grant T.First, U-Haul should give the online customer the choice of paying online ahead of time, and if they don't pick it up, they pay a fee. That way, we wouldn't have to depend on staff to do the transaction. The particular woman who walked off while I was trying to pay for the trailer should not be allowed to handle U-Haul transactions.
Kimberley B.The running lights on the trailer were not working. We found out when we were pulled over by the police at 1 AM. The problem was a wire was frayed and broken - I ended up doing a roadside fix myself - or we were not allowed to proceed. Two other wires were also frayed but not yet broken. Maybe the wires on trailers should be inspected upon return?

I booked 15†truck and something went up so they upgraded the size to 20†for same amount as my original booking, however there was a miscommunication, the return time was changed and I wasn't informed. Good thing the, reservation department was very helpful. I suggest to use the online to check your booking it was very convenient.

Next rental was 6 hours later, manager told me of it came back early or truck got unstuck they would phone. Both of these things happened and they did not phone me early. I was then told I would be given a discount when I was charged. This also did not happen. Sincerely aweful rental experience.

No message responses Called main office in which they confirmed they cancelled unit Got another call this week after already cancelled stating they need payment . Informed person calling that I already cancelled with main office Totally lack of coordinated access. For this reason will not access this location again I do share though on a late evening a young man was present and was very helpful with me.

Originally I was supposed to pick up from a location on Arlington and they didn't even open. I stood there for half hour hoping they will soon show up.

Pat P.Hitch weight too heavy to lift for an elderly man on the 6 x 12 enclosed trailer. I brought a 7 foot 4x4 to use as a lever to remove trailer coupler from my hitch. Parking lot is too small and congested, took several maneuvers to back the trailer into it's parking space.
DOUGLAS S.The people at this location needs to be more polite and courteous while talking to customer's. I was late in returning the truck and got a call from Melissa 15 minutes prior to the return time and i explained that if i would have got a call little early i would have made some arrangements but she was TOO RUDE and said it is not our responsibility to call you are responsible. I understand the timelines but the message could have been delivered in a polite way. Definitely a big ZERO on customer service.I will never go back to this location. I have been renting trucks every week from the Inkster location and never had a problem.
RODERICK S.It would have been nice to have been verbally reminded of the fuel service charge. While I understand it's my responsibility to read the contract- most places go over pertinent information verbally as well to reinforce all the details. This was not done at this location.

John E.Climate control didn't seem very good. The steel footings for my east wall were rusty. I wouldn't store any furniture I cared about in that locker. Separately: I slipped and fell outside the office door when I came to do my move out, and the whole parking lot was pretty icy. Maybe throw some gravel or sand down. On the plus side, all the admin stuff was easy and the staff were good in person and on the phone.

We go back to tell her, she "fixes" it so we walk all the way over to try to enter our storage unit with our code... doesnt work. we walk all the way back again to tell her its still not working, she says she will meet us over there. Okay so now she tells us its not working cause she assigned the wrong unit so thats why the door wasnt unlocking. now i receive an email saying our rent is past due and im being charged a late fee... we dealt with her only two days ago.. paid for the storage unit that same day. So im confused as to why im being charged double rent for one month? I guess she must have messed up again.

The manager was excellent to deal with, she went above and beyond to meet needs and staff were friendly. The only thing that I was concerned with was when I moved out the lights in the storage facility were out, and it was hard to see in my storage locker, also when I went in to sign papers for my move out the facility was left unattended and staff were all outside with customers waiting inside for service. I don't think the store should have been left unattended as someone could have stolen something and customers were wondering where staff were, it was very unprofessional on their part. Otherwise, everything else was great!

Did not feel safe entering to access my unit. Garbage and burned wires (from collecting copper) were left in the parking lot along with garbage and other debris. Would not recommend this location.

Bernard C. | Expérience généraleIf I could rate this as 0 stars I definitely would. We put our sectional up for sale as the storage fees are ridiculous. The buyer could not pick up the sectional up until 4 days into a new month I told there was no refund for the remaining days of the month that we weren't using the unit. Therefore, they can rent out that unit and make almost double on it in 1 month. There was no light in that unit plus the ceiling looked like it was starting to fall in guess that's why there no light in it. I will never rent a storage unit from uhaul again and I will also not refer anyone to use uhaul. I was not shown how to check in or check out so I had no clue how to even get into the uni someone else had to show me.
larry j d. | Expérience généraleThe lot was a little crowded with u-haul vehicles, as I tried to pull away with my truck and trailer after emptying my locker, I had to get out and physically move a small u-haul utility trailer from blocking my exit. No big deal, but leaving room to enter and exit is a good idea! Otherwise very good service.

She indicated that they would have there repair personnel repair it soon. I have not been back yet to check if it was repaired.

So when we get there no lock as was stood to me would be. Took a walk around with my phone in hand checking other units as was told by associate to do. Then he told me I'd have to.go.back to store to get a lock. Thankfully the manager at Notre Dame was a.very helpful man and he took his.personal truck to go get me a lock.
