Dear Uhaul, We have been a customer many times over the years, and this is the worst experience we have had. The customer service person told me that we could have our box delivered in the morning, and she helped me to schedule the movers the same day. When I spoke with the scheduler from Albany, he said no. The only time was between 9-4pm. I had the movers set up for the same day, and he told me I shouldn't do that. He further went on to accuse me of not answering my phone the day before when they called to let me know about the delivery (he did not leave a voice mail). It would be much less frustrating if the people who work for Uhaul are on the same page. We had to call the movers and change their time (thank God they were accomodating!) and then the box was delivered in the morning afterall. Just to be clear, the guys who delivered the box were great - very helpful and great communicators. I know Uhaul can do better - I hope this feedback is taken seriously and you do something about it for all of your other customers.

The only part of this UBox rental that worked with ease was the pick-up in NC. Once the box got to NY, every step was filled with rude and bullying customer service, cancellations, lack of communication about where the box was, when it would be delivered, etc. I will never use UHaul again. This experience was so bad that I will not even use the storage facility by my apartment because they are affiliated with UHaul - will drive to another one to avoid this company.

I was told they would call ahead to tell me when they would drop off and they came first thing in the morning with no phone call. Just a little notice would have been good then I would have had my car out of the way.

Reserved a 26' truck when I showed up they had none so they sent me to another location without calling the other location who also didn't have it. Also would not allow me to use the fright elevator to empty two 15' storage bins. They really sucked.

My only criticism is the uhaul website when booking the trailer. You have to watch closely what the final trailer is for the booking. At some point in the process the car hauler was swapped for the toy hauler that i wanted. Then when I showed up, the toy hauler was not available and had to drive 30 minutes to the next location that had one. It all worked out for me, but was very inconvenient.

The guys at Menands were great. My reservation was originally set up at the Cohoes location but no one there could help with the accessories needed to tow the motorcycle trailer I rented. They had no manager on site and it was frustrating. My reservation had to be moved. Thankfully it was to Menands.

I scheduled a U-Box to be shipped from Phoenix, AZ to Bennington, VT. When I arrived in Vermont, I was shocked to find out that my belongings were not in Bennington at all-they had been sent to Albany, NY. I was then told U-Haul couldn't ship it to Bennington unless I paid $500 for them to do it themselves, or I could rent a truck and move it myself for $120. I chose to rent the truck to save money, even though it was an extra burden on me. When I went to Albany to pick up my things, they hadn't even put the U-Box out for me. This meant another wasted trip and another night of waiting. I had to drive all the way back to Vermont and then return to Albany the next day just to finally get my belongings. After I finally got everything loaded and drove back, I ended up going over the truck's mileage limit and was charged extra fees for that, too. This whole experience was chaotic, exhausting, and incredibly frustrating. • I was misled about where my items would be delivered. • I was forced to pay extra money and do the work myself just to get my own belongings. • U-Haul failed to have my U-Box ready at the promised time. • In the end, I was charged even more because of mileage overages caused by their mistakes. I trusted U-Haul with a cross-country move, and they completely let me down at every step. I will NEVER use U-Haul again and will warn others to avoid going through what I went through. So disappointed.

The agent worked me which I greatly appreciate when the tow behind i couldnt rent due to electrical issues. She was patient and offered me a van instead. Made my moving day not so stressful.

Overall the facility was very clean and well kept. We did notice mouse activity but not specifically in our unit. However, this comes with the territory, especially with the older building and it was at least nice to see the bait boxes in the units and hallways for pest control. Overall the facility was very clean and the deal of a free month with a truck rental helped us immensely having the extra space to store things before we moved from our house since we had to sell before we could purchase. Overall the staff were very helpful and the entire process of renting the unit was efficient and easy with the self service.

There was a 7,5-hour delay in the delivery time, which cost me assistance with moving. After they finally arrived, one box had a bolt in it that I had to wait an additional 2 hours for someone to return with the proper tool to open the container. Another box was damaged externally, and I had to drive to the facility to unlock it so it could be reloaded into a new container. There was nothing "gentle" about this ride.

Start by fixing the seat belt height adjustment. Stop the bait and switch when a reservation cannot be filled. Costs me an extra hundred bucks and all your people can do is tell me to call someone else.

Online doesn't give clear instructions on how to access the facility. I didn't know I had to punch code in on both keypads to gain access. Other than that my experience has been great. Also, I came in the next morning to switch to a bigger unit and Trey was very helpful.

I rented a cargo trailer to help my daughter move. We added moving blankets to our rental, which we never received. I asked to rent a hand truck and was told they didn't have one available. I asked to rent a dolly instead and was told they didn't have one available. For a company that calls itself "Your moving and storage resource." they were not very resourceful. Both staff members that helped me were friendly and helpful, but they can't rent what's not available.

Make sure there is no liquid in the truck. Make sure you give the correct lockbox and correct combination and correct keys. Don't make your customers wait extra time. Send a notification email about where to drop it off. Nowhere in the process did it say where to drop it off today until after I was unfairly charged the amount. I was only given an email today about where to pick it up.

I had plenty of furniture pads (maybe a few too many but that's a non issue lol). Everything went smoothly. The Tennessee branch was especially good. They gave me very accurate times for pickup and drop-off. Jamie who delivered the u-box was especially helpful, friendly, communicative, and professional. I would recommend u-boxes to others!

I was assigned storage unit # 2099 which was free for 30 days, with a truck rental. My family and I placed items in the storage unit after office hours and noticed the handle of said storage unit was dangling because it was missing a screw; and I took video in order to show the staff. I eventually reported the missing screw to Sheila, a staff member of that location, who notated my account. I followed up with the manager, Requan who stated he notified maintenance staff to get the handle repaired; I wasn't even offered another storage unit. On Friday July 4th, a family member was at the storage unit removing some items and saw a mouse running in the unit, and said there were droppings on our storage bins and a bag of clothes was chewed through, and eventually disposed of. The storage handle not being secure didn't not help this situation! I called the office and spoke to Sheila letting her know we would be removing all of our items from storage unit 2099, and Sheila stated we could file a claim for any damages. On Sunday July 6th, I went to the storage facility to retrieve my lock, to speak with the manager about filing a claim and to let him know I vacated the storage unit on July 4th. The manager told me he couldn't close out my storage unit until he filed the claim for me. On Thursday July 17th, I received a bill via email for rent owed on storage unit 2099, due on July 24th. I had to call customer service to get this resolved because I couldn't reach anyone at the store. A customer service representative contacted the store manager who said he filed a claim for damages stemming from the rodent activity but he had not yet closed the storage unit out. I told the customer service representative that I was requesting a close out receipt sent via email and a call from the manager. The manager called and apologized for the oversight and sent me a close out receipt. My only question is, if a claim was truly filed how come I haven't heard from the insurance company yet.

ReQuan is great and easy to deal with. The place was always clean, well-lit, and easy to access. There is definitely a mouse problem. The handicapped-accessible units have a gap between the door and the floor, and whenever I saw mice running back and forth across the hallways, it was always from one handicapped-accessible unit to another. (The mice also get into the regular units, but they must be coming down from above.)

There were mice dropping in my unit. I also rented a van. Made it very clear that I was going to New Jersey. Employees should ask if the van will be dropped off at the same location or a different location. That is a very important factor You don't ask the mileage that will be driven . I tell you idk know and you say well I'm just going to put 10 miles. I made it very clear that I was closing out my account with U haul as well that very same day, because I knew I was Not coming back to that location. There was no reason to. I made it very clear that I was going to New Jersey. The young man who reserved the van that day had poor customer service skills. Miscommunication played a big part in this situation. You have to be a people's person in order to deal with and communication with customers.

I have stored things at this facility, rented trucks from there and every time I interact with the staff or work with the team there they're absolutely wonderful. Helpful, courteous, efficient, it is always clean. Clearly displays great leadership and a wonderful team!

There is a mice infestation. I had feces all over and in my stuff. I've been there since December of 22. My belongings were extremely dusty. I moved out 3 weeks early and was told there wouldn't be a prorated refund. The monthly rate goes up every year.

There is a rodent infestation. I noticed rodent feces in my storage unit hallway, noticed feces in my unit as I closed it out, seen rats scurry throughout the hallways into different people storage units. Also witnessed countless dead rodents within the facility. Very dusty in my storage unit despite me cleaning it up. Overall needs better cleaning maintenance and a rodent control with chemicals or get a proper pest control worker to neutralize the warehouse.

The room was filled with mice feces, (we have photos). We had to throw a lot of belongings out due to it. It was very disgusting. I let the staff know over the phone and I was told to make a manager aware and we possible wouldn't be charged to discard the stuff in U-Haul's dumpster; usual it is $10.00.

Only issue I had was when unloading my property to my rental unit..There were workers that had parked their vehicles in customer space and also one one workers had a dof with them..therefore I was not unable to unload due to.no fault of mine..I would been charged for an extra day.. Not very happy or satisfied with the service I received at this facility at all.... I was locked out of my storage room on Sunday 8/25 when I already made my payment and was all caught up, then Tuesday 8/27 I returned to the unit and was finally let in I seen the worse thing no customer would ever want to see and rats were nesting in "MY THINGS!!!..." This was the worst experience EVER AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS STORAGE EVER!!!! I took pictures and will definitely be posting them along with my experience to let everyone know now to rent from y'all because y'all have rodent problems and it doesn't even end there after taking my stuff home there were rats in my belongings and I have about to mice in my freaking apartment .... I am so disappointed with this location and what I have to go through on top of that I had to leave some of my kids things behind because it had rat feces all over them so now my kids lost some of their toys and gained a nasty rat in their home..... The only good thing about this location was Flor the sales rep who helped me out so very much by checking on me constantly after I told her what was going on but besides that I would never recommend anyone to this "NASTY" location "EVER...."

I would recommend it to somebody if they were just going to put their items in there and if they had help doing it. just leaving it there until they were going to move it somewhere else like into a home or something. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. They would have to find out what place is better for them in regards to pricing can the pace places it very well air conditioned. And if you're moving items from one place to the other always recommend a truck and not a van.

My rating has nothing to do with the Staff they are amazing friendly and great! The Manager Angelina is amazing and kind. I just experienced something which I am sure does not happen often. But I am grateful that I was able to store and keep my things in the unit while I was in transition. They worked with me and they were patient!

The ghetto of some of the workers is unacceptable. I got the wrong size unit I need a larger one and that's not easy to fix. Also KFC across the street poor. Also you're very busy at times and we can't get in to talk to you in person. The place is very redneck meaning it's really for truckers and it was actually originally delivery building where truckers would drop off whatever they have. I wouldn't say it's very consumer friendly it's a humongous building. I have to try and make an appointment to change my unit size which is extremely little compared to what I have to bring. Vans high powered too high-powered and I can understand a truck being that powerful but those vans are powerful altho fuel efficient enough. I did not end up liking to drive the uhaul. It wasn't easy to put items in and take items out of the van altho cheaper than a uhaul moving truck an no dumpsters.building overly warm. Good recycling if a building.

The door to the storage unit unit got stuck in it took over 20 minutes trying to figure out how to close it. The latch was also hard, and it seemed like it was broke, and it was hard for me to put the lock on.

The hours are good and I liked being able to swipe my card when entering and exiting however the facility could be a little cleaner. It is very dust if you store your things inside and rodents may pee or poop on your stuff. The staff are friendly and helpful so that's a plus. And the place should definitely have a dumpster on the property. I had to take my broken/soiled items and broken boxes with me and find a local dumpster to get rid of my unwanted property.

They have a SERIOUS AND NASTY bug and mice ( maybe even rat) problem. All my things got damaged because of pee and poop and I have pictures to prove it. It was absolutely disgusting and it looked like my unit was their hub when I also didn't have any food in my unit. Staff was so help at all and I was paying my monthly unit to basically have my stuff slept, peed, pooped, and eaten my nasty bugs, mice & rats. The staff always had an attitude with any issue or concern I brought to them or even if I didn't have an issue or concern.

Mike Daily is truly a model manager who goes above and beyond to assure customer satisfaction. U-Haul is very fortunate to have someone of this level. I'd actually suggest his consideration for employee of the year designation if your company provides such opportunities for recognition.

The storage facility was extremely hot. The handheld map to use to find my unite was hard to read. There were no interior number plaquet on the wall to add in findingy unit. I paid for the month but never moved in.

My unit was infested with mice. They were all in my things, and I ended up bringing one home. I am completely disgusted and the owner says he cannot do anything because he didn't see it but I was told by an employee that there was a unit in my row that had food and garbage in the unit and that's where it came from. Owner refuses to do anything to compensate me for this inconvenience. I did not have insurance because who expects there to be mice infestation in a storage facility!!! I would never stairs my things here ever again !!!

There were dead mice in a few isles close to ours and upon emptying the units we had some chewed boxes and mouse poo in a corner. Need to work on preventing mice a bit better. Although knowing it's not able to be prevented 100 %. Need more mouse boxes not just around the perimeter of inside. Should be in isles also

Great 1st experience at climate controlled inside self storage. Facility is newly converted to self storage and is huge, spacious & incredibly convenient. Has the look & feel of a modern day loft conversion of a historic building. Great location with a gas station/convenience store across the street and expressway on/off ramps at the corner stop light.

Occasionally, the loading bay garage doors would not open. We also had a terrible experience where someone let themselves in through the garage door and ignored our demands they swipe their access card at the entrance door. That made us feel very unsafe and we called the police to investigate. Otherwise the facilities were well designed and easy to use with indoor loading bay area and nearby access to our unit.

We had a great experience with this storage facility until like the last month or two. When we discovered they were doing construction in the building and all of our stuff was cover in a thick dust layer. When moving out we noticed so many mouse droppings as well. Other than this we found the staff to be very nice and helpful.

My stuff was covered in dirt from them doing work in the building also smelled like gas real bad no one covered the tops of the units to protect are things from being ruined Manager was very rude

I just had bad customer service experiences with the same guy the times I spoke with him since he was rude, didn't know how to use the computer, etc. But in general, excellent service.

At first I was annoyed because I changed my pick up te with the customer service lady and she put a note in that I called to update the pick up time but then she cancelled my order. It ended up being fine and working out better though because I ended up getting a bigger truck and a bigger unit for half the price that the customer service rep was gonna give me. So my experience was great the workers were amazing and pretty fast.

This location in Menades was great, the staff from the front desk assistant to the Managers we're very helpful, thoughtful and courteous. You felt very greatly Respected and appreciated as a customer. Staff at the other location in Albany was disrespectful, very Rude and talked down to you. Let me explain I Rented a truck from them for my move out mistaking thinking this was your location. We needed to rent 2 trucks bc it was a whole house move out. My Son Rented the biggest truck I had ever seen. I went in person to rent mine and the Female was complaining about being tired already. I had to get the truck by 8 so I had been up since 6:30, I was already stressed and she became annoyed and impatient bc I could not find the reservation on my phone. I had made an online payment so the cost should be taken off the current cost owed. My family and I was so stressed and rushed to move we did not need this treatment from people who are supposed to be so helpful. So when they asked for a return time for Saturday we were unsure bc we worked into midnight doing so. I'm so glad and happy I didn't rent my storage space from them. When I called at 7:00 Saturday morning to asked them for more time. The Guy this time was extremely extremely rude and argumentative, yelling at me saying you know you should have been more accurate with your time bc of you another family can't move and you have to pay for a whole day. I said fine bc we're were not finished. They also charged my for a utility dolly I never received for the move out. When I move again, I will give all my business to the Menards Facility, they also were having a special, Rent a truck and Storage you get the 1st month free. We had absolutely not problems or issues with them. I commend them all for Their Customer Service.

Two employees really helped me out of a jam near closing hours. They were able to find a solution and were very kind to do so even when they didn't need to.

Yes I would tell a friend, in fact there are 7 of us renting u it's at this same location!!! The 2 staff members Kevin and I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she is Kevin's wife , they really went above and beyond exceeding my expectations!!! I look for them every time I go in now!!

Annoying the remove access if you are late on one payment …. But my biggest annoyance is went I rented the uhaul…. I expected it to take like 4 hrs…. But they charged me double/twice because I returned it a few hours late that same day…. ( nbd IF they told me that would happen… or suggested to rent for entire day… for same price…..) but they did not. 路‍♂️. Scam I'd say
