There was no lock provided in the storage unit as mentioned in the email/text message I received from uhaul. I had to purchase one from the office. The entry way to the storage unit building did not have a slope where I could drag/push the cart loaded with heavy stuff. I had to lift the cart up, which made it difficult. Otherwise the experience was seamless and facilities are good.AMAL P.

Your staff were awesome, very friendly, quick efficient and explained everything The only issue, room to move. Too many things packed in too small a parking lot and it puts stress on getting in and out without damage. The lot is not laid out very well at all. I would choose another location just because of that but they were the only ones with a car hauler, which really sucked towing into that lot. I had zero room to make a turn or back it up. I was a bit dissapointed, when i picked up the trailer the lights weren't working then when we finally bent the wire it worked. Once we got the lights to work we had a rear marker burned out in the back. I think quality control is important, im disappointed I wasn't offered a discount as im a regular.CORNELIUSD Z.

Reservations was at Jug city at 1330 Ritson road unit 1 for 11am. Sonny guaranteed he would be there at 11am went to pick up the moving truck the place was closed. Spoke to uhaul customer service they rebooked me to the uhaul 515 Taunton road picked up the truck battery died Had to cancel the move....I hope I don't get charged for this waste of my time I would like to be contacted at 416-230-9289 to discuss this issue.RAMNARASH S.

Your after-hours process does not work and needs to be fixed. This is twice that I have tried to use your app and it doesn't work. The first time your software couldn't find my location and the second time when it asked for me to take a picture of the returned equipment, it wouldn't let me upload a photo or take a photo; the camera screen was black and no photo could be taken and I couldn't complete the process. Very frustrating and in need of repair at your end. Don't offer a service that you haven't checked out to see if it works or not.Kevin B.

This was far and beyond the worst experience I've had moving, and it's all thanks to UHaul. I had my truck booked over 3 weeks in advance to be picked up on Sunday, November 28th from a location in Toronto that I chose due to its close proximity to my house. I was then completely blindsided when I got a call from a UHaul representative in the late afternoon on Friday, November 26th saying that they misplaced my truck. This is clearly a MAJOR obstacle as I had plans to move my entire apartment to a new city in 2 days... I was told that there was a truck I could use in Oshawa, and that I'd get 100km extra in mileage as well as $50 off my rental cost. I had no option but to accept that despite the major inconvenience. So I commuted an hour out of my way, just to drive the truck back in the opposite direction that I was going in order to load it up with my belongings in Toronto. Once I had the truck loaded up and began my drive to Montreal, I was less than shocked at this point to realize that the truck was in no way equipped for winter driving in the snow. On the highway, I was forced to pull over every chance I had to manually de-ice the windshield, because the wipers did absolutely nothing. As a cherry on top, once returning the vehicle in Montreal and receiving my final bill, I realized that there was never $50 taken off the cost like I was promised. Quite frankly, $50 off is nothing considering the amount of hardship I was forced to overcome due to UHaul's poor service and it's vehicle. Overall, this was hands down one of the worst company experiences I've ever had. It's safe to say that I'll never use UHaul again and am making sure others don't have to go through similar situations as me with this unfortunate company.Jeremy S.

The equipment and truck were fine. The front desk staff were not helpful. 4 staff members at the desk who were more interested in chatting with each other about their new cell phone than focusing on the customer. When returning the truck, the front desk staff again ignored me when I walked in as they were talking. Eventually they noticed me and said to just pull around the building and honk. The one person working in the back (Marshall) was very helpful, checking me in, while also repairing a truck as the rest of the staff did nothing. Waste of everyone's time when they could be helping.JOHNMICHAEL S.

The cab of the truck was fine as was the exterior. I did not look in the back until we were loading and found it had not been cleaned out. I should have looked before leaving the lot but the situation was stressful and urgent. When I returned the truck the attendant was not very pleasant and basically scolded me although I was not charged any extra. I had assumed the back would have been cleaned prior to renting the equipment out again.Shelley B.

I have rented from this location many times, there is ALWAYS a problem (not sure why I don't find another company or location other then it's the closest to my home). Yesterday, it was time to play find the vehicle!! The employee sent me on a wild goose chase to find the van I had rented. After coming back 2x to office (he acted like I was in the wrong and bothering him for not knowing where the van was), he finally went around the back and behind the rental storage units to find the van that he handed me keys too!! Meanwhile, there were several vans located just outside the door! What a joke!!ROYD R.
The truck truck was dirty and smelled really bad. You could tell that the inside wasn't cleaned after each use. I was choking so bad that I had to roll down the windows despite the cold. It smelled like weed and unwashed bodies combined. Dash board and corners of the truck had food crumbs all over. Before i get into the issues, John who met me outside of normal business hours was pleasant, helpful and professional. First issue, for a mid month move, i couldn't get a truck the size i wanted and wasn't able to get the size i wanted because it wasn't available. Granted, my move date came together very quickly for a number of reasons and i booked a little more than a week out but it is mid month. Very surprising. The thing that upset me most on this was not that i couldn't pack everything and i have to go back. It was that the drop-off location for my truck had 3 trucks the size i wanted sitting in their parking lot and i know they hadn't been used in a while based on the the amount of snow on them. The trucks are available but it appears that either U-Haul does not want to rent them for some reason such as winter safety, or the company os doing a poor job of inventory control. Second issue, truck and trailer were fine but there was zero convenience to this rental. I had to pick up and drop off the trailer at a completely different locations, adding stress to what is already going to be a stressful day. Maybe this is already being contemplated or the company does not see revenue to offset the cost of transporting the "in desire" trucks to markets guaranteed to rent them. Going forward, I will use pods to save on the frustration. I will say that everyone I dealt with in person was really good. Polite, empathetic and professional so I believe your corporate culture is very strong so hats off to you for that. However, you need to look at your inventory control because you are probably costing yourself money at a minimum and for me, failed to provide me the service I expected. Simple comparison for you. Check your 20 or 26 foot truck total in Almonte, Ontario. Then take a look at how long the have been there and how small this population is.Scott H.

This location needs more workers as the person who is responsible for the returning vehicles is by himself and there were 5 or 6 vehicles waiting to be returned which caused havoc on the property for those vehicles that were trying to leave as well as the office had another 5 people waiting to get their vehicles!Arthur D.

Make it easier for late night trailer drop offs. There should be a separate area for trailer returns and truck returns. Finding a spot that was not blocking other equipment and was not blocking entrances or parking spots is a challenge. Additionally you need to consider making more room to allow better turning area for those picking up and dropping off trailers as it is currently limited due to the significant volume of other trailers and equipment in the main lot.VICTOR M.

I make a reservation two weeks in advance for a 26 foot truck. They didn't have any 26 foot so I ended up with a 20 ft that I got from Whitby. I am moving out of a 5 bedroom house and that was very inconvenient as we have to make multiple trips which takes longer. On top of that I rented a storage and was denied access at mins after 7pm. I called customer service they can't help. I got the managers number no answer. I am still stuck at m house with the truck full of my stuff because no access to the storage that I paid for.very disappointed and I have to close the deal on my house today November 1st at 11:30, still stuck with a truck load in the driveway and I am not finish moving my stuff because of this. I booked on line and got the confirmation number as well for 15 x 10 x 8 storage starting January 1st 2021 but when I went on January 2nd to move my items, girl at the desk said that it's not available and offered me 10 x 10 x 8 and she said that is the only available.
