The Alarm would go off for no reason and bust my eardrums. Not good. You guys charge for not having a secured lock, even though U-Haul is covered legally through the lease agreement for stolen property. That's over extending your hand and taking money away from people and it's wrong and you need to stop. I think notifications are fine but don't violate renters rights to leave it unlocked. The White guy at the Bexely location in Columbus, Ohio is a phenomenal employee and I'd love to see him get a raise. He was polite, explained things thoroughly and even helped me when he could have otherwise penalized me. He was a charm and the best part of my experience with U-Haul. Reward him please

The text I got from uHaul were deleted from my inbox without my permission, and no explanatiin given for that either. Also, I was given a wrong unit. Good thing I didn't move all my stuff in before I noticed, because I have a lot and that could have taken awhile. I had to present ID in person since the access codes i was given didnt work so, I had to go all the way back home to retrieve that, and then return and display.

The manager failed to document the issue at that time. The manager also failed to resolve this issue in a fair manner even after I sent photos to U-Haul showing evidence of the problematic gas gauge.
MELODY C.I had a hellish experience with Uhaul that didn't necessarily have to do with the location. My problem was with the fact that I was notified less than 24 hours before my pickup that I would no longer be picking up my truck at the Uhaul location near my house but instead I needed to go across the city of Chicago to get my vehicle mere hours before my movers were slated to show up. It was a huge inconvenience that added unwanted stress to my move. A few days prior, I went into the location near me (4055 N Broadway) and they assured me that the truck would be ready for me. Not only was I informed that the location was moved less than 24 hours prior, but none of the materials (dolly, moving pads) I ordered were in the truck. So, I had to go and pick up the truck and then go to the original location that the truck was supposed to be and try to convince them to give me the dolly and pads. It was a real stressful mess and Uhaul customer service was not helpful. Given the hoops I had to jump through the day before and the day of my move, I would never recommend anyone ever using Uhaul. In fact, I will proactively tell people who are about to move to never use Uhaul.

Their spotter was busy talking on the phone not helping the driver park, I had to yell over to them they were backing into a parked trailer. I left as they drove around the building again...

Also, there's no refund for moving out before billing for next month. But obviously the storage can be rented out. Seems like your getting paid twice that way. And screwing the move out early customer by not offering a partial month refund!

At rental pick up,.. the representative was more concerned with showing off her birthday manicure to her peers instead of attending to the customer in front of her. At rental drop off, I sat outside, in excess of 10 minutes in the rental, under the green tarp,.waiting for someone to come out and check the rental in (as instructed) and no one came out. I went inside and a young man was head down texting,.. & didn't even know I had came inside. I explained that I had been waiting 10 mins for someone to come out and check my rental back in,..and he directed me to leave the keys in the Dropbox (even though they weren't scheduled to close for another 4 hours) and that I would get my receipt in about 24 hours - Really?? He then put his head back down,.. and proceeded to text on his phone...

My only suggestion is, the longer your property is in storage after the first year your cost should go up half the normal increase. It should do that as long as it is in storage. That would not only increase customer volume but clients would feel more comfortable about leaving it in there longer.

The truck vibrated so much it caused the passenger mirror to vibrate making it hard to see clearly. It drove horribly and dangerously. I didn't get what I paid for and that's not fair. That truck is dangerous and shouldn't be driven.

Unfortunately, when I arrived (after a 3,5 hour drive), I found out that my storage (which had been reserved for several weeks) was not available. After about an hour of searching, we found storage at the Bexley location. The people there were very friendly and helpful.

THELMA B. | Expérience généraleWhen I signed up, I made a reservation for a 10x10 unit and had a confirmation email and everything. When I arrived a week later to move my stuff in, they told me they didn't have any large units and never actually reserved one for me. I had to figure out where to put half my stuff that day as they could only offer me a 5x6. I asked if they could notify me when a larger unit became available and they said they would- they never did. I checked in with them the next 3 times I went, asking to be notified and they never did reach out so I was with a 5x6 the whole time I was there. The elevators have also been out of order multiple times I needed to get stuff from my unit, which is so incredibly frustrating. The lack of follow through from employees is what annoyed me the most.

Upon removal of the items from my unit, the movers inadvertently took away one of the moving carts in their truck. The Manager called me and basically said that they had stolen the cart. I don't know who she usually deals with, but the assumption of theft from the get go is not "a best practice" from a customer serice perspective and is not acceptable in my books. I contacted the movers - who had already realized their oversight - and they returned the cart. When I called to update the situation to the Manager, she wouldn't take my call and instead communicated with me through one of her staffers. Not very professional in my opinion. She would not apologize for the accusation of theft and then a few days later, a charge for $75 was applied to my CC on file. This is NOT OK! I spoke to staff in person when I cleared the unit and they would not remove the charge and told me to "call Corporate". I have been a UHaul customer for close to 10 years in multiple locations - including Canada and have never had the rude and offensive treatment I experienced with Ms. Petersen. I would be glad to speak with someone about this should you need any more information. At this point, I cannot recommend this particular location to others and that is unfortunate.

However with all this space you still have to go through a normal size Door entrance to get to unit. I think that's such a design flaw. Loaded carts outside and got to door and had to unload to get through door then load again.
