I reserved a big truck then when I get there the truck wasn't available. I had to take a smaller truck took me double the time of not triple to do a 2 bedroom move. Because of that I didn't fill the tank up because they were closing the gate on me. And charged me extra. Do not recommend this place! Nightmare!

Krista (spelling might be off) was very friendly at helpful! I would highly recommend using the facility. The spaces are smaller than most assume, so I would recommend checking out the units prior to fully committing to a locker. But, I believe they are willing and able to work with you to find the right storage unit.

Krista literally saved me. I was supposed to do mobile drop off and the site was not working for me at all. Krista was walking to her car, already clocked out for the day, but thankfully she took the time to help myself and a few others check our trucks in so that we did not get fined. She is amazing, and deserves a promotion!!

Returning procedure. When I returned vehicle the attending employee explain to me that he will close out my rental. Only to be called hours later asking did I return the vehicle. Then was called again sayin they found the vehicle. I asked will I be charged erroneously extra for this. She replied no they charge for the miles used.

It would be nice to have a "direct" number to the location.The phone number that is used, is that of "customer service", not the actual retail location. I tried calling to find out the exact cross streets and was put on hold for over a half hour (30 minutes).

Good morning, as a business owner myself, customer service is very important. Due to COVID anyone who doesn't have a mask when renting a truck should be given a protective mask (no questions). Customers should never be told they cannot enter and Uhaul of all companies can't provide a paying customer with one courtesy mask. I'm done. Masks should be free or at least on a shelf that you could purchase from Uhaul. Good luck dealing with the front desk, you'll just be rudely reminded by the rude gal that you can't go in the store unless it's a real mask!!

Staff was great, very friendly and professional. Quick to serve as well. The only negative was they didn't have a second dolly that was reserved in addition to two dozen furniture covers. It was odd considering it seemed available when requested only to be told on the spot that it wasn't.

I rented a 15' truck to move locally. Everything went until I went to test the lock for the back of the truck. None of the keys worked. Instead of being able to rent the truck until late at night, I had to return the truck before 7PM when the employees leave, so that I could ensure the return of the rented dolly and furniture pads in the back of the truck. I planned to use the truck until much later, but the person who helped me at checkout mentioned that there had been several thefts after hours at this location.

Everything!!!! Customer service training Knowledge of the product and systems. Worst experience and when I called the store to ask about my refund they put me back in the hold queue for another hour. I will never use uhaul again. In fact this experience has made me want to start my own rental moving company. Just so people do not have to be subject to incompetence and attitudes of the uhaul staff. Uhaul - you have lost your way - too bad!!!

The original van that I rented indicated that it was full in the app but the tank was empty. After my son, the primary driver, drove off the lot and filled the tank with 85 $worth of gas, I made him take the van back to the store and go in to talk to a representative. They switched out the van (?) and then told him to bring the van back empty. By that afternoon, even though I had rented the van for 12 hours we were having problems with the brakes. Before we put a third load in the van we called the store to ask if it could be switched (no) and asked if we could go to another UHaul to switch it (no). Rather than risk my son's safety, we drove the van we got from this U-HAUL to the U-Haul located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, parked it there and rented a different vehicle. By the time we got finished, drove to my home to pick up my car so that I could follow my son in the original van from the Gerard Street UHAUL and drive back to Park Slope to drop the second U-Haul and pick up the original van and drive back to the Bronx, it was almost 3 am and we were exhausted. We didn't get to bed until 5 am and I didn't wake up until I received a rude call from a representative from the Bronx store asking me if I was ever returning the van. Not only will all my future business be with Budget or any other company, but I do plan on letting everyone I know that U-Haul's products are not safe and they rob your money.

I rented a trailer and the uhaul worker seemed helpful to hook up the trailer to my hitch on a 2020 raptor. He didn't latch the receiver correctly and a few miles down the road the trailer came off the ball and damaged my truck. I'm not gonna go through the hassle of making a claim BC they will claim to not be at fault anyhow. When I first called for this trailer I was quoted a much lesser price than I was actually charged.

The woman at the front desk during pick up was rude and not helpful at all!!!!! It was like I was bothering her to do her job, my interruption of being a costumer was annoying to her. The man in the back equipment area was amazing and super helpful and the only reason my I gave 2 stars!

The only thing i didnt like was i went to rent in NJ to go to NY they dont have that truck available i has to come to the bronx NY pick up the truck and come back to return and they charged me for those miles wich is not my fault they dont have any truck available in paterson NJ

Terrible customer service. Didn't honor the free month promotion when renting a truck. The manager was so mean when I spoke to him over the phone. I constantly complained that my key card never worked to which they replied "it doesn't matter".

Excellent staff. Thanks to Lilly and Francia! At 383 Grand Concourse location in the Bronx! They were amazing!!! They deserve a commendation for their customer service skills. They greet everyone with courtesy and respect. Very knowledgeable on the services UHAUL provides. Again, I can't say enough on their professionalism. They offered me the perfect storage unit and I appreciate how they insisted on helping me find the perfect unit and truck rental.

My only complaint is the price. Uhaul is way too expensive. I started out paying a little over 160,00 $ and then there was a price increase. The cost per month became 179,00 $. The price should be lowered.

Make sure to enter with a lot of tissue if you have allergies. Tis is the dirtiest most disgusting place I have ever rented from. The bathrooms on any floor are NEVER clean/cleaned, so nasty. Always stinks. Other than that the place is ok,

Absolutely horrific experience with U-haul from start to finish. I reserved a truck and storage unit online and with the Promotion of one free month of storage. I go to pick up the truck and they tell me they have no more trucks available so they give me a fan. Okay, fine, fair enough, not a big deal. Then I go to the storage unit and while I'm at the desk, the employee refuses to honor the free month of storage with a vehicle rental. I told her that I called them earlier to confirm that they'll honor the free month and they said YES over the phone and hung up on me. I get there and she tells me that they won't honor it, nor is the promotion valid for their location. I then ask why does it say it is available on their website? Crickets.... I wish i didn't cancel my reservation with Public Storage and went with them.

Le service à la clientèle était génial. Especially the manager was very kind very professional. Storage facility was clean. But was unhappy by the amout of mouse and rat droppings in my storage unit. With all my stuff in it and kids items alot had to be thrown out because of mouse/rat droppings. We use to have a second floor unit but once me moved to a ground floor unit rat/mouse droppings problem. Overall if it were not for the mouse/rat droppings U-Haul storage great company great customer service prices not too bad.

In the few years I had the rental, the fee kept being increased. Over that time the increase worked out to be about a 40 % increase in the monthly fee with no apparent change to the facility or service provided.

Unpleasant customer service 3 out of 4 times. Non-climate controlled units on the 1st floor are dark and poorly maintained, with difficult access to lofted units.

The facility is ok but that call center is horrible they give wrong information. Leave out important facts. For example you have to call certain facility to see if the have equipment for the hitch.

The 3rd floor bathroom needs cleaning everytime I go there. There's either crap in the toilet or it's clogged up with crap then at times no bathroom paper , other than that everything is great.

One box is missing with a ROUTER in it. Micky, the manager charged for 2 months knowing I am only storing it for one month. He was rude, bullying to say the least. I listened to our original record

I asked for a different unit and I was told it was available. After I load up I look at contract and my rate increase by 30$ or so. Mickey said if I don't like the price I can unload and re load.

I called the Grand Concourse Storage for a whole week and they pick up phone to answer me all they said was hold and never picked it up again and they stole my story and my private paper

The site had excellent and friendly service. My only problwmis I had to climb stairs to reach my unit. Being a senior made it a little difficult. Nut we won't talk about the monthly cost ..
