When you go to fill up the vehicle, make sure you are very keen on watching how much fuel you are putting in. If you don't fill it to where you got it, they charge you an arm and a leg. But, if you get side tracked and WAY overfill it, that is on you. Heads they win, tails you lose.

The 10 ft truck I rented had a leak in the cab. When I picked it up, the inside of the windshield was soaked. It rained when I had it and there were puddles inside. The windows were closed.

Everything was fine except the gas meter was not at half tank when I received the rental (it was a bit under half), so I ended up adding more gas than I used. I still had to fill it back up to half and was told they do not reimburse for gas...

Rental process and return was handled without any problems. My only complaint is the tiny 10 ft van, barely loaded with furniture, consumed over 6 gallons of gas in 44 miles used and the truck was driven with trying to save fuel in mind. Seems they could provide trucks with better fuel efficiency.

This bit with the corporate/national UHaul screwing up the phone lines to the Brunswick locationâ€" and letting people hear a phone systems message that the line is no longer in service â€" is utterly unacceptable! I am aware of the problem going on for at least three weeks! UHaul HQ needs to fix that problem immediately and offer some compensation to the Brunswick shop for all the business that was lost or redirected as a result. I personally ended up renting a truck from the Auburn location when I heard that Brunswick was suddenly unavailable: that's the kind of message you get when a company suddenly goes out of business, for heaven's sake! I personally had to spend 3 extra hours and about 180 $extra to navigate the inconvenience of renting in Auburn (where there is no longer any public transportation). The corporate UHaul organization needs to recognize that this kind of blunder us absurd and totally unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to continue!

The two men we dealt with at the Brunswick facility (Derrick and Daniel)were professional and guaranteed us that we would have a van. We even went to the facility the week before to confirm. We arrived 20 minutes after the booking time of 9:00am and Daniel told us that there was no guarantee that we would have the van if we showed up late and that if someone else walked in and wanted a van, that they could have the one we reserved, fortunately, the van we reserved was still available. We were never told that this was the case! Could you please let customers know that even if they have reserved a vehicle that if they don't show up at EXACTLY the time that they've reserved the vehicle that there is no guarantee that they would have it? Other than this scare, we were please with the vehicle.

This comment is not directed at the drop off location. I had reservations for a truck and car hauler in VT. The DAY PRIOR to my pick up I was notified the closest hauler was in MA. This is not acceptable!!!! Why am I able to make a reservation if the equipment is not going to be available? I had taken time off from work, my wife had taken time off from work, AND we pulled our kid out of school based on reservations U-Haul had made with me but could not honor. This will cost me hundreds of dollars as I wasn't able to pick up my auto and will need to schedule that for another time. This trip was planned to pick up the auto along with another item which I needed the truck for. Now I will need to rent a truck and hauler again for the auto when I could have combined the trip and costs in one trip. This is not an acceptable way to do business!!!!

There were part availability issues (not uhaul's fault, I understand) but also communication issues throughout the process of making this installation happen. I had to go way above and beyond to work for communication for 2 months and even switch from my original location to get the installation to happen. The friendly helpfulness of the employees who did eventually help me and get the hitch installed was noteworthy and much appreciated. But I felt that I had to take a far too active roll in hunting down communication than I should have had to and was not happy with the lack of communication efforts and updates through most of the process. It was extremely stressful, and hard to keep the ball rolling. Seems to be not so much a problem with the existing employees, who appeared to be doing all they could, but rather a problem of not enough employees. There doesn't seem to be anything specifically wrong with this facility, but will not be going out of my way to use uhaul in general for hitch installation in the future.

Had issues with non renters gaining access after hours by trying to pull into 'garage' area, also, someone had been accessing my storages when I was not there, and guy with uhaul shirt went into a different unit one visit, he set off alarm and he shut and locked the door and boogied down hallway (not sure if just posing as employee?)-which does not give security a high rating. Employees were very helpful and accommodating though, which I do appreciate, and areas well maintained. Thank you for helping me through a rough time.

Great experience using U-Haul's Arrow Heart store. The team there are good people and the rental process was quick & efficient, not least because I pre-ordered via the website. However, there was one significant issue that needs attention.. Location appears to be understaffed, so callers â€" apparently, per some kind of STUPID corporate policy?? â€" regularly get a, 'The number you dialed is not in service' message....in other words, it sounds like they've gone out of business. This is the CRAZIEST example of silly, wrongheaded corporate governance I've ever seen or heard of and comes across even worse in direct experience. Look, I know this is a tough time for big companies to maintain adequate staffing (both due to the pandemic and a long-standing reliance on CHEAPSKATE HIRING PRACTICES), but it's a mess. FIX THIS. Enterprise rents vans, too, y'know? . . .

Glad I was able to get a tour from a staff member when I arrived to utilize my unit. The facility is confusing and maze-like but very clean and feels safe to go to. The employees were wonderful and very helpful as well as polite.

Again UHaul's apparent policy of sending customers miles from their location to pick up equipment, for UHaul's convenience, and with utter disregard of the customer outweighs anything positive about the drop-off or the quality of the trailer. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH UHAUL AGAIN. Although, you didn't ask, I would also say that UHaul's on line system is AWFUL. I attempted to line everything up in advance on line. It apparently did not work. Without any explanation my reservation was cancelled moments before my trip. THE UHAUL EXPERIENCE ABSOLUTELY WAS THE MOST NERVE WRACKING, FRUSTRATING CONSUMER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE ( AND I AM 65). I HATE UHAUL WITH A PASSION.

Excellent experience with my rental. The only thing that I would suggest for the company to improve the after hours return process. I was not able to upload the photo of the trailer & it would not allow my to go past that point in the process. I finally gave up after 20 minutes of trying. Possibly a glitch in the system? Do other people have the same issue? But I called the location the next morning and they were more than helpful to correct it and they removed the 20 $after hours charge that is applied if you don't use the website app for the return (I tried to) otherwise it was an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone

You need to get an IT person to clear up problems with the program. It makes you think storage is available and it is not. Your staff is great but without proper equipment they are going to get bad things said about the company. They realy helped me with my dilemma.h

My reservation did not actually hold a storage unit or a truck. I understand this is a issue with the national uhaul system but the staff was not helpful in resolving this issue, causing hours long delays in my moving day plus extra expense. The facility bathroom was disgusting and I did not have access to the building or my unit and this was not resolved until after the office closed for the day. I reported the issue to upper management of the company and it was only then that anything changed. You can do better!

This store has become more busy since it first opened....so sometimes during the day, customer parking for someone visiting the office can be an issue....just something you may want to address in the near future.
