3 Customers in line. 1 office worker. Office worker took multiple phone calls including personal calls while the customers listened and waited. Incredible attitude when the shop employee came in, literally saying all the customers "have been like this all day." All 3 of us were frustrated and it took 48 minutes to pick up a pre-reserved trailer and they did not adjust the rental time to reflect the delay. 1/10 will not be returningadam S.
i have had many amazing customer service experiences with u-haul in the last month; this was NOT one of them. such absolute rudeness from the lady running the counter. she called the secondary number from my file immediately, and without consent, and started barking at my sister on the other end of the line. when i told her this wasn't my experience the week before renting a trailer from canada down to Louisiana, and how the Kenner staff was so kind and polite, she informed me this was the "new U-haul". the slow-moving line was filled with people who were scared of interacting with her. we all acknowledged the insanity like prisoners dealing with an irate prison guard. my previous positive experiences with u-haul convinced me to actually buy u-haul stock; this experience made me want to sell it immediately. honestly, if she doesn't like her job, she should find something else to do. the Kenner branch is filled with lovely and kind people, from the manager on down. this location suuuuuucked.Jonathan S.

the pick up was fine as usual. THE RETURN DONE BY TWO YOUNG GIRL ,THE ONE THAT CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD WAS ALRIGHT AND RESPECTFUL, THE ONE THAT WAS CHECKING FOR MILEAGE AND GAS WAS TOO BUSY SMOKING IN THE CUSTOMER FACE TO GIVE AN ACCURATE REPORT AND I WAS CHARGED FOR THE ESTIMATE MILEAGE INSTEAD OF THE REAL MILEAGE (over charged estimate was 100ml .i only did 40ml) i have been overcharged. i was too upset and my UBER was waiting plus it was raining .she was rude SO INVESTIGATEAlvy D.
What can you do to improve the experience for the next customer? You can start by training the key holder behind the counter that clearly hates working for uhaul, cutting behind the counter. I don't know her name, but I'm sure there are many complaints. Older black woman with a general poor disposition towards any customer that walks through the door. Worst Custer experience I've ever had. I know staffing is rough for everyone out there, but if she's the only "manager" you have to staff it, I would just close the location and move the trucks up the road.Zaccaria O.

The app didn't work for self-pickup. Complications with the app were recurrent and I found this to be extremely annoying. . There was only one person working at the counter and though I was third in line it took over 25 minutes to be helped.Jay P.
Employees here were very rude. In the parking lot, I tried to ask one employee a question and she walked away from me. I used my phone to pick up van, but when I went inside to get the key, the employee who handled this spoke about 10 words to me. Horrible experience. Customer service was terrible from pick up to drop off. The ladies inside never asked if I needed help I was just standing there waiting while they talked one was even cursing. When I dropped off the lady tried to say the truck was damaged when there was clearly a sticker already on the truck from it being wrecked. I didn't want to argue so I told her I paid for the insurance do whatever she needed to. I rent U-Hauls all the time for delivering balloon decor for my business and this location was the worst experience ever.Lyneara M.

Slow, difficult, hostile. The woman working the counter acted like she hated the customers and they were an inconvenience, ignoring those in front of her in favor of cell phone, there was no acknowledgement of the customer in front of her. When I did have questions about the contract or service, rather than seeking to explain the reasoning for policies using basic customer service skills, she was confrontational: â€œsir this is the policy, people ask me about these things all the time, and you just have to sign it, something about how hospitals and doctors do business.â€ I'd suggest seeking to de-escalate rather than escalate, a light touch and approaching customer questions/concerns with emotional intelligence is advisable. It seemed this person was the manager, which speaks volumes about this Uhaul location. The overall consensus was that this person hated her job, hated the customers, and wanted everyone approaching the counter to just go away or die. The place I actually dropped the units at is different than the one that was assigned for drop off. The assigned location refused to take the two units thy were rented stating that would take one but not both. Thy was very irritating and caused quite a bit of issue attempting to find a location to take unitsRaymond K.
Unrelated to these locations but at another location in Atlanta that was part of our trip...I bought packing supplies at the U-Haul location on Peachtree Road NE in Buckhead and that location was very dishonest. Two issues. First, I rented 5 bags of packing blankets...they charged me for 60 (12 per bag) but there were only 6 in each bag once I opened. Two, I returned two boxes of bubble wrap and one medium sized box unused. They would not reimburse the items. The box of bubble wrap had some tape torn off but no product was missing so they wouldn't take it and the box was as bought...said they needed receipt and couldn't take the credit card used to purchase that same very day and from the person I did business with...would never go to the location again and wouldn't recommend.JAMES G.

I was supposed to go to a location on Tulane, when I arrived they were rude and told me I was at the wrong location, despite the fact that my paperwork said different. Also, I was given a much larger truck than I requested. I was having to Uber to get around NO, so not only was I given the wrong truck, I had to pay a fortune being bounced around location to location to find someone that wanted to help me. The truck I was given, the AC would not work at speeds over 65 and I drove it from New Orleans to Denver.Claude M.
Tell customers before they make a reservation that ONLY credit cards are accepted for payment!! Not knowing this derailed my entire moving day and I'm sure it's caused so many problems for other customers as well as your employees! Absolutely atrocious customer service. We waited almost an hour for our reserved truck, then were charged for fuel after we refilled. We received a phone call about the fuel dispute we initiated where the woman quite literally screamed at us and then hung up after being asked to calm down several times. They made things quick and easy for me, and were helpful attaching the trailer, attaching my car to the trailer. The only issue was that the 15' truck I rented was not available, so I had to downgrade to a 10'. This wasn't really the locations fault, and they were quick to find me a new truck. The service with uhaul in general, not just this location, needs improvement. First, I went online to make a reservation for the pick up truck at the 2801 Tulane location. Not long after, I receive a call from a woman identifying as Ashley telling me that I can't rent the pick up because I have a non LA license. She claimed that out of state licenses had to rent the larger trucks. She was mean, short, and aggressive during the dialog. When we terminated the call, I called the uhaul 800 number to validate what Ashley said. Two different uhaul reps told me that what Ashley said was untrue. One of them made a new reservation for me. Hence me changing locations to successfully rent the pick up truck needed. At the Claude location, staff are efficient and direct. They do their jobs. By the time I needed to return the rental, I realized I needed more time. I was told I could not extend my reservation. Instead I made a new one via phone. However, when I attempted to check out the vehicle for the new reservation, I was told there were non available. Turns out some rep (I never spoke to), later revised my reservation for pick up and return in some part of Georgia I've never been to. I'll be using the budget rentals from here on out.Kentra T.

I was in need of storage and the Uhaul on St Claude was definitely not the best price, n'or did it have AC, but location was important to me. I signed up on line and had the customer representative help me with the rest. Took about 30-45 minutes from start to finish. She then walked me over to the entrance, explained how to get in and then pointed to a STAIRCASE and told me there was no elevator. Get the heck out of here!!!! I wanted to scream. I had to walk away to compose myself. Had to cancel the entire transaction. Complete waste of my time. I hope I never go back for a truck rental or anything. When i brought the truck back the sign outside says wait in the equipment and you will be greeted by a representative. Well i waited 10 mins and no came. I am disputing an $825 tire and rim charge. I am being charged this amount because the general manager said I caused a flat tire and scratched the rim. I am not disputing the flat tire as that is clear but the rim scratch the general manager is referring to is nowhere near where the puncture of the tire is and I will not be paying hundreds of dollars for a new rim because the rim has a scratch on it that was not caused by me. My storage was not secured I have items missing and they allowed someone that was family in my storage and took items out of my storage my storage was in my niece name Monica Ramsey before I took her off and put it in my name because I figured out what they was doing to secure my storage and on top of that they tried to block me from paying my storage rental I had somewhere else . When things you put into a storage unit is not secured and employees allow other people to go in there when I was paying my storage myself is not COOL on all levels . My niece had the keys and key card before I got to New Orleans so she was able to do whatever before she gave me the keys to the lock and access card to get in.
