Easy process. Had to go further than planned for pick up and remind them to add miles to cover the change as the booking had not been updated which they did without hesitation. It was not clear that we would get another link to inspect the truck before leaving the lot so we left and the link expired but luckily no issues.

The trailer leaked water which could have ruined contents. The parking lot attendant was rude when I returned the trailer. If I ever needed a U-Haul again, I would rent from a different location or company.

When someone has a reservation for specific dollies along with the truck and the truck is one way? Ensure that these are fulfilled. Come moving day. I had to also take the truck to another location to pick up utility dollies. I don't have time to search around town on move day for product that I reserved.

Everything was ok except for the return. After I returned the vehicle on my receipt that I received days later, it stated I did not fill it back up and they charged me for it. I did fill it back up actually I put more gas in then when I got it. I will not use this location again.

Everything was great, but I'd recommend having the gas tank on "full" prior to the rental. It's easier then to return the vehicle with the same amount of gas.

They guy didn't check the dash for lights, had to come back for a tire pressure check as there was a notice on the dashboard one tire was low. He couldn't find a gauge then helped someone fill an LP tank before getting me on my way saying the tire sensor was bad, but the tire was good. When I returned the equipment and got home I reviewed the final bill stating a rental tax. I called and was transferred to several people who couldn't explain it or the percentage. Some said 14 %. I just wanted to know how it was calculated as it was a large amount. They finally called management and they said 17 %, but it actually calculates to 17,31 % of the truck, trailer, miles and insurance. Very sad dealing with people who don't know how the costs are figured. Most responses I got where, 'Usually nobody asks those questions" Retrain your staff!

When I returned the trailer the employee was very rude. She had a very bad attitude while telling me where to park the trailer. I've rented from this location many times before and always had a pleasant experience. I will not be going back to this location.

My unit was auctioned off after I lost my credit card and was issued another one. All of my bills are on auto pay.! I did not notice that payment wasn't coming out. Nobody called or contacted me. The store claims they sent a certified letter but it was to the wrong address!! I had a second unit with my address, number, and all listed. Now my wedding dress, baby memories including umbilical cords are ALL GONE! I tried to speak with someone once I found out, they were very dismissive and didn't care at ALL! I had this storage and others for years and I will never do this again. Not to mention, my unit lock was taken off at one point and left unlocked. Items were missing, they weren't of sentimental value, so I forgave them. Shame on me!!!!

Your booking agent failed to realize that the office closes at 5pm on Sundays. And he STILL BOOKED ME A RENTAL AT 6PM. So you can imagine the frustration when I went to pick up the rental and the store was closed. On a weekend. When I had to be on the road very early the next day. POOR AT BEST, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE CALL YOUR SERVICE FOR MAKING RESERVATIONS.

The right rear hinge pin was very difficult to operator. Had to use a block of wood or hammer to remove and install.

The employees here are always nice. Always going above and beyond. I live in another county and still come here. Being treated properly and having great service makes repeat customers. They should be a standard of employee models.

Use this location to teach other sites how to manage. My equipment was ready when I arrived. One person checked me in and another pulled the truck around to streamline everything. Everyone was kind and helpful. The terms were explained and the check in process went quickly and smoothly.

Will return will needed. The vehicles need checking though. The first vehicle we had brakes where going out. The second vehicle we had, the steering column was messed up. You try to drive one way and it slide the other way and it wasn't even snow, ice or anything on the ground. So yes, the vehicles need to be checked over really good but other than that it was a nice experience.

They didn't check the condition of the tires on my auto transport and it blew out from within the tire when I arrived at my destination. I had to wait over 2 hours for someone to come bring a new tire out and install it. They should have seen it had an old tire on the auto transport and replaced it before it blew and went flat. When I returned the auto transport the guy checked me in and then proceeded to say after I told him my tire issue that he could have given me a discount if he hadn't checked me in so fast. He was supposed to talk to his manager after Ieft to see if he could still get me a discount, but never heard from him or the store.

The staff on duty on the Saturday morning was very pleasant to deal with. I had put my reservation in prior, so even though they were checking in multiple people at the same time, they got me in and out quickly. Excellent emplacement!

Everything was smooth from picking up the rental and use of the rental. However, at drop off the lady was extremely rude saying that she did not want to work with us because she was about to get off in 30 min, sighing and huffing annoyance when we walked into the store. After we were being friendly and joking about her annoyance, she proceeded to get heated with us and repeatedly telling us that she did not want to help us anymore. We still have no clue how she has a job with U-Haul and has horrible manners to be working in any people-facing job.

I know turning a truck over for the next user was a quick one on this. Gas was quite low and the front windshield was filthy. I filled it up, as you noticed returned with extra gas, I discovered a crack where a rock hit the windshield and called the Indianapolis location immediately. I was advised I would not be responsible, as I knew this. I was more concerned that it needed to be fixed in the future! Other than that, it was good and the gentleman in Indianapolis was quite helpful and my hats off to him! Sorry can't remember his name. Dave

The staff were friendly and helpful. The customer service area was similarly kept to 3 other Indy locations I've been to in the past, though the path to the desk was a narrow maze through all the supplies kept on display. In fact, I wasn't sure anyone was at the desk until I got halfway through the displays due to the amount of products that blocked the view. The trailer that was assigned to me needed some maintenance; there were running lights, but no brake lights nor turn signals. Since it was a 6x12 enclosed trailer that blocked the view of my vehicle's lights & signals, it was impossible for any other drivers behind me to know when I was braking or turning. I did note this at the time it was hooked up to my vehicle, but the associate who hooked it up dismissed my concern and sent me on my way. I noted it again when I returned the trailer.

One of the first things they will prevent me from recommending. Is the fact that mileage has gone up and I don't know why. I had rented the vehicle from that location two times this week and both times the windshield was so dirty. I had a hard time seeing Oncoming traffic.

Brittney was super friendly, professional and great. She really took the time to ensure my rental was ready and clean. She pulled it up to front and made sure inside of the box was clean before giving it to me. She went the extra mile to ensure I had a great experience. This was my 4th time going to this location and she was one of the first people to stand out at that location. Thank you so much Brittney and continue doing a great job!

At pick up Erica has the WORSE attitude, the dolly I reserved was not available so instead of apologizing and saying, I'm sorry it's not available. She said I'm removing it from your reservation because we don't have it and then when I told her that I have one reserved she kept asking me if I wanted the truck or not. What's this? She definitely made me feel like U-Haul could take or leave my business.

They did not tell me they didn't have the requested dolly when I came to pick up. I got all the way to my location and had to turn around. The CSR got smart with me when I was trying to figure out what she was doing. I thought maybe she was trying to locate another location I could get one.if I had known my requested truck and dolly weren't available I would have cancelled and went to another location. I work in customer service and that person has no business helping customers with her attitude.

This is hard to answer because I didn't go inside and had no interaction with personnel. The truck drop off experience was terrible also though because somehow Uhaul messed up and did not input this location as my drop off even though I did, which prevented me from being able to complete truck drop off. I had to call customer service and spoke with Toya, which she was GREAT. Very helpful and got it done. That being said, apart from Toya, this entire Uhaul experience was terrible

I paid extra to have access to a dumpster and was only throwing away cardboard boxes once a week I was verbally harassed each time o used the dumpster. I explained each time I paid extra for the dumpster and was only throwing away cardboard I addition to that debris and vehicles are constantly in front of my unit and I had to wait or ask people to move to get in my unit These were employees of Uhaul each time

I moved to the Indianapolis area from South Carolina, only to find out my apartment was not ready, well I had a uhaul truck with all my belongings nowhere to unload and nowhere to sleep. I drove around Indy trying to figure out a solution, with no extra funds for lodging this facility allowed me to move my entire house into A temporary storage unit.staff treated us as if we were royalty.In today's world it's sorta unusual that your fellow man shows empathy towards someone else's problem I truly thank the ENTIRE STAFF for all they've done

we picked up our uhaul on June 1, loaded up in fort wayne, planned to drop off the stuff in castleton....BUT HAD NO WAY TO GET INTO STORAGE!!....we had to drive out to the old house and then BACK TO THE STORAGE PLACE the next day for an extra 90 miles AND GAS!!....So no, , we are not at all happy with our service and we hope uhaul will NOT CHARGE US THE EXTRA 90 MILES and reimburse us for the wasted gas....bad deal

Only issues was it was mice droppings on some of my items. As I was moving my certain furniture I saw a nice run over my feet & into a whole in the storage unit. I did notice there were mice traps so I assume this is an issues U-haul is already aware of.

My experience was good. Only had my items stored there for 5 months. Only went there to drop them off and pick them up. My only complaint is that the lot that the units are on is littered with broken glass, lots of screws & bolts, & trash here & there. We're lucky we didn't get a flat tire from the debri lying around. Otherwise, service was good & staff was friendly.

This was the first time we needed to utilize a storage facility. We were pleased and pleasantly surprised by how easy it was and that it was nice and clean. The guys in the store were very helpful, friendly and kind. Hopefully we won't need storage again, but if we do our first choice would be uhaul.

Staff was hit nd miss on friendliness. I was not given. Choice in lock to use and was charged for the lock on the unit. After a year of renting it the key broke off in the lock on moving day. Was told it was 24 hours for a locksmith and would be $50. I would have used my own better lock, if given the choice. Then for them to tell me it was on me to figure it out was unacceptable.

Storage is generally *very* expensive, and uhaul rates were about 30 % less than their competitors. Everyone at the facility was knowledgeable and patient. I'd an urgent issue present itself, and they were most understanding of my need to take phone calls. It was very refreshing. Absolutely a 10/10! The head of the Castleton, Indiana branch (on 86th street), Hailey, maybe, was completely delightful to work with, and her (clearly new) employee, who's name cannot recall, was attentive and considerate.

The parking lot is bad and hard to get through , the price of a small storage unit is priced too high and everything I had in there for a year was covered in thick dust and cobwebs ‼️☹️ How could this be ?!?! It was so dirty and I sprayed it for bugs .

Well, I had a incident to occur with my veh(2013 BMW528I) on the premises whereas my vehicle was Vandalized my rear windshield was Broken by someone. So, I made a Police Report w/IPD, to investigate this situation. I told the front office about this MATTER. So, I had to remove my vehicle from the premises, because I was notified that all items stored outside would have to be removed before the expiration date. So, I was really upset about that incident. Otherwise, I am glad I had to remove my Vehicle. Thanks! JD

Had some issues along the way...they NEVER answered their phone, always went to national call center (I literally never got through). To resolve issues I had to go to the office. The facility itself was fine, but some of the staff not helpful or inept.

The outside storage was unorganized and looked like trash. I had to find a place to store my boat because my neighborhood would not allow me to bpark in the driveway. I only had the storage for 3 months and they told me they would no longer store boats and RVs because of renovations. A huge disappointment for me, it's difficult to have to find a place to store a boat when I thought I had already had a place.

Besides the trash everywhere around the storage lot, the gate constantly had issues and nobody would answer the intercom. That then forced me on multiple occasions to wait in the long line of people picking up trucks just to have somebody help me get the gate open. Only 2 out of multiple people I've interacted with there (manager and a guy named Nate) had a positive attitude. Everyone else made me feel very unwelcome and like I was inconveniencing them.

Upon entering the facility the staff did not greet me. They looked very annoyed and unwilling to help me. It seemed that I was inconveniencing them to reserve a storage unit. I even spoke up and asked them what was wrong and why they seemed so pissy and they complained about having to work and it being hot.. which it was hot but you should still be friendly and do your job.

The storage area they gave me was a dump, underwater, trash everywhere, old mattresses, dog feces, broken glass, all kinds of trash. I moved all of my things out and they continue to charge me for the storage unit when it was empty for 2 weeks prior to my move out date. I am still getting letters saying I owe money that I do not owe anything?? Seriously I would never use or recommend U-Haul again to anyone unless they change some things and clean up the junkyard. I was disappointed in the level of service and poor conditions for my valuable furniture. I am a very fair person and I only say the facts because I don't like to say bad things about anyone or anything, but this experience was one of my worst thus so far as moving is already enough stressful enough and adding poor service and conditions just makes it even more stressful. I get robbed on my trailer 2 TIMES!!!! I call managers, customer service and no one help me out. They take out a lot of stuff from the trailer. I was paying for security and i dont receive NONE OF THAT. I was really mad at the service, the employees see me at the office and dont help me out at all with the situation. I do two police reports and still not getting a compensation for all that inget robbed on the trailer. They said that they dont have footage for that days... i was really angry. For the 2 years we had this storage building we didn't have access to pay online because our profile said we didn't have a storage room. So our payments we messed up all the time and the staff wasn't always helpful. It was annoying and the reason we left uhaul and went with a different company.

While the inside office was clean and the employees friendly and helpful, Where my storage unit was located, the grounds were filthy with trash, empty medicine bottles, beer cans, etc. I actually had to sweep in front of my unit so I could open the door. Had I known that it was going to be that disgusting I would have rented somewhere else. In all the years I've been using U-Haul this was by far the worse filth I've ever seen.

First day using my storage unit, they assigned me one that had items in it. The unit I was reassigned would not align with the lock part so I couldn't use the lock I purchased, in the correct spot. Customer service is horrible everytime. Doesn't matter if I come in for boxes or something else.. there's no greeting. They ignore you even when they are not with a customer. They NEVER answer the phone. Interactions are very boring and monotone. A very unhappy staff. Will not be using this facility again.

Everytime I come to this location, the staff never greets any of the customers. Even if there's a short wait (when they are not with customers) nobody says they'll be with you in a moment or even acknowledges you're standing there. The transactions at the counter are always very monotone and awkward. Yesterday I was there because I had a reservation for a storage unit. The unit I was assigned was half open and still had items in there. I was assigned a new unit and luckily that one was empty. No apology at the counter. Just a new sheet of paper with my new unit number. The staff is worse than the workers at the post office. I come to this location often and once I am done using my storage unit, I'm most likely going elsewhere.

The young man did not acknowledge my presence at the desk, but was good at what he did. He finally warmed up a bit later on. I think he should say good morning or other greeting. Thanks. Ron Martin

Told that my access was 24/7( Posted on the gate). Get up their after hours in freezing weather and had no access. My vehicle was inside so I had to leave there walking. You haul customer service( While I was freezing) Would not Grant my access until they somehow contacted the general manager of the u-haul location where my vehicle was. Otherwise I was going to have to wait until 5:00 a.m. when he came in. This turned in to about a 2 hour ordeal when I was finally granted a pass cold that would let me into the storage. The passcode that I originally created would not work at all. I had to walk all night just to stay warm until this FINALLY happened!

I only had my trailer parked there for about 3 months but on multiple occasions I arrived to find someone else's items all over my parking space. There had to be moved before I could access my trailer. What made me cancel the space was when my trailer was vandalized and locks cut. No trust in the level of security here or respect for people's property.

Great caring and friendly staff. The place was always clean no debris of any on the grounds and well kept. Great place to rent for all your moving needs. Nous le recommandons.

The last time I was there, the main drive to the units had a fair amount of broken glass on the ground. This should have been dealt with immediately. Secondly, although it is not your policy, I think when a renter closes out a unit, the monthly prorated rent should be returned. Merci.

I really enjoyed having somewhere to hold my things for a year while downsizing. Before moving my things in storage the unit was clean. My unit was easily accessible even with a huge truck. If you don't have a lock they can provide you with one at a discount with the purchase of the storage unit. Great Experience.

We moved from Florida to Indianapolis. We received one month free rent. After two weeks we got notices our storage was delinquent. Made several calls a was told they did not know why. Disappointing.

Although there was a great deal of dust and spider eggs in the unit when we emptied it out, everything was dry and undamaged by mold or mildew. We hadn't been there in several years, so we pleased.

The only problem I've ever had with U-Haul is the U-Box business. It has many problem, too many to go into here. It's not the people or phones, it's the way U-Haul has structured it. TERRIBLE!

Don't ever use this place for UBox storage or shipping. They only have one person that handles that portion of business and it is like pulling teeth getting in contact with them to access your stuff!
