I was very disappointed with the cargo van that was rented to us because it was filthy with animal hair! I called the 361-855-3977 to inform them of the situation. Tiffany said to take the van back to the location I rented it and ask for a swap. I went back asking for a swap but the employee there looked at it and took it to the back to see if he could clean it. After a while he came back to inform me that they did not have a vacuum cleaner and tried to wipe it off but it didn't work. All he said that was all he could do and gave me the key. If I had not been in dire need of a vehicle to move some of my boxes, I would have told them to keep it. It was awful service!!! 1. I found it very odd that they didn't take me to inspect the vehicle or write the mileage. 2. I was inconvenienced by going back to the store to swap it out and they didn't and that trip to and from my home was extra gas I would be charged. 3. John the authorized person to give me credit did say he would credit 15 $but after going to my bank I discovered they charged me 110,22 $ instead of 98,45 $ plus I did not receive the 15 $credit he said he had applied to the contract. Hence I have my bank dispute the charges. This was the absolute experience I have ever had with UHaul!!!AMANDA F.

Due to an error on my part I ordered the wrong hitch. The staff found the correct hitch for me and had it installed in less than an hour. Price was very good. Le service a été excellent. Quality of work was superb!Richard E.
The site reported gas in vehicle at wrong level. Did not disclose to me the issue with fuel level. Only found issue when reviewing receipt that I was being billed 30 dollar service fee plus 22.xx for fuel. Is this a common practice? Rip off the consumer and only apologize if you get caught.ROGER R.

When I picked up trailer, it appeared fine. However, at 9:30 a.m. the next day, noticed it had a flat. I sat on hold with Roadside Assistance for 40 minutes while I tried to figure out the website to request service online. Tire guy arrived at 12:30 pm and I was actually able to use the trailer at 1:30 pm. I LOST 4 HOURS and was not compensated at all. In addition, I returned the trailer by 5 p.m. when it wasn't due until the NEXT day at 10 a.m.. AGAIN, not reimbursedSHANA H.

The computer did not reflect the correct equipment at this location. I had to wait while they figured out how to resolve the issue with the trailer assigned to me and the actual trailer I received. The employees need more training on how to address these issues.Karen C.

The first pick-up location that was given to me was Salon Envy, which has no visible U-Haul signage, and they are not open on Sunday's and Monday's, so there was no one there to get the rental truck ready for me today. Then, when I called, it took 8 minutes for someone to answer the phone, then after being placed on hold for 5 minutes, I was disconnected because the person that I was forwarded to hung up on the call. So I had to call back, and wait until 8 minutes before my call was answered. Then after being placed on hold for 10 minutes, I was told that I had to drive 15 minutes out of my way and go to another location, after having to waste about an hour on a moving day. Then, I am expected to pay 0,69 $ a mile, for all of the extra miles that I had to drive to go to a further away location. Thus, if you want to improve things for the next customer, get rid of Salon Envy, and do not overcharge your customers when you have wasted their time. Give them a discount! I returned the trailer I rented on Friday 8/19. It apparently didn't get logged in. I have now received notification that it was returned to the wrong location which is Not true. I reserved a truck at one location. It was changed to another location. Then it was changed to this location. I also reserved a dolly however they didn't have it marked down or have any available when I went to pick up the truck. The man checking me in didn't seem to care. The positive side is the guy who checked in the truck who was very friendly and professional.Ann Z.

Had a reservation 3 days in advance. When I arrived the trailer I needed wasn't even there. I only found this out after waiting in a 5 person line for an hour. The employee called around and said the only one available was at the rock port location which is about an hour drive out of my way. I finally had to tell the staff about one I saw out front that would work and I was able to rent that one. After 2 hours of being somewhere that should of takin about 15 minutes at the most I was finally able to get on the road. I will NEVER come back to this location and because of this will avoid the uhaul company all together in future endeavors. Obviously it goes without saying that I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone I know and advise them to avoid uhaul as well.DANIEL R.

Although the equipment was maintained, the person who used it last must have been hauling wood chips. To avoid getting charged for having debris in my trailer, I had to sweep out somebody else's mess, which was mainly wood chips, all the while I was simply hauling furniture out of a storage unit. The trailer should have been cleaned out prior to it being hooked up to my car.Cassandra M.

This is the third time in a month and a half, I have rented Uhaul trucks to move to Corpus Christie. The first time I was charged for not enough gasoline which according to the photos I took was incorrect. The second time there was no problem but this last time I returned the truck with way over the amount of gas than I picked it up with. I was charged for 2 gallons of gas when it was almost completely full. It must be a Uhaul policy to over charge their customers on a routine basis.Steven S.

Every time I call the location it's a 20 minute wait on the phone. The local number the 1-800 number it's just impossible to get to someone. The truck battery failed and I was stuck on hold hoping someone would answer. After 20 min an actual uhaul employee showed up and sorted the problem luckily.TIMOTHY O.

The day after I checked in my truck with an employee, I got a phone call from a different employee at this location who didn't know the combination to the truck and had to ask me for it as well as asking if I was checking in my truck. I guess the first employee never checked me in despite telling me he would. This location is extremely unorganized with poor work ethic. I will never use Uhaul again, I will tell everyone I know to never use this service as well. It made my moving experience extra stressful. Never again.David T.

They were out of pads that I had reserved with my trailer. Was not told that I would not get any pads until I picked up the trailer. Had to run around to find old blankets at Goodwill. Maybe they can notify the person renting so that last minute shuffling doesn't have to happen.DANIEL C.

From the time we moved our trailer off the lot and turned in clicker I had to spend 2+ hours on the phone each week when I was sent a late notice bill wanting me to keep paying rent. The late fees and lien threats were obnoxious when each week I called I was told the account was closed and owed nothing to just get larger late fees the following week. Online was more helpful than in person experience. I saw online available units and had Walked around seeing the storage unit first hand and when I went to speak to the u-haul sales person I was told they were a full capacity. But over all I did walk there the first time just to be told that. Then I just went home booked it online the lady recognizing said we're at full capacity, so I then told the other sales person my recipe and informed them online has them available. Young kid who worked on Saturday was not at all friendly or even very competent in his duties. He spent too much time on the premises and not in the office helping customers and he told me that my storage unit was way in the back several buildings over and I walked there in the pouring rain while he drove the rental truck that I just rented so he would stay dry and he didn't even offer me a ride in the rain. My storage unit was actually 300 feet from the front desk and inside and dry. He wasn't aware of its location in the least but sent me on.a wet search and he wasn't apologetic for his lack of knowledge or help while I got drenched, unnecessarily.Keith C. | Premières impressions

I had items in the Uhaul facility for about nine months. I got behind on my payments. I went to talk to the management. They gave me a payoff amount and said that when I pay this, my debt is paid. Months later, I received a notice saying that I still owed money. I went to talk to them, and the manager agreed that I was now in debt to Uhaul again. He said it was because I left a dresser in the unit. I told him that I did not have a vehicle large enough to remove the dresser. Also, when I paid my debt and was told I was clear, the manager at that time DID NOT say I had to remove every single item. I only left one item, the dresser. Now, the manager has put a lean against my name. This is wrong. I was told that I was in the clear.
