This was not the original location where I set up the rental. The person who runs that location promised I would be notified ahead of time if for some reason he wasn't going to have the truck I wanted on the day and time I wanted it. I went to get the truck only to find he did not have, and he was completely evasive and deflected when I reminded of his promise to inform me if something like that was going to happen. I would not recommend anyone do business there again. Once I got transferred to the other location, things went smoothly. The problem wasn't the lack of a truck, it was the lack of follow through on the communication he promised.William N.

The employees have great customer service. Super helpful and courteous. The van had very dirty windows. The location is convenient for me, so i will continue to use it. I feel bad for the employees working in a place that is dark, with no windows, and a site with terrible curb appeal. You are fortunate to have great employees who will work in this location. Staff was not prepared to effectively hitch the trailer. Staff member had to move the same 2 vehicles twice each to unblock the trailer and needed my help putting a spark plug in one vehicle because it wouldn't start. She needed help because her artificial fingernails were too long.Lauren D.

This was my second time renting from this location, each time I picked up and dropped off the trailer I interacted with a different employee, all of whom were very friendly and professional.John M.
Staff was very helpful when I made the reservation by phone, when I picked up the cargo van and when I returned it. My big and only problem was with Sea Move. They were to be at the move site at 11:00. They did not show up nor did they call or respond to our calls. We loaded the van ourselves. I highly recommend Tim's Moving who waited for us to arrive so they could unload the van.Joanne S.

i was charged for gas when truck was returned there was more gas than when rented drove the truck 14 miles and put over 3 gallons of gas they charged me for 3 more. 6 gallons for 15 miles? something is not rightmichael H.

I had requested a pickup in Interbay (Seattle) and two days prior was called and informed my pickup would actually be Tacoma (not the fault of this location I'm sure), but this created a lot more work to coordinate pickup timely. The person working the desk just said the reason was because people keep stealing all the uhauls, and if I wanted to try and change anything I'd need to call the generic uhaul number. Albeit not easy, we kept the Tacoma reservation to ensure we could get the sized truck we needed. The day of pickup I received 3 calls within 2 minutes (without a voicemail left) from the Tacoma location. As I was trying to call back the 3rd call was coming in. When I answered the person asked if I still wanted my reservation. I said yes, 100 %. They said well, my reservation was for 2:00 and I'm 30 minutes late. I clarified that pickup time was associated with my initial reservation to pickup in Interbay, but now that it was Tacoma I likely wouldn't be there until between 5:00-6:00pm. The person asked if they should change my pickup time and I said yes, because I wouldn't be there until later. On my drive up this desk person called me just before 6:00pm asking if I was still coming to pickup my uhaul. I said yes, and reminded them I was going to be there between 5:00-6:00pm but traffic was terrible so it may be just after 6:00pm. The desk person said oh yeah, I forgot I already called you. When we arrived check in took quite long. There was confusion about my moving from/to location which was odd since that info was part of my reservation. I'm not sure why the person working in Tacoma couldn't see that information (or didn't look for it), so I had to provide the information again. The desk person then informed us a specific truck outside would be ours and to do the walkthrough. Halfway through she came out and said oh that's not the truck, you'll actually be in this other truck. So we go to the 2nd truck and start doing the walk through. Then someone else came around and said oh that's not your truck, I don't know why she (the first gal) told you it was this one. It has braking issues. So the 2nd gal who told us that changed us back to the first truck we started with and we started the walkthrough for the 3rd time. The 2nd gal was much more helpful and pulled the truck around for us so we wouldn't have to turn it around in the parking lot. About 40 minutes later we were finally on our way. I have typically had no issues and great experiences renting from uhaul and finding a location within a reasonable distance of my starting location. I don't know if all the pieces were just out of the ordinary this go around, but it was not an easy or pleasant experience.Andrea S.

U-Haul has really turned into a terrible and unprofessional company. I booked weeks in advance only to find out the store did not have my truck. I had to take a $50 Uber 30 minutes away to get it. I received multiple calls with either conflicting or repetitive information. When booking, the location was guaranteed or a $50 refund (which means it's not guaranteed). I've yet to see that refund. Not only did I receive a text message 30 minutes passed my pick up time that my Uhaul was at a different location. When I got my Uhaul from the correct location the gas tank was empty requiring immediate fill up. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone in the Tacoma area.Sean R.

I returned the truck on Sunday and reserved it for the following day Monday. My son Trae Guilford went inside, paid for the rental truck. We were given an empty Truck with less than a quarter of a tank of Gas. I ask my son to go back inside and ask for the same truck that we returned on Sunday, the truck which we had fill with S30 worth of gas. They told him know, so I went into the store and inquired why could we not get the truck which we reserved, and we knew had gas. At that point I told my son to leave the truck and we would rent from another store. The young black female said that's fine I cancel your contract. We left the 25th street site and drove to center street where Trae had been put on and e-alert and was not able to rent a truck. I have no idea what the young lady put in the system to allow this to happen, but it was deceptive and very unprofessional on her part. I offered to rent using my card at center street and I was told by the manger there at the community U-Haul on center street that he could not allow me to rent because my son was on an alert. So, we went to Penza Rental Truck for 5 days at $99 a day and 0,99 cents a mile A full tank of Gas. The total cost for Trae and myself was $505.00. But the cost was well worth the respect and the customer services provided. Your employee, I think her lies cost your company a lot of money. I recommend perhaps an integrity evaluation of your employee is grossly needs. I hope she sleep well at night. We are resting well I got my son and his two kids transitioned successfully without the assistant or use of a U-Haul truck. God is Good!Ella G.

We received excellent customer service at this U-HAUL location. The service manager went out of her way to make sure that our rental experience was the best ever. She had several renters in at once and took care of each on with a character to care like attitude. You can tell that she really does her best to make sure that everyone that she serves has what they need to have a great rental experience. I would highly recommend this U-HAUL location. However, as she had explained to me: it is not wise to leave valuables in your car and also not wise to leave your car there overnight at this location. I really appreciate her proficiency and once again having the character to care about people like me. Keep up the good work!Vince H.

I rented a truck yesterday at 5 PM. The lady at the front desk did not inform me that the truck I was renting had no AC. This normally would not be an issue but at the time I rented the truck it was 96 degrees out and a severe heat warning. I called around 5:30 pm after leaving with the truck, and asked about the AC. The same lady I rented the truck from answered the phone. She first told me "she was aware of the truck not having AC '' and that it was going to be fixed. I asked her why she didn't inform me of this when I rented the truck due to the severe weather. She then changed her mind and told me she was unaware of the truck not having AC. She was very rude and offered no help. She sarcastically said " what the window doesn't work?" Then she hung up on me. The line said it was recorded. Please listen to how your employees are treating paying customers. She totally ignored my complaint and treated me with no respect at all. The truck was so hot my phone overheated halfway to my destination. I had no way to navigate to my destination and my only option was to turn around. I had to drive home, wasting several miles that I have been charged for and getting lost on the way home because I don't know this area well enough to navigate without a phone. I waited for it to cool off until I completed my trip. This complaint is not about getting a refund, although I do feel I deserve a discount for the wasted time and miles. This is more about the way your employee treats paying customers. Very rude and unprofessional.Chelsea P.

I am not sure I can blame the dudes that are working Sunday mornings at this UHaul location. After booking the UHaul, almost every single detail/communication was quite honestly disappointing. Le personnel était amical et serviable. The warehouse had lots of supplies to buy. When I went to return the truck there was a homeless man sitting at the entrance cutting the dead skin off of his feet. When customers walked by he would start harassing them and asking them for money. I notified the staff. And they said they were aware of it. But it was two females and I don't know that they could drive him away. It made me and the other customer feel uncomfortable as we had to walk by this gauntlet.ALLISTER S.

Establish better security at this location. Our first 10' truck rental wasn't usable due to gas siphoning/stealing resulting in leaky, punctured gas tank, which is a catastrophic disaster waiting to happen to some unfortunate soul.Joseph K.
