Fix your vans they're all mess up tires are uneven, engine needs oil, vehicles are real dirty. When picking up the vehicle air conditioning is on burning fuel the brakes needed to be checked, steering wheel crooked.Kenneth B.
It managed to work out in the end but I initially tried to rent one of the large vans. When I selected it prior to booking my reservation a message popped up on. The screen saying there were none available. I got a little annoyed when I pulled up to the localation and saw that there were many vans there. The representative did not explain the rates, the reason for the hold on the account. At the end of the day I did not receive a email letting me know that the amount that was on hold was gonna be taken out of my account. I will be filing a complaintDONALDM F.
I used the online Check-In service and I found it lacking information for the customer. I wasn't able to view how much gas or how many miles I reserved. I can only assume that information is available and I was unable to navigate the menu correctly. I will try again, but it was difficult not knowing such important information.Vincent F.

One of the steps to renting a truck is to view and confirm the condition of the truck. Upon returning the truck I took pictures of the condition I returned it and the man who checked my gas and mileage seem to dislike that I was taking pictures. I think that I should have the right to take pics because if they can have an accident when they park it and then tell the office that I turned it it with a damage. He went back and forth with me, but I took the pics anyway.FELIX R.

I was charged for more milage than I actually used. When I picked up the counter attendant said to write the milage down, which I did. When I returned the counter attendant asked me for a photo of the milage. I will do so going forward, but that was disappointing Also, when I dropped the vehicle off the attendant didn't bother to greet me, he just jumped in the truck and gave me notice of the milage and confirmed that the gas was adequate. The customer service inside the office was unwelcoming, lackadaisical and just rude. I had to do everything in my power to keep calm as they all sat eating lunch, just staring at me while I waited for someone to help. Unacceptable.BOBBYCOLE JR M.

My van needed servicing i.e because the light stated it. when i requested another a newer van with no problems, I was told by employee and GM that van is in rotation and that would not be possible.I needed to complete job so I took it . The only bad experience for me was that I could not change the date of payment this was an ordeal for me as im retired and my benefits come once a month an I was always late on payments and incurred additional fees that affected my budget needs thus policy you have should be reviewed and changed its horrible experience. Im sure as a business you want to make as much money as you can however the cost of people loosing precious memories. As I have lost after two years of paying for my unit I couldn't keep my. Payments and had to donate all of my belongings Im sure im not the only one that has lost I did try to change that date via emails or calls that was a shame did not get answer and the only solution I was given was to pay two months in advance this was a hardship for my budget as a paying customer allowances should be made for long term renters. You can have your employees prioritize customers over things they shouldnt be doing on the clock. I arrived 5 minutes early for a 12pm reservation and had to wait a bit because the employees were having a non-work related convo. At the same time the girl helping me was on the phone having a convo. When i finally got help, it was halted because the girl at the register had to place her lunch order, for her and her coworkers. Very unprofessional. I ended up getting out of there at 12:15 which annoyed me. If i were to bring back the uhaul 10 minutes late, i would have been charged an extra day, but i wasnt given any extra time on my reservation after i was held up by your employee. We rent uhauls and we are pressed for time to get moves done. We renters need to get in and out as quick as possible. Surely shouldn't have to wait for her to order lunchCedrick R.

The Vehicle was clean but when driven it would pull to the right and the wheel would shake. This should be checked and corrected. Please improve the customer service number. My phone unexpectedly died and I had to return the uhaul vehicle via phone die to the office was closed and it was after hours. The Location was fine. However, U haul corporate made things exceptionally difficult. They changed the pick up location on me 3 times. They also changed my pickup time by 2 hours which caused me to be late for leaving. Then when I got to the specified location, they did not have the equipment. I then had to drive an hour away to get the trailer. The 3 day rental policy is screwing with everyone. I would much rather just be told that you don't have a trailer available. People are renting for 3 days and then extending their rentals while on the road, which is backing up the whole system. Just rent things to people for as long as they need them, and tell the next people that you don't have anything available for those dates. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on if this policy isn't changed.Bennett W.

My issue isn't with the facility or the people who manage it but with the overall business model as a whole. I reached out last year saying raising prices during a global pandemic (even if it was a scheduled increase) was predatory and someone with real power should do something about this. I said I didn't need to speak to anyone about this at my facility because no one there has any power to change prices and procedures handed down from corporate. I STILL received a phone call from my storage facilities manager which quickly devolved into him insulting me and saying "they don't set prices"; I already knew that. I was shuffled to the side and insulted by someone I almost specifically asked not to speak to. I've given your company a lot of money over the years during the most trying times in my life without complaint. The spaces are smaller than most assume, so I would recommend checking out the units prior to fully committing to a locker. Absolutely horrific experience with U-haul from start to finish. I reserved a truck and storage unit online and with the Promotion of one free month of storage. I go to pick up the truck and they tell me they have no more trucks available so they give me a fan. Okay, fine, fair enough, not a big deal. Then I go to the storage unit and while I'm at the desk, the employee refuses to honor the free month of storage with a vehicle rental. I told her that I called them earlier to confirm that they'll honor the free month and they said YES over the phone and hung up on me. I get there and she tells me that they won't honor it, nor is the promotion valid for their location. I then ask why does it say it is available on their website? Crickets....
