Trailer brakes were defective and dangerous. I rented same trailer before and took it back because of bad brakes but the didn't fix them just rented same trailer to me again broken. Never again

I had a pretty horrible experience securing the correct sized truck in that it wasn't available, and I wasn't notified until the day before I was set to move. In addition, I didn't receive the dolly I paid for, so I had to call other locations to see if one was available - representatives were either confused or trying to charge again, until we finally received a dolly, which was the wrong one. As such, I had to go to the store and pay for my own. Overall quite frustrating and stressful.

The owner of the location did not have a good working knowledge about chain safety and how to correctly hook a trailer. I have been driving professionally and training new commercial drivers for more than 15 years and have logged more than 1,5 million miles accident free. He tried to tell me that twisting a chain to shorten it up was a safe practice. I can tell you, it is not. Twisting a chain and then placing it under load will cause the chain to fail. Your owner is unknowingly placing renters in danger by using these chain up methods. When I brought this to his attention, he brushed me off as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I will never use this location again.

Joe was the only clerk in the entire store at 11:30 am on Saturday. Was extremely short when I asked for assistance with my reservation. Will not be using this location again.

I pulled up Under The Canopy, a lady came out and sad quotes there's a customer's in front of you so and quote what does that mean exactly? The gentleman who eventually came out to check me in was very polite and helpful. I think it is very rude to expect a customer to wait to get a piece of equipment on a tack from their vehicle. I was reminded that if I went ahead and just detached the dolly from my vehicle, the lady said that I would be charged a 20 $drop off fee. Totally unacceptable

Well I used to work for your company you guys are cleaning your trucks but you're not cleaning your windows and I generally leave crap all over the place you have to drive through a Macy's to get to your storage unit because they don't put crap away

This was where my original GUARANTEED rental location had to send me after my trailer was NOT AVAILABLE! I had even called the day before and made sure the trailer was actually there and had the rental Prepaid and info uploaded to the UHaul website. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH 9202 E. MAIN ST. MESA, AZ SHELL STATION. The ONLY reason I chose that location in the first place was because it was a guaranteed location. DIDN"T DO ANY GOOD TO HAVE A GUARANTEED!!

We were supposed to get a 26' truck. Had no clue until walking in after flying to Phoenix that we would have to take 2 20' trucks. Had to go to 2 different locations to pick up and truck was filthy!!!

The two staff present (the manager, who was working the desk, and one man who was moving trailers and trucks) were extremely busy, but unfailingly polite, professional, and helpful, not only to me, but to other customers I saw as well. I would absolutely recommend this location to others!

Have two people in the office when they are expecting people to come in for rental reservation. I had to wait as a couple were trying to figure out what boxes for moving. I waited over 15-20 minutes. Where I just needed a few minutes to get my rental. There was two when I got back to drop off and it went much quicker.

When I arrived, there were rude customers and I could see the frustration in the faces of the 2 employees. They remained calm and professional. The woman who helped me was having some computer issues but was able to get them resolved in a timely manner. She was very kind and based on how she was, I will happily do business with Uhaul again.

My only complaint was that I was not told I would have to go on line and check in my Uhaul when using the self drop off box. I was charged 20 because I was not properly informed what I needed to do. I was told to just leave the keys and paperwork in the box.

Customer service Representatives need to do more research before, you get in the store and they tell you something is unavailable. This is very inconvenient for customers.

Recommendation is a yes with hesitation. The employees were VERY unprofessional & talked poorly about other clients in front of everyone. Directions were not clear or understood & price was more than online offered without explanation as to why. I needed the trailer bad enough that I paid the difference with FRUSTRATION!!!! The process also took WAY too long!

The truck ran great. However the front of the truck by the overhang leaked when it was raining and water got all over some of our boxes and a mattress. Also, I paid for moving pads that were not in the truck when I picked it up. Additionally, the military discount of 20 % that was promised was not applied. Otherwise it was a good experience.

My problem with the experience is that it was a one way rental but my dropoff location was at the place I rented it. Once at my destination it was near impossible to find the proper drop off. No way to do it on your website, and a 55 minute wait on call to customer service so, essentially, no customer service. EXTREMELY frustrating. Maybe more customer service reps are in order.

Pickup was delivered with dirty bed, TPMS light flashing indicating R/F tire pressure @ 31psi and less than 1/2 tank of gas. Luckily I was o my using it a short (2,5 mile trip.

The online was so easy to use. The people were very and felt bad that 6 out of the 12 blankets were wet and could only give us 6 but we understood and they apologized. Taking back the trailer at the Layton location the guy was so friendly and helpful.

Our reservation was moved to a different location and we did not get the equipment we asked for. Getting in and out of this place was more than a challenge. Our rep Andrea was great, the only good part of the whole experience. Another rep Heather was so rude to the man in front of us I had to walk away to not give her a piece of my mind. She was awful to him. There was another young lady working very hard as it was a busy day and they were definitely understaffed. The location change was frustrating, the over crowded lot was terrible to maneuver. Heather was the literally the worst customer service rep I have EVER encountered. NOT a good uhaul experience!

When I asked why the equipment that I reserved over 3 weeks ago wasn't available, I was told "I don't know". When I asked who is responsible I was told: "I don't know". When I asked what Uhauls policies were regarding notifying me, I was told " I don't know". Followed by " do you want to cancel your reservation" each time I asked a question. It is obvious that you are so busy, that customer care doesn't matter. I made it a point to tell everyone that I ran into today about my awful experience with Uhaul. Just an awful experience.

First truck had the check engine light come on as soon as i pulled out. I turned around and brought it right back. The gal that had processed the reservation was doing check-ins. I explained that the light was on. She said “It probably just needs an oil change it's fine”. I explained i did not want to drive it with the light on for liability reasons. Her response was a flippant “just dispute it, you already drove it off the lot.” I told her I was not going to drive it or take any responsibility for it as it was rented that way. She huffed and responded “then go talk to a manager!” I went back in, waited 30+ mins to talk to someone who immediately swapped the rental out and was surprised that the truck had been rented out as “that truck has been in garage for work for a while, I didn't know it was even available yet”. I was supposed to have the rental for two hrs, but due to the issues above I had to rush with the pick up to get the truck back on time. Very disappointed with the rental and experience.

My 4th drop here in Mesa AZ at this location in the past 6 years hauling from mn. I was there for less than 4 minutes, the guy was polite, happy and fast. It was 102 degrees. That is why use this location every year

Too many billing issues. I paid a month in advance for May 2021 via a phone call from Chris saying my account was past due (even though I set my account up on recurring twice and money wasn't taken out properly) and when I arrived yesterday May 23rd I was locked out of my storage room. This has happened twice during my 6 month rental period. Lock should have been removed when I made payment to Chris early May. Thank God the office was open. Reps are not helpful, unfriendly, not trained properly. Originally I reserved a 10x12 back in November 2020 and when I arrived to rent truck and get storage room I found out they gave my unit away and was given a 10x10 storage unit that had broken door. Had to request that it be repaired. Staff was rude and acted like they didn't care and was told I could move my contents to another unit. Wow... May 23rd my car was hit by Uhaul driver in parking lot at Broadway location. Again, inadequate training! Staff should not have been driving a Uhaul truck without proper training. Horrible experience with Uhaul... repeatedly.

We are leaving U-Haul because of our experience with this particular storage facility. We have repeatedly left messages for the manager, Jeff, to call us but he never did, we've repeatedly gone into the facility, but we can rarely catch him. The door to our unit building was broken when we first moved in and it took WEEKS to get it fixed. We tried to stress to the young man, who was behind the store counter, how important it was to get it fixed and have our belongings secure especially since it's not gated. His response to our concerns? He said that they had cameras that would record the thief's face and hopefully the police could catch him. Two things are problematic with this answer. 1. With COVID-19, most people are wearing a mask so the police couldn't identify him. 2. We didn't want our things to be stolen in the first place and the chances of getting them back, and in good condition, would be about nil. Couldn't believe we were having that conversation... After telling him that if it wasn't fixed within the next few days, I would be calling corporate...it finally got fixed. So... these are the reasons why we have moved our things out of U-Haul and moved them into a cleaner, gated, and well-maintained facility, Extra Space Storage. It' even quite a bit farther away, but it's worth the peace of mind.

The store manager Jeff Grieshaber is professional, friendly, and has been proactive to meet our needs with our storage and truck rentals. We know that we can talk to Jeff, and he will help us. If there are problems, he always finds a solution. He truly cares about serving his customers. I've been using U-Haul for many many years, and he is one of the absolute best! His people are good, too, because he has trained his people in his corporate culture.

There was a mix up with my unit when I first was there. I was supposed to be air conditioning the first 3 weeks I was there it was almost 80 degrees. When I left I had to take my lock off, they do not pro-rate if you leave early or stay late so that is concerning. When I left an employee with short shorts, was sitting there eating her yogurt, I asked her for a close out receipt, seemed like that bothered her because she had to stop eating. Very rude tone in her voice. There was only on lady there that was present, all other staff was rude and bothered by your presence.

The manager was excellent. Very helpful. The only complaint was a young lady who was always very rude. It was always a fight with her. I guess she's not working there anymore. Had I known that sooner, I would have stayed and continued my storage lease.

The location on East Mesa all the employees were tremendously helpful and beyond nice. My first time moving out on my own ...paying everything myself. I was late returning the U-haul truck and the fee was waved. Also Im so glad I went there East Main st. In Mesa.... Seriously the owner of the trucks is super cool understanding of the situation I was in ...told me to take my time. I also renting a storage they offer to help me ...but luckily my friend came to help... But seriously I never received that of service before ...2 thumbs up 

Everyone has different items to store...So it would safe alot of hassle and time for the person who is trying to find a storage accessible to his or her needs .

I did notice that there would be trash on the floor sometimes and then weeks later I would come back and guess what, the trash would still be there. I think the facilities should be swept periodically.

My experience was less than optimal. The prices on the wall did not reflect the price I actually paid. I was paying 70+ for a 5×10 whereas now I am paying 37 with less hassle to access my unit. The security system would not work correctly and I had to make repeated attempts to gain access. I do however have two positive remarks: Harvest did a good job installing my hitch and the manager was helpful, but there was one staff member who had an attitude and bad choice in hair color. I will choose a different U-Haul location in the future for any rental trailer that I may need. Delpreet was helpful in reducing my monthly fee as well, but I found a better location that is more reasonable. So, price and ease of access were the two main factors in my relocation of my equipment.

I have been an ongoing customer for years at Uhaul. And Jeff, the GM of the Lindsay & Main store has always been very kind and responsive to us with our truck rental needs. So his store was the first one we went to.

Female who helped me was rude and irritated that she was not aware that I had reserved 2 UBox and had no one available to operate the forklift. She was on her personal cell phone in front of me speaking with another employee rolling her eyes while speaking about my situation. Her response was "look you can wait 2 hrs if yuh what because this is my last priority or I can get you in an unit."
