The women working were extremely rude! Huge attitudes. They didn't want to do their jobs and seemed like they didn't even want to be at work. I am very irritated that I was charged $12 for 2 gallons of gas. I received the Uhaul on E and drove 30mi. And put 4 gallons back in the Uhaul. I will be disputing the additional $12 charge with my Credit Card company.Sally C.

We've used this particular location because it's conveniently located in a central area. My only suggestion would be that although there may be some unpleasant customer interactions due to location. Not all customers are the same. I don't expect overly friendliness, but at the least be a little nice in demeanor. I'd been over charged at my last rental (in the same location) and wanted my paper receipt for this new rental. And it felt more like I was inconveniencing the rep asking for verification of my return before leaving the facility. It's hard being on the Boulevard at times I'm SURE(having worked on the Boulevard for years myself in the past),but all customers are not the same. The customer is your bread and butter and keep you gainfully employed. Just saying. when customers patronize your establishment they are spending their hard earned money and could have gone elsewhere. Can't lose sight of the customer in the customer service business. Uhaul is my go to and has been for years but in some area location in the Fayetteville, NC locations the customer service aspect has declined.Akisha D.

Overall experience was great, as usual. Customer service was exceptional! The only gripe was the access into the storage unit building was less than desirable. Especially since I was rolling a cart with crates on it. The walkway was very poor leading into the building making it very difficult to enter. My reservation was for 5pm on Sunday which I guess is the time the location closes. When I got there right at 5, one of the employees who I assume was the manager on shift started freaking out to her other co worker asking how I got in and the door should be locked. After her rant another employee asked me what I was doing in the store, to which I told him I had a reservation at 5, he responded how dumb it was that they let me reserve at 5 while they were supposed to be closed. Overall my reservation was fulfilled, and was even given a 20' truck instead of a 15' truck due to them not having my reserved truck, but even though I got upgraded the whole experience was awkward and uncomfortable because the lady who ended up helping complained the whole time that she didn't have time and they needed to close.Ryan B.

I recently made a trip from Texas to North Carolina, after 14 years, to finally get my keepsakes out of storage and clean out the storage unit. My entire 3 bedroom house was contained in this storage unit, and I was extremely excited to finally go through these old memories, or so I thought. Upon arrival, I found that my lock has been cut and my unit has been moved. That was problem number 1, why was my unit moved? Finally, after speaking to management and explaining that I shouldn't be charged for the lock and key when I have my key on me, and the lock was cut without my knowledge, and without me present, the management allowed me to move forward without paying for that lock. Now, the maintenance man drilled out the lock, and I rolled up the unit door. At which point, my jaw dropped. My entire 3 bedroom house was dwindled down to a few boxes on one of the walls, a few trash bags, and a couple pieces of broken furniture. Everything else was gone! My beds, Livingroom sets, dining sets, 3 bedroom sets, most of my boxes of stuff; everything was gone. I immediately contacted the management and was met with even more questions. Nobody seemed to have any answers. As management went over the situation, I started looking at what I had left. As I opened boxes, I found mold, mildew, and rat/mouse infestations in the remaining boxes. Out of my storage unit, I was able to scrape together less than one medium sized tote of stuff to take home with me. This included about a quarter of my service awards, one class A jacked with ribbons, half of my baseball cards I had as a child, and maybe 20 of my 500-1000 pictures. Everything else was destroyed. Management got back to me while at the unit. Apparently there was a hurricane that went through in 2016, and my unit was underwater. They moved my unit and threw away everything that was wet. The unit was essentially a total loss. I have been paying for this unit for 14 years. Why couldn't they tell me that my unit was underwater and everything was destroyed? UHauls answer to this? We tried to contact you. Really!?!?! You sure have the ability to send me a bill, verify I paid it, and call when payments are going up, but you can't contact me to tell me everything in my unit has been destroyed by a hurricane?!?!?!?! REALLY!!!!! Anyway, I continued to pay the bill thinking everything was fine with my unit for an additional 7 years. Afterall, what I don't know keeps them getting paid for the unit. What did management tell me? I need to submit an insurance claim, and they will need an itemized list of everything destroyed. How am I supposed to produce an itemized list of everything in that storage unit when it was an entire 3 bedroom house, especially trying to remember 14 years ago, and they 95 % of it away without my knowledge? Now, the insurance garbage I have been dealing with. I tried to contact the insurance carrier for Uhaul , the one that handles the claims, and literally never heard anything. Nobody answered the phone, nobody emailed me, nobody returned the call. I left voicemail after voicemail, and no replies. I tried for weeks to no end, and finally gave up. I guess the way insurance claims work is if nobody answers the phone, I guess my claim cannot be submitted. No submitted claim means no refund for 14 years (7 minimal) and repayment of the furnishings for an entire 3 bedroom house. To answer your question, "Please rate your overall experience storing with U-Haul?" I wouldn't do business with Uhaul if they literally got on their knees and begged me. Signing out equipment was a nightmare. Computers in the front desk could not work to either select, sign or make payment electronically. The lady at the front desk had to do it manually and it could not work either. I spend more than 30 minutes in the store waiting to check out the equipment. There is only one staff working at the front desk. Staff had no time to even explain how the equipment works, any issues with the equipment, even a walk through. It would help if your staff listened to customer needs. I asked for a small trailer to transport a scooter that had broken down to a repair facility and got a 6 foot wide, 12 foot long trailer probably because you could charge more for it than the numerous other smaller trailers on the lot. I acknowledge I could have gone back in, waited in line to cancel what I got and rebook what I asked for but it took time that I did not have. My lesson if I use UHaul again is to never walk in but book exactly what I want on line and simply pick it up. The young man who was learning and being shown how to process a walk in was pleasant and courteous but being given a bad example to follow to satisfy customer requirements.roy B.

My storage bill was due in the 18th of each month. When I went to turn in my access key at 9:45am on the 18th, I was told I had a balance for the upcoming month. I was told I would be responsible to pay that month even though I was no longer in the unit. After argument and a phone call to however, I was cleared with a zero balance. Absolutely foolish! I did contact the store to ask what protocol was. There are times where I had to wait in line 30-45 mins just to buy something from the store or ask a question. Maybe you should improve the concrete ramp at the West end of the storage building with unit #646/5' x 10'. We struggled on this using the cart for a couple loads until we found the ramp on the East end of the building was better suited for use with the cart. When booking the storage , we were told it would be 24/7 all we had to do was enter our access code. I double checked with the representative that had helped me to make sure because we were traveling 4hours to this site. I was assured i would be able to put my things in storage 24/7. We get to the site at around 10:07 and attempt to put in our code. It said access denied- closed. I called the Number on the sign for after hour assistance no answer. I called the U-Haul customer service number and was on the phone with her. She told me we were misinformed and tried to reach out to the gm for me. No answer. We had to camp out in our cars till the storage opened because we couldn't get in.
