The truck rented had a towing light. I didn't know that the light had to be turned off since I didn't have any car towed. So, front desk John rubich could of explained it and wouldn't have to wait so long on the phone with help assistance.

use only 1 moving company. The ones that loaded my truck were professional & careful with my furniture AND wore masks. The people u set up to unloaded were horrible, would not keep masks on AND complained the whole time about how heavy some furniture was. They were horrible & rude. I would have preferred to have only 1 moving company involved, the people who loaded the truc who by the way were awesome to work with. Its just plain stupid to have 2 different sets of people help with my move esp with how horrible the ones that unloaded the truck were

Vehicle drove like crap requested a dolly on mobile app and it was not van.

The facility had a very, very strong smell of marijuana throughout. The odor was to overpowering.... truly surprised as the staff are moving vehicles throughout the day and number one dealing with customers who don't have time for that....I will not be coming back to this location and that is sad as it is such a convenient location...WOW Train your staff on professionalism and customer service.... whether legal or not, this was bad....

The only pickup location was located 100 miles away until the day prior to pickup. Customer service was able to change the location to be 15 miles away, which allowed me to get on the road hour earlier. Thank you!

The truck leaked exhaust into the cabin and was overly loud due to its exhaust system needing repair. It was not well maintained or this would have been fixed earlier. U-Haul should not rent out trucks that cause problematic health issues such as this one. The fact that it was in a poor neighborhood just makes one wonder if the socioeconomic status of the neighborhood was enough to warrant no maintenance being done.

The scheduling was a nightmare. I scheduled through the national phone line a month before I needed the uhaul only to find out the day of pick up that I wouldn't have it. When I went to my local dealer he helped me out but for a higher price and smaller truck. The truck had flat tires so we wasted hours waiting for roadside assistance.

I have been a client of U-Haul for ten years. The experience I had in the last few months was so extremely frustrated that I will never, ever work with U-Haul again. I was constantly given wrong information, my account information was messed up, even after I had called customer service and updated it two times. I was told I can vacant my unit a week after my bill's next payment cycle and I will not be charged, but I was charged for the entire month. Chris, who apparently was a fake name and did not work at the location that we rented the unit provided me other wrong information and just made my move day misurable and exteremly stressful.

Where to start!? Welp they gave our truck to some other people. It wasn't the people's fault it was another u-hauls fault. While they did make good in the end, the whole thing makes me doubt using them again. I wish they had better customer support.

Every time myself or family member uses U-Haul there's always issues. Yesterday I had to travel to three locations to rent a trailer and truck. Which never got the truck had to rent a larger vehicle at no discount. I was told everything was available when originally booked. You spend more time working with U-Haul than what the job takes. Associates were very rude.

U-Haul staff at this location were not wearing masks, reached through the plastic guard to touch the keypad for me, and didn't help me get the trailer attached. Will NEVER return to this location. It get people don't love their jobs — but seriously, pretty awful experience.

I did the online check in and when I got to the location, getting the trailer was a breeze. The manager helped me with buying a trailer starter ball insert and an electrical adapter that I needed for my factory installed trailer hitch.

My concern is that I was charged $11.00 for fuel replacement when I returned the truck. I drove a total of 20 miles and put 5 gallons of gas in the truck BEFORE I returned. I was apparently charge for an additional 3 gallons of gas. So I drove 20 miles and used 8 gallons of gas? Not likely.

Guys that ran Broadview IL location were excellent. Came outside during pick up/drop off and explained everything. Only issue is when booking reservation, it stated you can do contactless pick up/drop off and this was not available, or poor information provided.

I had a confirmation for a reservation of a26' truck a week before the move. I did not receive an email of no availability and the truck wasn't available. I had to settle for something smaller and inconvenient

I was very disappointed that the gentleman who processed my vehicle return wasn't wearing a mask. While we were outside, he did not maintain social distance. He was ready to lean into the driver seat while I still was seated so he could check the mileage. I stopped him so I could first exit the vehicle. He also waved his phone in front of me to confirm my email address - very inconsiderate. Also, the transmission on the vehicle isn't working properly.

When we arrived there was no one in the office to serve us. We waited then called out to let someone know that we were there at the designated time the truck was available. 15 minutes later we discovered that an employee was working in the back room but didn't reply to us. Another employee was cleaning up the truck outside. We had to actually look for him

When I picked up my truck, the rep asked if I would be back by 12:00 and I asked him if he could give me until 1:00pm just to be on the safe side. His response was, I have other reservations (forget about me as a customer). I received the truck, it was not cleaned at all. With everything going on right now with COVID, I at least expected it to be wiped down on the inside but it wasn't. Things happened during my move that pushed me a hour behind. The rep called me around 12 asking where I was. Upon my return, I explained to him that the truck was dirty and that the air didn't work and his response was none of the trucks air works. I asked if I would be compensated for this and he told me no because he didn't charge me another day since I was 1 hour late (which I originally told him 1:00). Overall, the rep was rude and very nasty with me and I won't be returning back to the Broadview location and I will tell others not to use that location. Also, with COVID going on, the rep didn't have on a mask during either transactions with me, not a mask in sight.

First off the GM was very rude to me as soon as I got there. I pre paid for the truck on line and when I walked in and told him I was there to pick up truck he said " You were suppose to be here at 12 noon. You are late." UM first off the truck is paid for so yo know I am coming and 2nd of all I came all the way from Springfield so I was there at 1 pm so no need to give me attitude. Now looks can be deceiving. The truck looked nice outside and inside but as I drove the truck things were fine at first then when I got onto the highway to travel back to Springfield about 45 minutes into the trip every thing just started going wrong. First thing the air vents kept falling out when going over bumps. Second thing the engine kept accelerating on it's own and then would hesitate. I did not think we would make it but my BIGGEST CONCERN IS my Husband was in the passenger seat and his door flew open on it's own 3x's . This is NOT EXCEPTABLE.
