The U-haul app asks for so much information, so many pictures, so many steps that it feels burdensome. While it's nice to be able to be able to pick up or return a vehicle outside of office hours, the app required so many photos and so much time that it felt less like a convenience and more like I was working for U-Haul for free.

Worse Uhaul experience ever. I will not be returning to use Uhaul again. And this is after I have been a customer multiple times. I picked up the reserved truck, and was quoted $69. it was clean, but as soon as I drove it, it was making a whining noise and the engine did not shift gears well. Clearly it needed to be serviced. I paid for 24 hours, but returned it 9 hours later that night. I parked and went to drop the key, but it said I had to login to their mobile site to return it. I don’t understand this... even as a millennial, not everyone has a smart phone. So what, if I didn’t have mine, I couldn’t have returned the truck? Ridiculous. I went through the steps to return the truck, and it informed me that I was going to be charged for $110 because I didn’t fill the gas (I used less than a quarter tank), okay fine. It seemed awfully expensive for a quarter tank, but I agreed. The next morning when I check my bank, I had the initial hold on my account for $69, then the charge for $110, and then an ADDITIONAL charge for $40. I called and talked to customer service, who informed me that the original hold would drop off. Initially they said there was no $40 charge, until I insisted that I was looking at my account and there was indeed a $40 charge. Then she said “let me look at something quick.” She came back and said that charge would drop off too. I asked her why I had been charged at all, and she said that the 69+40=100. Which still doesn’t make sense because I was charged for all three charges, not just the 110. She denied having taken the $40 off, and that they had double charged me (which is clearly what happened). She didn’t apologize, and instead chose to argue with me, saying it was standard procedure. Standard procedure is to charge TWICE for the same service? I don’t think so. I told her I would never use Uhaul again and hung up. Highly recommend not using this location, or Uhaul at all. Given that this is how they treat customers. As of today (two days later) the $40 still hasn’t fallen off or been credited back to my account. What a scam.

U-haul has been the most stressful part of my moving experience. After booking two weeks in advance, we get a call less than 24 hours before pickup with a different time, location, and truck than we had reserved. Why even make a reservation at that point? They also had a completely random number and email on file for me and couldn't tell me where those came from. Then when it came time to drop off, we show up at the drop off location and are told that we can't drop anything there. When we went to the second location that the U-haul employee directed us to, they said they also couldn't take our equipment back and had no idea why anyone would have told us that. Thankfully the manager at this drop off location took pity on us and said he would find some room for our equipment there. I am thankful for the in person employees that were helpful to us DESPITE how disorganized and mismanaged the company is. I will never use U-haul again.

Need more associates to handle customers. Sometimes people call in and don't show up for work...leaving only one person to serve several customers. This contributes to unhappy customers as we witnessed first hand when were there to pick up our truck. Also, the fuel efficiency sticker is a misrepresentation...7.5 mpg is hardly efficient. You should remove that advertisement. Thank you.

Disappointed that I was not able to return it in Havana. I have a U-Haul location about 1 mile from my house, but they said that the location that could receive this large a truck was in Tallahassee. I know that they receive big trucks in Havana. So I had to drive 15 miles to return which was a major inconvenience after a long day moving my in-laws to Havana. Very disappointing.

U-haul service of providing and transporting of containers were fine. The only negative thing was that closures on a couple of containers were misaligned and was very difficult to close them. I had very positive and pleasant experience with a lady-driver who was delivering and picking up containers in Tallahassee. She was professional and reliable. However, I have submitted a complain to the owner, Tamara Cody, of "Do it Right Movers" in Tallahassee. Moving helpers broke my lamp and damaged my kitchen table. My furniture has now many scratches including kitchen table (having major scratches, shallow and deep) because helpers did not cover items with blankets. Thus, I would not recommend this company.

There was some confusion about when the trailer I rented was due for return. I tried to reserve online, but the return time was not listed so I went in to talk to someone. They ended up giving me the wrong info (saying anytime on the return date, not a specific time as it turned out to be) I talked to the man who checked me out and he also seemed to think it would be no big deal. When it looked like I would be later than anticipated, I tried calling the destination but was routed to corporate help and was told their would be a fee. There wasn't but we did not know that at the time.
