I wasn't happy about the fact that I got the truck with less than a quarter tank of gas in it and ran out of gas and had to walk a mile with a gas can when it ran out before I even got to the other side of Baltimore you. That was a waste of an hour and a half especially when I had six people waiting on me to help load up a five bedroom house and I was in an hour and a half late. You should always have your trucks filled completely when you rent them out instead of making your customers have to stop and get gas before the evening get where they're going. Pretty sure I'm going to rent a truck the next time from someone else. I don't think anyone appreciates running out of gas 20 miles from the U-Haul facility before they even get to the destination plus I'm pretty sure your trust should get more than 5 miles to the gallon. Pretty sure that they need tune-ups but this is not anything to do with the local workers who were very diligent even know they only had one person working the counter on a Saturday morning. That is more of a management problem of not scheduling enough people to handle the demand. Everyone there was very nice and polite and had to apologize a dozen times because of a line 10 people long. I showed up exactly at 10 a.m. when I was supposed to pick up my truck and I had to wait 20 minutes to get to the counter. So again it's not the employees it's the management that is trying to save money by not scheduling enough people to work on a Saturday which as you know it is the busiest day for moving as that's when people tend to move on the weekends since they work during the week so yes how about reimbursing me the 35 $an hour I make on my job times an hour and a half that I wasted carrying a gas can down the highway at 11 a.m. on a Saturday again the employees were four lights and apologized for being short-handed but when you're shorthanded a manager should step up and start doing the job of a cashier or truck sweeper or whatever needs to be done and not just sit back and say oh well we are short-handed today. Jumping and solve the problem instead of making excuses

CHARLES B.When I moved in I paid for the 24/7 access hours. There was no light hanging up in the back area where my storage locker was located. I could barely see what was in my storage locker during the day and couldn't see anything at night. The ceiling broke apart over my locker a month into my storage and ruined half of the items in my storage locker. I was partially replaced a couple months later but it was a patch job. Rat's got into my locker and defecated everywhere (There was nothing edible in my locker but I believe the locker next to me had something in it). The solution to all of this was somebody throwing a tarp, bucket and ladder over the top of my locker. I am absolutely disgusted with my experience at this facility. I paid for a locker that was not serviceable and the result was half of my property getting covered in rat poop, dust and ceiling debris. I emailed the manager about this (And got no response). I also confronted employees and him in person but nothing was immediately done to help me. None of the employees/the manager were rude but nothing was done to help me. Am I a customer or is uhaul just collecting my money every month for a service that I am no be rendered!!!!

Hans L.The truck that I rented had a check engine light on. The directions to retrieve the key for the truck are not clear and cut. I used the mobile app to pick a truck up, it told me the key would be in a lock box (did not say the lock box was located on the wall of the building) Told me I would get a code to open the lock box, that did not happen. Ultimately I had to go inside to complete my experience because the key wound up being inside the building anyway. All in all provide more clear instructions as to where the "lockbox" is located, and actually have the key inside of the lock box would have saved me 30mins of time. Then when we dropped the truck off there is no box to return the key ( Had to go inside again)

The vehicle was never left idling consuming gas and I can not imagine it consumes 1 gallon of gas for every 1,5 miles. Further more, I was never told there was a 30 $fuel charge. He only told me gas was 5 $per gallon.

That may just be the way it is everywhere, but I'll never want to put my belongings in storage again. The first time I went to retrieve my things, there was a glue trap right in front of the door with a wriggling mouse stuck in the glue, which I then had to dispose of myself, and I couldn't even locate a garbage can, so I had to carry it downstairs in the elevator to the bathroom where I knew there was a garbage can. Maybe that's just the way it has to be, and I'll just never use self-storage again. But I do want you to relate to your employees that I am grateful for their assistance.

We had a lot of our cloth furniture bit through. Mattresses and couches were destroyed. Not to mention how unsanitary that is to have nice chewing your mattress and relieving themselves on there as well! My "like new" king mattress is now trash. Thank God I got the insurance!!!! Although, they advertise 24-hour access to your things, but in my experience even the after-hours access door locks up at 10pm; therefore, making your access code useless. Another big issue my wife and I experienced was mice/rats. It is advertised that your stuff is safe from chemical treatments that the facility has done to "maintain" their pest problem. Out of one week of going to my unit to move our belongings to our new home, three of those days in a row I saw multiple mice run from unit to unit on the third floor. Now, I'm in the United States Army, I've dealt with much worse conditions before, but if you're going to advertise you are managing your pest problems, I expect them to be managed better than what I experienced. Because of this facility, my wife and I had to disinfect every single item in our unit and throw many things away. This facility also almost ruined our 2 000 $bed. Again, some staff were very friendly and helpful, but the facility itself needs to be better maintained. It was a nice secure place for our belongings for the two and a half weeks it was there, but never again will I come to this place, or recommend it to anyone else. I prefer not to have more of my belongings ruined by mice/rats.
