My only complaint is that the facility in Mt. Pleasant wasn't aware of my container being in route. That was frightening! However, the staff at Mt. Pleasant helped facilitate the delivery of the UBox to my location. It arrived safely. I'd like to recommend better internal communication between your independent U-Haul partners. Mercidommenique W.

The office didn't open at 7am. The truck was low on fuel. The truck won't start after we fueled, I had to return to the office to let them know that the truck will not start. The service man followed us back to the gas station and he moved the battery around and then the truck started. We had to do that every time we turn the engine off. I was not happy with the service I received at this location.LaVinia H.
The antenna on the truck was broken, so we could not listen to the radio. The windshield had a crack. The back tire had three pieces of thread pulled away from the tire. Also, I reserved a truck for one-way rental a week in advance. Thursday evening, I was informed my reservation location and time had been changed from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. I contacted customer service to explain that I had movers scheduled Saturday at 7:30 a.m. I was told sorry, the facility does not have a truck available, and you would need to go to a location 20 miles away. When I asked about the 50 guarantee, I was given a story that my rental does not qualify for the guarantee even though U Haul had changed my reservation. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to get a truck from the original location at 7:00 a.m. and return within 24 hours. I am disappointed with U Haul and their lack of customer service. Needless to say, the rental cost almost twice as much compared to a one-way rental. I am not sure if that was their goal, but they were successful.Angela C.
After making a reservation fir mobil pick up with credit card information it should not take 30 minutes for approval to get key and then be charged for the actual pick up time.Mark B.

i reserved a 26' truck for my move and got a conformation, so the day of ... i get there at 7am and im told they have no truck that size. i was forced to rent additional trailers and equipment and made several trips instead of just one...definitely a waste of time.John M.

Nobody but the manager seemed to have any idea what was going on here. When I called to schedule my Ubox delivery, I got bounced around from line to line for 40 minutes because apparently nobody knows how Ubox works. We ended up deciding to rent a truck and unload the box ourselves because we had no faith in anyone involved to be able to do their jobs.Jonathan A.

My boxes were scheduled to be picked up on 7/12/2022 After calling daily and going through a lot of requests to pick up Sent an email to customer service and was totally ignored Finally got it picked up on 07/16/2022 I think I spoke few times to manager Cory she was not helpful and didn't give me a chance to talk and dropped the ballbola S.
We will never use uhaul again. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong with this reservation did. And no one at either uhaul location (Carson or wake forest) or the 800 number could help us or seemed to know what they were doing. They would just put us on hold until we hung up. I will say there is one person at the Carson location that, although he didn't help much, was very friendly and seemed to at least make an effort. Otherwise, uhaul has lost 2 lifelong customers. Called UHaul in Rancho Dominguez 24 hours before to schedule storage access. Once we arrived the next day, we were told that they did not have it notated that we were going to arrive. Raymond A from the location was helpful and allowed us access to the UBox. When we had questions, we tried calling the number of the location and it would always redirect us to the 800 line when we needed to speak to someone on-location regarding our UBox. We called 8 times and in 1 call, someone picked up then hung up. That afternoon, we decided to go back on-location to make sure that we will receive the help we needed. We called and someone answered, put us on hold for 15 minutes and by the time they came back, we were already right at the front of their office. We entered, no other customer was there and the person at the desk was on their personal phone. I rented a cargo van from this location drive it for 20 miles all around trip used it for no more then 25 mins. Recieved the van with 1/4 of gas in it didn't use much gas at all after I got got done I put more then I got it with yet I still got charged 2 days later for a full tank. Have more in-service days to go over customer service and basic logistics and planning. I made a reservation which included movers, only to find out days before the move that the moving service didn't over services anymore. U-haul never bothered checking the movers I had on my reservation nor did they offer another service for the same price. I was refunded but it cost me more money to find another moving service as a result. Secondly, on the day of my UBox delivery I was informed that my boxes would be delivered between 8-10am, but when they weren't delivered in that window, I had to call Uhaul and be told that it was moved between 12pm-2pm. This made me very upset because I not only was I not notified of the change, they didn't even call, email, or text me about the change. And on top of that we had to call our movers for a schedule change which cost us more money. The only person to provide me excellent service was the driver who delivered the boxes. I understand the high demand for moving equipment that is being asked of you by customers but the service I received from this move was UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!!! Fix it up or find new employeesJoseph L.

The overall experience is positive. As with most things communication is key. There were a few hiccups but eventually my son's Ubox arrived. My son accepted the box and arrangements were made with the contractor who dropped off the container to pick it up on his wzy back through the area triggering another monthly rental charge. They never answer the local phone. So you deal with a call center who is clueless. It took me over an hour and 3 phone calls just to change the date if my rental and upgrade my truck. It was ridiculous and time consuming. I'm canceling my boxes after 13 years for employees who are incompetent!Tamie S.
When the container arrived the lock was damaged so badly that it had to be cut off. Please, ignore the pick-up location rating as I was never there. I booked online and had the container delivered. You should probably update your survey with this option.Robert B.

Zero communications once you had my credit card. I had to do all the calling to get information on delivery of the box on both ends of the move. Manager in California was defensive and of little help. Phone wait times were ridiculously long and all numbers led to main line. Drivers on both ends were the saving grace of uhaul. Both professional and skilled at their job and informative. Interesting how the excuse for lateness of delivery on both coasts were a result of broken equipment. Uhaul must not service their equipment, Only reason I would consider recommending uhaul would be with a caveat' of "don't expect communications to be easy but at least they get the stuff there on time or before."Terry W.
