I called and extended my rental for 24 more hours but the person who answered the phone did not put it into the system. So when I arrived I got dinged a late fee which added up to nearly an additional 100 $. They also dinged me for fuel after driving less than 15 miles, because the gauge hadn't been checked prior to my mobile pick-upHenry P.

The return equipment sign said to wait for a representative to check you in. No one ever came up when I was clearly ready to be checked in and waiting. The employees work overtime to handle the crowds that come to this location. You can tell they are understaffed by the line but they still had great attitudes even when they were swamped. Great professionalism.LISA B.
Only truck on the lot so I had to take it. Interior smelled like marijuana, exterior of truck was filthy, the bed had a huge kitchen grease spill in it. When I asked the punk kid behind the counter about it at turn in, he got smart mouthed with me. It was a horrible experience! U-haul, in my mind is the lowest of all the moving companies, but in the past, they seemed they were trying to prove that image wrong. Today, they did the opposite!MICHAEL C.

Trailer swayed so bad on highway on-ramp that I almost lost control. Drove 45 on highway until I got home where I checked tire pressure. 65psi, 20psi, 32psi, and 40psi. Incredibly dangerous and negligent. Filled them to spec and towed perfectly.Aaron K.

It is impossible to get somebody to answer the telephone. Also I had a problem with the return. The alarm kept going off on the truck. It was impossible. Do you still have the name of a manager on the front door who was fired six months ago. He asked that his name be taken off. The person from U-Haul roadside assistance had no idea what to do. The next day I called U-Haul about the problem and they never returned the call. I have useld this store Previously. In the past they've also never picked up the phone. There are often lines in the store. I could never recommend U-Haul to anyone.ANDREW R.
The store was wildly understaffed and the few employees who were working were also undertrained. We were there for over an hour and a half just to pick up the trailer that had been reserved in advance. We watched several other customers leave in frustration without receiving any help or the products they came to get. We also watched a woman get completely screwed out of her U-Haul reservation when the location did not have the trailer she needed and failed to communicate that, instead canceling her reservation without notification. It was a complete nightmare and I will avoid going back at all costs. One positive note-- the employee who helped us, Crash, was absolutely delightful. He was very sympathetic to everyone's frustrations and helped us to get everything we needed for our move, even though he was also struggling with the online system. After all of the chaos of just getting our reservation finalized, we didn't have the right size ball hitch, and the store was not stocked with the proper size. Crash gave us his own ball hitch from his vehicle to ensure that we could make our journey safely and conveniently. He is a gem!KELSIE ROSE W.

Waited 35 minutes past my reservation for a truck. Then he had to clean it. There were 4 dents and dings that weren't on the report of damage so I took pictures of them. Wondering if they would have charged me for those. When I returned it they couldn't check it in right away. They also charged me for 2 gallons of gas even though I drove less than 20 miles and put 1 gallon in the truck. Horrible experience.RYAN D.

When I returned the trailer and went to unhitch I realized the clamping nut for the ball was all the way up, open. It was not tightened in other words. It was turned all the way to open and that meant my entire trip it was only the hitch weight keeping it hitched. The person who hitched it up needs to know how to do that. Please do a refresher for her. Fortunately I had a very light load but did go 200 miles on the freeway. I never checked it after she hooked it all up.THOMAS ALLAN J.

There was not enough customer service reps and there was a long wait. The trailers weren't in the right order outside so we have to rearrange multiple trailers to get two the two we needed. Trailer tires has excessive wear and when I brought I up the attendant shrugged it off like it was no big deal and we had one blow out on the roadAMY L.

I chose to get a uhaul to get the storage offer. After my long trip I stopped by to drop it off and unload my things. They sold my storage, didn't have me on file and gave me a 5x5 instead for a packed 6x12 trailer and a filled suburban. I had to extend my trailer time and pay 80 for a different storage mentioned by the staff. So now I've paid more than double what I was contracted.BRANNON R. | Premières impressions
Here's the small thing first. You might want to update and revise your wording on office hours and access hours. I was under the impression that after checking into my unit that I had until 10pm access my unit. While moving my things into my units(argh!) I was told I needed to be out by 7pm... I was moving cross country and got there at 5:30pm. Here's the big one. I reserved one of your biggest units since I had a lot of stuff. I called 2 or 3 hours ahead of arrival to make sure everything was in order and was assured by the lady everything was and the unit was ready. When I got there I was told that my reserved big unit was not available like I was assured and have paperwork on. It was to be on first floor as well so my 75 year old father didn't have to take stairs. I was offered 2 smaller units that barely allowed my furniture to fit nicely and not pretty much everything is just thrown in these two units because of size constraints and time allowed. My plan for the big unit was to make everything accessable to me when needed, it is not. Why have reservations for your units if you can't honor them? Again I called to confirm 2-3 hours before my arrival and was assured that it was there waiting for me! I would have looked elsewhere, but couldn't take the time to do so on account of the time I arrived, returning back from Seattle, and that the trailer was due back in Laurel the next day. The two guys that were helping me we're fine even though I was quite frankly very angry at this situation. They did try to help as much as possible. I could rattle on and on over this, I will end with I am great disappointed with u-haul and its failure to honor its word. I expect more from the people here in MT.Tate S. | Premières impressions
