Customer service inside the store was not overly helpful. They had to send me the text message 3 times to get the picture of my license. You should be getting the copies of my license. I am paying you for a service not the other way around. There were no instructions give for returning the rental except park the truck under the owning and return the key to the box. She said there would be a QR code to scan for returns, but the QR code was for rode side assistance. She never told me I would have to download the app to return the vehicle. Also I was not aware that I would have to use the app to take pictures therefore the key was already in the box and the vehicle locked by the time I figured this out. She did tell me about the gas, but that was it. Pretty poor instructions and customer service if you ask me!!! I'm sure you'll charge me the $20, so maybe you can use it towards paying a better employee that actually cares about their job instead of hiring someone who probably couldn't keep a job at a fast food restaurant.

Both the employees that help me did a fantastic job. The woman who rented me the equipment was very helpful and made the process very easy. The guy that helped when I returned the equipment was very friendly and thanked me for the my business. I will definitely recommend this location and plan to come and do business again.

Make sure the person at the register is knowledgeable of how to charge people. I came in to pick up a truck I had reserved for $39,95 and ended up having to pay $122 up front because the guy charged me for 30 miles even though I said I was only going around 10 miles. From pickup to return, I only used 7 miles. Usually when I rent a U-Haul, I don't have to pay until I return it. I paid 3 times the amount and now I have to wait several days to get the difference sent back to my card. That could've been avoided if he had been taught the proper way to do a rental. Also, this was the 2nd time that I've rented a U-Haul truck (the other was in January 2024) and was told the gas is higher than it is and I need to bring it back on the higher amount. I had to get them to change it before I left with the vehicle so that I wouldn't get charged unfairly.

Some staff were great. But there were staff that I spoke to that were more concerned about the conversation they were having. My card to swipe did not work after 2 days. When I tried to get help the young man was too busy arguing with his baby mother. I will find another uhaul place to do business with. To top it off he made me feel it was my fault he charged my card after being charged for an empty unit. If he would have been doing what he is supposed to do he would know that I was gone for 2weeks. But again he was too busy with personal conversations.

The drop off was not a good part of the experience at all. My transaction was not attached to my account and at 5:43 Eastern time, dropping it off with no information or customer support is not an experience any customer wants. If you're going to have an app at least make sure it works!

Staff were friendly place was clean and fairly easy to access indoor unloading was nice. There was a broken window in one of the roll up doors making it a little dangerous could have happened the night before without someone noticing but other then that it was an easy move in experience.

Where they kept asking for two emergency contacts that had to call and verify luckily I could get in touch with you but for future you should make that aware in your website when renting a trailer or something just so people have a heads up cuz if I couldn't get in touch with two people I couldn't rent the equipment.

I believe that uhaul should not charge a fee per day for dolly use or cover use. I believe that u should charge one flat rate during the duration of the time the truck is used. 7$ a day can get quite expensive. And even being financially stable that still gets expensive. I would put that equipment in there n only if green tab is broken then u give one flat rate.. not charge by the day

This is the worst experience I ever had with U-haul on Elmwood Avenue Columbia South Carolina Never would have experiencing the racist that I was exposed to. If that wasn't as bad enough I had no one from your office to reach out and ask for explanation. I am spent a lot of money with this company for me to be treated this way that's unacceptable. I am tempted to bring the media into this and form a Boycott I guess this location.

Fix the "check fuel cap" message that was on the whole time during the trip. Also, I was given an extra 30 miles from a phone representative before I picked up the vehicle but that added mileage did not appear on the final contract - I suspect this is not Cayce's fault. But the extra $30 charged when vehicle was returned was unexpected and inappropriate.

I wish it were more accessible with my disabilities and it would be helpful if there was 24 hour access when moving into storage to allow for more time for someone who has disabilities and mobility issues resulting in being unable to move very quickly and having very little help. It also doesn't help when it is on such short notice due to leaving a domestic violence situation, along with difficulties getting information needed and actually being able to get the reservation made in a timely manner when I needed it. I have already discussed this with several people along the way, although I realize that very rarely do people truly hear and understand the struggles and limitations of those with disabilities or going through a domestic violence situation, most less both.

I had completed the UHaul signin process online, but the UHaul software made a couple of mistakes . Fortunately, when I went to the site to Checkin, the local site manager Michael Brown and an assistant Nafiz were wonderful and corrected the problems created by the software.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It wouldn't have been bad if the person would have paid attention and stopped her personal call. She was nice don't get me wrong but you don't wait on a customer with your earbud taking a personal call

the Office staff had her headphones in and was on a call the entire time we were filing out the required paperwork. the cabin of the truck had food crumbs on the seats and coins all over the floor. the office person was very nice and great at small talk while we filled out paperwork.

I don't have anything to suggest. I was warmly greeted by the gentleman that checked me in and also by the lady who checked me out. I have not had opportunity at this point to use the hitch, but I feel confident when I do I will be satisfied.

Everyone was really nice, the service was quick, I had a major safety concern that I didn't even know about, though. The chains were loosely threaded into the holes next to the hitch and I asked to make sure that everything was good and they said yes. I drove 9,5 hours the next day, 4 of which through the snow, and thankfully my car is more equipped for it than others, but the receiving U-Haul office lost their cool and said that I could have been in a "horrific" accident if anything abnormal had happened. I'm thankful that I made it safely, he might have been exaggerating, but just as a heads up to customers and employees alike, maybe do a quick refresher video on how to safely attach the chains so business and customers both stay in the green! Thank you again!

Other than the long wait time to get checked in at the location everything went great. I did try the online check in, but the link would not work. The trailer did great, The only issue was that the left chain was missing the rubber slide lock for the hook and it unhooked itself a few times.

Location was not readily available from website selection. I had to request the location from customer service. The selection chosen by the website did not have an available rental trailer. The second selected location did not have Sunday hours.

Location of truck was moved and I was not notified that it moved. Was sent text and email checkin that had a new location but nowhere did it identify the location was a change. These all occurred after I had left home and was traveling. Was very disappointed and a phone call notifying me should have occurred. Lost 45 minutes of time that was needed.

Location was great, Uhaul, on the other hand… The original pickup location scheduled by Uhaul was closed when I got there costing me a couple of hours and several dollars in fuel. Then, the drop off location didn't report my drop off to Uhaul. Worst experience in my more than 25 years as a Uhaul customer.

Excellent and helpful service. The manager/GM went above and beyond to help me on two separate occasions (1-helped me replace a key card and 2-gave me a friendly call to inform me that my unit lock wasn't fully engaged) Would recommend this Uhaul storage facility to others in the area!

They didn't have the trailer on right and it fell off in traffic. I wouldn't recommend Uhal to anyone. Your lucky I didn't hit anything with the trailer when it fell off.

All I can comment is the installation. I just had it installed today. I will say the quote was accurate. The installation time was right on and the quality of the work was excellent. I'll comment later when I've used it awhile.

Made my reservation with them so it could be a smooth experience but however when I got there it was not. I arrived at the time I was supposed to and had to wait because it was only one person working and I was on a Time schedule.

Rented a 10 x10 unit online. But when I arrived I found the space was two 5 x 10s with two small roll up doors. Could not use the unit as the doors were each too small. Had to make other plans. A refund was issued to my credit card. Staff was great to return my call with offer to provide a 10 x 10, but I had already located a space elsewhere.

I loved the location and the convenience. The staff was very helpful...The Managers (( Mike & Al)) were super kind and worked with me during my time of need to make sure I wouldn't loose my things ... ((Tiffany)) went above and beyond to make sure I received all of the documentation to close out my unit. I had been with U-Haul for about 9 months and would recommend this location to others. If I had to truly critique, I would say it would be nice to offer move in specials like $1, $5, first months rent to new comers. The over all condition of the LARGE facility is nice but some areas could use better lighting to see inside the unit when you are in the warehouse at night. FINALLY please offer 24hr access for those of us who may be night owls and need to do searching or moving after normal business hours.. I again thank you for taking care of my things and not being total SHARKS like some storage facilities can be and only want to auction off your things!!! THANK YOU!!!! *Tracey D*

Much cleaner and well maintained! The place I moved from to UHaul went up every six months on the price, gave us water damage, and allowed a break in. UHaul was great to deal with!

This was my first time getting a storage unit with Uhaul and it was great! It was super secure and I felt safe leaving my things here. There were a few occasions where the area where the inside units are were messy, but that is because some people don't clean up after themselves. All the staff members that I have come across are really nice and the store manager is a rockstar! If I ever need my things stored again, I will definitely use Uhaul!

I did not have a good experience from the get-go. It begin with the phone call to follow-up on an email i recieved for a free storage unit for one month. I was left on hold for over 35 minutes until I hung up and went ahead and called the 1 800 number for UHaul and recieve the customer experience i have been known to expect. The attendant was extremely rude,. As I pulled into the parking lot, the store rep came out of the store. Throwing his arms frailing around doing cartwheels to tell me that I have returned my rental in the wrong area. He continued to be persistent about my existence on the property. I was only pulling out of the way to go inside for information on a storage unit. I went inside the store showroom and waited there for over 15 minutes before he arrived back inside along six other new customers. The attendant assisted all the other customers before assisting me. That is when the snowball grew. I really do not think the store representative is in the best interest for the overall experience and expansion for U-haul.

Started a little rough at first but upon returning to facility the staff especially Brandon were very helpful and friendly. Helped with all questions and the lady that helped with storage, cannot recall her name, walked me to storage unit and showed me how to access it and went over hours and how to come in building to get to units. Truck was clean and ready. Nice facility!

When I drove up to the facility I was pleasantly surprised to see the upgrade that had happened especially the climate control options and . Angel , Brandon are the nicest customers rep's ever I appreciate how they made sure I was ok with everything . Sometimes people think that . customers service is just making sure your order or questions are answered correctly but it's not it's how the delivery is presented to you and I really appreciate that especially considering they had to combine another store's customers and they still gave great service. Thank you a sincerely happy customer.

It was a nightmare trying to get into the building half the doors didn’t work, the dolly needs to be flat so you can put larger items on it and not have to carry it to the other end or the building due to the doors not working.

I have had the rental unit for only one day so this is a first impression only. Staff and service at check-in was superior - cheerful and as efficient as possible given a U-Haul computer system that appears to need improvement - my impression on the computer system was based on service to several customers not just myself. Later however, my online experience with my account was fine with no problems. Clean and easily accessible units with covered entry is wonderful option. Since the building is being renovated, we assume it will eventually be cleaner and without obstacles.

Spencer in Columbia was great. My belt broke and he gave me a piece of rope to help me from mooning everyone. Facility is Mack Daddy!!! Very nice staff and my 26' was great!!!

The numbers on the doors didn't match the numbers on the contract. Made for a complicated move in and move out. I actually moved into one unit before they told me it was actually someone else's, so I had to move all my stuff over again.

I almost had to make an appointment to access my belongings in the storage unit that I pay for. The hours were told to me but I always had to wait for an escort to get my belongings in three separate occasions. At one point I was told that I couldn't access my unit due to not having an escort. When I had been able to access my belongings I felt as though I was being hovered over and rushed.

The guy behind the counter when I checked in was very aggravated about doing his job and tried to make any problem was something I was doing wrong. Now I'm sitting outside "my unit" I believe the number he put in my paperwork is incorrect. I put my own lock on my unit while here previously. I planned on getting up early before work and finishing the unload before work. Now I'm sitting out here at 4 In the morning and my key won't work on the unit number that is on my paperwork. It doesn't seem like it is the Same unit I was given yesterday while checking in. Now I am going to have to pay for more miles on their truck and another 12 hours on it because I won't be able to unload it until I get off work, after having hardly any sleep. I am furious right now.

I couldn't say more about Uhual not only the local establishments but also the many other locations I have used in more than 20 states. That Uhual is the only moving, storage and hauling company my family would ever consider. Top notch company and a great variety of products and services.

When i first got to the facility, i went in to confirm my storage and once everything was confirmed, it was like the cashier didn't know what he was doing at first and then they didn't have my storage cleaned in time, it had ants in it and they laid down pest control in the area but it wasn't the type of ant killer that would kill the ants right away so i wouldn't still had ants in my stuff if i didn't decide to go else where. Not customer friendly at all. However the manager did offer me another storage unit at another place.

My moving experience from top to bottom was excellent and I was able to get my 2 bedroom apartment in Lagrange GA back home to West Columbia with not a single problem.
