LEON HCustomer service was beyond my expectations. However, a $19,95 purchase for a local trip ended up being $80 dollars. Not as expected for the truck I received…it felt like it needed a tune up and the light was on in the dash board. Overall great staff experience.
DEFFRIA BI struggled with the On-line pick-up process. I did not send my extra contact info to the app ahead of my pick-up. I thought I needed to do that at the time of the pick-up. So while I sent my wife's name and number, she did not get called to verify. I had to go to the clerk to have him finish the rental. That went smoothly. Perhaps better instructions on how to set up a contact person and when to do it would be helpful. Next time I will bring my passport or if it is clearly stated I will enter that info well before the pick-up date.

BROOKE LThere was a huge mixup with my storage rental & my personal information & credit card being linked to another customer. This could have been disastrous for us both if it wasn't caught b/c I would have had access to their belongings & they would have had access to my credit card. The situation was fixed, but not without alot of wasted time because I was working & had to stop to address the matter

DANIELLA WHaving equipment reserved, while the upgraded equipment was nice it was larger than we needed and there was no gas in it so we filled it up and only got $35 credit for the gas when we put $150 in it so rental cost $265

ROCHELLE APicked up my Uhaul they asked how many miles I was going. I didn't know I had to add a diffrent drop off location, I did tell them I was Moving. So I had to pay an additional 250$ fee for "Wrongful drop off location". They need to ask if we are moving or going out of the city.

Urbano DThe individual at the front desk took too long with getting me my U-Haul. Secondly, I was on the app and was given 488 after taxes and that price changed to 530 something and I got annoyed that the person did that since I was trying to save money on the uhual. Next I'm pretty pissed off that the U-Haul door kept coming loose and the pressure of the cabin would get wonky especially in high wind areas . This was a nuisance and I didn't have time for this to get fixed on my drive down.

Lusma M | Expérience généraleI was supposed to pickup the trailer in Modesto where I live. At the last hour I received a call that I had to drive to Stockton to get it which was 30 minutes in the wrong direction. It was a huge inconvenience and added unneeded stress to our move.
NATHAN MMy husband and I rented a 10ft and we firmly believe the odometer is rigged. We drive it 30mi at the MOST and it said we went 90miles! Insane!

Dana RThe facility was large and very nice. However, this was the first time I used this facility in my city. We typically rent a uhaul for our non profit every quarter or at least 4-5 times per year. I typically use a smaller location that is closer to our office. But because we were renting a larger truck, we had to use the other facility. I have always made our reservation online, and have never had any issue with payment. Our finance department would input our company credit card information online. I would always go to pick up the rental and our credit card payment is always on file. The rental always stayed in my name even though I was not always the driver. This has always been a very smooth process. This time, after making the reservation online; I received a phone call that we could have to pick up at the Tam O'Shanter location. When we arrived, they claimed they did not have our credit card on file. I had to pay out of pocket which was incredibly inconvenient as this was a $200+ charge. They then switched the entire reservation over to my co-worker's name since he was the driver. We had the rental for 24 hours so the next day, my co worker was unable to bring the rental back so I had to find a different co worker who could drive. I called UHaul to let them know that we were coming about 2 hours late as we had to find a new driver. They kept telling me that our original driver needed to be present as I was not any listed on the reservation even though I made the reservation and paid for it. They told me that if someone else dropped off the truck they may not be able to accept it unless the original driver approved it. The original driver was in a different city handling an emergency at another office location. I had to call him and wait for him to rush back from the other city just to drop it off. Very inconvenient!

Robert MVan was left on E with zero miles to go. And I was told I'd get a credit of $25 if the truck was returned at 1/4 tank. When asking if they could put anything in it to make sure I wasn't stranded she said no that's why the credit is on there.
Bree RI was charged for fuel even though I returned the truck with the same amount of fuel I received it in. I have yet to hear from the manager.
Donna SI had such a bad experience with u haul, my truck went towed with my furniture and electronics one tv was cracked and finish I will never rent U-Haul again and not recommending bad maintenance on them

Dawn KWhile the staff and facilities here are great, I have misgivings about suggesting a rental vehicle from this location. Today, I was rented a truck for a one way 400 mile trip that had a retread tire affixed in a steering position. This tire failed at freeway speed on the 99S fwy halfway into my trip nearly costing me my life. I would have said that I trusted uHaul equipment but that is no longer true. If there is someone on staff that makes decisions like these, please ask them if they would have put their loved one into such a situation. I'm sad because I've always trusted uHaul and furious that I almost lost my life moving someone else's stuff. Waiting on a narrow shoulder for help that came quickly was nerve wracking as there was very little room to stop. I was grateful they came and serviced the damage within 90 minutes. It was hot and I was severely dehydrated. Lastly, uHaul asked me to tow a car tow which we considered but am glad we said no..The day would have been Much worse.

But at the last moment received a call saying it is not free, and either I started paying immediately from May 9 (though I do not need it till May 12), or lose it. It was too late to find a alternative one so have to do whatever I was told to do.

Also most times I went over the last couple years cars were always blocking the gate due to lack of parking. Although I will say the day I emptied my locker out and closed out the facility was the cleanest I have ever seen the grounds.

The only reason why I still use U-hual self storage and truck rentals is because there are no other comparable convenient options that offer the same services. I have had so many problems with the quality off service at multiple locations the absolute worst was from the management at the Mid-city Fresno location and the manager Tish at your Lodi, CA on Cherokee Lane.
