My experience with U-Haul was very pleasant the clerks were very friendly and professional everything was clean and we had a excellent moving experience I will recommend it to all my friends for the great service
I have no comments. My experience was very professional. When I could not find my storage space, I called and was immediately taken care of.

I am very pleased about the Philadelphia Allegheny West facility and the friendly and helpful staff members, who are also patient, hardworking, and attentive to every customer's needs. Yes, I would recommend this site to anyone, but leave some room for me, if I should ever need them again, lol!
You should rent the trailer hitch, but instead, I was charged $450 to install.... I have no need for it.... You hit someone in the pocket , while they stress a move already....This is JUST WRONG.
U guys over charged me, 1360 dollars when my bill should have been 66 dollars and i haven't got a cal back or got my money back yet! This is not right and they need more workers to help out. 1 person can't do everything. This is the most horrible experience i ever had.
Why am I getting charged for something I didn't even rent in December, 2020?
There is no concern with the facility. However each time I have come to the location, it always appears understaffed. Wait times are long, and what should be a seamless process especially when you have a reservation takes an extended period of time.
Poor Staff Cheating and Dishonesty Didn't had the truck I ordered and then tried to just abuse my need for a truck. Still waiting for $50 reservation fee Cleaning fee charged for a clean truck (without telling or communicating anything), the truck went out again within minutes (without cleaning!)

There is no improvement to be made. After being service in other uhaul installation except the location at 52nd Lancaster Ave. This location at Huntington Park is exceptional. They will continue to receive my business and the business of my friends and family.
I went through three changes trying to get assigned to a unit. I was assigned then reassigned then assigned again. Then I was called 2 Days Later to reassign again and I was told to come in and told to move my stuff to another unit upon which I refuse to move everything because I felt it was the responsibility of whoever was managing to move it for me because they were not assigning effectively it was not my responsibility to come to move. This was a harrowing experience.
Truck was filled with small rubble, which was swept out by the agent. Otherwise, the rental went well and the agent was friendly and efficient.
I had to return the truck by 8 am on a Sunday. They open at 9 am on Sundays, so I had to use the dropbox. I saw no staff to assist and had my son go online and complete the return.
We've used this location for storage facilities and also truck rentals over the years, and it's our favorite location across multiple states. The facilities are convenient, but the staff are really fantastic — super helpful and friendly and professional.
Employees not really trained in how to use equipment
It was perfect
The person helping me had no idea what he was doing. He cost me an extra $100.00 trying to figure out what to do instead of asking for help. My movers charge. $124.00 an hour. It was horrible.

William at Allegheny West location was super helpful throughout the process. Showed my roommate and I how to check in and out properly and helped let us view the storage unit. Awesome job!
My debit card was held and no one told me in advance so that would happen. Now I can't access my funds to pay my rent

Oh my, where do I start. No one notify me by email or text that my reservation had been cancelled for that evening. When, arrived again the next morning the vehicle was not cleaned, the driver's mirror was cracked and the truck gas tank was on E. The truck should have been sparkling clean, filled up or least a half of tank.
The truck was clean but was very foul smelling.

The service agent Robb did an excellent job working inside and outside by himself. Even better service could have been provided by having another agent. Also I felt diminished as a customer, it appears that as long I was coming into that facility as a customer, I was valued. But as a regular person walking past the facility there was no concern for my well being. The sidewalks were not shoveled nor salted. I walked to that facility that morning. I was surprised that the sidewalk wasn't maintained but the area for the trucks to come in and out was maintained. So my thanks to Robb even though being by himself with three(3) customers at once, he held it down.
They forced me to return my rental truck to the same location even though I moved 25 miles away into a different county. This caused me to have to spend an extra $65 and I am very unhappy about that.

Worst customer service ever this place is so ghetto . I return my truck at 12:30 and I'm still waiting for my final bill something is not right here at this location. I think they r giving a way truck to there friends for cash
Fantastic storage facility that's convenient, secure, well-maintained and clean.
I was assigned a locker on the third floor that had no card access so I was never able to reach my things till the office was open I complained and nothing was done so I moved my things out the storage unit!
The process was confusing, I ended up paying double, I’m still unclear about so much. I was told one thing while setting up storage and I got there and a totally different process took place. You guys are lucky I’m not in the position to switch companies at the moment but I definitely will as soon as I can you guys were horrendous.

John was a great help to me today! He was friendly, he actually helped us understand the equipment and he was attentive. The other staff were not as customer friendly.
Staff were always accommodating, polite and knowledgeable. The facility was usually clean except when people left their belongings out, which was not often.
STAFF Was very KNOWLEDGEABLE And HELPFUL and Courteous I would recommend having a dumpster available to discard large amounts of trash.
The customer representative young man with little braids were extremely helpful and demanding why my truck that I made reservations was not able. He remain claim & respectful to me although I was extremely up set . He made sure he compensate me with another truck and apologize fir whom took me my reservation out the system and started a didn't requested for 27†which I had proof for both days a 27†truck reservedvvonfirnation number sent yo me for 11/072020 & 11/08/2020
It was initially a very intense and stressful experience. Mr Brandon and Mr Simmons helped alleviate some of my worries. I appreciate them and hopefully my belongings will arrive at it's final Georgia destination.
It was great right up until the end. I wanted to rent a truck to move out my things. Although my driver's license was renewed and unexpired, due to Covid I only had the paper license showing the renewal and 2024 expiration date. PA allows the paper to be carried with the old photo license to show proof of id. This, however, was not accepted by the manager to rent a truck and he offered no other solution to rent a truck. Despite paying $200/month to Uhaul via auto pay for more than 2 years, I could not rent a truck from UHaul to move my property. Uhaul's shortsightened response to my situation forced me to make other arrangements to move my property.
In business this location play dirty, emptied my unit and book a truck to take to my location they never closed the unit out. Also some of my belongings were damaged while in the storage unit... How???a MYSTERY
If you are going to allow customers to drop off vehicles outside of store hours, it would be nice to have access to the drop off area. The gate and storage area was inaccessible and after about an hour on the phone and driving around the property too many times, I was told to put the key in a ziplock bag and toss it over the 14ft barbed wire gate. A waste of my time.

I was contacted a couple weeks after moving my belongings In that there wasn’t a lock on my unit. After a brief conversation I told her that the number on the contract wasn’t the number she was suggesting was mine. Every week after they would call me and say the same thing and I would keep explaining to them I have the contract right in front of me.
It was my first time renting and I didn’t know what I was doing but it all worked out.

One of the u boxes finally make it 22 days later then the original delivery date! Now the billing is incorrect and NO ONE at Uhaul can help. The one thing U haul did right was swipe my credit card! Can someone PLEASE help!!!!
The reservation print out should match the actual location. Placing a message in small print that the location is subject to change is not enough. You ask about receiving a text alert so the location change notice should be sent by text or by phone.
This was my first time there no one escorted me or show me how to work anything upstairs they showed me about the cards when you get in the building on the elevator all that no one came to the storage unit per say I couldn't get in the storage unit then she gave me another unit on another floor I couldn't get up to the floor cuz you never gave me your number card it was a whole message depressed me and I had to stay there for almost 3 hours with someone for it to come to y'all is it y'all policy to show them what they getting out of work it Etc
its a clean storage place and secure your stuff is safe and the staff do a great job speaking and showing the storage so if you need your stuff safe take it to the storage where its safeand the good part they work with you with the pricing. My stuff are safe in the storage have a great day.....

I had a wonderful experience with staff the customer service rep that I dealt with was named Dominique Hood she was absolutely fabulous and because of her I bought the unit please make sure that she she is rewarded for her customer service skills I would refer anybody to her as well as your company thank you
It is only $9.20 but I disputed this and was told I would be contacted regarding it and I never was and was charged. I stopped to get the gas before returning the truck. I filled it to exactly the amount I received it at and still got charged. I feel like i was nickle and dimed here and that was unfair
Better directions to location
Would have preferred to pick up the truck at the closer location to me but was not given that option. I made the reservation at the location closer to me.
You can offer frequent customer incentives, like 20% off the next time I use U-Haul. I would most likely use a 20% off coupon, then to ask someone can I use their Ford F150, to move furniture. Most times people (like me) do not want to use their automobile to haul large items on top of the car. Thank you for your prompt services, I was in a bind that day and U-Haul came through. Also the customer services at 2801 Hunting Park was outstanding!!!
The truck was making loud noise when you accelerate and hesitant to move . I had better trucks from uhauls and that one was the worst .
Not only was this the worst experience I've ever encountered but the staff was just...unable? I'm not sure how else to put it. My reservation was set for 6am on Friday 9/25. I tried using the automated system to pickup my equipment and I can understand that the automated system has its flaws which is why it took some time to confirm who I was, etc. even the individual from customer support was very helpful and for that I'm thankful..but..the employees at the specific location were AWFUL. They (Man and woman) arrived around 6:30 (at this point I still hadn't had my approval) and when I went to ask them a question the first thing that was even said to me and by the male employee was, “we don't open until 7â€. When I replied, “but my reservation is for 6†the response I got was, literally, laughter in my face. Finally, when I did get my approval some 45 minutes later I was following the instructions to retrieve the key in some sort of lockbox and when I went to go snag the male employee started walking over to me while saying loudly “I told you we don't open until 7â€. Maybe he was trying to intimidate me? I honestly didn't have the time or patience to do with that at the time so I ignored him and went about my business. I was there for a reason and arrogance is something I frankly, couldn't care less about in the moment. Now, I'm a very level headed individual. I like to assess things from all sides but the sheer ignorance and arrogance from those two employees will absolutely make me an anti-U-Haul customer for life. I will NEVER use U-Haul again because of two employees at the Allegheny West location. I am a business man, and the sheer lack of, anything, will cause my stomach to turn over at even the sight of that location. I won't even get into the things I saw when returning my equipment but to whomever is reading this, please, make some changes over there. It's shameful.
The truck was shaky and when I came to buy boxes the employees were not helpful at all...the day I picked up my truck the mgr was there and u can see a difference in attitude among the staff

I have rented from you 50+ times, my account should be verified enough for me to not wait for verification of my rental agreement. All my documents are updated but your system makes me wait. I finally had to go into office to rent, which is a waste of time

Those guys at the Hunting Park store are the best, they are all awesome from Brandon on down. Before them there were none, after them, there won't be anymore.
Was given a damaged cargo van. Which resulted in closing of a back door and the glass breaking. It was bound to happen. And it happened to me. Fix your shit before you rent your vehicles. This was a first for me. And next time I will inspect. Seems like people who get paid are not doing their job. Was charged $150. I would like tht back.

Make sure customer starts truck before leaving for the day. Had trouble with the key several times trying to start up. Staff acknowledged problem when I turned in truck rental. Because the 1st u-haul location had problems ( precious customer was several hours late... I was sent to this new location). I felt bad to have to cut in line because my truck wouldn't start, but I had 1.15 minutes to go cross town for a pick-up at 6pm ... it was 4:45 when I left. I also had to purchase gas on the way... tank wS slightly Bove empty.

Peaceful end to a rough start. Brandon, personally was a great help to me and my family.
The office hours are convenient but there was not nearly enough staff to run the busy days like Saturdays. Although I had rented a 6th floor unit online, there were none available when I got there. The manager gave me a unit # for a 6th floor unit, but when I came back with the movers a few hours later, that unit had a lock on it. The office was extremely busy and it was difficult to get attention to the issue that I had no place to move in. William was able to find an open unit on the 5th floor and helped the movers get access to both the 6th and 5th floors since now they needed to bring full carts from the 6th floor to the 5th floor. With the busy office, the moving of floors and the overall confusion about the unit I ended up using and paying the movers for at least another hour. Additionally, that morning when I picked up the 15’ truck the manager had told my to avoid the waterlogged bay and drive through the garage door. However, when I tried to do that the clearance of the 15’ truck was too high. The manager who rented me the truck should have known that.

There was only one instance while there and I was informed immediately. I did incur some damage but was compensated for it. Overall and other than that it served the purposes I needed it for.
First: the staff was great, friendly, and very helpful. The card I was assigned to get access into the building didn’t work. After numerous of failed attempts, I was given another access card, didn’t work. Staff member enter their code so I can get access. I gather my belongings and go to the unit, it was locked. I had to wait for team member to remove the lock. Face to Face with team members: Great! Overall Logistics of the Building/Access: Failed!
Staff was & still are very unprofessional & hostel towards patrons , there loud & unruly . I’ve cancelled my contract with u-haul because of this
I moved from NYC to philly so I emptied my storage unit in NYC and wanted to transfer my stuff to this facility. After making my reservation online- I called the facility to discuss office and access hours given I would be arriving in Philadelphia later in the evening- the person who answered the phone hung up on me 3 times mid conversation. She also did not offer me to try to set up 24 hour access by paying $10 extra and told me “don’t show up here before 9.” I thought that was unprofessional. When I got to the facility at 9am I had to wait 2 hours in line prior to getting my storage unit. Very disappointing. I had to return the U-Haul Trailer I had rented and due to the wait my time went over and I had to pay another days worth of rental costs. Overall I thought the communication was poor and customer service lacked professionalism. Although the young lady that helped me at the counter when my turn finally came was very nice.
first time using a self storage facility everything concerning my move in went smoothly no problems employees very helpful.
Brandon and his staff were truly accommodating and made my experience of renting a truck and storage facility a good one. They explained all the charges, there were no surprises. I was frustrated with UHaul and vowed to NEVER use them, but Brandon reversed my mind about UHaul. I guess not all UHaul’s are the same. Thank you Brandon, keep on providing great customer service, keeping your facility clean and before long, you and your team and your facility ONLY will be the best one in the nation!

Everything went well during the time I utilized the storage facility. The only issue was upon my arrival to my destination with the items I kept in storage I noticed dead roaches and live roaches on my belongings. This was disturbing as I had to get my new place sprayed before I could continue.
The facility itself was ok with the exception of the fact that we were never told that there would be a huge pillar that occupied a large majority of our space. Also when we tried to cancel when we called the gentleman left us on hold for 40 minutes. Then when I called back he said he would look at our storage and make sure it was cleaned and call back in five minutes. He never did he also said we'd get a full refund bc it was the day we cancelled was the day we were charged and I never heard back from him I had to call my bank to figure the charge and ensure the cancellation. Horrible horrible customer service
I had 2 U-boxes and 1 Storage Unit at U-Haul of Allegheny West. My experience with everyone at this facility was extremely pleasant. All were accommodating, very helpful and friendly. I was particularly impressed with how the office personnel managed a busy time, efficiently handling each customer's needs in a positive, competent manner. If they did not know the answer to a question, they were happy to do the necessary work to find out. I have dealt with many U-Haul facilities (West and East coast) and Allegheny West has been the best! Thank You

The unit was great and kept my belongings safe and dry. I met 2 employees that were wonderful (can't remember their names, but wish I could). Everyone else seemed lazy and completely uncaring.
Had to call 4 times to refuse a charge based on a vacant unit I had cancelled, this unit was then rented out to someone else and I was charged for it, this is fraud and theft, staff was very rude

This storage place is spacious, clean, professional and helpful.. The prices are good but insurance is high. $55 for smallest unit to $71 after insurance is high. I hope the insurance rates go down.

The customer service From Brandon Donavon was poor. Both delivery to my house and the pickup from my house were late. Lacks phone educate. Perhaps a class in developing customer service skills.
Workers did not want to do any work until a manager was on site. Employees were rude, short tempered and overall negative
The movers were great. The only thing bringing this grade down a bit was that the architecture of the building has several columns where getting a true 10' room is difficult.

Brandon at the front desk was an absolute professional. He was working the very busy desk by himself, and went above and beyond to make sure each and every customer was happy. He deserves a raise.

The experience with the UBox was a nightmare. I scheduled the delivery of the box in advance and called the day prior to confirm. Despite that, box didn’t come and no one knew where it was.Never again

I had a storage unit and moved out before the due date payment. But, my unit still had the lock on there that I forgot to take off. Now they are charging me for the monthly fee; the unit is empty!!!!

Yeah it was an excellent place to store my belongings and I would recommend anybody to store their belongings there.
