First off the address provided and confirmed with you via phone was wrong. I was told to go to 11401 S Cleveland Ave. Waited in line for 20 mins to be told I drive another 20 miles because my container was shipped to another place. Arrived at 1601 N Cleveland Ave and people were awesome there. Waited in line for 1/2 hour to be told it would be over an hour before they could get to me because they didn't have enough employees. I arrived at 9:45 and did not leave with pod until after 1 pm that is over 4 hours of waiting. I was not the only one that day that had similar experience.JEFFREY S.

The facility is over crowded. Way too many household shipping containers stacked all over the place. The return equipment route had vehicles and movers in the way.Cory K.
We had reserved a truck and appliance dolly from a location near us a week in advance. They did not have our truck at the pick up time and had to send our reservation to the main location, which added 20 miles to our cost. It took more then an hour to get checked out and more then an hour when we returned it. The staff was in no hurry to help anyone. We will not recommend this location to anyone.Frederick F.

Four hour wait to pick up containers after scheduled pick up time. Earlier contacts were with long phone wait times, dropped calls with each transfer and incorrect billing information. Took five hours to get something corrected. Containers held half of what I expected. Had chairs not stackable and took up too much of the space. Also some furniture damaged due to being on side with too much weight on legs. Totally disappointed in Uhaul.EMMANUEL C.

We rented a 10x15 a couple weeks ago then I ordered a 5x10 the day we were supposed to move in. The website offered the 5x10 but said nothing about a waiting list. We knew we needed 2 units so we thought we were good. The facility didn't have the smaller unit nor did any other facility in the area. Now I was driving around with stuff in a truck that I didn't have a place for and the truck needed to be returned 12 hours later. My thoughts Uhaul should update there website so units ONLY available are offered for rent. Otherwise truck ran great, tow dolly worked great. I had 1 box left, and my lock to install. Access denied; re-signed at both boxes and access granted - but neither the sliding doors nor swinging would open. Customer service connected me to 'emergency - fire/police'. We played that several times - the 3rd time I requested to the rep staying on the line during transfer and it didn't! Connecting says 30-40min wait; 10mins after 7pm was the time. That was after reserving with Blake, not getting the online site to accept some info, then repeating almost everything again inside the N.FM location. Requested 6 u-boxes. 3 delivered one day, have them picked up and the 3 others dropped off that day. Seemed simple enough but I was wrong.. My order receipt came through as 3 u-pods. I spent 2-3 hours and spoke to at least 15 people each telling me the person they were transferring me to would be the ones that could help me confirm 3 more pods would be dropped off when the 3 were picked up. At the end of the day I had zero answers. Finally got in contact with someone the morning of my pick up and they did not have 3 additional pods on schedule to be delivered but they got me 3 more after I spoke with them. When the driver left they said because of the way it was set up I will need to call the office and make sure these three get picked up and delivered with the three others. Not looking forward to having to call and set aside a day to deal with the complete idiocrasy that is the uhaul customer service. I will need to plan a full day and do some meditation in the morning to calm myself for the task ahead and I'm sure at the end of it nothing will be accomplished. I also need to put aside a few hours to pick up some sod and fix my lawn after the delivery driver tore apart my lawn and left a giant hole after she got stuck and I had to push her out. No reason why she should've ever needed to go through my yard in the first place but I guess I'll take some time away from my family to fix her mistakes. Truck I reserved was not at the location. After over 45 minutes on hold I was told It was at another location in North Fort Myers 20 miles further away. I explain this to the person at the desk. And they told me I would get 50 $off because my truck was not available when when and where it was supposed to be. However I was charged the full amount the 50 $was not taken off. It's not only that but I ended up paying an extra 35 miles worth of mileage plus my gas and my time driving 45 minutes each way because the truck wasn't where it was supposed to be. The location where I finally was able to get the truck was backed up and took forever the same with returning it a big waste of time.David A.

I moved out of the storage unit because the facility is too congested with personal storage boxes. They seem to be everywhere and can't find a place to park unless I go early in the morning when it opens. I am a musician and store my gear there every hurricane season. 1. The uhaul pickup location changed my drop off location without notifying me 2. The uhaul pickup location center over exaggerated the fill level of the gas tank. (I took a picture) 3. The uhaul pickup location took 1 hour to assemble the truck, trailer and pads even after an online check-in. 4. Some furniture pads were wet 5. Truck was low on oil 6. The "moms attic" leaked making my boxes wet I no longer can trust u-haul reservations and in the future I will make sure to check truck before accepting the contract.Eric W.

Nothing against the final location, but the uhaul website and reservation procedure was garbage. Never have a I seen such poor management of equipment location. I had to go to THREE locations to finally find where my truck was. I had also reserved a dolly. They didn't have the one kind I reserved, but instead had an appliance dolly. Ok, fine, but why should I be charged the extra amount for a larger dolly when that is not what I reserved? When I asked the manager at the final location - she said - it happens all the time. And the man I front of me was told the wrong location as well. It's ridiculous. I'm incredibly disappointed. Next time, I'll take my chances with another company. The person who helped us return the rental truck was okay. He had ear buds in and seemed to also be talking to someone as he checked the mileage, etc. He did not open the back to inspect the truck for cleanliness, nor did he personally look and count the 12 blankets I was returning. He took my word for it. Thankfully I took a picture of all before returning the truck, so I should not have to pay an extra fee. The process was quick, and when I asked for a receipt, I was told I would receive an email. I would consider this location again as it is close to my home and had a lot of rental equipment.DEBRA L.

Check the dates on your rentals. I was auto-billed for the pods for an additional month even though I returned them before the month was over. You're refunding the amount but I was on the phone for over an hour trying to get it resolved. Other than that, the service was great - very convenient to have them delivered to my old and new homes. My experience was horrendous. My UBox was being shipped from NJ to FL. Once my UBox reached FL no one could ever give me status. I was on the phone for 3 hours transferred from one customer rep to another. Needless to say it was more than frustrating. I finally received a call from a very pleasant woman who told me the situation- not enough people working. Therefore, I can not hold UHaul responsible but the current Administration (Biden) who are throwing money at people to stay home as opposed to getting them working. #fjb.Ann M.

First, you should be convicted of deceptive advertising. Although you have huge signs advertising 89 $a month units, you don't actually have any for rent and there is a wait list so you won't have any to rent for the near future. When I rented, I had to take the bigger size for 249 $a month (despite your bait and switch ads). The person who rented to me did not explain the card or how to swipe in and swipe out so I had no idea it would alarm if I entered my unit without swiping. While I was waiting, several units alarmed (according to the board) yet no one investigated and when I asked, they said it was common for people to accidentally alarm so they don't pay any attention. How is that secure? Somehow, I was charged an extra month for my unit and they couldn't tell me why and said there was no refund available. The aisles in the place are super overcrowded, making it dangerous to drive to the unit. Big boxes are perched precariously, looking like they will fall. The dumpsters were always overflowing, making the place look filthy and unsanitary. There is not enough help. I bought wardrobe boxes but they did not tell me I needed the pole and I had to make another trip back to get them. For instance, when I asked one man how to get to my storage unit when the only apparent way was clearly blocked by parked cubes, he said "How the ... do I know?" The facility and employees were very nice but the set-up of the facility is HORRIBLE. Access to many of the units is through one small corridor that you have to drive into and one end was completely blocked off with storage pods so you can not leave without turning around three-point-turn style. If people are unloading, you are limited in your ability to do a turn-around and whatever you do DO NOT DRIVE A TOW-BEHIND trailer into the area unless you feel confident that you can back it up around cars and storage pods because there is no other way to get out.ALISON D. | Premières impressions

The woman I worked with was funny and nice but she didn't give me enough information like how to disarm the storage unit. I set the alarm off 5 times trying to figure out how to disarm. Which was highly frustrating especially when the alarm is a screeching noise. I had to run through the facility back and forth wondering why it kept ringing. And I still do not know how I turned of the alarm. My reservation was lost and the young man checking me in was not trained well in what he was being asked to do. After going through the reservation process a week earlier I had to do it again and the attendant had trouble typing and asked me the same questions over and over again. The computeR system seemed clumsy to use and attendant couldn't type very well. I was very frustrated from this circumstance. Then we were not given very good instructions on which card reader you use at the entrance to the facility. Ther are four card readers to use yet only one will work and there was nothing that helped you understand which one to use. It seems to me that the individual filling out the paperwork should take you to the storage room to make sure that all is workding correctly.
