I was supposed to get the van late in the evening by a lockbox. The lockbox didn't work. So instead to drive to coral gable for sleeping there, i have to take a hotel in Fort Lauderdale and drive the day after in the morning at 8h am. I lose 1 day plus pay a night for an hotelcarl B.

One issue I had was the fuel tank was not full at pick up and was told to bring the trick back with the same amount of fuel in it. Pretty hard to do so they got more fuel back in the truck than when I picked it up. The other issue was that the top front of the roof leaked on the 15' box truck and it poured rain the day we moved. Water got all over my wife's good clothing and other goods. The gentleman who checked the truck back in at the end of the day couldn't have care less about the water issue and damage and inconvenience caused. He was more interested in charging me for the few miles of extra driving I did. I guess this is what to expect from the world these days.Patrick R.

I reserved a 20-ft truck well in advance to have my order filled. 2 days before I was set to move I find out my truck is not available at that location and I have to go to another one. I called and got everything squared away with the manager and he assured me my truck would be there. The morning of the move I was instructed that I had to go to a different location to pick up my truck which would have cost me valuable time and money in mileage. I asked if I was going to be compensated for the mileage and they said no which would have cost me an extra $25. They gave me a 15 ft truck which turned one trip into three. So now because I have a 15-ft truck, it cost me extra money for the movers because if I had the 20-ft truck it all could have been done in one shot and two hours. Now the laborers that I hired have to go back and forth and work an extra 5 hours at the tune of $110 an hour. Again I asked if I'm going to be compensated for the mileage and they said no, I already gave you $10 off. He didn't give me $10 off, he gave me the rate of what a 15 ft truck is. The manager said he was going to put in for the $50 guarantee, but that was probably a lie also. If you can't accommodate what a consumer orders, don't make it available on the website. No one should be inconvenienced by poor mismanagement of a rental fleet.ANGELA L.

Rented the small trailer for few hrs and returned it in the same condition as received. Was charged for a cleaning fee and when called, they argued with me about the charge instead of explaining properly. Would never recommend or return to this location.Zoran R.
I was charge $17 plus for 3 gallons of gas . I took the truck with the gas gage a little to the left of the half way mark I drove about 16 miles both way and I put $10 gas in the tank. The agent said that I drove 30 miles which could never be possible. I made a mistake by not checking the mileage before I left. The is that I trusted the agent, because I rented truck many times from uhaul and I never had this experience I was charge $96 plus and my debit card was charge twice one for $29 and then $66 plus. I'm not sure that the staff could have done anything differently for me so I don't want to blame them but the attitude that came across was not even one of apology that my experience was already not going as planned. My pickup location was changed without my knowledge and because it was changed from one location on state road 84 (1,3 miles from my house) to another location on state road 84 (11 miles from my house), I did not notice when reviewing the text confirmation the night before because I had not memorized the street address. I just saw state road 84 and knew that was where I reserved the pickup. Also, when I spoke to a live person the night before, after receiving that text, that person never said anything to bring to my attention the change in pickup location. Seems like that should be standard, especially when changed from one location to another ON THE SAME ROAD. When I researched truck rentals before reserving, I read many customer reviews with this same feedback (UHaul does not have truck at pickup location reserved) so I discussed it with the UHaul rep before making a reservation and was assured I would get the truck I needed at the location I requested. The change to the pickup location had a significant effect on my moving day, as I planned to walk to the original pickup location to pick up my truck because I did not have anyone to drive me back at a later time to pick me up had I taken my car and left it in order to pick up the truck. The location I was switched to was 10 miles further so I could not walk there. And I could not Uber back later because I had my dog with me shortly after picking up the truck. Very disappointed with change in pickup location, poor communication if that change, and poor response to how that change effected me as a customer.JACQUELINE P.

I had placed a mobile reservation for 8:30 but the people who made my reservation on the phone didn't placed it as such, so after waiting 1 hour trying to figure out how to get to the key that was in the lock due to having no code I had to cancel that reservation to make one at another location, once I made that reservation I was told I was going to get the code to get a key at that location I get there and the key of the truck I had reserved was left inside the truck and truck was locked.... after that and spending 3 hours of my time trying to get a uhaul due to you guys handling your trucks a d schedules wrong I finally was able to get a uhaul at a location that wa really far from my house.... also due to the fact that I complain I was given just a $50 credit and it was really not worth it considering all the gas and uber I had to spend after that.JULIO S.

Good day On 5/21/2022 I contacted U-haul customer service to reserve a motorcycle trailer. My experience with customer service was top notch. I arrived to the pick up location to retrieve my rental. U-Haul signature ( Ocea Inman ) was my representative. I posed a question to him and he posed it to the other representatives. I then was instantly treated like a child. I do not appreciate this type of treatment from representatives. I asked if a purchase was made can it be returned. They stated no. I in return asked if I purchased this tape in your store with a receipt, but I didn't open the package can I return it. They stated yes but you're purchasing an item thats being used now and you can't return it. I didn't ask for the insight from your associates nor for them to treat me inappropriately. They misread my intent and treated me like a child. I am not a child, I know how to make a purchase. Just because I'm purchasing an item associate with this question doesnt give an associate the right to treat me the customer like a thief. I am not a thief. I have an OUTSTANDING job. Your associates complete misread me, my question and the situation. If they had just answered my question to the best of their knowledge without misinterpreting me as person. Please review your security footage for a more accurate account of what transpired. I didn't notice at first but after the purchase was made, packaged item opened and installed by your associate and not me, trailer hooked up by your associate and not me and I had already left the establishment, inside my package the item document had been DELIBERATELY ripped in half and unreadable. My package that I had just purchased from your establishment had just been damaged by one of your associates. I was FRUSTRATED to have been so VIOLATED by U-Haul that I've been renting from for over 20 years. I also was too far away to return now. I returned the next day to return my rental. U-Haul signature ( Ocea Inman ) was my representative. I returned the rental then entered the establishment per U-Haul signature ( Ocea Inman ) request to retrieve my paper receipt. After receiving my paper receipt from U-Haul signature ( Ocea Inman ) he left the establishment immediately. I then explained to the other representatives what had transpired the previous day, what I was doing now and my family nor I could read the information on the package due to the damage from you associate. I then exchanged the damaged document that was unreadable from my purchase the prior day with another of the same item in store. While I was inside your establishment I was told by your associates that the police were going to be called on me. I stated I am here waiting for the police to advise you damaged my purchase. I never purchased damaged items before. You are at fault. U-Haul signature ( Ocea Inman ) then entered the establishment and stated in a disturbing voice you are causing a scene, leave or I am calling the police. I left. I was the only customer in the establishment the entire time I am there. I have never written a complaint on anyone till today. I have never been so embarrassed 2 days in a row at the same establishment. I feel so disrespected, embarrassed, annoyed, mistreated, confused and stressed with the treatment I received from your associates at U-Haul in the Davie FL area. I was too embarrassed to return to the U-Haul location in Davie FL to get any other information. I need names of other associates in order to make any additional complaints. I could only get the name of the associate on my receipt U-Haul signature ( Ocea Inman ). I would like for U-Haul to show me U-Haul's policy and procedures when it comes to a customer making a purchase and the associate rips his document needed for explanation. It is unreadable inside the purchased item. This is all because I asked a question. I have the right to question anything and not be treated like a thief. I am a US CITIZEN, and would like to be treated fairly with any vendor at any establishment where I purchased goods or service. I have not damaged any of your property or equipment. I have had an excellent relationship in the past with U-Haul and its associates. This being my only negative experience to date 2 days in a row. I have new born twins they're not even 2 weeks yet and have not had sleep in 2 weeks. I am stressed from this experience.
