robert K.Truck was not clean it had a dead bird in it, and dip spit running down the door. We were also told the truck had a quarter tank of gas in which it did not. So we were credited $32 since it was a little above the E. However $32 didn't put it back on a quarter tank since that is what we were told to return it as.

Greg D.In general, I like the idea of U-Box. However, the customer service NEEDS to be improved significantly. Due to my experience with customer service, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND the service to any of my friends. I reserved 4 u-boxes on May 3, but I only used 3 of them on the moving day. My bad experience starts there! Since the u-box advertiser says "order as many as you want, and only pay for what you used", I assume my moving cost would be automatically adjusted. However, it was just the opposite way! It wasn't changed at all. So, chat with the online customer service, called both 800-GO-U-HUAL and 877-GO-U-HUAL, called "local" reservation center, and many different locations. Nobody can help with that!! Many of the people told me "your price is cheaper than the current price, for now, it takes $3700 for 3 boxes, but yours is $3100." This response doesn't make sense at all! I reserved the boxes almost a month ago, the price should be cheaper than the current price! As I explain that, "yes, mine price ($3100 for 4 boxes) is cheaper than the current price for 3 boxes (which is $3700). But, it doesn't mean I should pay $3100 b/c it was the price for 4 boxes. I only need to pay for 3 and it should be based on the price when I made the reservation." After that, all the people told me that they cannot change/update the price b/c they don't know what was the price for 3 boxes back then. Finally, after hours of calls, the Bowling Green center agreed to reach out to the U-Box support team, and they get the original price just in a few minutes. Then, they agreed to refund me $400. I am sure I am under refunded. The difference is more than that. But I agreed b/c I was tired of arguing with the customer service. I thought my bad experience would end there, however it was not! I paid for my shipping through the u-haul website. After the payment, the website showed my "remaining balance is 0." When the mover went to pick up the boxes, the San Antonio location didn't release the boxes. The staff told the mover that I need to complete my payment first, but I had already paid everything 3 days ago. Then, I had to call the 800-go-u-haul again. After a long conversation, we figured out (both the customer service and me) that the numbers I can see and what the u-haul staff can see were different. In the u-haul staff's system, I still owed U-Haul $154. But, what I can see on the u-haul website is I paid everything in full. I believe the issue (different numbers) is caused by the sync issue of the u-haul internal system. And, I am pretty sure of that b/c I have a PhD in Computer Science and I taught software design. On the u-haul website, the rent of boxes was automatically updated from 4 to 3. But, the rent cost in the u-haul staff's system didn't change. That's why they thought I still owed $154. Anyway, I agreed to go ahead and pay the $154 (even though I was really not supposed to pay for that), otherwise, my movers couldn't get the boxes. After paying that, the San Antonio location released the 3 boxes to the mover. But, on the u-haul website, under my account, it shows I am overpaid $154. I will need to call 800-go-u-haul again to get that refund. So, in general, I like the idea of u-boxes. But, according to my experience with the customer service, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND the service to my family and friends.

Tabatha Lewis was an awesome representative for UHaul helping with the online return portion. Most definitely the location for drop off for Bowling Green, KY.

Contacted the number, no answer, no call back after 1 hour, I called Dillon at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Bowling Green 1817 Campbell Ave. He just changed the destination and accepted my return, Still cost me 2 hours that I really didn't have. The trailer was very squirrely on the highway. Not a good experience, overall,

Andy S.When you post that to you have a equipment at a location you need to make sure that you can actually deliver what you promise. I should charge you for my time and gas having to drive to two different locations to find a trailer when I requested the trailer several days in advance and your system said you had it but you did not. Then to be over charged on top of my hassle is a real insult.
Nelson P.No parking avail was told we were supposed to park in the next shopping center down the road and walk up, no one to check out vehicle with us or be sure we knew how to operate everything etc, no one was there for almost 15 minutes when we tried to check back in. No one at desk, in office, at check in awning or anywhere to be seen. Called the phone number after 5 minutes and the sales office contacted the GM who “called someone†by then there were 4 ppl waiting for service and we had been waiting 15 min, even then the person who showed up decided to take care of a man who came in after me instead of checking in my vehicle. Luckily another employee showed up and took care of me.

The guy moves the first truck looks at me and says you can work around that one right and I said no I can't it's too close I don't wanna risk it and the employee just shakes his head with an attitude and walks away . I pay for a full month of storage move out the third day and I can't even get a refund uhual sucks and I will not be back and I will not be recommending you guys to anybody.

On top of no elevator being in the building so I was lugging everything upstairs alone. Not the best experience but yeah.

Montrell G. | Expérience généraleHow can I recommend this storage facility when over a thousand dollars worth of my things were stolen from it in a way I was not aware of to about two months ago, when I first thought that things were misplaced but once I started moving things into my apartment I realized that things were missing from my storage unit. I was the only one to access to my keys. When I told the assistant manager I was told this could not happen, the lock could not be picked. That the alarm would go off if the door was opened. Well it was picked, someone went into it, I told them I think it was someone who worked or works there. I trusted U Haul, I been with them for five years and I used them to move several times but I will never be able to trust them with my storage. ⚜️

It is not their fault that uhaul's system goes down every first of the month making it inconvenient to people that have to use them at that time, but through it all the management and staff remain professional while being cursed at for something out of their hands.

Jeff B. | Expérience généraleDuring the pandemic businesses were giving allowances to help everyone due to the Covid by removing late charges, etc. While the did work on a payment arrangement one time. Other times I called to get assistance with payment, I couldn't get it. A comment was made during one conversation that I was always late well yes, we were struggling financially and my husband had been in an accident. Whether I call the store or the corporate line it did not change the type of service that was received. So calling corporate with unresolved issues was a waste of time.! Another thing if you leave a message for the manager there it is like a week before you get a call back , if you get one at all. Several times I wanted to just grab something quick because the trucks were always parked in front of my unit.

Why do you require 3 different phone numbers, contact names of third parties, etc? Yard at your facility at Bowling Green is very crowded as well.
