When I go the location they told me what I rent is not working and also they told me they don't have any other truck (even if I want any size bigger than 17 foot) . I arranged my movers , loading dock , PTO, Family , other house leaving date and they told my car is broken without any previous warning e mail or message . Not even tried to help me even if it is their fault . I called customer service and lady on the phone help me out and told me they have another available trucks . Same people gave me the truck without saying anything . I really want to thank the lady on the phone that I spoke that day .

I do have concerns regarding the policy of leaving keys in the u-haul vehicle unlocked. I had to insist on putting the keys in the hands of the parking lot attendent but he did not want to accept the keys at first. I don't want to be held responsible for missing keys in a unlock u-haul vehicle that could be driven away after I leave the lot. I was told camera's are recording the lot. Thank you..

I used two U-Haul locations in the same day (van rental and emptying out my U-box storage), and the Highlandtown U-Haul location was by far the best experience of my day. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and best of all they were fast. No one wants to spend their day at U-haul. After dealing with the second U-haul dealer, I was even more impressed with the Highlandtown location.

I did self check in and the keys were not at the lock box. So glad My pick up time wasnt before store hours or I would have still had to wait. It took them about 10 min to find the key.

Our first u haul experience was fantastic!! I highly recommend this location. Our storage facility was easily accessible with no issues in the way. Robert, the assistant manager at the facility was absolutely awesome and very welcoming. He was super helpful in answering all our questions and concerns and was super friendly. Truly wonderful employee at this facility!! Highly recommend this location!!

Very disorganized check in process. The truck we were given was blocked in, so instead of moving the truck behind it, they redid my paperwork to give me another truck. Then, we noticed that the reserved dolly and pads were not in the truck and they were not offered to us. Fine. We went back in for the third time to obtain those items. Then, upon opening the cab, there were cigarette butts, trash, and everything was sticky. It smelled disgusting. By this point, the line was out the door, so we just cleaned it ourselves. That is unacceptable.

My storage unit was stolen at this location. The theft cut the haul lock and replace it with other while none of the workers notice. The theft came multiple time and empty the unit. When I notice the staff they were indifferent and unwilling to corporate. One of the worker even say it's my problem for getting it stolen and she had worked here for 9 years and this never happened before. After I notice the lock was replaced by theft they told me I can't cut the lock myself and have to wait 48 hours for them to cut it. After I called the police and insist that I need to open the storage today since it is no longer safe. They cut the lock for me after 7 hours. Even worse, when I got there they left the storage unit unlock even after they know there was theft. And when I talked to the manager, he said he cut the lock but he wasn't aware of theft, cause the staff didn't notice him. Before the theft, I was trying to get in the storage in access hour which is 5am to 10pm. The front door was broken. I called the staff they said it was broken and the alarm was off. And say the hour should be to 9pm, which is a lie. This place also doesn't have security camera everywhere. When the theft happen, they told me there isn't security camera at my storage.

For my long distance move, I purchased a container from another company. I ran out of space so I needed another. The other company could not accommodate me so I called Uhaul. Everything was perfect. They kept me informed, arrived early to our destination and brought our box early. I'm still waiting for the first container one month later. I wished I had called Uhaul first.

My truck reservation was 8AM pickup on a Sunday morning. When I arrived and tried to complete the mobile check in, I got a message informing me that my reservation was changed to 9AM. There was no prior warning and that would have set my entire move back which I planned the whole day around. Fortunately, the assistant manager (I believe his name is Robert) was there early and was able to check me in while also preparing other trucks for the day. He went out of his way to deliver excellent customer service and saved my moving plans from falling apart. Merci.

I picked up the truck it had a broken mirror on the driver's side the windshield and doors were filthy. I mentioned it to the clerk, and they told me it was nothing they could do and the only truck available. I called the 800 number and was on hold for almost 30 min. Horrible customer service and equipment!!!

I got very old truck to drive 540 miles. Side mirrors did not work properly. Parking and reverse break had to try several times to use. Used 10 Lysol sheets to clean seats, steering and cup holders. Simply dumping trucks to customers without any service or trucks, changed both my pickup and drop off locations. I don't understand why they have to change drop of location. No customer service and expensive.I never rent again with u-haul.

I reserved a 20 foot truck a few weeks ago. It broke down two days before I was scheduled to pick it up and nobody bothered to call me. I go to get it and there no truck for me because they were all reserved. Then I'm told it's not their problem. They did get me a 15 foot truck that I could use for 12 hours because it was reserved. I ended up still having to use my car to finish my move. I've rented trailers and trucks for years but I'm done with Uhaul. Very poorly ran company and I will not rent there again.

The customer's front desk was horrible. My 24/7 truck share was not working and erroring out, to schedule a call was taking around 30 minutes or more. So I decided to wait in the long queue and speak with the front desk so they can manually access my booking and give me the vehicle. They had me and the other customers wait while speaking for 1,5 hours because they did not have keys to the trucks. 1,5 hours! this threw my whole moving schedule back. If only I could have asked for a refund for the time and energy lost that day. Horrible.

I had check in On Line for a trailer pickup. Waiting 15 minutes on a line and then 20 minutes with the agent. He claimed the system was slow. Maybe so, but what was the point of an on line check in if I had to wait so long at the line and with the agent.

Not a problem with this specific location, a problem with U-Haul corporate. After jerking me around for 5 hours on the phone, they still could not provide me with a 26' truck as agreed to in my original rental agreement. they constantly changed my rental, changed it to a location across town without asking me about it, and ended up providing me with a 20' truck, several hours later than originally agreed to, and it was too small to hold all my stuff. I ended up not being able to take all my possessions with me on my move - so I will need to leave a giant pile of boxes in my friends basement and will probably have to rent another truck (not from U-Haul, that's for sure) to get the rest of my stuff. Garbage, trash, waste of time. Go with any other rental company

Location was great. My only issue is that the truck was supposed to be at the Glen Burnie location and I wasn't notified until the night before I was to pick up the truck it was at a different location. I had people waiting at the Glen Burnie location for over an hour to help me move.

Changed locations of pickup after reserved to 15 minutes further away than original location. Vehicle was not ready at time of pickup. Pick up was at 8 not ready till 915. Equipment we rent was not available at this location. We truly deserve a refund for all of the trouble we had. Movers waited for us over an hour for us to arrive.

You guys suck! I ask to have locks removed that l brought from uhaul. It took a month of me calling unable to get them. Having a reps trying and sending text to no avail. Then when I go to get my stuff the elevators are down no one inform me of it. I had rented a uhaul truck and labor, which I still had to pay. I get a bill with a late fee $40 which I wouldn't have gotten if communication was better because o would had my property 6wks ago. I don't think I should have been charged for them inconvenience me but I was.

I can't say enough good about the staff at this facility, especially the manager and the new staff member who handled the paperwork for my move in! On a 93 degrees Baltimore day when their air conditioning unit was out and also the elevator in the storage building the kindness and clear-headedness with which they handled my move in was amazing. The weather situation nearly did me in, but these troopers, professionals all the way, adjusted and adapted and kept a positive spirit and upbeat attitude every step of the way. I couldn't have done any of what they did, even when I was younger and more inclined to deal with adverse circumstances. Not only were they helpful to me, but also to the Moving Helpers moving my stuff in from the Uhaul van to the storage unit. I'm sorry I didn't take time to learn their names because I want to remember them not only as super pros, but also as people who care about their customers as human beings. Moving back to Baltimore to begin my retirement journey I will be eager to recommend this site to everybody I know needing storage space. I will learn the names of the two professionals stuck in a hellish situation themselves who went the distance to keep my experience from being unpleasant and find a way to express my appreciation. I hope Uhaul admin around here recognizes how valuable these folks are to the company!

There's are no ones for what experience. I paid for 24 hour access and found that I was the wrong storage facility I was told Canton during the reservation however I emailed a different location. Highland town . The facility didn't have the spaced that reserved for. I was running out of time. Was not able to put all my pieces in storage. I was not able to drive up to the dock, due to the places is locked after 8 pm. I left the office like 7:39 to go home to to get my things to come back to the facility. I'm was very frustrated and mad after looking into a smaller storage than I originally reserved. I had to move my things in the storage leaving on have to stiggle to get through a small door! Iaftet seeing the strlirwhe I had no time or money to reserve another place . After looking inside the storage facility I had cried . It was so upsetting to see that my things were in an old room with a big Rat Trap and very thin walls and the floor was cracked to the point it had easy access for rats to run over things. You told the office man to change out my storage due to the access to the building. And gave me a smaller one. The one assistant at the office knows how I feel about the whole situation. The manager was not there . The assistance at the office had to handle the office by himself . He had it under control. It was really busy.

Staff was the best part, helpful and nice. Facility always smelled like a mixture of dead rat and industrial cleaners. Lights were on motion sensors which I appreciated but there weren't enough of them. No light whatsoever in units. The ceiling on the unit was a mixture of large box fencing and some sort of plastic sheeting.

Horrible, couldn't access my storage unit. Tried and waited over an hour and had to release my movers earlier without completing the job. Lost revenue and time and ended up losing a days work to resolve this issue. Then i reschedule with the movers and they NEVER showed up the following morning. So I'm HIGHLY, disappointed and upset and deserve compensation for lost revenue.

No one answers phone or email. They checked me into a unit without my permission or presence two months before I had the unit reserved for 22 May 22. My credit card was charged without my permission thus essentially stealing and I intend to deny the charge. I have contacted U-Haul formally and an official letter of complaint has been filed on 7 Mar 22.

One of them was especially very patient with showing me the door code process and took extra time to walk with me to the unit. He showed me how to use the ladder and even got the lock out of the unit for me. The customer service given to me was above and beyond exceptional! Hopefully this young man, with the nice brown locks will receive a promotion for being so professional.

Not sure what's going on but moved my stuff out on may 1, 2021 got a call about 10 later stating they put a lock on my door and I would have to coming into the office and pick up a key and I will be charged accordingly which didn't make sense since I already had all my belongings out of the storage. This whole experience was just bad when I got to Maryland where I was supposed to get my original storage gave it away. I was accused of losing the U-Haul key which I had no idea what they was talkin about but once again there was a telephone call stating that they will be charged me for a uhaul key. Which I had because I was still renting the van

When I moved in I paid for the 24/7 access hours. There was no light hanging up in the back area where my storage locker was located. I could barely see what was in my storage locker during the day and couldn't see anything at night. The ceiling broke apart over my locker a month into my storage and ruined half of the items in my storage locker. I was partially replaced a couple months later but it was a patch job. Rat's got into my locker and defecated everywhere (There was nothing edible in my locker but I believe the locker next to me had something in it). The solution to all of this was somebody throwing a tarp, bucket and ladder over the top of my locker. I am absolutely disgusted with my experience at this facility. I paid for a locker that was not serviceable and the result was half of my property getting covered in rat poop, dust and ceiling debris. I emailed the manager about this (And got no response). I also confronted employees and him in person but nothing was immediately done to help me. None of the employees/the manager were rude but nothing was done to help me. Am I a customer or is uhaul just collecting my money every month for a service that I am no be rendered!!!!

Since you asked, I'll tell you. Your employees are very friendly and helpful. They are fantastic. But the unit stinks and I felt gross whenever I went in there. That may just be the way it is everywhere, but I'll never want to put my belongings in storage again. The first time I went to retrieve my things, there was a glue trap right in front of the door with a wriggling mouse stuck in the glue, which I then had to dispose of myself, and I couldn't even locate a garbage can, so I had to carry it downstairs in the elevator to the bathroom where I knew there was a garbage can. Maybe that's just the way it has to be, and I'll just never use self-storage again. But I do want you to relate to your employees that I am grateful for their assistance.

We loved the customer service part and for the most part they were accommodating and helpful but the storage facility itself was a bit old, infested with mice and I believe rats too! We had a lot of our cloth furniture bit through. Mattresses and couches were destroyed. Not to mention how unsanitary that is to have nice chewing your mattress and relieving themselves on there as well! My "like new" king mattress is now trash. Thank God I got the insurance!!!! I'm doing a claim today!

The facility hours are fine, they're open during prime hours of the day. Although, they advertise 24-hour access to your things, but in my experience even the after-hours access door locks up at 10pm; therefore, making your access code useless. Another big issue my wife and I experienced was mice/rats. It is advertised that your stuff is safe from chemical treatments that the facility has done to "maintain" their pest problem. Out of one week of going to my unit to move our belongings to our new home, three of those days in a row I saw multiple mice run from unit to unit on the third floor. Now, I'm in the United States Army, I've dealt with much worse conditions before, but if you're going to advertise you are managing your pest problems, I expect them to be managed better than what I experienced. Because of this facility, my wife and I had to disinfect every single item in our unit and throw many things away. This facility also almost ruined our $2000 bed. Again, some staff were very friendly and helpful, but the facility itself needs to be better maintained. It was a nice secure place for our belongings for the two and a half weeks it was there, but never again will I come to this place, or recommend it to anyone else. I prefer not to have more of my belongings ruined by mice/rats.
