My reservation time was 9am, I got there early parked and waited. At 901 the lights still were not on in the store. There was an employee going in and out so I asked if he can help me with my truck because I have a schedule that i need to keep. He said I had to wait 10-15 minutes because his coworkers weren't there yet. He ended up helping me about 5 minutes later and told me the truck was on the front row by the street. It was not. It was still in the return line and not clean. Another attendant had arrived at this time and when I informed her my truck as in the return line she informed me I had to wait again for her to clean in. All in all it set me back about 30 minutes to start my task. For a trip that was less than 5 miles total distance.

Employees sprayed vehicle out with water; left standing water on floor mats, door handles, rear cargo area, etc. I had to mop the vehicle and drain recess for doors due to standing water. Poor communication about the car dolly having to be attached by U-Haul personnel.

there were too many furniture pads. I could not fit them in the container and I had to drive them down from Pa to Fl (along with other items) in a separate trip. I looked online to see if I could drop them off at a uhaul location before I moved but I saw that they have to stay with the box. There were so many. They took up the entire back cargo area of my forester.

Check rented vehicles to insure the cargo area is dry after cleaning. Provide the renter or diver with information regarding adjusting mirrors and safety features in the vehicle.

Make sure everything is working properly. This time , a headlight was out, which I did not discover until dark while I was on the road. Last time (and many other times) there was a check engine indicator on for my entire rental. Often, the mirrors are loose. Most of the time, there is a problem with the app (e.g.,pictures won't upload, key not in locker, etc.). When I try to ask a staff person to help, they do not seem to care.

"Did your U-Box container(s) arrive on time?" I answered no because they said the container was going to arrive the 16th and it did not and I had no updates that's day. I started receiving messages the 18th about the final delivery, which then was going to be the 19th and I didn't know why. Then they called me the 20th asking if the box was going to be ready for pick up the 21st. Of course not, so they told me that the next available day for pick up was the Friday 26th. I said okay and scheduled it. But, I thought I already paid the whole month of September to unload the box at my own peace?? Very happy with the overall service and the calls I received regarding my box and the logistics. The only things I would highlight are the two things I explain above. Thank you for a great service overall!! I would definitely use it again.

The worker was very good, she tried to be helpful but was unable to allow us to upgrade to a 20ft because we were a one way. We would have had to return at that location which would have put us over our mileage. So we had to try our very best to make the 15 ft work. Please allow us to go to a bigger truck that we can return anywhere. Also we didn't get the dolly we needed.

I didn't use the gas that the company stated I used on the receipt. They charged me for 3 gallons of gas unacceptable should be ashamed of themselves especially after they charge for all the bogus fees and mileage cost.

I was largely ignored while I parked and unloaded my vehicle from a trailer, i wouldn't have hated having some guidance on where to park or eyes on the unload.

The app does not work well. You can't go back to previous steps during pick up and drop off (edit contact info after moving on to the next page) and it marked my drop off as complete before I submitted the photos.

Extremely bad experience, ever!!!!! (1), the staff mischarged others' bill (over 200) in my reservation. After I came to this location and told the staff, they helped me to solve the problem (I would like to thank the two staff members who helped me). But when we changed a car, (2) there was a very bad samll in the car. So we changed to another car, after using it for just one day, in our calculation, we only used around 12 miles, (3) but in the overall receipt, it is around 45 miles!! What the hell is going on? Is there any other mis-operation?

How do you rent a small $19 truck for one hour and end up paying $102.00. This is robbery. I will never, never ever tell anyone to use U-Haul at this place.

Someone should walk thru with the customer the controls in the truck to make sure they know how to they all works. There were many buttons , I did not what they were on the control consoles. I had a problem figuring out how to get the AC turn on. I only find out when I checking back in after I return the truck that AC did not . I spent a lot of time to figure out turn on the AC on a hot day. I was not told what type of gasoline I might need if I had to put in the truck if I need to fill the truck up during my travels .

Make sure all trash from the last person is removed. There was an empty coffee cup and fast food trash behind the seats. Trucks near the parking lot exit need to be moved back a little, or not parked near the exit at all. Trying to exit onto Washington Blvd with traffic flying by, makes it difficult to see if it's safe to pull out.

Perfect example of 1 bad apple spoiling the bunch. The woman behind the counter and the young man that prepares die vehicles did a great job. The guy that worked in the building and takes you to your vehicles did not. He was rude, not helpful and is the reason for this poor rating.

On pickup, it seemed like the employees were short-staffed. They were doing the best they could with the resources they had, but it didn't seem like there were enough people on staff. Also, some customers were visibly upset and belligerent about difficulties they faced, which worsened my overall experience.

I was changed to app check in without being asked and the app was poorly functional. It required me to go in two hours earlier then planned to make sure no issues arouse due to the app. The staff was very nice but when I received my truck shattered glass was all over the bed. I brought up issue and they took truck to clean. When I arrived home and opened I found the glass in the alcove area was not addressed. Again glass was covered in the bed. It delayed my movers so I could spend 20 min cleaning it up. I was additionally given the truck with a quarter tank of gas. This is a very sad practice by u-haul. I will likely return back to Penske for future rentals.

The location had a long line and the employee handling everybody suggested we try the app for faster service. I ended up having to call in and the person I spoke to over the phone got my rental squared away and helped me proceed on the app. It wasn't ideal with the number of people that needed help but you guys made it work.

Great experience! Moving can be very stressful and U -Haul made it a seamless process. The staff was friendly and helpful and all of the details were communicated in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend U-Haul to anyone looking for movers.

apparently, since about a week ago, you must use the app to rent a vehicle. i had made the reservation on line, and when we arrived to pick up the truck, we had to download the app, and go through the whole verification process which took an extra 40 minutes. it didn’t work by the way and the young man at the location was able to override and help us anyway. but it was rather an annoyance

The first cargo van i was given was completely damaged and the side door didn't open. It was dirty and the outside was marked up as if it had just been in an accident that morning. The second cargo van i was given was much better and cleaner. Customer service could have been better and instructions could have been clearer. The app glitches several times when I tried to return the vehicle so I had no idea if the van was checked in or not. Just a complete nightmare.

The employees at this location were extremely unhelpful since U-Haul now requires that you do all check-in on their website. It took about 30 min to get all the nonsense information U-Haul requests online. Meanwhile there were at least 3 employees that I counted at this location that were not doing very much. So basically I had to do the entire check in process myself so that U-Haul can save money. It was complete nonsense. And once I had finally gone through all the hoops and was ready to pick up my van, the vehicle wasn't even where the app told us it would be. It was instead in a far off part of the parking lot with 2 other vehicles around it that required some maneuvering to get out safely. You guessed it, the staff was not helpful and no where to be found. After this experience, I will think twice before using U-Haul again. I'd rather give my money to a smaller company that actually cares about customers. U-Haul needs to stop giving their executives more money and perhaps consider paying their front facing employees what they deserve so that customers don't have to use their online platform to do the work for them. Shameful.

This is a very busy location. They need more help their system went down we had to download and install your mobile app now it wasn't that difficult for me, but there were some older people there that were struggling with it and it wasn't because the system went down. It was due to a shortage in personnel.

Don't change the pick up location with less than 24 hour notice. And if you do that, allow me to pick best locations. This was over 30 minutes out and I complained directly after the change and received a call after the pick up time telling me basically that sucks deal with it. Whoever called me needs to be talked to about their customer service.

It was inconvenient to recieve the u-haul truck with under 1/4 tank of gas. Our moving schedule was delayed because the very first thing we had to do was find a gas station and add gas to the vehicle.

The manager there, Joshua Barone, was extremely helpful. My reservation had to be altered and so they gave me a perk on the truck and assured me that the truck and storage space are available, and when there was a hiccup, he immediately drove over to the storage unit and assigned me a new one. He had given me his card so I had someone to contact for immediate assistance, in case of anything. Moving is stressful, and he was a source of peace on my moving day. Thank you Joshua!! Best U-Haul/self storage experience I have ever had (and I've had a lot). So grateful he was there. Also, the guys with One-Stop moving co. were also great, very polite and fast.

Good service, only complaint is that U-Haul doesn't give refund for the days left in the month after our move-out from vehicle storage . As there is a waiting list, So U-Haul gets our money and rents our space to someone else; double profit. Not good.

The facility is immaculate and the unit was also, I just don't recommend the upper units if you have heavy items, appliances, etc to store. Definitely chose a unit on ground level. Beyond that, I would rent storage units at this facility anytime. Denise

The staff when I moved in was quite condescending, asked unclear questions during the check in process (have you moved in to the storage unit already, they meant the online move in process but I interpreted it as physically moving in) and showed visible frustration when I didn't correctly answer the question. They generally talked down to me for the interaction. I had also bought a lock because I was unaware the unit came with a free lock. When we arrived at the unit, the staff member took the free lock back with them because I had already bought a lock. On move out, my move out request was not processed for a week. Only after I got a warning that I would be billed for another month and I reached out to the manager did my move out get finalized.

Lots of confusion among the staff here. I cleaned out my storage unit and they said they would close the account, but they never did and I was charged an extra month even though unit was empty and I had done everything I was supposed to do.

Asst. Mgr. Mike Nardozzi was very helpful and great to deal with. He secured a double storage unit for us, near closing hours, when we showed back up with a loaded T 20 moving truck because the final destination was unexpectedly occupied, beyond our control on 7/29. We came back 8/4 to complete the move. Mike also stopped by to check to see if our unit was satisfactory and working out for us, on his way home from Washington Ave. store on 7/29. I would use this location again without hesitation. Merci.

exceptionally clean facility, including the restroom wheeled carts available at the entrance to assist with moving items very well lit, motion sensor lighting there's even an area to share gently used items that you no longer wish to keep with others who use the storage facility

This experience would have a higher rating except that 1) I wasn't told the unit wasn't pull up and that stairs were required to access it - until after the contract was signed. there is no lift or ramp in the facility; 2) Uhaul connected me with a moving team to help get the things up and told me they were booking them at a 2 hour slot, but that it would be prorated for the 30 min that i needed them for. When they arrived they said their was no prorate and that has never been the case. I asked the Uhaul office about this and they said that I have to call Moving Help to resolve. For a busy person, this is not ideal to have to chase this down and make sure the costs were as promised. I tried to call once but the wait time was long so will try again.

The staff at the Washington Blvd facility didn't have an idea of the processes there! When I had questions or wanted to close my contract they didn't know how to respond. They asked among themselves trying to find out how to do their job. Very disappointing experience.

Two staff couldn't find my online reservation and had to be processed as a walk-in; am concerned about double-billing. The first building access code provided did not work. The call button on the door did not work; had to go back to the other store to get help. The actual building has water-logged hallways and smells like a dead body.

The issue isn't whether or not the storage facility had enough light or if it was clean enough either my issue is I paid the cost $124 for the month which was due November 21st was only in there 1wk and what you chose to refund to me was $2,81 of that which was paid. POOR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U-Haul Moving and Storage on Washington Blvd is a hard working storage and truck rental business. The staff is on point and knowledgeable. The Eastside of Pittsburgh where this U-Haul store is located is in a very difficult area and neighborhood. Vince the Manager, Helen T. also know the area and how to deal with the residents and customers. Along with the rest of the crew the U-Haul on Washington Blvd is a valuable and necessary part of the community! I wouldn't trust my items for storage or truck rental to any place else! U-Haul Moving and Storage on Washington Blvd...You're the TOPS!!!!

The office wasn't open. I didn't know that the dolly wasn't placed in the rental truck prior to leaving. There was no way that I could get one during the hours that I moved. We had a hard time getting furniture into the storage unit as a result. The employees were friendly and professional. Ultimately we got everything done. It was not an easy task though.

The only issue I had was that the power happened to go out for 2 days making it difficult to move into the storage unit....but the manager was very understanding and gave me a discount on a second unit, so I am very satisfied with this location.

Don't get me wrong. I love U Haul and have been renting trucks from you guys for as long as i can remember. I do have to say, the storage rental experience with you guys was not a good one. First off I reserved an outside/drive up unit but upon arrival i was informed by the girl at the office that there were no more outside,drive up units available and was given an inside 2nd floor unit and was told this the only unit available. There is a set of 12-14 steps you had to climb to get to my unit. This was excruciating having to move a three bedroom house having to climb these stairs with home furniture. This facility should be equiped with ramps. You guys supplied carts but what's the use of carts when you have to climb a flight of steps. Long story short this made for a very long and strenuous moving day and another one on the move out. Install ramps guys PLEASE!!!

The U-Haul was over heating. Once I got to the drop off location I was assisted taking my car off the auto tow and my number ripped off. The storage was small and had bugs in the building.
