No improvement! Easiest rental ever! Enclosed trailer was clean and in great shape. Customer service was great at pickup and drop off.

The cab was sticky in the cup holder areas. The cargo area wasn't swept out very well from former users. It wasn't too bad. We were able to accomplish our move.

The white man that claims he is the manager was very rude and disrespectful to me for no apparent reason he tried charging me for extra things that wasn't accurate to my contract. Worst place to rent a U-Haul

Despite an error at another center reserving the wrong type of truck, the center I was referred to on Appleton was very accommodating even assisting me with my cell phone photos. All worked out well in the end!

I was told that if I extended my reservation there would not be an additional charge. When I received the receipt there was a $20 charge for overnight drop off. The software could not read the QR code for the location, therefore, I could not complete the online drop off.

I did not use your service yet I keep getting emails and receipts about how I did and I think someone needs to do some research and find out why! Sending a confirmation and receipt for Leroy Riser with reservation #96974843 to my email address is not very professional and to me it's annoying, makes me upset and also makes me wonder why this person had my email address or how he got it! I'm not happy and stop sending his info to my email!

I made a reservation on Friday (for a Monday pick up) at a different location nearer my home. Just to receive a text the very next day (Saturday) to say my pickup was going to be at the Milwaukee location vice the said RESERVATION location. Naturally Monday I called the original store location that the reservation was made via phone to find that the owner was just as surprised that the trailer had been removed and/or rented out from beneath me. Essentially he had zero idea whom or when the trailer was taken from his inventory over the weekend. This gentleman was very courteous and cooperative but shocked none the less. Apparently these toy hauler trailers are very scarce, it then cost me an additional $60+ over original price estimate to now have it deemed a one way trailer and return it to the origin of the original reservation; again because this location was closer to my home (convenience). So I not only did I have a RESERVATION jerked out beneath me, this owner was left embarrassed and just as surprised, dare I say SHOCKED how this played out. But I was PENALIZED an additional $60+ to simply return it to a different location (place of RESERVATION origin). Secondly, when I picked up the trailer it was missing the safety pin that "locks" the trailer to the ball. A SAFETY feature that comes on ALL trailers. When I confronted the Manager, he stated that it is "standard" that they usually don't have one. If U-Haul is concerned about customer and equipment SAFETY, why would this very large and heavy trailer or any trailer for that matter not have this SAFETY pin. Particularly when the average Joe is not generally very versed at hauling trailers of any kind. I was hoping he would then pull a pin off the accessories shelf to provide me one. His response was it has SAFETY CABLES! I would prefer not have the trailer potentially come off and/or have to rely on the SAFETY CABLES in the first place. I have had this happen once; yes the safety chains did their job and kept the trailer attached to the vehicle after a harrowing swaying trailer loaded with 2 motorcycles and having the trailer tongue destroy my rear bumper to the tune of $1 200 for a new bumper replacement and repainting. So I do take this SAFETY feature very seriously. Furthermore I would like to add that I am a professional driver with a CDL and tractor trailer experience and currently work as a boat transporter/deliverer AND a 25 year veteran of the Coast Guard. So needless to say, I have MANY YEARS of trailering multiple different types of trailers, boats, and heavy equipment. I was utterly amazed at the pure "lack of concern and dismissal" of this SIMPLE issue. So I finally said I would get my own pin and install it when I got it home. The managers response "OK"! Amazing…again the average Joe renting equipment daily I would truly imagine has very little to no real experience and would think a company of this size nationwide would do everything in its legal power to ENSURE the safety of the equipment, operation, and legal obligation to not only the customer but to absolutely cover its own hide as not to be held liable for failing to ENSURE SAFETY protocols were adhered to. This puts everyone at risk including the general public and fellow citizen drivers. Again, I've had a trailer decouple some years ago on a major interstate traveling at 70 mph; ONLY due to my experience was I able to safely control and maneuver the vehicle off to the shoulder with relatively minor damage considering it could've been a catastrophic accident which could have potentially involved other vehicles had it gotten out of control. So this lack of concern or dismissal was shocking to me coupled with the UNDERCUT "RESERVATION" at my literal expense and time royally upsetting and disturbing me. Isn't a RESERVATION meant to mean it is RESERVED for me. Lastly, the U-Haul app was completely useless to complete the transaction for required "terms and conditions" necessary to press forward to pay for the transaction. I attempted to do this immediately after the reservation was made to ensure everything would be locked in; I called the owner where I originally made this reservation and was assured we could complete this part of the transaction when I came in to pick it up and that this was not uncommon with this app. I would appreciate a refund of the additional cost acquired…my rental cost me $157 and change due to U-Hauls errors when I was quoted $89 and change when the RESERVATION was made. The young lady at the Milwaukee location WAS very professional and courteous when I went in to complete the transaction, but the Manager needs a review for lack of concern regarding SAFETY CONCERNS what he deemed as "the norm". Maybe even higher up the U-Haul ranks if this is the general consensus. Low marks for this location for all the aforementioned reasons. I hope my review actually drives positive change regarding safety protocol and again would appreciate a refund for the difference for my inconvenience and having to use my personal equipment to ensure the safe operation of their equipment. I welcome someone, anyone at U-Haul to call and discuss this with me. Please! My number should be on file. Otherwise I will seriously reconsider my future rental choices. I have used U-Haul many times in the past with zero reservation or equipment issues. This was a very frustrating and disappointing transaction because naturally I had a reason to rent it in the first place and timing was of the essence creating undo stress to an already stressful situation/circumstance.

Initially gave us the wrong trailer. It is a scam that you rent trailers and do not give straps. Also, since Uhaul messed up me reservation, Ib was not given the discount on the trailer rental like I had in the reservation I did. When asked about it, was told its a deposit. No it wasn't!

This was the third time in a week that I had to rent a truck and I had the same man the last two times and he was so helpful and friendly.

Dropped off after hours. It was unclear where to park for self drop off. The location was also small and narrow, and could only fit a few vehicles. I was the third in that area. There was not much room to take the required pictures of the truck.

It was semi clean. The floors was clean and cupholders weren't but y'all trucks drive horrible like something is wrong with the transmission and that's the second time I had a truck that was like that. I made reservations. truck ready I was in and out give you an excellent on that but the overall on the truck itself drives terrible

Although renting the truck was easy and hassle free. Returning it was a nightmare. I did the after hours return on the app. It took over 30 minutes. It kept making me submit and resubmit photos of the truck. I couldn't move on to the next step. I also have yet to receive my refund.

I rented a pickup truck online from the Milwaukee/Appleton Ave location. The rental contract was in my name and I paid with my credit card and received a contract showing a zero balance. I am disabled and do not drive, so I added an additional driver and it received a message that he would need to present a valid DL and a second form of ID (ie a credit card). From When he returned the truck, they changed the rental contract into his name and charged his credit card, without my or his authorization. When I called, the General Manager, he said he didn't know what the online rental say and he coul could not refund my friend's card angdvvcga

Yes, the truck was clean, but as far as maintained, no it was not maintained blown out speaker also to a blown out headlight as well. It was not inspected when we had gotten the truck. The employer told me before we got the truck. It was already inspected. No, it wasn't. We were traveling from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Illinois Chicago. We definitely got pulled over by the police because of one headlight.

The supervisor Mr. Michael, was very rude. He was the one who rented me a storage and the storage was already in use. I picked another unit and had to pay another amount. I was told that the first amount I paid one the first storage unit would be returned back to my debit card, the money was never returned. His attitude shows me that he may not be as honest as he pretends.

If it wasn't for the rat problem I would recommend this place. Fortunately, I didn't have food in my storage but, you can tell by all the droppings and blood that rats were there! Besides that, the staff were really nice and courteous. My most precious memories were stored an intact. A few bites on my furniture but otherwise it could've been worse! Merci.

This facility was my worst Uhaul storage experience. On move-out I had to pay for an extra cargo can rental because the gate was NOT functional until ~ 5 pm on 3/24/24. On 11 different storage access days, I had difficulty gaining timely access to my unit. Sometimes not at all, sometimes it took excess of 30 minutes. Eventual access required multiple attempts, driving in and out of gate to trouble shoot door access error telling me I wasn't checked in. This facility also had NO gate remote openers available, so this required exiting and re-entering my vehicle in snowy, cold Wisconsin weather. I moved out of this facility and into a different storage facility. An attempt to have the site manager proactively trouble shoot this KNOWN inconvenience and possibly compensate me for the same, lead to him being rude and disrespectful with me, the customer, on the phone. I will recommend Uhaul to someone; But DEFINITELY NOT this 76th & Appleton location.

Just to recommend a little something for each storage if you get some tomcat poison and put in there or have the people that's leasing the storage to buy some and put it in there before they put their furniture in there It will keep rotten out of the storage. Thank you. Have a wonderful day.

They still need to make more room for entrance, I couldn't get into the lot because other customers would block the entrance, also too many uhaul trucks blocking the gate entrance to the storage units. I was blocked twice, wasting about 25 minutes for customers to move and get access to the gate due to customer car/truck blockage! Other than that customer service great! I appreciated their help!

Scammers on insurance claim for Rep west the person who they send out don't come and lie and say they came to inspect and I had to settle for a lower payment when I had $5000 worth of coverage also I told Joe about rodents n smell from storage in front of mine bugs crawling out their storage smell was so bad you can smell outside before you enter storage and Joe knows that when he rented me the storage wouldn't let me use free storage certificate gave me run around also when I filed claim they lied stating I said it rained in storage so I couldn't get my amount of $5000 now I couldn't rent a truck 2times giving me a print out stating call Rep west insurance I call them they transfer me to some lady her voicemail states if you have a hold that's that

There is an location I had my car stored at on Good hope road in Milwaukee. I wasn't pleased with the location had to move my car because location isn't secure.

I moved my stuff out of storage early due to the incompetent employee's and a mice infestation problem. There were mice crawling on and in my boxes when I went in. I took video of all the mouse feces.

The two gentlemen, Samuel and I forgot the other man's name, but they were polite, professional, knowledgeable, honest, and funny. Even though they cracked a few jokes they still did their job in a timely manner, made me laugh, and felt secure about keeping my belongings there. I wanted to move my stuff out of shelter 4 days after my payment was due and had to pay the full month of usage which I thought was crazy. It should have been pro rated.

The facility was clean but prior to me utilizing the storage, I noticed a loose aluminum frame hanging from the ceiling. I mentioned it to worker who was assisting me but nothing was done.

My u-boxes were not shipped from Seattle to Milwaukee when requested. Too many extra fees for this and that. Also charged fo an extra month of rent because they could not get my stuff to me in time.
