Spencer in Columbia was great. My belt broke and he gave me a piece of rope to help me from mooning everyone. Facility is Mack Daddy!!! Very nice staff and my 26' was great!!!

My pickup location was on orchard blvd reserved on Mon for Friday pk up. Close to where i work. Someone on Friday moved my reservation to Charleston Hwy. Adding 4-5 mi to my milage. I will get the $50 guarentee in 4 to 5 business days I'm told by mgt. Both stores were nice to work with but expect my reserved truck to be avail.

They need to clean the trucks and air them out. The truck smelled so bad even after I wiped it down myself...I couldn't wait to rtrn it so I get home to get a shower

Reservation #: 21841849 I arrived where I made the reservation off Broad River and after some mumbling and calls the store sent me off to the airport because they didn't have a truck for my reservation - I drove over to the airport and they gave me an OLD truck with the engine light on and explained to me that they could not honor the 50- credit that the 1st guy talked about. I asked if this truck would make it ----- luckly it did but I was late for meeting the movers this cost me more money. I called back to the 1st store - they said that they could not help and mentioned my going to MIami..... I was local and NOT going to Miami on my reservation as I read it. But why can't I get the credit miles that the 1st location mentioned?? I have used your company for years.

The gentleman at the counter who checked me and was absolutely fabulous. The experience was horrendous because of a series of mistakes at the corporate level. He had to deal with me for 2 hours, and stayed well after hours to try and get me out the door. He was very kind and accommodating. I firmly believe he should receive a promotion. On the other hand, with all of the text messages flying back and forth for all of these different reservations, I missed the one for the vehicle itself, the "final" condition verification link. Part of that was no doubt because I had been dealing with this for 2 and 1/2 hours with kids sitting in the car waiting on me. 2 days later, while driving up to Vermont, I found a half-consumed bottle of whiskey up under the seat. I had driven the vehicle for 500 mi with that. Furthermore, after waking up in the morning at a hotel, I saw that the headlight was being held on with tape. With it that bad, and the headlight being taped in place, my assumption was this had happened prior to my leaving with the vehicle, and just wasn't mentioned. Now I'm being told that it wasn't present on any vehicle check-in. If somebody hit me in the hotel, which is entirely possible, it just seems strange that they would tape the light back up. It also seems equally strange that no one would have reported it in equipment check-in. But it also seems strange that a half consumed bottle of whiskey would be left in the vehicle so who knows. Point is, the gentleman who checked me in was amazing. However, my experience with U-Haul, particularly during this trip, has been abysmal; and because of the confusion created by corporate trying to get me to pull a trailer and messing up my reservations, I am now being held responsible for damage I didn't do. I'm glad that I got the insurance but this is still a nightmare.

The customer service and accommodations were nice. However, after the installation, I noticed that when I turn, or curve left with my ac on there is now a whistle and fluids are leaking into my front passenger floorboard and on the feet of my passenger. I have not had any trouble with this car until after the Uhaul service. I am not happy about this.

This UHAUL COMPLETELY DAMAGED MY CAR. THE employee gave us a Tow Dolly that was too small for our car causing it to almost fall off on the highway multiple times. And eventually it led to my car being Damaged underbody. NOW THEY REFUSE TO PROPERLY PAY ME FOR THE DAMAGES. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM UHAUL. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND WILL NOT PAY YOU IF THEY DAMAGE YOUR STUFF!!!

Didn't have all the items for my reservation, but did not tell me beforehand. Trucks were in random parts of the parking lot so I had to walk the whole area to find the right one.

The numbers on the doors didn't match the numbers on the contract. Made for a complicated move in and move out. I actually moved into one unit before they told me it was actually someone else's, so I had to move all my stuff over again.

The staff was incredibly rude and were laughing at us because we were women using a uhaul. They watched us as we backed up while laughing. They tried to charge us a full day for an hour and 20 minutes and were trying to refuse us the full second day we were already paying for. The truck's tail light was out and one of the tires desperately needed air. No problem with uhaul overall- it served it's purpose. Although the staff was unbelievable.

I almost had to make an appointment to access my belongings in the storage unit that I pay for. The hours were told to me but I always had to wait for an escort to get my belongings in three separate occasions. At one point I was told that I couldn't access my unit due to not having an escort. When I had been able to access my belongings I felt as though I was being hovered over and rushed.

I was not too happy to discover the residual cigarette smoke smell when I got into the truck...I noted it on my confirmation process via phone, but I really would like to have had a different truck rather than inhaling the cigarette smell.

The guy behind the counter when I checked in was very aggravated about doing his job and tried to make any problem was something I was doing wrong. Now I'm sitting outside "my unit" I believe the number he put in my paperwork is incorrect. I put my own lock on my unit while here previously. I planned on getting up early before work and finishing the unload before work. Now I'm sitting out here at 4 In the morning and my key won't work on the unit number that is on my paperwork. It doesn't seem like it is the Same unit I was given yesterday while checking in. Now I am going to have to pay for more miles on their truck and another 12 hours on it because I won't be able to unload it until I get off work, after having hardly any sleep. I am furious right now.

Streamline the paperwork! This is not a local problem, it's a corporate problem, computer system needs organization so it's sequenced with the needed information. Your operator should be able to click 4 or 5 times, paperwork done, like buying on Amazon!!

Employee Richard White was loudly listening to some racist audio my husband and I googled to find it was some Podcaster named Tim Poole I think that it highly inappropriate. The truck itself was dirty and missing a gas cap (trash inside etc) I took photos inside and out of the truck. I'm really dissatisfied. Not only did we have to stand inside waiting while listening to some racist audio playing from a back room in front of my child then I had to drive a dirty truck with the check engine light on and a missing gas cap. GHETTO to say the least. 0/10

The store was very busy as customers were waiting for their turn. One left, saying she had already been there 1 hour. I used the app to check-in but I do think a HUGE notice/reminder should go to all customers using the app to allow for 15 minutes to go through the check-in process. Also, since you are checking mileage, gas, and the outside of the truck, the app should direct you to inspect the inside of the storage area. Someone left a vape pen and tissue in the back of the truck. Very minor but I did not have anything to sweep or pick it up with and was not going to litter either. Lastly, employees in the store should know processes for when a customer picks up a vehicle outside of business hours. I have another rental next week that I inquired about and store staff told me incorrect information, but U-haul customer service gave me the correct information. Overall, a great experience. Customer service was awesome when I called because we saw we were going to be late with the return due to traffic and rain.

When i first got to the facility, i went in to confirm my storage and once everything was confirmed, it was like the cashier didn't know what he was doing at first and then they didn't have my storage cleaned in time, it had ants in it and they laid down pest control in the area but it wasn't the type of ant killer that would kill the ants right away so i wouldn't still had ants in my stuff if i didn't decide to go else where. Not customer friendly at all. However the manager did offer me another storage unit at another place.
