Pros: Friendly staff, state of the art facility, responsive customer service Cons: First time going to pick up a reserved truck (this was in Hanover) I was told the truck I reserved was not available, because it needed service. I rescheduled my reservation for the next Thursday (I had to take the day off this time). I showed up for the reservation and was told the truck I reserved was not available, as it had been returned lat the previous day. I was offered a smaller truck. I accepted it, as I needed to get my move done. I dropped the truck off and found out the next day I was charged for another day, as the clerk did not mention the mobile check-in. I was also charged for the larger truck size I had originally reserved, but did not get instead of the smaller size I was given. UHaul customer service straightened the problem out promptly. So - clear communication regarding procedures, and keeping a few extra trucks on-hand are things UHaul should work on.

My uboxes were moved from Weymouth to Abington and I was never notified. I was only aware because I placed an AirTag in each box so that I could track it. We had two major issues. First, somehow changing our warehouse location canceled the trailer reservation for my moving help and there were none available on my scheduled moving day. We had to push back a day and our movers had to drive further to pick a trailer up at a different location. This issue cost us an additional $275 in moving fees that Uhaul needs to reimburse us for. I would appreciate someone calling 801-493-5457 or emailing me at darian.g.roberts@gmail.com to resolve this. Second, one box was not scanned into Abington's system. Our movers were stuck waiting for them to find it and the Uhaul representative wanted me to just forget about the entire box and lose all of my items. Luckily I knew it was at the Abington warehouse because I could track it, so they searched again and found it in the warehouse. I don't know what would have happened if I didn't have a tracking device in the box.

So difficult to find, the building, find the truck, start the truck and log in everything rented it for two hours took me over an hour to do all that before i can even leave to go pick up my couch!

Great service. My only complaint was I moved out 2 days after prepaying for month, and when I called they said I still had to pay for the entire month.

My shipping location was changed from Weymouth to Abington and I was never notified. I was only aware because I had an AirTag inside of my Ubox. Otherwise myself and my moving helpers would not have known to go to Abington to pick up the boxes. The Abington warehouse also lost one box and only really searched for it after I confirmed several times that I could see it located in the warehouse with my AirTag. Very unprofessional and we had to pay our moving help an additional $275 because of the change in shipping location. Uhaul should reimburse us at least the $275 for all of these issues.

Good experience beginning to end. The only "improvement" I would suggest is to supply the truck with a full tank of gas - it's difficult to refill it to 3/4 of a tank. I also wish rental trucks had some features that have been available on cars for a long time, like backup / rear cameras and built-in GPS.

I was accidentally provided the vehicle transfer sheet - the vehicle I was provided was listed as “needs shop repairs”. The vehicle I was provided also did not have functioning AC (comfirmed by the representative at the drop-off location). The considerable damage already present on the vehicle was not a big deal, though I have no idea if it was safe. There was a fine coating of white dust in the storage portion, which covered most of my belongings. The vehicle I was provided should not have been rented out without shop repairs, A/C repairs, and a thorough cleaning.

This is not a complaint for the Abington location, but more for the U-Haul process. Why allow people to make a storage reservation when it doesn't guarantee anything. The employees at U-Haul helped me solve the issue, but U-Hauls website and customer service made me believe I had secured a storage unit. It did not even mention in the email that it's was just a request and not a guaranteed spot. That's unacceptable

I made a reservation and they did not have a truck for me and they did not seem to care. I use this location all the time and will now take my business to someone that cares .

My issue was with the reservation. My location was moved based on availability i was told online an associate would contact me to confirm location since equipment where i preferred was unavailable. I didn't not receive a phone call but instead a text after business hours so when trying to reach customer service was on hold for an hour and 5 minutes before my call “was dropped”. Called in the morning 4 times before pick up to inquire about a closer location all times told no, no matter me telling them how far it was, that if i didn't want that truck i would be cancelled all together. I also asked if i could return the truck to a closer location to me and was also told i could not. Before i dropped off the truck i called to complain about the mileage I would have to pay for and i was told unfortunately i had the option to decline the rental (which i didn't my things had to be moved by that day), and she couldn't help me. When i returned the truck next day i heard the gentleman ahead of me ask if he could return his rental to a closer location and was told sure we'll find the place closest to your zip code. I was livid what would have been a 5-7 mile relocation was actually an over 30 mile move that was none of my fault. It's like a rip-off. I'd rather hire movers. Although the location was clean and friendly my customer service on the reservation end was bad. There should be accommodations for people that have their reservations changed without their approval of locations that have to drive out of their way. Not be charged more than what their initial move would have been worth. From now on moving companies all the way.

The equipment was very clean but the truck had a severe wheel/axle bearing noise. I let them know upon return and they sent it right to the shop. Noah was excellent. Professional, Courteous and very informative.

The local UHAUL location is so much better to deal with than the call center ... SO MUCH BETTER ... the local location had equipment that the call center said they did not have .... a customer does NOT want to drive further than necessary to rent .... and uhaul should revise the "extending your rental" policy bc I did have to rent a larger closed trailer bc another customer extended their rental of the size trailer I wanted.

I received my invoice via email and there were couple of discrepancies. 1. Gas level was recorded incorrectly, which I have before and after pictures. 2. Recorded of milage is off by 1 mile which again I have a picture. Not a big issues but I still will stop by to get these issues fixed.

I've used uhaul many times. There always seems to only ever be one person at a location that is able to give accurate information. I've had so many inaccurate pieces of information given to me by staff who answer and seem to be guessing at the answer. I was also quoted one price and I got charged more than my quote.

I have been renting trailers from uhaul for over a decade, this last experience was by far the most conducive and enjoyable one yet. The Abington Mass location is staffed by the best people. It is hard to find good help and the manager should consider themself lucky. In particular Noah is a top shelf professional and a sincere gentleman, excellent qualities for the job. Thank you uhaul for doing what you do.

Stop calling people less than 24 hours and changing there original location for a truck. If I ordered in Abington I want Abington. Dont call me and say you have to go to brockton for my 20 foot truck. I live up the street from Abington and its convenient for me. Stop overbooking and next time bring the truck from brockton to Abington as I should not have to travel. Its your issue so fix it as I am the consumer.

I rented from you guys twice in the past month and you tried scamming me both times. You say there's more gas in the tank than there actually is when I pick it up and report less gas than there actually is when I return it. I absolutely believe it's intentional to rip people off. It's happened the last 3 times I rented from uhaul.

Uhaul needs better service and availability of equipment. Need more people on site. Only had one person which was unable to have equipment all setup for pickup, which further delayed my time. Also Uhaul should let equipment be dropped off at any Uhaul for customer convenience.

I called directly to the branch location to check on my trailer installation and got bumped to the reservation desk. NO Help...dropped my call! Called again...and again and could not get to the branch. Ended up Dropping my car off today with a rep at the Abington MA branch for the installation of trailer hitch and, after my wife and I were back on the road, received a call from the installer informing us NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE at the site of my reservation. Huge inconvenience! Because you already billed me for the hitch, I will have it installed (whenever it is finally delivered) but, I will NEVER recommend you again

I only wish you had a facility near where we moved. We would definitely continue to use U-haul storage if it was available in Plymouth, Ma. Your prices are reasonable compare to competitors but your amenities far exceed them.

My 11/25/21 move in experience was excellent! My attempted 11/24 experience was extremely frustrating! When I got to the unit I had previously reserved there was still a lock on it. Then I was told there were no other units that size; yet, that same night I was able to reserve a unit online and go in the next day and complete the move in process.

Not enough fground level units and no elevators makes storage in upper units much more difficult. Climate control is essential for winter storage here so options are few.

I was told to remove my property without being contacted. I was never called and never emailed. I had the number changed in the system twice and was still told the number was the same. It was inconvenient for me since I live in another state and had to figure it out and cost me a lot out of pocket to move.

The facility has storage options that involve the customer climbing a ladder for access this is silly, unsafe and not clearly explained in the website. The staff was very helpful but extremely slow to the point of annoyance. This was after I had pre registered online to save time. Staff advised me to get a certain type of lock but then did not have any in stock for purchase I had to buy a lesser lock and hope my things are safe. This experience led me to think the staff is poorly trained which is sad because training your staff is the easiest thing to do to avoid a bad customer experience

I have never been able to make my swipe card work. Therefore, every time I unlocked my storage unit, alarms sounded. I reported this issue to the office in at least 3 occasions but still, the alarms kept sounding.

We were a paying customer since the place opened. We were given 30 days notice to leave because UHaul wanted to use the space for other priorities. I didn't have any where else to store my vehicle. After talking to a woman in the office trying to see if there was anything that could be done, any other space on the property I could move to or if she had any suggestions of what to do or where to go, I pretty much got the cold shoulder and was told to vacate. She could have cared less. This place just doesn't care about good paying customers. I'll never do business with this facility for any storage or moving needs again.

I love this storage facility. Everything has always been clean, it's well lit and felt safe when I was there at night, and the loading area is convenient. Never had an issue with pests, water damage, or temp changes in the facility. Fully recommend to anyone looking for storage.

I rented a storage unit as well as a truck on two occasions. Facility is great. Easy accessibility and very secure. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Excellent service à la clientèle. I will definitely use this facility again.

The staff at the front wasn't very friendly and I felt like I was bothering her. I had never secured a storage unit before so I wasn't aware of the ins and outs and details of what comes into renting a place. I received bits and pieces of information and it was a bit frustrating. The manager was very helpful and I felt more comfortable asking him for help because he was more welcoming.

I have been a customer for over 2 years and pay automatically by credit card. My credit card got hacked and I brought over the new one which was added to my account, but old one was not deleted. Auto payment was declined on old card, so I was charged a late fee. Again, came to office and the desk staff deleted hacked card, it then accidentally deleted my account so had to set up a new one. I then paid for the month , but then got another late fee notice. In the meantime , every day I get 2 emails from you asking me to say why I left and how did I like being a new customer. Please train the staff to do a complete transaction when this occurs as this whole situation has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Edward McCarthy was a great help. This was my first experience with the company. I showed up early for the truck rental and Edward took good care of me. When I returned with a full truck, Edward once again walk me through the storage locker. Excellent service à la clientèle. I will be back for another truck rental soon. Thanks again Edward!

Person behind the desk was not wearing a mask even though I was right up at the counter and the other employee wasn't covering his nose. The maskless one was also walking around in the storage area with no mask. Not very considerate during a pandemic. I had never used storage here before and had to ask over and over how I got to the storage unit.

When I got to the storage unit at our end destination they did not have the unit I RESERVED and I had to pay more because they only had a bigger option that would be able to fit all our things.the smaller option was not suitable. I am not happy with that at all because we are paying over $70 more for a storage unit then we planned

What a mess. The alarm went off when I open ed the door. My card did not work. And so on 

I wasn't given clear instructions on how to enter the building so we set alarms off by mistake and they weren't shut off right away. We were impressed that the facility had alarms, a covered loading dock, carts, cameras, drinking fountains and bathrooms! We were disappointed that there wasn't an elevator or item lift for the upstairs units.

We were sent to the unit only to find a plastic tie holding it closed. When calling the Abington number, an out-of-state person finally answered and told me to go to the office. I was in the office for more than 5 minutes calling out for someone, but it was completely empty. I called again and got someone from Arizona, who said they must be helping someone elsewhere. I took a pair of scissors from the workstation and went to cut the tie. Also, the mattress cart was too small for our mattress (most are now more than 8 inches thick), and the loading area was literally a sheet of ice.

The customer service was excellent and the place was clean and clearly well maintained. The reason for the 3 star rating is because we got a 10x10x8 unit and there is a big I-beam toward the back right of the unit making it impossible for us to organize the unit the way we intended and not giving us the full amount of space we are paying for.

I would rate this as "excellent" or "above average" if not for the fact that I was unable to confirm my reservation on Tuesday or Wednesday for my Thursday move-in. The two people I was able to connect with (by phone) just transferred me elsewhere; one also said she would have her manager call me since she couldn't find the reservation. The manager never called. There was no problem when I arrived with my movers yesterday, and the clerk was helpful and professional - but I had some extra anxiety over those two days that I didn't need in the midst of moving from one state to another.
