The driveway of my unit has a decline at the other end so heavy rains causes water to rush again the pull up gate and water goes under and into my unit. I had a lot of water damage to my coffee tables and a brand new mattress molded. I didn't have insurance. I noticed other aisles the drive way is more even.

The truck engine light was on, I was told there was an issue and it was fixed before I took the truck. The issue was it fixed which caused more gas consumption than it was suppose to. I know because I used a truck before same distance. Also there are people sleep in the units with the doors up in plain view during the day and evening.

MITZI BELL | Expérience généraleI just think the security there is not to par… the gate was always open.. never used the clicker since it was open and you had people there that isn't part of the storage begging and hustling (which I do and don't mind) but if someone was there like that it meant they came and went as they pleased into the storage facility…. Other than that it was easy to get the unit and easy to "move out " of the unit. The unit was pretty clean and there is nothing you can do about bugs on an outdoor storage. And I think that is about it on the actual unit….

Drema Apruebo | Expérience généraleI had so many problems with uhaul during my experience from rude store workers like Monique to not being able to see footage of where I think my unit was broken into after reporting that staff and my unit had no camera near by, then reporting was a mess and took months and was only resolved by Mr Smiley after accidentally bumping into him... he took care of me, but I wouldn't trust the this would work twice if necessary, not enough staff in the unit, it was a whole hot mess and if presented with the option to use another competitor before uhaul at the same price I would try them next time and I would only use uhaul if not given any other option but uhaul, I'm just being honest

He removed all items and returned the key on August 12. However, I continued to receive emails demanding that additional rent be paid and threatening a lien on the nonexistent contents of the unit. I called the Belt Blvd office twice, on August 24 and September 4, asking that the account be closed. Each time someone said that they would close it, but the harassing emails continued until a final call was made September 15. This was over a month after the unit was emptied and key returned. An email to U-Haul customer service also went unanswered.

Went that night to move furniture into the storage along with hired hands the store lock was never taken off and the manager assured me she was going right over to take the lock off.called on all service drove around over hour trying to find a storage with the lock off to accommodate our needs. Went the next day gave them the storage number thought we were all on the same page which spoke with the store manager that is just incompetent no customer service quality assurance and stated " She was sorry she failed to cut the lock. But then talked about her being busy what about me being inconvenienced and having to pay movers extra money. Then I've been burden by threatening emails related to my storage and late fees this has been the worst experience I have had storage before in the past but you need to retrain your managers so they will have follow through and accountability. I have called several times trying to get billing straight most recently this past Sunday this which was suppose to be fixed on may 2 then when I first called but this place is ridiculous the manager needs to go through sensitivity training aswell. I feel like sum compensation should occur. I have also witnessed others having similar difficulties and my job I'm a director of nursing very demanding job and this has been terrible. Surprised still in business with McKenzie as a manager.I would like a follow up call related on how the situation can be rectified and if any disciplinary action are to be handed down.

I brought a uhaul lock she stated she would take theirs off. I paid movers we get to the storage 1109 lock on the unit this is at 7:22 pm. Their lock was never removed called the after hour customer service thank god. We had to ride to over 100+ different unit to try to find one without a lock in the dark with flashlight with mover following us for over an hour. Found a couple but too small to accommodate 10x10 a so we continued finally we got a storage on the 1300 block the customer service lady on the phone until we found one apologizing for someone else not following through, This was already a long day of packing and to add to our mental distress and financial had to pay the movers extra for the basically 2hours over the time we agreed upon. Apparently this uhaul sales person at belt boulevard failed to meet customer satisfaction, I hope that this will help with Quality assurance,maybe a refresher on procedure and processes .

john clark | Expérience généraleWhere do I start. Moved my entire house 2 hours away.. arrived at night before uhual closed..I was charged and "checked in" to my storage. Given a receipt and charged for a lock for the storage unit because I was told I needed one.(apparently wrong lock which was a letter lock) Left and returned the next morning at 8am to unload truck as it was late and raining the night before. I return to realise I was never given access to my storage unit the night before. Uhaul didn't open until 9am. So I waited an hour so I could be given access. Keep in mind I had friends with me drive with me from my home town to assist unload. I was on a tight schedule and had to head back to my home town right after unloading. 9am comes and no one opens the store up. We waited and the line for uhual started to grow. 10 am comes and I had to leave and drive 2 hours back to my home town. Finally get back to gain access to my uhual. I was told there were no units available to me..after I checked in the night before. I was given paper work/checked in for a unit number that had someone else's belongings inside of it. Of course a truck and a storage unit to store the trucks belongings was set up a month prior. Only to find out that when I show up to gain access that my 10x15 truck was not going to fit in their 10x10 unit they "reserved" for me that they didn't really even reserve because nothing was made available for my drop off day. I then was directed to another uhual 20 mins away. Me being from out of town and moving alone from one city to another knowing no one from the new city. I only had help from friends that lived 2 hours away. So now what was supposed to be a well planned move became chaos. I know dont have help until the following week to unload things. My truck was loaded with the intention of pulling things out that I needed (work computer, clothes) for the time being my stuff would be in storage. My 5,2" self had to climb to the back of the truck which was jam packed with my furniture to gain access. This entire experience caused me so much stress and tears as again im in a new town alone with no help. I will make sure everyone knows my experience and hope they decide not to go through uhual when needed services.

He even accepted the vehicle back a few minutes after close so I wouldn't have to drop it off before work the next day. I love my uhaul and can't imagine renting a truck or storage unit anywhere else.

LAVENIA LEWISWhen I returned the truck and furniture pads I was told by the man checking us in (his name was Tony) that I needed to fold all the furniture pads. We had used about 30. When I questioned this he said "They weren't that way when you picked them up, were they? If you don't fold them you will be charged $50." I found his manner rude and unprofessional. When returned another truck to a location near this one, I asked the woman checking me in if that was Uhaul policy. She said it was a courtesy if the customer folded them but it wasn't required. She said she'd never heard of a $50 charge. She said the most they charged was $25 if the truck needed to be cleaned. I think Uhaul should be aware of what happened. BTW, I may have given this feedback earlier but for the second location, one in the 500 block of Belt Blvd. it should be attached to the 301 Belt Blvd location. Sorry for the confusion.

I agreed to pay $82 and signed the lease, was no gas in the truck, she said u have credit $16 because of that.after my return was charged $111when I asked about the $16i was threatened and the guy called the manager on the phone and said; come over, I have a customer crying over $16, I'm about to loss it. Then I felt in comfortable and left the store

jeffrey jablonskiCustomer service was the worst I've ever experienced- she was rude, unhelpful, did not review my paperwork at all, including the charges we would incur. Upon return, she immediately commented on some "damage" to the truck. She said she had to take pictures for record keeping, but was unable to provide us with a photo or even a single piece of paper indicating the condition of the truck before we left. She also accused is of being liars, and said that nothing about us would convince her otherwise. I have used Uhaul for my moves for almost 20 years. This will never happen again. Good work - one horrid employee cost you 20 years of recommendations. -Megan V
megan vanschaickMy fiancé and I waited for over an hour to get our cargo van. This was completely unacceptable especially since we arrived 30 minutes early. Although we understood it was a busy day, the person at the front desk (she was the only one up there) did not know how to fix a system problem after I swiped my card thus delaying our day. We just ended up sitting there. I even volunteered to look for the manager but without a storage I wasn't able to. Once the manager arrived (the woman at the front tried to reach her several times), it took her two minutes, if that, to solve the issue. That's how long We should have been in there. I was angry and very dissatisfied with the service and the time we wasted. For the inconvenience, I seriously considered asking for unlimited mileage. The worst part of it is we had a reservation. It wasn't as if we were waiting around for a Uhaul to become available. I wouldn't recommend this particular location to others. The space was tight regarding parking, and they were clearly understaffed for busy weekend rentals. The only redeeming quality was how polite they were.

LORIS LONGESTYoung lady dropping off her truck as I was waiting had an issue with how her payment was being processed, which the manager had to get involved to resolve, held up my schedule time to receive the truck. 45 minutes later I finally rcvd the truck BUT it was the same truck the young lady in front of me dropped off. Even though the manager was polite and kept apologizing, my time was being wasted on another customers' problem.

TONY CURTISThe original pick-up was scheduled at the Lombardy location, but upon arrival I was told it was actually for the 500 E Belt location. Upon arriving at the 500 E Belt location, no one was there to assist so I called Customer Service who explained that I would receive a $50 guarantee and that I could go to the 351 E Belt location instead. Upon arriving there, the woman assisting us was pleasant and efficient. Had it not been for her, I would have gone with another company.
IAN WEBSTERMy original pick up location and reservation was across the street at 500 Belt Blvd, Richmond. The store was not open and I sat there for over an hour waiting until someone from the uhaul storage location at 351 Belt offered to help get a truck. They were very helpful. There were a couple customers waiting for a truck but the store never opened.

I was taken back by the attention I received. The reason though was that U-Haul had removed vans from the 2 locations closest to me and now I drive almost into the city to rent one.

NANCY GUNNwhen you schedule a pickup don't change it at the last minute. Train places to be more friendly and helpful. First place said I had no reservation. Try to insist I take 3 days of insurance when I only need 1. Location 2 better up not trained properly.

We made reservations paid them in full and uhaul customer service accidently cancelled them and we had to get a smaller truck which did not accommodate us at all. There were several different issues we came across with uhaul. I would not suggest this company to anyone.
