Location indicates its address is on Pulaski but you can't enter from Pulaski. I had to drive past and find a place to turn around in order to get to the location. The att ndent was helpful but had difficulty removing one of the chains from my hitch. I had never encountered that problem before so it took about thirty minutes to drop off the trailer.Gregory L.

I went on line and made a reservation for north point rd. They accepted it and gave me confirmation. Then hours later they changed my pickup location to Merritt Blvd. so I weren't there. Which by the way is an Exxon gas station and they did not have a truck. The guy told me, come back at ten maybe it will be here??? So I drove to north point. They said they didn't have a 10 foot truck for me. I asked why would your website allow me to reserve a veh that wasn't available??they sent me to Pulaski hwy. they were nice there but it was farther from my destination and cost more time and money. I had to check in in person and re sign the contract and say no to insurance options after I did all of that online. It took us an extra 30 min vs just checking in with the phone steps as I have always done in the past with uhaul. Otherwise it was fineBrian M.

Clear, upfront customer acknowledgement and attention upon arrival would be nice. Don't like to stand around like a dumbass wondering when I might be helped. Couldn't tell if the attendant was talking to me or a friend in the phone (it was a friend, I came second). Not unfriendly, just needs customer service training and to make the customer a priority. It's a problem in Baltimore in general, not just here.James B.

Regarding using U-Box containers, it would be helpful to insure that clients get connected to the appropriate U-haul staff (U-Box Specialist) every time there are questions or needs within the process. I had several instances where information was inaccurate because I did not talk with a specialist. It was very frustrating and wasted quite a bit of time trying to clear up issues.Kevin R.

I got there before 5 pm, but the guy locked the door right in front of me and did not allow me to return the equipment in person. He silently directed me to the drop the keys into the box instead. I used the online app to check in the equipment, but the internet connection was very bad, and I was not sure if my photo finished uploading. Then I saw on my credit card statement that this location charged me $20 for equipment return. I called and asked why, they said it was because I did not check in on the app, but now they could see that I did attempt to check in on the app, and so they refunded the $20 charge.Svetlana M.

The staff at this location is top notch! Management, people that clean the vehicles, customer service all of them! I've interaced with 4 different people at this location and each interaction was just as pleasant as the last. I would use this facility again just because of the people who work there. It is not the nicest uhaul location as far as the space but the service is unmatched. I think there may have been a mouse that got into my belongings and there was no food stored there so that's not great but the staff was incredibly helpful with every part of my move and storage needs. When I go the location they told me what I rent is not working and also they told me they don't have any other truck (even if I want any size bigger than 17 foot) . I arranged my movers , loading dock , PTO, Family , other house leaving date and they told my car is broken without any previous warning e mail or message . Not even tried to help me even if it is their fault . I called customer service and lady on the phone help me out and told me they have another available trucks . Same people gave me the truck without saying anything . I really want to thank the lady on the phone that I spoke that day .Tamer B.
I do have concerns regarding the policy of leaving keys in the u-haul vehicle unlocked. I had to insist on putting the keys in the hands of the parking lot attendent but he did not want to accept the keys at first. I don't want to be held responsible for missing keys in a unlock u-haul vehicle that could be driven away after I leave the lot. I was told camera's are recording the lot. Thank you..ANTONIO C.

I used two U-Haul locations in the same day (van rental and emptying out my U-box storage), and the Highlandtown U-Haul location was by far the best experience of my day. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and best of all they were fast. No one wants to spend their day at U-haul. After dealing with the second U-haul dealer, I was even more impressed with the Highlandtown location.Jonathan W.

My storage unit was stolen at this location. The theft cut the haul lock and replace it with other while none of the workers notice. The theft came multiple time and empty the unit. When I notice the staff they were indifferent and unwilling to corporate. One of the worker even say it's my problem for getting it stolen and she had worked here for 9 years and this never happened before. After I notice the lock was replaced by theft they told me I can't cut the lock myself and have to wait 48 hours for them to cut it. After I called the police and insist that I need to open the storage today since it is no longer safe. They cut the lock for me after 7 hours. Even worse, when I got there they left the storage unit unlock even after they know there was theft. And when I talked to the manager, he said he cut the lock but he wasn't aware of theft, cause the staff didn't notice him. Before the theft, I was trying to get in the storage in access hour which is 5am to 10pm. The front door was broken. I called the staff they said it was broken and the alarm was off. And say the hour should be to 9pm, which is a lie. This place also doesn't have security camera everywhere. You guys suck! I ask to have locks removed that l brought from uhaul. It took a month of me calling unable to get them. Having a reps trying and sending text to no avail. Then when I go to get my stuff the elevators are down no one inform me of it. I had rented a uhaul truck and labor, which I still had to pay. I get a bill with a late fee $40 which I wouldn't have gotten if communication was better because o would had my property 6wks ago. I can't say enough good about the staff at this facility, especially the manager and the new staff member who handled the paperwork for my move in! On a 93 degrees Baltimore day when their air conditioning unit was out and also the elevator in the storage building the kindness and clear-headedness with which they handled my move in was amazing. The weather situation nearly did me in, but these troopers, professionals all the way, adjusted and adapted and kept a positive spirit and upbeat attitude every step of the way. I couldn't have done any of what they did, even when I was younger and more inclined to deal with adverse circumstances. Not only were they helpful to me, but also to the Moving Helpers moving my stuff in from the Uhaul van to the storage unit. I'm sorry I didn't take time to learn their names because I want to remember them not only as super pros, but also as people who care about their customers as human beings. Moving back to Baltimore to begin my retirement journey I will be eager to recommend this site to everybody I know needing storage space. I will learn the names of the two professionals stuck in a hellish situation themselves who went the distance to keep my experience from being unpleasant and find a way to express my appreciation. There's are no ones for what experience. I paid for 24 hour access and found that I was the wrong storage facility I was told Canton during the reservation however I emailed a different location. Highland town . The facility didn't have the spaced that reserved for. I was running out of time. Was not able to put all my pieces in storage. I was not able to drive up to the dock, due to the places is locked after 8 pm. I left the office like 7:39 to go home to to get my things to come back to the facility. I'm was very frustrated and mad after looking into a smaller storage than I originally reserved. I had to move my things in the storage leaving on have to stiggle to get through a small door! Iaftet seeing the strlirwhe I had no time or money to reserve another place . After looking inside the storage facility I had cried . It was so upsetting to see that my things were in an old room with a big Rat Trap and very thin walls and the floor was cracked to the point it had easy access for rats to run over things. You told the office man to change out my storage due to the access to the building. And gave me a smaller one. The one assistant at the office knows how I feel about the whole situation. Staff was the best part, helpful and nice. Facility always smelled like a mixture of dead rat and industrial cleaners. Lights were on motion sensors which I appreciated but there weren't enough of them. No light whatsoever in units. Lost revenue and time and ended up losing a days work to resolve this issue. Then i reschedule with the movers and they NEVER showed up the following morning. No one answers phone or email. They checked me into a unit without my permission or presence two months before I had the unit reserved for 22 May 22. The two young gentlemen at the counter on Friday evening were very courteous and professional. One of them was especially very patient with showing me the door code process and took extra time to walk with me to the unit. He showed me how to use the ladder and even got the lock out of the unit for me. The customer service given to me was above and beyond exceptional! Not sure what's going on but moved my stuff out on may 1, 2021 got a call about 10 later stating they put a lock on my door and I would have to coming into the office and pick up a key and I will be charged accordingly which didn't make sense since I already had all my belongings out of the storage. This whole experience was just bad when I got to Maryland where I was supposed to get my original storage gave it away. I was accused of losing the U-Haul key which I had no idea what they was talkin about but once again there was a telephone call stating that they will be charged me for a uhaul key. When I moved in I paid for the 24/7 access hours. There was no light hanging up in the back area where my storage locker was located. I could barely see what was in my storage locker during the day and couldn't see anything at night. The ceiling broke apart over my locker a month into my storage and ruined half of the items in my storage locker. I was partially replaced a couple months later but it was a patch job. Rat's got into my locker and defecated everywhere (There was nothing edible in my locker but I believe the locker next to me had something in it). The solution to all of this was somebody throwing a tarp, bucket and ladder over the top of my locker. I am absolutely disgusted with my experience at this facility. I paid for a locker that was not serviceable and the result was half of my property getting covered in rat poop, dust and ceiling debris. I emailed the manager about this (And got no response). I also confronted employees and him in person but nothing was immediately done to help me. None of the employees/the manager were rude but nothing was done to help me. Am I a customer or is uhaul just collecting my money every month for a service that I am no be rendered!!!!dallas B. | Expérience générale

Since you asked, I'll tell you. Your employees are very friendly and helpful. They are fantastic. But the unit stinks and I felt gross whenever I went in there. That may just be the way it is everywhere, but I'll never want to put my belongings in storage again. The first time I went to retrieve my things, there was a glue trap right in front of the door with a wriggling mouse stuck in the glue, which I then had to dispose of myself, and I couldn't even locate a garbage can, so I had to carry it downstairs in the elevator to the bathroom where I knew there was a garbage can. Maybe that's just the way it has to be, and I'll just never use self-storage again. But I do want you to relate to your employees that I am grateful for their assistance.Jennifer H. | Expérience générale
