The location was not open when I arrived for my pickup. I had to wait over two hours for someone to open the store so that I could pick up the vehicle. I understand that a manager had to drive a significant distance to open the store and after I contacted UHAUL directly, I received a discount, but the process was cumbersome and inconvenient. The invoice received doesn't show the breakdown so I am not sure that I received the credit as only one amount processed on the credit card. It would have been better to process the charge and then provide the credit refund or break it out on the invoice since it was for business purposes.

CAROLINE FShe told me the location was wrong (it was 15 min from the town I moved to but also the ONLY uhaul around). Apparently she couldn't do anything and I had to call the central office to get it fixed, then had to try and call her back to confirm she saw the change. I tried 3 times and she was never able to answer apparently.

NATHAN KWe dealt with 3 different employees & received 3 different versions of when we needed to return the truck before being charged for another day. We hurried around to make sure it was returned at the earliest time we were told to then find out we had 3 more hrs we could have used. We will now just use our personal vehicles to get the rest of the stuff moved. Also, we put gas in the exact amount it had when we picked it up, but were told it had more than it did when we picked it up, so we were charged another $7 or so... mostly irritated over the time issue since we could have used it & made the move all at once.

RANDY SThe 5 x 8 trailer I rented had a drop ramp back door which is much easier to load and unload especially if you are hauling a motorcycle. My 2005 Harley softail standard fit perfectly with about 4 inches between the ramp and the tail light.

The phone service that you have centralized to make a reservation through when you can't talk to someone at the Storage office Storage office really messed up. They did not give the physical office the information or anything about it. They did not send me a code or tell me to create a code they did nothing that helped, there was still a unit climate controlled unit left because that is what I needed and Levi worked it out for me. Did a great job phone system that hand calls really did not do the job. The phone system people were very polite and nice however they missed the most important step which was to ensure my having a unit. A climate controlled unit reserved for me so it was as if I'd never talk to them.

FRANKLIN JThis is a problem with UHAUL in general, I put in that I needed a moving truck to go from Germantown NY to Millville PA, I expected there was some padding for the trip distance, but instead, it turns out the contract said 217 miles... and I was 33 miles over the limit. I should NOT be expected to calculate the exact mileage between here and there. I will look at alternatives the next time I need a moving service.

Arthur BRESERVATION #98364429 We rented a 15' truck through U-Haul because were assured on the phone via the main U-Haul phone number representative that the truck could accommodate our 2 5/16" ball on our motorcycle trailer even though Penske was $400 cheaper. When I went to pick up the truck on Wednesday 10/8/24, Jason and Kennedy at the Bloomsburg, PA location told us that corporate does not have any idea what they are talking about and that the truck only had a 2" ball that was welded to the bumper. We had to scramble to find someone who would switch the coupler on our motorcycle trailer the next day to a 2" ball in order for us to make the trip to Jacksonville, Florida as scheduled on Friday. This inconvenience costs us $150. When my husband returned the truck to the Jacksonville location at 3129 Southside Blvd on Monday 10/14/24, he was advised by the employees, that there is a square box to the right of the welded ball that would accommodate a receiver. Therefore, we could have used our own 2 5/16" receiver. I requested a discount or some sort of compensation for the mis-information that I was given, but Kennedy advised that she could not do anything for us. I am very disappointed in the outcome of my experience with U-Haul.
WILLIAM WThe people I dealt with were very friendly, and the woman who I talked to when my rental was going to be late was extremely understanding of my situation and figured out a solution. Even just her kindness helped so much with the stress of moving to a different state. I would definitely rent from this location again.

MELISSA WCompletely misleading, condescending & outright fraud. Had made a mistake of dates on my reservation & was taken advantage of. My original reservation was not honored & was charged literally THREE times the price. I will never use Uhaul services ever again because of this. I have been a faithful customer on many multiple occasions but this was beyond corrupt.
RICARDO CI needed the trailer for 2 days but had to pay for 4 days they said. You should be able to pay for the days you need it.
GEORGE OInclude tongue jack's. It's a pain for me to always get my bottle jack out to unhitch at my location to free up my vehicle for other chores.

ALLEN RIts ridiculous that there is no tongue jack. Not everyone tows from the pickup location, to their house and then the drop off. I had to use a bottle jack to unhook at my house. Then, we had to use 2 men to unhook at the drop-off because we dropped off after hours.
STEPHEN SThe unit I rented had an inside door. You had to enter the building, go down the hall, turn right, go thru a door, turn right, go down the hall and turn right into the unit. Try that with a couch! The door frame was not attached to the building. You could pry it back which left the unit unsecured. The employee told me on move-in day that the door was scheduled to be repaired the day after I moved in. The door remained broken for 111 days! I should receive a partial refund!

Apparently there is an actual "time of day" that the daily rental ends based on what time of day you pick it up. I failed to see that in the contract. My mistake but I wish he would have at least told me he was charging me instead of just doing it like my money didn't matter. A little disappointed.
David HIn the past I always picked up a uhaul with a full tank of gas and had to drop it off with a full tank. This has always seemed to be a very sound policy. However, I picked this one up with a quarter tank and was told to drop it off with 1/4 tank. Since I didn't know how much gas I'd need, I filled it since I didn't want to run out of gas on the trip. I drove it 100 miles, and dropped it off with 3/4 tank of gas, so the whole rental cost me an extra $50 in gas. This new policy makes no sense. I will not rent again under this new policy.

SKYLAR BI ordered a 5'ft/10ft and you did not give me that. Your computer was lagging behind there were other customers and i ended up with a 5ft. by 5ft. I had to have my order done over to make it right. Then i had to move all of my stuff with my family, and that is taxing. No help was offered. My sister ordered her unit,and referred her daughter ,and myself to you . We all took out units with no incentive,no discount. Better management of other employees is needed. One did not know how to write up my order and the other fixed it and it still was wrong. Sorry so sad CBasilotto

I sent multiple emails and calls when no one would answer because you only have 1 staff working. When they are busy they can't do multiple things. It took my fiance to finally speak with Matt and there was nothing that could be done. My mother who was my back in Bloomsburg NEVER received a call about the storeage unit. I had to switch cards due to the accident and losing my wallet during it. I did forget to update my app. That's on me. However the attempts to contact me minimal at best and the unwillingness to work a payment play out cost me all of my belongings. I would NEVER recommend this company who absolutely looks down on women and is discriminatory. For you manager to not answer emails and say if I am busy. For it to take my MALE fiancé to call to FINALLY get him on the phone and then to be unwilling to help me is ridiculous! You only got $200 of the 600 owed that o would have paid to keep my memories. Like I said there was nothing of value in there. Just pictures clothes stuff that was meaningful to us. Sad company who has no empathy towards life and events that affect people's lives.

When closing my account I was informed I would not receive a prorated portion of what I had paid for. I believe this is not a fair business practice. U-Haul will keep the profit and then rent the storage unit to another person, hence double dipping on customers. I will only recommend to someone id there are no other alternatives to finding a storage unit.

All the keypads in the world won't secure a building where the door won't close. The first unit I was assigned was already in use. Staff had the damndest time trying to switch me to another unit. This required 3 visits. I received a partial refund for the first unit. They never did figure out how to refund the tax. I believe it was the mechanic who finally figured out how to make the switch. Computer system is very antiquated and staff are not proficient. It's does not seem like a well managed business. There were few storage units available in the area, otherwise I might have cut and run.

As a result, I receive threatening letters because the customer service rep failed to set up auto pay. I just assumed everything has been done, and then received a horrible letter in the mail. It took me 11 days to get in touch with the manager on duty, even though I called every single day from the date, I received a letter, at the Bloomsburg U-Haul. I had been charged all kinds of late fees and only he could remove them. Finally, it was settled. Then when closing out the facility I was told all I had to do was let them now. I let them know and they asked me if I had completed the move out papers! Yikes. Very nice people that work there but need some additional training.

I also rented storage in Bloomsburg on Route 11 and the storage number was 103 for three months starting December 6th 2022. I never received my free month and tried numerous times to have one of the months refunded because I was charged for all three months. John the manager was less than accommodating and when I went there in person to try to resolve the issue and clet him know that we had moved all of our things out and would not be needing the storage any more. John had told me that one of the months had been refunded and then went ahead and closed the account out. I then asked him for a receipt of proof that one of the months had been refunded and he said that it was not possible because he had closed the account. I asked why he had went ahead and closed it out before even asking if I wanted a receipt and he said that I needed to call the home office which I did. He was supposed to get back to me by Friday 03/03 or today Monday 03/06 and did not.

I lost $120.00. I don't think that is a good policy for a major storage chain to use. I asked for a refund and was denied. I'm not very happy with them. Moving is expensive enough, without getting ripped off by the storage company too.
