Was told to go to a different location to obtain lock and paperwork by a maintenance worker at the storage location. Arrived at location that remotely manages the storage unit location. No ONE was in the office to help customers. When the 2 girls actually came in there was no rush to assist us that had been waiting. In the middle of checking into my reservation. Girl stopped to go help another customer. Absolutely the worse customer service I have ever experienced!!!!! Was late to return U-Haul to another location due to not being informed as to address. Calling the phone number for help is a joke of recordings.

I went to the location and I could see why I wasn't getting no help on the phone. There was only 1 rep who was helping the 8 customers that were in line. On top of that the rep kept answering calls and placing them on hold and wasn't going back to speak to them and had them on hold like when I was on hold. After waiting for 30 mins another rep came in and was just slowly walking in like he didn't see there was a line and helped another client who wasn't even in line. Then the issue with your system both of the reps computers were not loading. It took longer than it should have.

MARYANN HUTTON | Expérience généraleI don't even know where to start so here's a list: -24/7 access randomly removed from my account for no reason (2019?). -Not charging my auto pay card, and locking me out of storage, causing my business to lose money -Storage manager is impossible to get ahold of. Whoever I talked to on the phone around 12-2am in October 2022, was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. They very clearly did not care about the situation, and just wanted me off the phone. I know for a fact I could've been helped - considering in a previous similar situation, a manager was able to grant me access to my unit after hours. I was denied access because U-Haul failed to charge my operational payment method. The rep told me my card had expired, I asked her to read me back the expiration date, which was in 2025. I asked her to explain that, which she couldn't. This mistake put me behind schedule a full day, making us late at a critical moment. I would tell anyone looking for a storage space that they are better off paying a homeless encampment to watch their stuff, than to trust U-Haul with their storage needs.

The cleaning lady told the manager we were drinking alcohol and that wasn't true also we left our car . I called the office and asked if there would be a problem to leave the car while I take u haul truck. She should have got her facts before talking to me like that. I don't know if I will rent a storage again after that . My daughter is dying and I went to Arizona to get her belongings. First, there was no light bulb in the unit, and since I arrived at night, I had to go to the store to buy one just so I could see what I was doing. Secondly, my unit did not have an entry way facing the street. My unit entry door was at the end of a corridor in a side door, which made getting a long couch into it challenging. If the app made it apparent about the access door to my unit was in a side corridor door, I probably would not have rented it and look for one with a door facing the street. But not having light when I arrived I fault bad maintenance/management by uHaul.

margie piazza | Expérience généraleI tried calling numerous times to confirm my reservation and never got through to an associate. I would be put on hold for prolonged periods of time. I decided to go directly to the office on my move in day. When I got there, there were two employees sitting there doing nothing. Not on the phone with other customers or doing other tasks. The two employees were not helpful at all. Initially, we were not greeted by the two male employees and we were the only customers in the office/store. Finally, the older gentleman directed me to the younger associate to assist me. It took a while for him to find my reservation. Finally, the associate told me that i was the 5th reservation and there were only 4 units available and since it must go in order of reservation, I would not be able to move in to a unit as initially reserved online. I would need to wait until an auction opens up later in the month for an available unit. This was concerning as I was expecting to move my things in and it was already the end of the day for my reservation. I left disappointed and checked online again to find the online booking and move in process. I was able to book and gain access immediately. I would suggest better training for employees and better service.

A call center maybe would finally pick up and send me right back to the main line where i would continue to hold until i would give up. I finally had to drive over an hour to go to the office in person and close my account. It was a horrible experience. You know, moving is hard enough without having to make continuous calls with no avail. When i questioned the guy at the counter after driving an hour and waiting in ling for another 20 or 30 min. All he could say was " cant you see were busy" wow!

Then they accidentally double booked the unit. I booked and paid for the unit at the office on Friday. On Saturday, when I went to move in, another person was also moving in. He had booked and paid online Saturday morning. i tried calling the office and waited on hold for 15 minutes only to learn that I was speaking to someone in a call center and not in the office for the facility. (Storage is on one site, Fullerton, while the office was in another, Placentia) I also learned that the storage system was down so they couldn't even look up my account. We had to go over to the office and the staff was very helpful. They came over to the storage facility and had to check each room before they could assign a new unit since the system was down. So, my 2 issues with the experience are: You can't call and speak with anyone at the store, you only can speak to someone at a call center and that happens after being on hold. The fact that I can't ever speak ever with anyone at the local office is not only inefficient but poor service. Having a unit double booked is extremely inefficient AND horrible service for the customer. You guys have a ways to go before I would say you provide good service. Your prices are great and the staff at the local office is friendly and helpful. Those are the 2 reasons I would possibly recommend Uhaul storage. But I would tell them about my experience and tell them to be careful and put a lock on your unit as soon as you are assigned a space.

I came in here crying because the budget rental place down the street overbooked and told me there were no more trucks even though I had a confirmation email. I was so upset, and they were unable to help me get a truck from another location. I was in tears and frustrated because today was my only day to move and I didn't plan on spending more money to go elsewhere. I came to this uhaul location, and the woman was so kind and understanding and did her best to help me find a rental in my budget. When I came back later that day, the check in process was quick and easy and the man who helped me was very friendly and eager to help. Thank you Uhaul for saving the day! Your customer service was better than expected, the trucks were kept nice and well maintained and easy to drive! Awesome stuff.

I will not rent from a uhaul again after that experience... And I will advise my friends not to do so either..
Maggie Luevanoyour prices are creeping up too high but the place and the customer service is fantastic also you need to put back the lighting inside the storage units. that was one of the selling features for me when I first came there years ago the Storage Bends are too big to not have lighting inside of them.thank you

wendy thompsonCustomer experience was horrible on my first time with Uhaul I'm a military Vet I have respect for people but it seemed I wasn't given the same back. I got charged for mileage even though I was going to return it on the the same place. Lady said insurance is mandatory, and just for moving 11 miles total I was charged $77. Money is not an issue it was just the experience was bad. I would not go back to Angela Behrendt. He said no AAA discount or Veterans discount. No unlimited in town miles. Never coming back to this location.

susie espinozaI appreciate the great communication from uhaul. I was scheduled to pick up van at Placentia location and called me the day before to pick up at Orangethorpe location instead. Check out was fast and around the block. Van work well, no problems. Clean and not dented up, no window chips or broken cab equipment. Office area was clean and presentable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will rent from Uhaul again.

GILBERTO SANTIAGOpricing is a little high or at least a discount for renting multi units.just a few short years ago you had a few fantastic dollies to use for free you replace them with an average dolly bring back the fantastic dollies for free.I have 3 average dollies I don't need to rent one.the couple who run the storage units are absolutely fantastic people.

LOVEE HILLSThis place has limited vehicles available for rent but with surrounding locations nearby that really isn't a huge concern. This place was great and Clyde was an exceptional attendant. He made my experience completely worry free and was a phenomenal help. =)
CHRISTOPHER VANACOREThe inside of the van had food grease all over the floor from a prior customer. Apparently this renter uses it for a catering business. The grease soaked into my new mattress, and now it can't be cleaned off
CHERY SMITHThere was a problem with the contract software transferring preregistration info and the attendant had to reprocess the contract. She handled the reprocessing efficiently and graciously.

CHERRI CUMBERWORTHLower your damn price per mile. 59 cents per mile? Really? That adds up when you're driving hundreds of miles. If you're anywhere that is not a big, populated city, your $5 lunch budget will quickly balloon to a 9-$12 overall cost. That's nuts.

skyler showsAs I commented on the phone to the salesperson, the vans air conditioner was very low and because of the bar between the cab and the back very little to no air made it back there. We deliver flowers so I had to have my driver make separate trips because the flowers could not stay in the back for very long. However the scheduling and pick up was very convenient and staff was easy to work with

RYAN BURKSMight want to suggest a dolly. I thought there would be one in the truck but there wasn't.....my mistake. However, since one isn't automatically provided my suggestion would be to ask the customer if one is needed. Otherwise, the staff was most courteous & helpful:-).
Pat KnudsenWhoever was supposed to open that morning did not show up, leaving us outside at 7 am in the cold but after calling twice, the Uhaul main office number called the manager and the manager came in and took care of things. He gave us a few extra hours on our rental and a $50 off coupon for next time and apologized. That was nice but hopefully it wont happen again because it put us way behind on our days schedule.
