In Toledo U-Haul dropped off and picked up our U-Box, When it was delivered to us in Texas it was done by a second party who were great to work with but this part is VERY Deceiving and NOT at all what we were expecting.

I was supposed to get my uhaul before open hours, the truck was not where it was supposed to be and then the key lock box wasn’t on the wall where it was supposed to be. Later I found out that’s because it had been broken off the wall. Well don’t you think that would have been important to let uhaul.com know so they don’t let people schedule pickups for after hours? I’m only glad I scheduled pickup for an hour before they opened not after they closed, then I really would have been in trouble. The manager did give me some money back but the incompetency of the whole process was infuriating.

Truck was in horrible condition. The driver door would not even shut all the way. When we turned the gas lid to fill up, the lid cracked in half. And someone should have told us you cannot stand up a fridge unless at the rear of the unit (due to the overhead door). The Penske truck we used for our move across the country was in mint condition. We wished we had gone that route for this venture.

Drop off procedures were not properly explained and we were almost charged extra when we had but told we could drop it off after close with no additional fees as long as we used the online check in. Also, we did mot receive the dolly which made moving appliances very difficult but the associate did subtract it from our bill.

The staff did not communicate extremely important information to me about my rental/reservation. Although they were NICE, they did not give very good customer service as far as being transparent and making sure I had all the info I needed. They also put INCORRECT information on the contract and then charged me an incorrect charge. The first person I spoke with over the phone during my initial contact with Uhaul told me that I was able to reserve the 10' van for $19.95 plus mileage, but that I only had 4 hours with the van. Mind you, this was NOT because there was another reservation with the van, this was just her telling me incorrect information. I found out this information was incorrect when I went into the store to pick up the van and the guy who helped me told me I had 24 hours with it for the same rate. I told him I would be returning it the same day and he repeatedly told me I could bring it back whenever within the 24 hours time frame. He said word for word "you can bring it back here at 7 pm or 9 pm or 2 am." What he failed to mention OR point out on the contract was the after hours return procedure. So, when I arrived to return the van at 7:00 pm on 10/26/19, I had no idea what I was supposed to do and I luckily had the contract with me so I read over that and figured it out myself. THEN, the next morning, I called to confirm that they received the van and ask questions about how the charges worked on my card with the hold fee versus the actual charges. The guy who I spoke with on the phone literally just told me what I wanted to hear without looking into it or looking into my account what so ever. He told me that I was being refunded the difference in mileage. So, I get off the phone with him thinking I understand what is going on, only to find that they reported on my receipt that I owed more for the extra mileage (which I understand) and that I turned the van in at 7:12 am on the 10/27 when, in fact, I turned it in AND completed the after hours return survey online at 7:40 pm on 10/26. They tried to charge me the $20 after hours service fee for not supposedly not completing the return correctly and I had to call to get that reversed because it was completely bogus. Horrible customer service and the staff blatantly lied on my contract about the turn in date/time.

Was charged for 2 extra gallons of gasoline, my pictures show I returned it with the same amt of gas as when pick it up. Also, I when just 28 miles so with 2 gallons they added and the 4 gallons I added that average to about 4 miles per gallon for 10 ft. truck!

After already making arrangements to pick up truck at Stop N Store, found out at last minute when I called U-Haul's 800 number told to go to this location instead. I filled out an acct online to save time only to have to do the whole thing over again at the location. The people were nice and it all worked out but it was frustrating.

Employees were great. The equipment on the other hand. The truck I had the roof leaked, soaked my couch. The driver side door seal leaks, so you can’t turn the radio up loud enough to hear. Also around 60 mph the truck rattled and shakes so bad you could barely keep it between the lines. However I would rent from UHAUL again. Rental equipment just gets beat up. That’s the way it goes.

I am very pleased to let you know that your "General Manager" at the 50 West Alexis Road, Toledo, OH, location - Mr. Kyle Butts - represents your organization in the most positive manner! Mr. Butts is a "natural" in communication and people skills I am a 73-1/2 year old widow and I had to orchestrate my entire move by myself (my children all live in Georgia where I was going). I am "old school" and so I opted to actually go into the store/office versus use the phone. Mr. Butts was always polite, humorous and helpful when I came in to check, double-check and (I hate to admit it) triple-check my arrangements. You have hired a "natural" and a real professional as General Manager at this location in Mr. Butts!

I was charged a convenience fee of $20, and I dropped the truck off before my time was up and had to use a drop box. I was also charged for going over 3 miles, when I was told it wouldn't be a big deal if I went up to over 20 miles.I returned the truck at full instead of 3/4 full and it was clean! I feel as though I paid enough to rent it and shouldn't have been charged any extra fees. I would like my $20 refunded as U Haul should have notified me of the unauthorized charges that were added to my card!

The first guy was nice came out the first truck from detailing to help with my check in. Than came his rude unnecessary and nasty manager. Didn't ask who did what but started attacking me and being very very rude after I drove over 12 hours to tired to cuss his soul out about the set-up of their auto transporter. He was very rude with glasses.

I was originally given a van from a site that had no sales people. I was very upset by this process. And called and was able to get a van from Alexis road. I have used Alexis road before and was very happy with their service. When I get a call center it is always not good. I ask for military discount a d never get it but always get it from alexis road .
