I had scheduled a reservation at 9am on Tuesday. I had scheduled my Movers at 10 am, through Uhaul as well. They did not have a truck ready for me. I waited 3 hours to get a truck that was too big. The check engine light was on and the Air Conditioning was not functioning. On top of being 3 hours late and paying extra for the movers due to the delay. They asked me to deliver a trailer for them as well, using a truck with no a/c and check engine light on. They printed out my forms for the drop off location which was supposed to be a Compass Storage facility. I was never informed of the change to the drop off destination and suspect I will be charged for being late. Overall, the experience was poor and I don't know if I will ever use Uhaul again due to how poor the entire experience was.

This is my second time doing a one way rental. The experience is frustrating, get little help from the phone lines, and creates a lot of anxiety for the client. My equipment wasn't given to me where I asked for. They sent me 2 hours away from me. Then they moved it 2 days. And when I went to the place to check it out, they said it was still not confirmed. I finally managed to reserve it, thanks to an amazing girl at the front desk at the 16901 N Cleveland Avenue store. She managed to reserve exactly what I wanted, and confirm it. I don't understand how this keeps happening and nothing is done to solve it. I had to lose work days, reschedule days off, and ended up running around town and spending hours in the phone to try to get this fix.

Reserved a uhaul 2 months in advance. called 3 days prior to be sure I would have a truck on my move day. Get to the store to find out they have 1 truck (same exact size I reserved) left but won't let me have it because it's “only an out of town truck”. I was told there were 0 trucks in southwest Florida (even though there was an entire lot full). I was told I would need to try again another day or drive to tampa to get a truck (this is fort Myers location). I 1 000 % will never use uhaul ever again.

Vehicle was not clean. Vehicle was not gassed up. I made two reservations and both vehicles were unavailable, given to other customers. Staff was largely unhelpful. I was told this vehicle had half a tank of gas but it was really 3/4 and then I was charged $50. Will not be renting from U-Haul ever again.

A reservation made for a storage unit equals maybe a unit will be ready for you, or not, more likely not. Then you have to call around to locations to find a unit, but after 3 rings the call gets transferred to the national customer service. Then they tell you the location has an open unit. Then you go to location and there is no open units. Then you find a unit at a location but the website the Uhaul employee uses daily is not working.

When customer empties container prior to start of next term and repeatedly tells employees that it is empty and no further rental charges , do not charge their Cc and make the customer call up to dispute validity of charge and call credit card company to get credit. Iilegal business practice and this manager needs to be accountable for his employees who are not taking care of the customers. Total chaos and monkey business among the employees!!! Very little professionalism or pride in what they are suppose to be doing!!!

There are so many companies that are difficult to deal with once covid hit. But U-Haul has been one of the few that has given us great service and value. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well their service has become! Since moving to Florida I've had to use them many times during our move because we didn't have a home when we first moved here, then had to move our posestions multiple times due to Hurricane Ian. We are constantly running behind because we have so many things to take care of after closing on our house on October 7, 2022 and U-Haul has been one of the few companies that has been easy and supportive before, durring and after Hurrican Ian. They may not always be the cheapest, but they are still a great value, consistent, flexible most times and the employees are always friendly even in high stress situations! Kudos to U-Haul and tger employees.

I was told by at pick up that the tank was just above 3/4 full and as long as I brought it back with 3/4 I was good. When I returned, the guy that checked me in said I was being charged a fuel fee because it was not at the same fuel level. I let him what I was told at pick up and he said that's not how it works and apologized for the miscommunication. Other than this aspect everything worked out great.

The 2 men who hooked up the hitch, hooked it up WRONG per Manager at Dropoff location. The chains were hitting the ground and sparks were flying as I was driving from FL to TN that I could see from my driver's side mirror. Unsafe and Deadly.

I was forced to pick up the truck at a different location. When I got there it was chaotic. The 2 woman at the counter were not very professional and didn't seem to care about the issues we were having. I was told my original location didn't have a truck for me after I confirmed it during my reservation ONLINE. I was called that morning to go to this other location almost 1 hour away. I got there waited in line for about 30 min and then I was told the truck I was supposed to get was no longer available. I was upset and said I wasn't leaving until they found me a truck. After 2 hours of waiting, I was given a larger truck. I was then told I need to pay the additional fee for the larger truck. I said NO and they then gave the truck to me for the original price.

After driving two miles, the TPMS light came on for a rear tire. I had to fill it at a gas station , but the light never came off. I informed the location of the issue, did not seem to care.

Although my reservation was confirmed for a pick up at 8:30 when I arrived the location wasn't sure if they even had a van available And it was over an hour later than my confirmed scheduled pick up time before I had my rental, causing me to miss my drywall pick up time and resulting in additional added fees. I will never use this location again.

it took over an hour to get done with transaction . the guy in the yard tried hard to get hook up and lighting didnt work on trailer, we checked all the fuses in my truck all good, after wasting all this time i asked him to get a test light and found out truck was fine it was trailer wiring. we swapped out trailers had to change paper work. guy tried hard but wasnt trained enough to be hooking up trailers

Although the lady at the desk was VERY nice and calm, the manager was very frustrated. Apparently, the call center was renting out units and providing contracts for units that were not actually available (Due to Hurricane Ian). We were not able to get the 10X10X10 unit for $149,95/mo wit the free month for renting the truck thru the same location, we were contracted for but we were able to get an available 10X12X25 unit. What was aweful about the experience is that we not only had to pay $220 for the larger unit vs getting any compensation for the inconvenience, we also were not provided the free month for renting the vehicle as promised. At the time, I had been in the office for well over an hour trying to figure it all out while my husband and our friend had started to unload in the building where we were supposed to have our unit (climate controlled). Once I paid for the larger (non-climate controlled unit), we had to load the truck back up to then drive it and re-unload it. There is some VERY expensive furniture in the unit that should be in a climate controlled unit. Ultimately, the call centers should know what units are and are NOT available at any given location to avoid these types of issues in the future.

Krista needs some training around how to treat customers . I witness her rudeness and lack of emphaty towards several customer before it was my turn. The other two young ladies had no clue what they were doing so they would ask krista questions and she is just so rude , I would never recommend anyone to go to this location. Customer service isn't just about doing transactions , this is why a kiosk would be a much pleasant experience since the kiosks aren't rude and treat everyone the same . Kiosks also don't have attitudes. She acted though as if she was doing me a favor by renting me an open trailer. With out my money renting , she would have no job! Perhaps this job has gotten the best of her and in my professional opinion, she either find a better job that suits her needs where she is happier or needs additional training around being nice to customers or maybe , just maybe finding a solution rather than making a problem bigger than it needs to be!

My pickup location was changed and then switched from “one-way” to in town rental. It cost me more time and money than expected. When assigned a new pickup location the night before beware they don't switch the rental “type”. The cab of truck was clean but the bed was dirty and I had to sweep it out. And My seven AM rental wasn't ready until after 730am

Drop off was considerably easy and quick. Last time had too many drop offs all at once which contributed to my last survey complaint. This this time was perfect. The same young man was there and was doing a great job. All the U-Haul emoyees at this facility are top notch, hard working and friendly even durring stressful situations. My last complaint was due to just too many trucks being returned all at one time. I love this U-Haul location and it's close to their self storage unit that's climate controlled. I eneded up renting a unit as well. It's clean and kept at a controll temperature. I will continue to use this U-Haul location for all my short term rental needs.

I would've given this location 5 stars and recommended them to others, but once I received my final receipt and saw the charges for fuel I know longer felt that way. The final receipt showed that the fuel gage was at 1/2 a tank. I know that was a lie. I stopped at the shell on colonial right before returning the u-haul and put 3 gallons of gas into it, this put the fuel gage well above 1/2 tank. Mind you the gas station is 2,6 miles away from the U-haul center. When I received the receipt they charged me for an extra 6 gallons of gas!! I went in total 25 miles round trip. There's no way in hell that truck needed 9 gallons of gas in total!!! They claim these are fuel efficient trucks. In my opinion they made this charge to get extra money and scam people once they return a truck and have no option but to pay these charges.

Provided excellent storage option after my home flooded in Hurricane Ian and I needed somewhere to store my remaining belongings while I found a new place to live. They offered one month free due to the storm, actually putting their money where their mouth is. Something you don't see all the time with larger companies. It was much needed and appreciated. I would definitely use again!

I make a reservation when I get there they give my reservation to someone else. They have to look for some other choice when I got to the storage it was horrible the ceiling was falling. I when back to the front desk after 3 hour of waiting for them to set me with some other one they want to give me one in the 4th floor with no elevators working at the end I just have to cancel. Three hours there for nothing really bad organisation. Non profetional staff not a clean place I will never recommend uhaul to no one 

Our unit had severe damage from the hurricane where are the roof caved in and flooded everything in my storage. The office staff was not helpful they wanted to argue that there was no water damage when it was apparent and all of the insulation was hanging down in the unit. Although my unit was paid until October 31st I had to move all of my damaged items out and find a place to dispose of them and then Salvage what I could into a different unit on October 28th. When I returned at 7:00 p.m. that night to get my last truck full of items I was locked out and could not get into the facility and I could not put a lock on my storage to protect what was left in there. I tried reaching management and they did not return my call to give me access which I did not understand since my unit was paid for through the end of the month so I should not have been locked out at the gate. When I return the following morning I discovered that someone entered my unit and stole a lot of items that were left there. The management said they are not responsible for that because they do not consider it breaking and entering since I did not put a lock on my unit. Ironic I wasn't able to get in to put a lock on my unit because I was locked out at 7:00 p.m. and the office notified me that they were not able to look up anything on the security cameras to find out who got into my unit because the cameras are not working on that part of the property. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to get what I needed. They patiently answered all my questions and I was ultimately satisfied with the outcome. The reps were doing an excellent job even before the owners came out to check on things. (They had been in the back checking each unit and the grounds.) The owners were also on point, ensuring that everyone was satisfied.

When I hit there to unload my storage area had stuff in it and was locked. It took an hour to figure out this situation and I had to pay my moving guys extra money to wait in the horrible heat to get another unit. They were out of my size but gave me one bigger and said I could have it for the smaller unit price(10x10) Now because of the hurricane I can't reach them or get my stuff. I don't know if my stuff is ruined or not. No one answers my calls)

My experience has not been the greatest at this location. Issues with my unit leaking. Had to physically move to another unit and a lot of my property was damaged. Found out a month later that even though I was moved to a new unit and given a receipt that I was not actually moved into the unit. My access for entry was deactivated. I tried working with Ashley on 9/7 who kept asking for a unit number and was not interested in trying to help solve my issue. She was more concerned with having to finish her test and online classes for U-Haul. Multiple attempts trying to reach out the manager listed on the door and never received a email or call back. After walking back and getting into my unit to show proof it belonged to me, I worked with Ms. Lawson who was very friendly and seemed interested in trying to solve my issue. She did have to get help from Adam Anderson and he approved one month free due to the error. But he also repeated that the month would be free a total of 6 times. (Making me feel as I should just not complain and be grateful). Overall this experience from the leak, damage and treatment of the unassigned unit, panic of not knowing if my property was still in my unit, having to prove it was my unit, being charged for the unit I moved out off and being treated like I was bothering Ashley because her test was more important than helping a customer, made me really loose faith in U-Haul and it's ability to treat their customers with care and respect. My hopes in providing this feedback is NOT to get anyone in "trouble", but to make your team embrace their responsibility and empower them to act as a good corporate citizen by continually improving the customer service experience. It takes one team member to step up and make changes and challenge their teammates to do better. These minimal changes may seem short term but each change can make a long lasting impact not just for customers experience but also for U-Haul sustainability!

Employee said my reservation for a 10x20 unit could not be located. The she rented me a 10x15 which ended up having a lock on it. Eight years ago when I moved here from Detroit Michigan I needed to store some of my things due to the fact I am in a apartment, my things were always safe the facility was always clean I felt no worries. But now I am having a townhouse built by Lennar builders and I will have a room enough for the things that I had stored at UHaul.

The only issue but was a big factor is the units are so close to each other we couldn't exit dines there were 5 cars right at the entrance / exit that were blocking everything! Should be enough space for trucks on both sides and a lane to pass or have different exits set up. This was VERY frustrating. The staff was wonderful!!!!!

They actually saved us from a uhual scheduling error. U haul had scheduled a storage facility for us. When we arrived at the other facility they said they dont store . They facility gave us a unit without being reserved. It saved us alot of frustration.

1. Very difficult to access the space because of layout and rental vehicles/gate. 2. I was assigned 2 different spaces that were already occupied. The computer information did not match the reality of availability. Both times I unloaded and moved many boxes to both occupied spaces, and had to move/reload. 3. The whole experience was bad so I canceled my reservation and asked to be refunded all money and did not rent the space. You really need to have phones in the units to communicate with the staff up front. It was very difficult to exit the gates and navigate around the congested footprint of the facility every time the units were not available. The whole experience was beyond frustrating .

Staff interaction was positive and helpful. Storage unit clean and accessible. Security seemed good with card key access in and out. My only complaint regards getting a human on the phone from out of state. Was not always able to use online communication to achieve desired outcome.

My parents moved into the storage facility today, Jan 11th after having reserved the facility online. When they arrived, they were greeted by the rudest and most condescending agent ever. She lied that our reservation was not there, so we had to show proof. She insulted my mother and called her names. She then acted like she could not find any other details of our reservation and forced us to produce written proof. She failed to explain anything about how to find our storage facility and was rude again when asked. The moving help ultimately had to guide my parents around the facility and help my parents find the unit. I am extremely disappointed in this customer service and she truly seemed to hate helping customers. Had I not already made these reservations and requested moving help, I would have told my parents to leave immediately. I question that my belongings are safe with staff like her in charge. I wish my mom had caught her name, but she was working on January 11th at 7am. I have never left a bad review but her behavior needs to be addressed.

I showed up, presented my reservation and was told that there was truck. Employee did not offer any alternative, nor did she tell me that she would speak with her manager. I went outside and there were many trucks sitting there. Only after I saw and the trucks and became angry did the so-called owner tell me he had a truck. Then I had to wait 20 minutes for the truck. Will NEVER rent from this location again and will tell everyone not to trust a so-called reservation, because it is meaningless.

Ants have envaded my storage space i brought it to uhaul attention twice and nothing was dome about it. Also i move out of my storage unit and had to move all my things back to ohio from Florida and they took $200 from me and refused to give it back even tho i was moved out. Which also put me in a bad place in traveling. I was stuck in georgia for like 3 hours. They gave me a flawed truck i had to fix the wipers several times on the truck til eventually it couldnt be fixed anymore and i had to pay to replace it. Which also took from my gas money. On top of all of this the gas tank was not on full at time of pick up and the owner/manager of the location was very rude and very non understanding.

Had an oil leak from another unit next to me. No one did the thing after a month of complaints about it. Still oil on the floor after I cleared my unit out. Made me buy one of their specific locks instead of my lock because it's "more secure". Well it's my insurance covering my items so Uhaul isn't responsible for the stuff it it gets stolen so they shouldn't dictate which lock I can and can't use.
