1. No eating on the floor. Customers waited for service while staff ate food. (Not good) 2. I received a vehicle with lots of wear and tear. I had to use my reserved time to inspect and take photos of previous damages. It doesn't seem fair to the customer.

I Was Charged For Another Day. The Way Scheduled To Back At Five pm , Today. Clerk Said Vehicle Was Checked In At 5.32. pm I Didn't Leave This Location Yesterday Til Five fifteen pm Yesterday. So For A matter Of Fifteen To twenty minutes,I Get Charged For Another Day? This Is Extreme. Especially After Paying For All The Driven Miles And Refueling This Vehicle. I Never Pull Right Off From The Lot Before I Physically Check A Vehicle For Problems. This Whole Experience Has Me Apprehensive On Using Your Services Ever Again.😐

Arrived at the facility and nobody greeted me. I said good morning with no response in return. The gentleman ask to click a link to download my ID without explaining the process. After I downloaded my I'd, the Uhaul employee walked from behind the desk and walked outside towards a truck. I followed him outside. He turned and said, “ I didn't ask you to follow me, you need to go back inside.” He did not explain why he was walking outside prior to leaving. I asked if was okay if I parked my car outside with no response. I parked my car outside of the facility and received a phone call 2 hours later by an employee telling me that I need to come back and move my vehicle across the street from the location. This put me behind schedule of my vehicle return and I was charged for this inconvenience. I will never return to that location and I will expedite my experience up the the chain!

We always rent from Bladensburg Road location even though it's not the closest location to us, because the manager is really top notch and that's something we really value. The employees are all nice, personable and polite and really make me feel at ease. Although driving a U-Haul is not the most “fun” activity for me, the check in process and the vehicles at this location are always, always better than I imagine beforehand and I'm always pleased with my experience at this location once all is said and done. I really recommend Bladensburg Road location when in the DMV! I think we have used them 4x now. Always happy!

First, Marcelle provided excellent customer service when I picked up the trailer. But, when I dropped off the trailer there was anything but customer service. I pulled into the return lane. When asked if I would back the large trailer into a spot, I declined due to my poor trailer parking skills and the tight quarters. One male employee then said he could drive my truck and do it. I declined that as well for liability issues. The three employees then began berating me, telling me I couldn't drop the trailer in the return area. They only stopped when I began disconnecting the trailer myself. But the one male employee continued to insult me as he finished the disconnect. I have never experienced this at any rental company. I certainly will not be back

We got there first so we were waited on immediately. However because there was only one person working and they were extremely attentive and wanted to make sure I knew how to do everything there were other people waiting. I would recommend another staffer because I really appreciate the man that helped us and would not have wanted him to move quicker to the next customer until we were comfortable driving a trailer.

Start with being more welcoming. When you walk in the environment is unpleasant as if they don't want your business. This is the second time I've felt disrespected at the Bladensburg location. I will use another company for my next move. They do not acknowledge you when you walk in, after my truck us pulled up for me the employee just left me outside he never checked on me again to see if I had any questions. As a matter of fact he went to check on his blue older model clunker that was parked outside. Jermaine Grimes told me I could not rent the truck without a secondary phone number. They use every rule in the book to make the process tedious. Usually when someone is transitioning homes you're already overwhelmed to add insult to injury you have to contend with the unpleasantness of the people serving you. That's entirely too much. The rental wasn't free so I won't pay to be disrespected. Even if you give me a free rental I'm not coming back. I'm going to pay Uhaul back for such POOR customer service by taking my business elsewhere. I thought the first time around maybe they were having a bad day. This is the second time so this is how they operate at this location. I regret not saying something sooner. I could have probably prevented heartache for another consumer. They use every rule in the book to repel you, what can you do when time is of the essence, and you have a deadline. NOW I KNOW BETTER. They do business with a air of arrogance, they don't care to compete with other moving companies. Leave and take your business elsewhere if you want or accept our ridiculous terms. As a Pre- Med student I took a few business classes, but I didn't need those courses to see through this nonsense. I'm so done and fed up with the two APPALLING experiences I had I don't care about an apology. I want payback the best payback for me is to take my business to another company. Oh yeah and I'll tell others to do the same. I'll be doing research sooner for my next move. If someone I know is moving I will recommend another company. I want this location CLOSED FOR GOOD. I will spread the word in my public platform if needed. If I have to pay more money with another company I STILL DON'T CARE. Even the manager is USELESS, you'd assume with that level of authority she'd be better than her employees by being more accommodating WRONG!!!! I'm telling everyone I know. Word gets around fast amongst college students. The minute I got the email for this review I opened the email immediately to detail my detest for this location and narrated the Classlessness of the parties involved. You can't bribe me with an apology or free stuff. I'm going to see to it that business is impeded on my end. OH yeah my experience was THAT BAD!!!! They talk at you NOT to you. The best way to describe it is like a criminal being investigated. All of the people working at this location are a joke, they all act the same. I did notice a new face with this second interaction same problem. I was in a rush with limited time, NEVER AGAIN. What a DISGRACE!!!

When I rented the truck on the web I was forced to select a location on a Sunday, 3 days after my rental. I knew I would return the next day but could not change the return date, or the return location. When I picked up the truck, I was told I could return to any location. I tried to return to U-Haul Capitol Hill on K St., D.C. After standing in the parking lot trying to return via /share for 15 minutes but couldn't change the return location, I found the place was still open but the door is not visible. I went inside to return but since it was 3 minutes before closing the rude man and woman working there would not help me. They said I had to go to the other location or they would charge me a fee. Didn't care at all, just wanted me to get out, so they could close and leave. Absolutely awful. So I had to go to the other location.

The location was great but again, there were issues with UHaul's reservation system. I had originally reserved a location closer to where I am located but once everything got messed up with the original pickup in NH, I ended up not only having a ‘call when in DC' listed as the location, but had to travel further away from my new location in order to drop off the vehicle and equipment. This is of no fault to the location but rather a major issue on the reservation/corporate side of U-Haul.

This was the third location that we were moved to for a truck. We got there and they said that our truck had gas but we would need to fill it but would get a $30 credit. It cost us over $70 (I have pictures) and we returned it with more gas than what it came with. We almost weren't able to get to a gas station because it was on zero (also have pictures)

#2952961, I rented a vehicle that was not properly serviced before rental, I had to stop my move 3 hours after renting and bring the vehicle back to the lot. The staff was rude and unprofessional and the woman checking in the vehicle upon check in was wearing a durag on her head and had the temperment to match. I thought I was living out an episode of "Girlz in the Hood at Uhaul, east coast style". I did not take physical possession of the vehicle until at little after 3pm. In fact the office held possession of the vehicle keys until that time in case they needed to move any of the other rental vehicles on the lot. The Branch Manager Mr. Parker was not in the office when I returned the vehicle, I was not offered to be switch into another vehicle. Although it was documented by the staff the tire pressure light was on and the vehicle was properly serviced after I returned the vehicle and before they rented the vehicle to another customer. As a result my move was delayed and not completed until the next morning on Nov 17,2020 which has been documented by the storage facility. The General Manager, Mr. Parker refused to provide me with any adjustment in my bill although they did document that there was a tire pressure problem with the truck, which caused me to make the decision to return the vehicle back to the lot. According to Uhaul.com Incorrect tire pressure can cause poor stability, an uneven ride and poor gas mileage. Underinflated tires are dangerous. ... underinflated tires can cause early tire failure, including tread separation and blowouts, as happened to the First Baptist Church van. ... On one occasion, the left-rear tire that failed was inflated as low as 50 psi, ... Mr. Parker stated to me on 11/24/2020 1:24pm via telephone because he did not respond to my last email correspondence. At this time he stated low tire pressure should have not been a real concerned and caused for me to disrupt my moving process and bring the vehicle back to the lot. I wonder if it was this same attitude that we care about the money and are not concerned about the renter that lead to the the tragic incident involving U Haul listed below: Tragic Multiple Death Case Due to Underinflated Tires Settled ...sjblaw.com › tragic-multiple-death-case-due-to-underin... But after my conversation with Mr. Parker where he acknowledge there was a problem with the tire pressure causing the pressure warning lights to come on the vehicle and he offered no compensation or empathy. I am seeking a full refund.

Pure bait and switch scam. Approved for one-way for $139 flat rate then one day before call to say the truck is not available for one-way and forced to do in town for $260. Avoid if possible.

I had to wait for almost 45 minutes once I got there. This cut into my allotted moving time. Eventually, another employee came to help the woman working, but there definitely should have been an additional person there initially. The first truck I was given had windshield wipers that didn't work. I was given a different truck, and I didn't realize until I got to my destination that the lock on the truck didn't work, possibly from rust. In addition, I requested a dolly, but they somehow already didn't have one at 7am. I would recommend having a greater supply of tools or being more prepared to not offer them at all.

Location is somewhat difficult to get to...my reservation was changed to this location so I was a little bit annoyed with that, but apparently they had the size trailer that I needed. Staff was very helpful and fixed an issue with my U-Haul tow bar.

Uhaul should not have customers to recheck in their own vehicles, I thought trucks was rented by the day, I had to return it by 6pm when I picked it up at 12 and I didn't have enough time to finish moving, couldn't extend my rental because I paid 118. For 6 hrs..

The vehicle was dusty inside, which tells me it was not sanitized. Additionally, the tire pressure was low. So not only was it not in good condition, it was not safe. You need to tell ppl before they make a reservation on your website that you don't parking for customers to secure their vehicle while using the rental. Very misleading.

On 10/30 I reserved a 20 foot truck because I was moving from Oxon Hill, MD to Waldorf MD which is about 23 miles apart. I reserved a one way trip because the pickup was ten minutes from the move out location and the drop off was ten minutes from the move in location. Once I arrived to the pickup location at 9am on 10/31 I was told that a truck was not available for me to pick up and I had to wait a few days. I didn't have that option because my lease was up that same day and I had to be out by midnight. I was also told that someone called me and left a message letting me know a truck wasn't available. I did not receive that call and didn't have a “missed call" showing on my phone. After speaking to a sales rep at uhaul via phone call I was advised that the “only” truck that was available was a 10 foot truck that was in Washington DC. which was clearly out of my way. I was also told that the truck had to be returned to that Washington DC location. I had no other choice because I had to be out by midnight. My plans clearly changed. Because of the inconvenience my trip changed from a 23-25 mile trip to a 120 mile trip. Instead of filling up a 20 foot truck one time I had to fill up the 10 foot truck twice costing me more time, more gas and more mileage all equaling more money. Instead of my trip being one way from Oxon Hill MD to Waldorf MD it became: 1. Washington DC to Oxon Hill MD 2. Oxon Hill MD to Waldorf MD 3. Waldorf MD to Oxon Hill MD (2nd trip) 4. Oxon Hill MD to Waldorf MD 5. Waldorf MD to Washington DC (to return truck) Instead of paying $60-$70, my total was $210 which is very disappointing. I've used uhaul on several occasions and never received this type of service before and to a certain degree I have lost confidence in uhaul producing what they advertise.

What should be simple logistical planning was very difficult. First, I wasn't being charged for a 2nd UBox - it required many calls and a few months to get that fixed. Moving out was also a disaster.
