The location was great and the staff was helpful. The only issue I had is with uhaul itself. The app did not work to drop off, I wasted 1 1/2 hours trying to reach someone for help after 13 hours of hard work. Still have no idea if they got my rental taken care off.

Both desk employees, pick up and drop off, were very rude, apparently untrained for their positions and acted as if they were doing us some sort if favor. We both noticed their exceptionally unprofessional behavior independantly and were both insulted by their demeanor. We will not need U-Haul's services going forward.

Leticia S.I have been trying to speak with a corporate manager for a week straight now. Calling and emailing every day. First the truck we reserved was given to someone else with no notice to us at all. They said there was nothing else available. I called to say what happened ask for a credit back and help finding another truck ASAP. They said there is another 10' truck available at the same location 6p pickup on Saturday. I expressed how I now needed to pay another crew member extra to pickup on a weekend due to uhauls poor communication. Crewmember gets there just before 6p on Saturday and he's told there is no truck and that we canceled our reservation. We certainly DID NOT. There was back and forth. I tried calling corporate while he was there, but it was mostly pointless bc it was a weekend. He was finally told that they had a cargo van, this was not large enough for us but it was better than nothing. We took it. But we took it under the condition that the branch would hold and call us when the first 10' truck came in and was available so we could swap it out. That never happened. Me instead worked harder and made extra trips and crew members went into OT. Again, I called every day and sent multiple emails detailing what was going on. I expect a call so uhaul can make this right. We JUST set up the corporate account for this job and at this rate we'll be using penske or enterprise moving forward bc uhaul has not done anything to correct their mistakes.

HUGE signs on the outside of the building indicated where to go and stop to return equipment. After waiting there 10 minutes, I went into the store and the person said I should go to the to the side of the building. Once he came outside, he stood near the building and stared at me until I asked what he needed. Then he indicated where to park the trailer as if I should have known exactly what to do and where to go.

Robert F.Overall I was disappointed in this service (U-Box) as a first time user. From the start, the East Ridge Road facility personnel (I dealt with 3, including the Manager, Kyle Miller), appeared less than fully informed regarding this specific service (U-Box), as well as not overly friendly. They could not fully answer my questions regarding delivery methods and dates (I received general time frames that varied by employee); and also informed me I would receive e-mail notifications regarding pick-up from their store, as well as tracking information - NONE of which occurred. Additionally, they conveyed an incorrect address as part of my contact information (they used their store address for my address) which forced my payment to be denied because that erroneous address did not match what.my credit card company had on file! I had to directly call the Western NY Scheduling office multiple times to get that information. Also had to do the same with the Raleigh, NC Scheduling office to get correct information on the receiving end...needless to say, it was all very frustrating. To give credit where credit is due, all of the scheduling people I spoke with were very professional and helpful; and the woman that delivered (and picked-up) my U-Box was also very professional and helpful. And as noted in my survey, the goods were delivered in good order, so that was positive. Hope that captures both some of my frustration, but bottom line, unless you offered me a FREE U-Box move, I will NOT use this, or any other U-Haul service in the future.
mike P.I rent on average 4-5 U-Haul‘s a year. I use them to move around props for my daughters dance studio. Almost every time I rent a U-Haul there is something wrong with it. This time it was steering, very hard to keep this thing going straight. Also it had a broken windshield wiper, which I didn't realize until after I got stuck in a downpour. I rented one about a week ago that the brake pedal basically went to the floor. You had to literally stand on it to stop. These trucks need more regular servicing, and less just wipe it down clean it out and rent it again. This says nothing about the locations. The locations are fine. The trucks just need a lot more maintenance.

Please listen to the recording of that call and train her in customer de-escalation. She was condescending and rude. I had to BEG for the truck and dolly I reserved from another location. I lost over an hour of time and was in no way compensated for U-Hauls mistake.

I filed a claim with Joshua Buzi at repwest and they said they would get it to local managers to review. Can you tell me how that is going? I would like to be compensated for the items that were ruined trusting that my possessions would be safe at your location. Its not much. I handled most of the issues with my own sweat equity which was actually very tough and big job that I was not planning on doing. I will wait until I hear back before I review further. The area is clean and well maintained but there is a bad rat and mouse issue. The droppings were huge which lead me to believe it is rats. I found a dead small mouse outside my unit as well. They got into one of my bags that you heat up in the microwave and put on your shoulder. Apparently it had grains in there which they sniffed out. They tore it up and got grains everywhere, they made nests in my bedding and chewed through some cardboard boxes. There were several bedding comforters with rat pee and poop and grain where they were clearly sleeping. I'm having to get all my bedding cleaned and some have to be tossed because they chewed holes in it.

Please please please please please please please I beg of you, do something about the fact that you highly overestimate how much can fit in a storage unit. People rely on your estimates for their move. They do not have their own experience with this. The same problem goes with the u-haul trucks. A storage unit for a one bedroom no way fits a one bedroom. Same with a U-Haul truck, as experienced with a separate apartment's contents by a family member. Even the one to two bedroom storage unit and the one to two bedroom U-haul truck do NOT fit all the contents of a one bedroom. My family member had to change U-Haul trucks twice. Even the moving company I used said that you guys were overly optimistic when it comes to thinking what fits. I am not sure that you realize the implications of this overestimation. If you cannot fit everything into a storage unit, you have to change storage units, which can be an extreme stressor. I had to try three different storage unit sizes. If there is a U-Haul truck that does not fit everything into it not everything can be moved and precious things have to be thrown out and repurchased. I am not sure if the person that owns the company has not moved or experienced this or what is going on. I would recommend sendng out surveys asking people what size fits or so if it is such a problem. I would recommend you do something about this. I don't know why this is done by your company. I don't see the benefit to your company. We are puzzled by this, because you are a very very wonderful company other than that. Your staff is kind and patient, your return policy is excellent, and you are more than willing to help out. In summary, your company is amazing and awesome and your customer service is absolutely excellent. I just went into my recommendations because I thought it would help you with your future customer service as well as your customers. I am sure you want only the best for your customers.
