1. Fix the electronics on the west rear doors. They have never once opened for me correctly, though I pay for 24 hour access. 2. Instruct staff they are not to lock the bay doors at 4:45, making unloading on time impossible. I had to pay for an additional truck rental day. 3. Managers need management training. This is the most poorly run business I have ever patronized.

Made reservation for particular size storage unit. Come to find out on day of reservation that there were no storage units with the size i requested. Would have been so helpful to know upfront what atorage units were available.

Pick up location personnel were extremely patient in explaining the various available options, connecting the unit and being somewhat technically challenged gladly assisted with the mobile check out process to help get us on the road.

I'm planning to submit a formal complaint to your corprate office. The lady who helped me (Kimberly) was kind and helpful but had to leave by the constant verbal abuse by another employee, Jermica. She told us they had no trucks and we should've gotten a call telling is that. She was rude and said “I hate customers who…” We were shocked and when we asked her what she said she replied with “you heard wrong” Argued in front of the whole store when challenged by our representative that we did have our reservation. She said “I guess it's your lucky day” rudely to us. At that point she called us RACIST. Kimberly was so distraught that she had to leave and Eli completed the reservation for us. Kimberly asked if she could speak to her and she said NO. The other lady next to Jermica sat there and laughed. She called us RACIST again with nothing said that would ever indicate racism. She then told another customer that our truck was for “trailer trash” meant to insult Kimberly and us. We were so embarrassed in front of the store and could even believe this was happening. Your establishment is an embarrassment to U-Haul and the values it hold. Your employee is an embarrassment to your company, and worse yet, all people who are valid victims of racism. We never said or did anything whatsoever to indicate any racism. Eli heard it, Kimberly heard it and the other employee heard it as well as all the customers in the store. If anything Jermica is racist and now racism is condoned by U-Haul with her employment. I will escalate this up to as high as possible to U-Haul corprate. Absolutely horrible….please call me.

We had paid for the month of September and moved out on 9/20. When my son asked about a refund for the remainder of the days in September, none of the staff were able to answer the question and just stated, "well, it's only 10 days". I think I should be refunded not matter how many days left. We were told when we moved in that if we left before the next payment we would be refunded. I would like to receive my prorated refund.

The staff at Gandy was very helpful from my first visit to set up my storage on my move from Atlanta. The manager was also exceptional and it was reflected in her staff. The facility was kept clean and I never had any issues when I went to my storage. I would always use this location.

Vehicle was on empty even though they said it had a quarter of a tank. When I returned vehicle the air was blowing hot air and making a very scary sound. Also my bill came in more than originally quoted & I drove less miles???

Kimberly and her supervisor (Courtney?) had their act together. They were helpful, professional, courteous and friendly. They helped me figure out what I needed. As well as made sure I knew how to access the building and my unit. They even checked in on move-in day to be sure that I had everything that I needed. When I called the general U-Haul number, I was told that they didn't have any vacancies. Which was weird. Because, there was space to be rented.

You people are a joke now and I can promise you I will never use your services again. Your lazy bad attitude employees are worthless, you gave me a truck that was blocked between 2 other trucks and when I brought it to her attention, I stead of moving one truck to get my truck she just name bam bam into the other trucks to get mine out. Seriously? That is the level of expertise you give your customers? Then treat me like I should've done that I nstead of her having to get off her fat behind to do it? You people are a laughingstock now. And a rip off too but I guess you have to make up for loss of revenue from disappointed customers. And you didn't have the furniture dolly I reserved and tried to charge me for it anyways. I can promise you I won't be back again

Cruise control on your Vans are sorely needed especially on Interstate travel. The angle of the gas pedals put your foot in an odd angle that promotes leg cramping resulting in more frequent rest stops.

When I arrived the staff were talking to eachother in a van for 10 minutes before even acknowledging me. Yes they saw me pull in literally right behind the van. The kid looked at me and didn't even say a word and gestured for me to give him the keys. Very rude, unfriendly interaction.

Access hours are nice but it would be nice if they were not just up until 10:00 but 24 hours as far as being able to get to my storage unit around the clock

The staff is professional and really works on accommodating your needs. They really help me through a rough time. I simply do not know what I would do without their help. I have been using U-Haul since the early nineties the same location and they always come out for me and on top.

Uhaul is the worst company to ever exist. During my move, they did not provide the equipment I paid for when I picked up the truck, they "gave away" my storage units without informing me so when I arrived with my truck filled with my things there was no where to put them and "it is uhaul right to not guarantee anything you reserve". I then had to drive two hours north to put half my things in a friends garage while the storage location cleaned out one storage unit for my valuables. That unit was filled for six weeks and when I went to gather my things to move into my house there had been a leak in the unit and it covered all my things with dirty water, damaging electronics and a mattress. They do not provide insurance for their units. This is all from one move. Uhaul is the worst company that exists and if you can find another moving company, even if it costs more it will save you in the long run.

Inside the cockpit of the vehicle was gross. We had to wipe everything down and remove trash. Also, I unfortunately left my surpass in the truck. I tried calling the branch to let them know but no one would pick up. By the time I got back to the branch, the truck was gone. They called the renter to let them know but they ended up stealing the surpass instead of returning it. My husband and I also sat at the branch for over an hour the following day waiting for the truck to be returned only to find out that the truck was already there but as the keys hadn't been left in the drop box, no one noticed. I decided to walk the lot and compared my rental paperwork with the truck and license plate numbers to discover the truck was there. No surpass though. As I mentioned, they stole it.

Couldn't get a receipt. Stood in line over a half hour while workers just stood around talking and only one person helping customers. And the.n charged me a cleaning fee without my approval and the truck was returned cleaned even tho it was fill of roaches when I picked it up and had to bomb and deep clean it prior to using it

The store itself is convenient and has everything I needed for moving. On the day of my move, I arrived at the time my reservation was set for, and wasn't able to actually meet with someone for over half an hour despite only have 2-3 people ahead of me. I had movers scheduled to be at my place at a certain time, and this was set back because of the long wait time at this location - resulting in me having to pay them extra. The truck I initially reserved was not available (I was upgraded to another truck without an cost increase, this I was appreciative of), but the truck had barely any gas. Overall a frustrating experience, but the lady I did i initially interact with was very accommodating and apologetic. Definitely need more staff on hand.

We were charged $48 dollars for 4 gallons of gas. It was discussed at the initial transition when getting the keys that if the tank was below 1/4th, each gallon would be $5,25 but there was no description or comment on a $30 dollar fee to fill up 4 gallons of gas. Otherwise we would have stopped and filled up. It felt manipulative and dishonest. Shocking that 4 gallons cost us almost what we paid to rent the truck.

Only good, was the it's easy take a rent with the truck, and They're fast to give us the truck. But not allow add any one else to drive on a contract, and don't allow leave the truck in other location. The truck was dirty inside and smell bad.

Not providing a lock for the truck is a bit ridiculous. The representative didn't recommend buying one either. So it wasn't until I drove away and started packing that I realized I needed a lock. For the money I spent with you guys, a lock should be provided with the truck!

There was 16 inch crack across top passenger side of windshield when we picked up rental. As it was the only truck available we took it. Hopefully will be repaired before given to another customer. Staff was efficient and helpful. Maintenance of vehicle did not meet expectations.

This new customer do everything made this a really bad experience for me in moving day I have enough stress now I'm looking at pictures to verify the condition of a vehicle that you guys have cleaned out and looked at already and checking in online even though I'm at the counter in your store I have to do everything through my phone taking pics of a license uploading photos then I get a Truck and have to verify the damages on a picture that won't show the damages on a phone size picture all to get in and not have working air conditioning this was a terrible experience I'll be looking at Home Depot or budget next time I need a truck because the stress of putting everything on the customer wasn't worth it this is a terrible idea to implement these policies

Equipment beat up but operational. 15 ft truck pass side mirror would not stay in plac-dangerous created blind "spot" on entire side. Still trying to recover $61 fee due to check in person not able to read fuel gauge! Pics are same but literally did not know how to read 1/4 vs empty "E" on gauge!

Hook up assist was amateurish. The tow dolly strap hook up that I paid for and they they did torqued the wheels and became ineffective halfway through the trip. It damaged the tow dolly signal wires and my car.

Place is perfect people at the phone not trained and with wrong information. I had to re give all my info at the desk although I did I it by phone . Reservations at the phone was a waste of time. At the facility the person was polite but incapable in-fact after all the documents I gave her my name is still wrong

Employee initially turned me away on pickup day. Automatically assumed the vehicle I was using to tow would not be acceptable. I came in the previous day in person to validate it when I made the reservation. Employee only verified after my explanation that the previous employee validated it. They finally decided to check it against the system. Had I not pushed back I could of wasted my time and be without a rental. Recommend employees know for sure what's acceptable for towing and verify it in the system before turning someone away. Other than that the experience was good after that.

Did not get the truck size I reserved and did not find out until the night before my move when I had movers scheduled and paid for. Ran extra miles. Would love a discount refunded back to me for at least 30 miles since I had to do 2 trips

The staff were super helpful and made the handover easy. The outside areas had lots of litter from drop offs. The confusing bit is the sign says stay with your vehicle and a staff member will be there to take the trailer or vehicle off you. I sat there for 10 mins! Then went inside to find a staff member. So a bit confusing. Would I rent from you again- yep

Only one person was working and she was working hard. However, there was a long wait. Also, when I signed up for the unit, it wasn't disclosed that I had a to purchase insurance and use a specific lock. The cost of the unit is expensive and I had to use steps to haul everything up to the unit (no elevator).

Very poor service , rude and demanding. I wound never recommend anyone to you guys ever! While staff needs to be replaced. Place is disgusting!!!

Since the planning of my move from Miami to Tampa U-Haul has been consistently reliable and supportive! I've maintained a unit for 4 years. Easy access and always very clean and safe. Kimberly was so helpful on the phone and in person when I needed to arrange for a second unit. When I went to sign the documents the following day she and the other lady, I'm sorry I didn't get her name, were absolutely lovely. Great staff!!

U-Haul on West Gandy Tampa, Florida was awesome. The staff was very respectful, friendly, and helpful. Kimberly and Courtney are leading their employees in the right way. Keep them in place and give them a raise. Great experience with U-Haul!

Both truck and storage unit were changed more than once. Got to the storage unit at 5:15 and it was closed. Next day returned and was told no units were available. Eventually they found one but it was 2,5 times more expensive than was promised. Did not offer any price reduction despite being their fault. Despite having phone numbers to call. No one could help. Said we had to go in person. In the end it worked out but not without taking half a day out of a vacation day

The woman i spoke to when the reservation was made said this facility was 24 hours. It is not. I asked for a 5×10. I recieved a 5×8×7?!. The clerk was great but there were no upgrades to be made unfortuneltly. How convenient right. I paid 100$ for the storage and the stuff is still in my truck. Just As well said I didnt have to have insurance and I do.

So efficient. We had not secured our lock properly on our storage unit and they found it. They must check everyday We rented 3 moving boxes. Everything arrived intact. Both drivers of the fork lifts in NJ and Fl were amazing. You go girls!!!!

Moving in the first day the lock was broken wasn't resolved for a few day , had to move to another storage unit. Had an issue with my unit being moved out with a late notice, when I went to inquire about it , it was confusing with billing and what happened, there was no notice on the change of not using a card for entering the building, it changed from no card to just entering unit number, no email or anything sent out,. So glad the move out was easy

Overall it was a good experience. Judith was exceptionally courteous and professional and was always there to help when it was needed. My only one issue was that they raised the storage fees way too often. Other than that, I would highly recommend this specific U Haul facility for all your storage needs.

The storage unit and location we initially reserved was sold out from underneath us. We were supposed to get a friends and family discount from the person that we know and we were told to provide his information to the person that check to see in. The individual was unwilling to apply the discount. The storage unit we were given was not fortunate to accommodate our belongings. We had to end up renting two separate units. That is not within her budget. If this is not made right by U-Haul I will be using another storage unit after the first month. I potentially have six months worth of business coming towards the storage unit. Please feel free to contact me or with someone that can help resolve the situation.

Jessica is the very best employee who works at this location.She multitasks like nobody can.I sincerely thank her for helping me with all my needs at the store, which included accessing my u boxes, renting a truck, moving into the storage.All the staff was very polite and helpful but Jessica was awesome.

Courtney has to be the best and has the most graciously friendly spirit in making sure everything I have ever done business with at the 3939 Gandy Blvd location for many years has always been heartfelt. Very clean but the staff did not give me a copy of the contract they set up auto pay they told me that they didn't know I'll come back. They don't answer your phone calls or emails so I change my U-Haul storage unit to a different location and already there's a world of difference. I would not recommend this location to anyone

I turned in my key to close my account and the lady helping me told me I would get an email. Never got the email and had to return the next day where another person followed procedures. The locker was checked, and I received paperwork of proof that my account had been closed.

very over priced units, halls are well lit but it is all but impossible to see inside your unit. Staff goes above and beyond though. eveyone i met working there was really helpful and kind. love the spot where you can leave unwanted but usable items for other folks
