They actually saved us from a uhual scheduling error. U haul had scheduled a storage facility for us. When we arrived at the other facility they said they dont store . They facility gave us a unit without being reserved. It saved us alot of frustration.

Need to have more equipment for customers to use & quipment for each truck because even though I chose to rent the extra equipment I never received it. Also, charging people extra for the equipment is a kinda shitty business move.

The staff were excellent. But the reason for an average score is that the gentleman that loaded my vehicle on the auto transport did not secure the straps properly and put the front safety chains on my steering linkage instead of the frame of the vehicle which would have done nothing in the event of a wreck or strap failure. Also, we had a trailer tire expolde while driving on I-10. Thankfully no one was hurt and there was no permanent damage to the vehicle. However there was pieces of the tire splattered on the side of my whiteXterra. I will file a claim if they cant be buffed out. The road service was crew was fantastic and got us back on the road in about two hours. After that mishap, I bought a tire pressure gauge and found one tire @ 40 psi the other three had 60 psi. I dont think that the auto transport was properly serviced and check before sending us on a 2 900 mile move. I cheked all of the trailer tires at every fill up and never had to add air again. This further supports my claim that thet the trailer did not have a safety inspection prior to our departure and I am guessing that the truck didnt either.

The van had a tire sensor light on when I picked it up. All the tires looked fine. I wasn't aware that I needed to put gas in, since I was paying mileage as well. That was very disappointing.

Staffing. Even though there was short staff on site, the gentleman that was outside with equipment was great! He was alone and helping several customers!!! I hope he does not get stuck like that in the future. He had great positive vibes for customer service, for being over worked!!"

They double charged my card for almost $1400 and luckily I was able to get my bank to reverse 1 of the charges (without no help from the staff almost) to be able to make my move.... Then I return the equipment with more has in it than when picked up in Katy, Texas and they charged me for $60 of fuel.... Still haven't seen my refund for it... I'm looking into legal action.

Customer service was horrible , when I arrived to pick up my keys the first thing I was told was “oh we don't have your truck” to then realized the did have it, my keys were thrown at me in the counter , and on top of that they did not had any dollies available even tho I reserved some, I ended up having to buy my own at Home Depot so I could move. Horrible experience, I lost two hours of rental back and forth that ended up on my extending the rental & paying more , if that's how y'all make money. You're never getting my money again.

There was a hole in storage unit #126, van body style at the Kernel Circle location in Fort Myers. Went to move out the other day and a bunch of my items were wet. Not happy.

Wow, highly disappointed in my Uhaul experience. With the exception of a timely arrived UBox, the rest of the experience was terrible. On the load end, the location I reserved the Ubox and pickup truck with was under renovation and we were not notified that the location for pickup had changed until we arrived. The new location was over 20 minutes away. Considering I had moved scheduled, this change resulted in my movers having to be changed which resulted in them moving my load time to a much later time which resulted in me almost not making it to pick up my kids from school. On the unload side, specifically the location listed here, I waited over two hours to get a pickup truck and my ubox. I arrived at 7:30 AM, as stated on my reservation. The pickup truck I had requested was assigned to me by the location but they had lost the keys to that truck. I had to wait over 30 minutes while they attempted to find the keys and only after I asked, they 'reassigned' me a truck. I was then told that my Ubox was not picked from the warehouse and it would be about 20 minutes while they picked it and hooked it up to a trailer. After 30 minutes, I checked at the warehouse and was told they had not even started getting it and needed another 30 minutes. This again resulted in me having to change my movers start time. The communication from this location was so poor. They gave us no instructions. A NON uhaul individual was more helpful than the employees at this location. Finally after 2 hours and 15 minutes, I had the Ubox. At return, we took the ubox to the location and was told the ubox had to be checked in at the warehouse. We drove to the warehouse where we were told the ubox had to be checked in at the location. Again, the lack of communication was infuriating. After about 10 minutes of the warehouse and location radio'ing they finally offloaded the ubox. At the location, I requested to talk to a manager about my experience. A child, literally looked like she was 15-16, was the 'assistant store manager' and actually attempted to say that there was no cause for frustration because even though the events described above happened, they 'still got us a truck'. Needless to say, I have already told my extensive network of individuals of the horrible experience I had at this location and do not intend to use this service again.

Outstanding job by Brad on a Tesla Model 3 hitch install that others in the area were reluctant to tackle. U-Haul orders the precise hitch needed for your model of Tesla. I highly recommend asking for him, as he is a total pro.

The first time I called for a trailer I was told they had nothing. I called your regional number and was told this location indeed had two trailers, so I called again and was told they had nothing, until I physically showed up and told them regional said they did. I then got my trailer.

Ordered furniture pads. Weren't in the van. No one answered the phones. Cockroaches in the van. Disgusting! After being told furniture pad charge was removed, was still charged. Another hour on the phone to get it resolved. Gas gauge didn't work properly and after putting in gas and gauge wasn't moving, I left the gas station. A few miles down the road, gas gauge shot up to way over what I needed to put in. This wasn't even the location I rented from. I was pushed to this location. General manager was supposed to call me. Never did. Terrible experience. Booked my long distance move with another truck rental company.

This company needs to figure out how to answer the phone in a timely manner. Each time I called I was on hold for at least 25-30 minutes and still did not receive the help I was requesting. You can never speak with the staff at the store you are trying to contact. My U-box was supposed to be ready to unload. On 05/31/2022 when I arrived and it was not. No one at the fort Myers location knew what was going on. Autum was most helpful though. This entire experience has been unacceptable to me and I will never recommend this company to anyone ever. The CEO of U-Haul needs to do an “Undercover Boss” experiment just to see how poorly this entire company is running on a day to day basis. If the general manager has the day off then there should be a next in command to step up and do the job. Zola at the fort Myers location was not at work on 5/31/2022 and did not respond to my situation until I went over her head to her boss, then she answered her phone. All you need to do is look at the notes from my calls 05/31/2022 to get the entire story. It was like being in a 3 ring circus. For all of the distress, time and frustration I endured I am requesting a refund of at least my last months storage rent if not more. The Better Business Bureau will be contacted regarding the U-Hal experience. I am not alone, I witnessed frustration and long waits for help in the Fort Myers location.

Truck was rented for a 1400 mile move. Truck was 3 quarts low on oil when i checked before leaving.the truck had major suspension problems pulled sp hard to the right that you couldnt let go of the steering wheel with out veering immediatley to the right. The transmission shifted irradically and i was suprised i made it home. The truck obviously was not inspected prior to me picking it up. The truck is unsafe and shouldnt be on the road.

Both women that I worked with the delivering and pickup of my box were excellent plus their customer service were great. The cube arrived at my homes at the designated times. I noticed after my box was delivered to my final destination, someone had tried to enter my box. The lock had been damaged and this was not due to shipping. Part of the lock is bent and actually had been hit with something and a second lock it looks as if it tried to be cut. I know there is one item missing for sure but am not aware, as of yet, if anything else is missing. Plus there was a piece of green stretch wrap on the area where the locks are on the cube. I don't know what this was for. I'm quite concerned where my cube sat before and after transport. It appears as though it wasn't the best secured area. I would definitely think twice about going with Uhaul again. I'm very upset with the lack of security and feel lucky that my stuff had not been stolen completely. I feel this green stretch wrap that was tied to the lock meant something to Uhaul but nothing was conveyed to me. Think twice, due to security issues.

1. Very difficult to access the space because of layout and rental vehicles/gate. 2. I was assigned 2 different spaces that were already occupied. The computer information did not match the reality of availability. Both times I unloaded and moved many boxes to both occupied spaces, and had to move/reload. 3. The whole experience was bad so I canceled my reservation and asked to be refunded all money and did not rent the space. You really need to have phones in the units to communicate with the staff up front. It was very difficult to exit the gates and navigate around the congested footprint of the facility every time the units were not available. The whole experience was beyond frustrating .

My parents moved into the storage facility today, Jan 11th after having reserved the facility online. When they arrived, they were greeted by the rudest and most condescending agent ever. She lied that our reservation was not there, so we had to show proof. She insulted my mother and called her names. She then acted like she could not find any other details of our reservation and forced us to produce written proof. She failed to explain anything about how to find our storage facility and was rude again when asked. The moving help ultimately had to guide my parents around the facility and help my parents find the unit. I am extremely disappointed in this customer service and she truly seemed to hate helping customers. Had I not already made these reservations and requested moving help, I would have told my parents to leave immediately. I question that my belongings are safe with staff like her in charge. I wish my mom had caught her name, but she was working on January 11th at 7am. I have never left a bad review but her behavior needs to be addressed.

I showed up, presented my reservation and was told that there was truck. Employee did not offer any alternative, nor did she tell me that she would speak with her manager. I went outside and there were many trucks sitting there. Only after I saw and the trucks and became angry did the so-called owner tell me he had a truck. Then I had to wait 20 minutes for the truck. Will NEVER rent from this location again and will tell everyone not to trust a so-called reservation, because it is meaningless.

The facility on kernel was great. But this was after a fiasco with the location on Cleveland Ave. I pre reserved a unit over a month ago and the facility gave that unit to someone else, directed me to a new location and only unit was more $ than my original reservation.

Ants have envaded my storage space i brought it to uhaul attention twice and nothing was dome about it. Also i move out of my storage unit and had to move all my things back to ohio from Florida and they took $200 from me and refused to give it back even tho i was moved out. Which also put me in a bad place in traveling. I was stuck in georgia for like 3 hours. They gave me a flawed truck i had to fix the wipers several times on the truck til eventually it couldnt be fixed anymore and i had to pay to replace it. Which also took from my gas money. On top of all of this the gas tank was not on full at time of pick up and the owner/manager of the location was very rude and very non understanding.

Had an oil leak from another unit next to me. No one did the thing after a month of complaints about it. Still oil on the floor after I cleared my unit out. Made me buy one of their specific locks instead of my lock because it's "more secure". Well it's my insurance covering my items so Uhaul isn't responsible for the stuff it it gets stolen so they shouldn't dictate which lock I can and can't use.

We were checked in by Zola. She was very quick and super friendly. Earlier in the morning (1 hour earlier) I spoke to CS about changing unit sizes. CS told me that everything was changed and we were good to go. They verbally confirmed that the old unit was no-longer on my account and the new unit size was reserved since they only had one left at this location. Zola discovered that CS reserved the new unit size but also activated my other unit. Zola was able to quickly fix the CS error and made moving in easy. The location is super packed with equipment but it is obvious they work hard at keeping the area clear for loading, unloading and maneuvering your vehicle and equipment in and out of the location.

I was your customer for many years. When I first rented two units you had a couple: Manager and his wife who were wonderful and great people and very helpful, same as a very nice Cuban Lady. Then you remodeled and changed management, this time the manager, Jeff was OK, but the guy at the counter, a tall white guy had a very bad atitude, and treated me as if he was above, I don't know his name but most of the people that was at the Colonial Blvd facility under Jeff had that kind of attitude, and also look horrible (white trashy). Then you changed again for a new manager, I was told Jeff was moved to a brand new facility, I hope he has better hiring practice. Under this present management, the air conditioning is kept too high, it must be around mid 80s, very hot and I had lots of clothing and home lingerie there and in rainy season can get mildew. Thus I decided to move it to a different company which is even a little cheaper and have great maintenance. During my moving, I had to rent several times trucks, because I had lot of stuff and wanted to organize it neatly at the new place. Upon returning one of the trucks, stressed & tired as I was, I was received by a black guy outside to receive the truck under a tent, it was a very large truck and I was afraid of hitting one of the tents legs, I was only 6-7 feet from it and I told him my concern. He answered so nastily that the young man who was my moving helper said to me: "that guy sounded like he wanted to eat you alive, like an angry dog barking at you". So I did my best and brought the truck under the tent, and then went to get my own car to load a few things that I had in the truck & wanted to take home, yet...I was so distressed that upon making a turn on the street corner I went over the curb and the side of my right hand side of the car was hit and fell out broken irreparairably. I showed the manager later & he said he couldn't do anything about it because it was just outside of your premises, this accident is going to cost me approx. $500 or more, out of my own pocket because I cannot afford my insurance to go higer. ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THAT BLACK GUY RECEIVING THE TRUCK COULD HAVE HAD THE COURTESY OF DRIVING THE CAR A FEW FEET UNDER THE TENT, OUT OF COURTESY FOR A LADY IN DISTRESS, AND AN OLD CUSTOMER, OR BE POLITE AND NICE TALKING SO HE WOULD NOT GET ME SO DISTRESSED. Also, at the counters there is only person assisting customers and prospect customers and sometimes not even one, we have to wait until that person comes from outside, and waste our precious time, specially when we are paying helpers per hour and also renting the truck per hours. Oh, and again, after returning the last truck a white man around (25-32 years of age) in charge of receiving the trucks, had exactly the same attitude yelling/barking at me as I was there waiting to bring the car towards the tent. and to put the icing on the cake: the shock I got when I rented the last time a truck is that I thought I had paid for a whole day (24 hours) and the guy told me it was only for 6 hours, because he had it reserved after those 6 hrs. for someone else, and I had already lost an hour waiting to be assisted and done the paperwork! So you make 2 days truck rental pay out of one truck in 24 hrs? !!! That is not proper and it should be reported to BBB. Which I might do if I do not get a retribution from you. For all the reasons above, I will not recommend your service to any of my connections. My recommendation is that you scan well the people you hire, have enough employees to cover the services you offer, I see the girls at the counter do not last long because is too much work for one person to handle, and the guys are very nasty and do not present themselves with a professional look for the job they perform. Like I said above: the managers are ok, and except for 2 clean cut young boys, one Latin and one American, the rest are frankly gross! I complained to the manager
