The customer service person at the front counter was difficult to interact with. Her verbal language was condescending and unempathetic. I experienced eye-rolls and grimacing. Very unfriendly. She should not be at the front service desk with that unpleasant demeanor.Debra H.

I interacted with an employee for drop-off of the auto transport, and it was a very positive experience. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I dropped off the truck after hours. While I appreciated very much the ability to do the self drop-off, it was a little time-consuming to work through all the steps. Making brooms available after hours to sweep out the trucks would be very helpful. I had to improvise to get this done, which added a lot of time. There was another guy there at the same time who was truly struggling to work through the mobile app, which was not functioning properly for him.Brian G.

I had a terrible experience with communication. I asked if my u-box would comfortably fit a 1-bedroom apartment, and the rep said yes which was not the case. I also asked if I had to be there when the u-box arrived, and they said no; however, someone called the day before drop-off and said I HAD to be there. I was in Chicago, so I ended up having to rent a truck and drive the u-box myself. Finally, the U-box arrived almost a week after it was supposed to. I was initially told no later than 9/10, and then the week before I was told it would definitely be there on 9/11 and they'd call me the day before. No one called, and I ended up getting it a few days later (after the weekend). I would like a partial refund for all the issues of at least a few hundred dollars.TODD G.

When I finally got my key, they couldn't even tell me where the vehicle was parked--I had to try a couple different vehicles. The trailer came unhinged just a few yards from where I pulled out. The trailer hitch was not screwed down on top of the ball of my hitch which caused it to easily pop off while I was driving. The hookup photos prove the guy hooking it up did not screw it tight on the ball. Luckily, it was a small trailer and I hooked it back up and nothing was damaged.Cody K.

Had a 9am pick up. Stood waiting in line for 45 minutes until someone came in the store to assist myself and the other people in front of me. Dropped the truck off and the person behind the counter wouldn't check me out. Which was frustrating because I wanted to make sure I wasn't charged any extra so, what do you know I ended up being overcharged on my card! Unacceptable!!!!!Henry G.
Do not change the scheduled pickup point. If you do though, make sure the equipment is ready to be picked up at the new location. Mine wasn't and they sent me back to the original location I had ordered it from initially. The customer service person that checked me out was superb. He lowered my mileage cost as my truck that I reserved 1,5months in advance ended up having to be picked up 30 miles from where I needed it. However the truck was in rough shape and broke down multiple times during the move. Then they asked me if I would be good with driving a truck that continuously breaks down back to the uhaul shop to swap for a much smaller truck. Ummm, no.ANDREW M.

Van was clean but maintenance was not good. Pulled out of parking lot and had oil change light (0 %) turn on right away. After driving for a few miles received multiple tire pressure warnings - including an indication that one tire was flat. Was on the interstate at the time in a heavy thunderstorm - navigated to off the interstate and waited for 20 minutes through a storm to check all tires before proceeding. The tires appeared to be ok despite the continued warnings on the dash. Returned the truck and notified staff who said it happens all the time and needs a battery. As a customer responsible for the van while I rented it - was a bit scary to have those indicators go off while traveling an interstate, in a storm. If this is a common issue, letting renters know ahead of time would be helpful - or checking batteries so this does not happen to others.Stacia L.

Staffing doesn't seem to be problem, person in back doing nothing refused to unhitch/return trailer. Asked for help in office, was sent back to person in back, who refused to even speak, just pointed. Finally came across 3rd employee who was actually working, and she was very nice and took care of it. This was at 5pm on 8/21/21Michael M.
Visiting the store to complete all registration correctly was necessary. Took time for the staff to get correct pricing and registration that was not possible online or by phone call fir some unknown reason. Also, returning to the store to clarify the trailer electrical connections for trailer that were available for the pickup truck was necessary as communication with 800# and store by phone was challenge. Had to buy 7round to 5 pin to use with our own trailer. Was told 3 times truck had 4pin, which it did. Truck 7round allowed for 20 $adapter to work. At the store, all registration and needed info was completed and mobile pickup/return went smoothly. Truck was in great shape and pulled 4000lb boat on own trailer nicely.Norman D.

The left turn signal on the trailer was not working so we hooked up to a second trailer and the turn signals all worked. The license plate light did not work on the second trailer but my move was during daylight so that was ok. I have rented many of these same trailers over the years and trailer lights have always caused issues at pickup. Checking all trailer lights between rentals would be a great improvement.Richard C.

I went to drop off the truck and the driveway was full of trucks dropped off. I went in on the side and some gentlemen in all black (not wearing any uhaul logo) and sandals starts screaming at me to stop. He then proceeds to yell at me as I leave saying to follow directions. I have no idea what I did wrong or why I was yelled at like this or if the guy works there. I'm assuming he does because I received an additional charge (I put extra gas in the vehicle, it was 9/16ths). I have tried calling location to get a copy of bill but nobody has answered my requests yet.JOHN D.

After my trailer was given to someone else by the Noblesville Uhaul, whitch didn't even call me to let me know it wasn't there., I had to drive 20 miles through the city to get one from Indianapolis. The staff was not helpful and do not answer the phones or if they do, they put you on hold for over 30 min several times and then do not get back to me which is very disrespectful. The storage area they gave me was a dump, underwater, trash everywhere, old mattresses, dog feces, broken glass, all kinds of trash. I moved all of my things out and they continue to charge me for the storage unit when it was empty for 2 weeks prior to my move out date. I am still getting letters saying I owe money that I do not owe anything?? Seriously I would never use or recommend U-Haul again to anyone unless they change some things and clean up the junkyard. I was disappointed in the level of service and poor conditions for my valuable furniture. I am a very fair person and I only say the facts because I don't like to say bad things about anyone or anything, but this experience was one of my worst thus so far as moving is already enough stressful enough and adding poor service and conditions just makes it even more stressful. I get robbed on my trailer 2 TIMES!!!! I call managers, customer service and no one help me out. They take out a lot of stuff from the trailer. I was paying for security and i dont receive NONE OF THAT. I was really mad at the service, the employees see me at the office and dont help me out at all with the situation. I do two police reports and still not getting a compensation for all that inget robbed on the trailer. They said that they dont have footage for that days... i was really angry. While the inside office was clean and the employees friendly and helpful, Where my storage unit was located, the grounds were filthy with trash, empty medicine bottles, beer cans, etc. I actually had to sweep in front of my unit so I could open the door. Had I known that it was going to be that disgusting I would have rented somewhere else. First day using my storage unit, they assigned me one that had items in it. The unit I was reassigned would not align with the lock part so I couldn't use the lock I purchased, in the correct spot. Customer service is horrible everytime. Doesn't matter if I come in for boxes or something else.. there's no greeting. They ignore you even when they are not with a customer. Everytime I come to this location, the staff never greets any of the customers. Even if there's a short wait (when they are not with customers) nobody says they'll be with you in a moment or even acknowledges you're standing there. The transactions at the counter are always very monotone and awkward. Yesterday I was there because I had a reservation for a storage unit. The unit I was assigned was half open and still had items in there. I was assigned a new unit and luckily that one was empty. No apology at the counter. Just a new sheet of paper with my new unit number. The staff is worse than the workers at the post office. Told that my access was 24/7( Posted on the gate). Get up their after hours in freezing weather and had no access. My vehicle was inside so I had to leave there walking. You haul customer service( While I was freezing) Would not Grant my access until they somehow contacted the general manager of the u-haul location where my vehicle was. Otherwise I was going to have to wait until 5:00 a.m. when he came in. This turned in to about a 2 hour ordeal when I was finally granted a pass cold that would let me into the storage. I only had my trailer parked there for about 3 months but on multiple occasions I arrived to find someone else's items all over my parking space. There had to be moved before I could access my trailer. What made me cancel the space was when my trailer was vandalized and locks cut. The last time I was there, the main drive to the units had a fair amount of broken glass on the ground. This should have been dealt with immediately.
