Not good after hours service! I went online to uhaul.com/share upon returning my rental and followed all the steps even allowed the uhaul site to check my location this was all done while I was sitting in the rental van in the uhaul parking lot and I was charged a $20 fee because uhaul claims I didnt follow this process when I did! After I finished the online process at uhaul.com/share, I got out of the van and walked over to the drop off box for the keys and put the keys in the box. SMH fix you website to ensure it works correctly i stead of scamming customers out of there money!!!!!MARIANNE L.

Started with less than 1/4 tank of gas. By the time I reach 96st had to stop to get gas to get to the location where I was moving out. Would have like to have had a little more gas to get to 89th Street or a little further so I could have paid 4,93 for gas instead of 5,1 per gallon. I returned the truck with more than 1/2 tank full.MARY H.
All paperwork done online a week ahead. I forgot I rented pads and the clerk did not mention them so I left without the ten pads. Now U Haul wants to charge me for these pads that were never received. And in 2 weeks I will need to rent a 20 foot truck for the finishRobert V.

This was not the original location that I was to pick up the truck from. When I arrived in Manhattan the morning of pick up I was told there was not a truck available & I would have to take the subway to the Bronx to get a truck. I had arranged for movers thru uhaul that had to sit & and wait 45 mins for me to get back to my sort ent before they could start my move.Lauren W.

The facility was neat and clean but extremely hot it was 100 degrees on third floor every time I went there moving things around I almost passed out along with my 1yr old. Staff seem to not care how hot it was up there. Spending to much money for me be be unable to move with cool air. I have been using Uhaul for the past year maybe twice a month.. Must say the service I received is always good, but this past weekend's experience was a disappointment. Bad experience one day I came a half hour before closing the office closed while I was still in the building at my storage unit elevator stop working I had to call using the elevator emergency phone someone came show me out the back way I had storage I was taking out I had to drag it through the parking lot to the front entrance so that I could load it up and leave HORRIBLE experience never again!!!! While the facility is very clean and well run NYC rodents are still a problem. I only saw one during a visit, there are many visible traps around. I can honestly state that my belongings (stored for six months) were not at all effected by them. And, I checked to make sure. The facility does make sure that you are not leaving garbage or storing food or other inappropriate materials. It was very easy to get in/out with my SUV and their rental trucks. The only bad experience for me was that I could not change the date of payment this was an ordeal for me as im retired and my benefits come once a month an I was always late on payments and incurred additional fees that affected my budget needs thus policy you have should be reviewed and changed its horrible experience. Im sure as a business you want to make as much money as you can however the cost of people loosing precious memories. As I have lost after two years of paying for my unit I couldn't keep my. Payments and had to donate all of my belongings Im sure im not the only one that has lost I did try to change that date via emails or calls that was a shame did not get answer and the only solution I was given was to pay two months in advance this was a hardship for my budget as a paying customer allowances should be made for long term renters. My issue isn't with the facility or the people who manage it but with the overall business model as a whole. I reached out last year saying raising prices during a global pandemic (even if it was a scheduled increase) was predatory and someone with real power should do something about this. I said I didn't need to speak to anyone about this at my facility because no one there has any power to change prices and procedures handed down from corporate. I STILL received a phone call from my storage facilities manager which quickly devolved into him insulting me and saying "they don't set prices"; I already knew that. I was shuffled to the side and insulted by someone I almost specifically asked not to speak to. I've given your company a lot of money over the years during the most trying times in my life without complaint. Absolutely horrific experience with U-haul from start to finish. I reserved a truck and storage unit online and with the Promotion of one free month of storage. I go to pick up the truck and they tell me they have no more trucks available so they give me a fan. Okay, fine, fair enough, not a big deal. Then I go to the storage unit and while I'm at the desk, the employee refuses to honor the free month of storage with a vehicle rental. I told her that I called them earlier to confirm that they'll honor the free month and they said YES over the phone and hung up on me. I get there and she tells me that they won't honor it, nor is the promotion valid for their location. I then ask why does it say it is available on their website? Crickets.... With all my stuff in it and kids items alot had to be thrown out because of mouse/rat droppings. We use to have a second floor unit but once me moved to a ground floor unit rat/mouse droppings problem.
