I had an unbelievably bad experience. The contract from the desk said the truck had 3/4 of a tank but it only had a quarter tank. I was supposed to get a text to confirm the amount of gas listed. No text. I drove the truck 34 miles to pick up a Christmas tree and drop it off at my house, and returned it with around 1/8th of a tank. Your folks said I had “no proof” that the truck had less than 3/4 of a tank. When I pointed out that the truck would have to be completely messed up to go only 34 miles on 5/8ths of a tank, the woman at the desk asserted that of course the truck's mileage could be that bad. So, I got charged over $100 for gas that someone had already used, I got fed a line of obvious BS, AND I got called a liar by someone who doesn't know me from Adam. Would I recommend your facility? Oh, HELL no!

We have been renting a truck for 4-5 hrs. Once a week for the last 6weeks. On Thursday November 3rd 2022 we rented the truck and brought it back during the time frame requested. The following day I got a call saying the truck was never returned. After asking the u haul associates to go out and check, the truck was very much there. The problem is they charged me for a late return. Obviously someone had not done their job the day before when the truck was returned. I will be contesting the bill.

Well I had a reservation from October 28th at 12:00 Pm to October 29th 12:00Pm. Got there after 1:00pm I was told my reservation canceled no email, no text just canceled. New reservation I have to return truck by 7:45 Pm on Oct 28th Job still incomplete I needed more time. Who do I speak to about this. The cancellation email that was sent was after I arrived at Uhaul and at the counter.

get more help had a reservation, one girl working ,had to wait was there over a 1hr causing me to be late at my destination. charged me a fee for some insurance I didnt need. my paper work says 33 fre miles. only got credit for 30.. Also was suppose to drop off at 7 Storrs RD they wouldnt give me a reciept was very rude and told me to go somwhere else, to which I went to columbia , they wher great but only got a crdit for 30 miles andalso becaus the storrs rd place having to bring back to columbia had to put on 7 more miles. I should get a credit back for 10 miles due to this in convinence .and refunded for th charge of ins Hartford charged me let alone the wait we had to indure making us late to are destanation.

This company is a disgrace!!! The crackhead Manager on Main St lied and said I owed a balance for damaging their truck and hardly went anywhere in the truck but literally up the street. They're trying to milk money out of me. I brought their truck back in the same condition. No one did a walk through with me; instead she handed the keys to someone else and then hit me with a bill a week later. Do not rent from here

Equipment was nice and clean, and helped with my moving process very well! The customer service at this location however wasn't too helpful. My contract did not reflect the drop off location I inquired about, which caused some plan changes and resulted in me having to double my driving distance to drop the truck back off. This caused my final expenses to go up by about 50 % over what I was initially quoted

This place needs a better manager assistance, there should be no reason why I have to go to different places for a storage unit after renting on here but turned out to be occupied. I made a reservation and it granted a free month and couldn't even get that. False information at its finest. The lady was rude, on the phone while taking care a customer. Employee having little bit of access to things in order to handle a situation maybe they should make a manager is in the store when another one leaves.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, I wasn't even able to move in to my unit due to the space being already occupied by the last renters, I had to go to a different Uhaul and pay just to be able to get everything situated. The crews tried helping but have no access to anything ! Do better please.

The windows and the inside of the truck was not clean the windshield had streaks which made it hard to see the touch screen was the same way the side door holders was not clean so make sure they clean the vehicles properly COVID is still around

Pick up and return was relatively easy. It was a short notice rental. No one took the time to show me the basic operation. Interior was clean. Truck I was given would be classified as a "Rent a Reck". Due to the level of damage to the tailgate area I needed to request help to get the tailgate open. From the start I was receiving a warning regarding the rear tail light. Fuel charge was $1 per mile!

I'm still waiting for a response. We reserved at Plainville, they sent us to Hartford because our reservation wasn't available. Then we were charged more. Then they said we didn't return the equipment on time. I have talked to so many people, nobody has helped. I just want my refund and pay for the 2 days we had from the rates at Plainville!

For the second time there was an excessive charge on my lease. I rented a truck but when I went out the truck had lights on, so the attendant canceled the contract to make a new one with another truck, but on this return he ended the contract charging the rental and insurance of a truck that I didn't use. I complained but he said that was how it was normal and that he would refund but that didn't happen.

First off I had equipment reserved since April for the Statesville Site. That didn't happen so they sent me to the Monroe site. I was charged for a tow dolly. That didn't happen. I was charged over a thousand and told I was going to receive 136 in refund. Still waiting for that from not having the tow dolly. Very poor service and the truck had bird seeds all in the holder cups. It smelled like ass and pussy in that truck. Horrible

A/C blew hot air. When turned off hot air blew out of other vents. Passenger side mirror was so loose that that while driving the draft pushed it out of position to view traffic. VERY dangerous.

This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had as a customer. The dollies were out even though I reserved one. The first truck I was given was not safe to drive and the trunk was full of leaves and grass. I had to return the first truck because of the warnings and engine light flashing and constant dinging the truck was making. I was told it has a full tank of gas. But there wasn't even enough to make it to the gas station. When I asked about the engine light he was just going to change a setting to get rid of it even though the truck was revving when I was at a complete stop. It was severely understaffed at this location. Then when I went to drop the truck off they informed me that the computer system had completely crashed and we had to wait for it to be reset. I also was handed a broom when I asked them if they could clean the back of the truck out. I spent 2 hours of my day and time I had paid to reserve with the truck when I was supposed to me moving at this uhaul location. and it made our move a nightmare. I will be calling to seek reimbursement.

I had rented a truck yesterday, I had to call to request additional time to return the truck. The customer service rep took my information and noted it. I asked what the extra time would cost. She replied that it wouldn't cost anything extra. The original time to return the truck was 1:30 pm. It was returned at 2:15 pm. When I saw the receipt I was charged for another 4 hours. Be up front with customers don't tell them that we have up to 24 hours to return it.

The service at the Hartford Main Street location has been outstanding. I submit this survey to recognize Supervisor Deyedia as well as her entire team. They were all very kind and professional to me as well as other customers when entering the facility. They operate as a team. They were very helpful to me with storage information whenever I had a request. The storage site was well maintained at all times. I also want to recognize Ms. April Soto, who was also outstanding and managed the facility when I opened my account. She introduced me to Deyedia(who would later succeed her as site manager). I want to recognize her in this review as well because Ms. Soto was also a class person and shared with me that she was there temporarily to assemble a new operating team for the site. I appreciate the excellent team that she assembled. I also appreciated the great professionalism and leadership of Deyedia when she assumed operation of the site.

Some of the workers need more training in what they doing and how to properly communicate with customers and also never forget anything in their truck forgot a very expensive phone charger in one of the truck call the store couple minutes after drop the truck and they said that nothing was in the truck. Rent a storage unit and when came to the unit to put my stuff the unit was lock loose two days of work because of this inexperienced workers.

I had a storage there for years, the one I had rats ate threw my stuff, they destroyed the ceiling making the installation fall on my stuff destroying some. They also stored food in have birth also in

It has roaches and mice the place is nasty and I will never use it again it was my first and last time ..the only nice part was the employees they were super sweet and nice ..thank u

I had returned ubox on 08 Aug 2018 and all the payment was done...Inspite of that I was charged $106 and $5 for additional month storage....I called uhaul representatives four times to raise concern.

The people that take reservations didn't do what I asked them to reserve a storage bin for a bedroom & living room sets. Instead they reserved the smallest storage. I had to pay $111 more.

I had to make a quick move in 2011, secured movers from U-Haul got the storage unit!! I thought it was going to be short term but finally after 7 Years my unit is no longer mine! THANK YOU
