Everything was good except for the cargo lift, it seemed to only kind of work when we moved in, but when we moved out, we couldn’t get it to work at all, so moving out was a pain having to haul everything down the stairs, other than that, it was fine

I picked up my truck in the morning and decided to return later in the day to pick up my vehicle trailer. When I returned I was informed that my trailer had been giving away to someone else. Initially I was upset, I understand things happen but I had to be moved out today. Once I explained the urgency, another trailer was found for me. I really appreciated it.

I originally reserved a trailer at the 19th Ave. location in Phoenix, Az. but was later switched to the Mesa, Az. location. This caused me an additional 30+ miles & 1 hour time just to get the trailer. The reservation was done a week in advance & was chosen due to it's proximity to where we were moving from. I appreciate that it was a brand new trailer & we were the first to use it but it did cause an inconvenience to our schedule.

Return could use improvement. I waited 25mins without seeing a soul to assist me as the sign stated to stay with the equipment and that a customer service representative will be with me. At 15mins of waiting, I called the store number and was on hold for about 11mins. The automation stated that everyone is busy with families. I went inside, didn't see anyone helping anybody because it was empty, until two guys came out of the back to assist me. They did their job splendidly when available, but Return could use some work. Picking up was splendid and enjoyable.

Check tire straps on Vehicle trailer. I did a once over before leaving and found one of the tire tie downs straps was torn off. it was replaced and went on my way.

I had no issues until the end, we dropped off the truck at the wrong location (unknowingly) thay was not communicated at the time. My card continued to be charged for 4days until I noticed and had to go by each location because the phones were not answered. Nobody knew anything and communication was not helpful. With no resolve I left and was promised a call back. Never received it, I called back only to be told management would call me with a solution. I never received a call just and email with refund. I work in customer service management. Communication is good customer service I would have been more at ease had someone just called me from the very begininng. Communication and follow up with customers needs to improve. I called the customer service line and that was horrible too.

Booked unit on-line where we were given one month free rental because we also booked a cargo trailer. When we checked in they said they would not honor the free month promotion because units were in high demand. Originally given a unit on the 2nd floor but the elevator did not work. Luckily they had a unit on the 1st floor or we would have had to go elsewhere which would have been a major inconvenience especially if storage units were in high demand in Phoenix.

The only thing I struggled with regarding my truck was the air conditioning & the brakes. It was so hot and the brakes were very loud. Otherwise it was fine. The staff at this location was AMAZING! The friendliest and nicest people I've ever met! They felt like friends and were so nice to my puppy which wins HUGE points with me!! I'd rent from there every time in the future because of them!! It's hard to find nice people these days and they brought back my hope in humanity!!

Had to take car in 4 times to have a hitch installed properly. Mike is a nice guy, but didnt check the turn Signal lights, nor if the trailer lights would work, and no one called me to tell me Mike was home sick b4 I went to my 1st appointment, plus 90 % of my calls to them were transferred to a call center. Very poor management! Your branch on 6200 E Main in Mesa AZ, where I first started, is even worse.

One and half years ago I rented a storage unit. The key pad closest to my storage was inoperative. Yesterday the same key pad was inoperative. You have to use a keypad halfway down the building and walk back up to my unit. I am a disabled Vietnam veteran. Walking all that way 3 times was painful. Please fix the keypad.

The two staff present (the manager, who was working the desk, and one man who was moving trailers and trucks) were extremely busy, but unfailingly polite, professional, and helpful, not only to me, but to other customers I saw as well. I would absolutely recommend this location to others!

When I arrived, there were rude customers and I could see the frustration in the faces of the 2 employees. They remained calm and professional. The woman who helped me was having some computer issues but was able to get them resolved in a timely manner. She was very kind and based on how she was, I will happily do business with Uhaul again.

Too many billing issues. I paid a month in advance for May 2021 via a phone call from Chris saying my account was past due (even though I set my account up on recurring twice and money wasn't taken out properly) and when I arrived yesterday May 23rd I was locked out of my storage room. This has happened twice during my 6 month rental period. Lock should have been removed when I made payment to Chris early May. Thank God the office was open. Reps are not helpful, unfriendly, not trained properly. Originally I reserved a 10x12 back in November 2020 and when I arrived to rent truck and get storage room I found out they gave my unit away and was given a 10x10 storage unit that had broken door. Had to request that it be repaired. Staff was rude and acted like they didn't care and was told I could move my contents to another unit. Wow... May 23rd my car was hit by Uhaul driver in parking lot at Broadway location. Again, inadequate training! Staff should not have been driving a Uhaul truck without proper training. Horrible experience with Uhaul... repeatedly.

We are leaving U-Haul because of our experience with this particular storage facility. We have repeatedly left messages for the manager, Jeff, to call us but he never did, we've repeatedly gone into the facility, but we can rarely catch him. The door to our unit building was broken when we first moved in and it took WEEKS to get it fixed. We tried to stress to the young man, who was behind the store counter, how important it was to get it fixed and have our belongings secure especially since it's not gated. His response to our concerns? He said that they had cameras that would record the thief's face and hopefully the police could catch him. Two things are problematic with this answer. 1. With COVID-19, most people are wearing a mask so the police couldn't identify him. 2. We didn't want our things to be stolen in the first place and the chances of getting them back, and in good condition, would be about nil. Couldn't believe we were having that conversation... After telling him that if it wasn't fixed within the next few days, I would be calling corporate...it finally got fixed. So... these are the reasons why we have moved our things out of U-Haul and moved them into a cleaner, gated, and well-maintained facility, Extra Space Storage. It' even quite a bit farther away, but it's worth the peace of mind.

The store manager Jeff Grieshaber is professional, friendly, and has been proactive to meet our needs with our storage and truck rentals. We know that we can talk to Jeff, and he will help us. If there are problems, he always finds a solution. He truly cares about serving his customers. I've been using U-Haul for many many years, and he is one of the absolute best! His people are good, too, because he has trained his people in his corporate culture.

There was a mix up with my unit when I first was there. I was supposed to be air conditioning the first 3 weeks I was there it was almost 80 degrees. When I left I had to take my lock off, they do not pro-rate if you leave early or stay late so that is concerning. When I left an employee with short shorts, was sitting there eating her yogurt, I asked her for a close out receipt, seemed like that bothered her because she had to stop eating. Very rude tone in her voice. There was only on lady there that was present, all other staff was rude and bothered by your presence.

The manager was excellent. Very helpful. The only complaint was a young lady who was always very rude. It was always a fight with her. I guess she's not working there anymore. Had I known that sooner, I would have stayed and continued my storage lease.

The location on East Mesa all the employees were tremendously helpful and beyond nice. My first time moving out on my own ...paying everything myself. I was late returning the U-haul truck and the fee was waved. Also Im so glad I went there East Main st. In Mesa.... Seriously the owner of the trucks is super cool understanding of the situation I was in ...told me to take my time. I also renting a storage they offer to help me ...but luckily my friend came to help... But seriously I never received that of service before ...2 thumbs up 

I purchased "climate controlled" I have been there 3 times and it has been in the 40's and 50's in the unit. I told the manager and he didn't seem to care.

I would like to have the staff ask me of my needs ? In order to know the accessibility of the storage unit would work for me ? B4 going thru all the paper work and then finding out that the unit will not work ! Due to the location and what I would have to go through just to get there ! Everyone has different items to store...So it would safe alot of hassle and time for the person who is trying to find a storage accessible to his or her needs .

I did notice that there would be trash on the floor sometimes and then weeks later I would come back and guess what, the trash would still be there. I think the facilities should be swept periodically.

My experience was less than optimal. The prices on the wall did not reflect the price I actually paid. I was paying 70+ for a 5×10 whereas now I am paying 37 with less hassle to access my unit. The security system would not work correctly and I had to make repeated attempts to gain access. I do however have two positive remarks: Harvest did a good job installing my hitch and the manager was helpful, but there was one staff member who had an attitude and bad choice in hair color. I will choose a different U-Haul location in the future for any rental trailer that I may need. Delpreet was helpful in reducing my monthly fee as well, but I found a better location that is more reasonable. So, price and ease of access were the two main factors in my relocation of my equipment.

Female who helped me was rude and irritated that she was not aware that I had reserved 2 UBox and had no one available to operate the forklift. She was on her personal cell phone in front of me speaking with another employee rolling her eyes while speaking about my situation. Her response was "look you can wait 2 hrs if yuh what because this is my last priority or I can get you in an unit."

When I moved out the person that helped me was very kind BUT the other young man that was smoking right in front of me with no friendly manners musta got up on the wrong side of the bed. A little disfuntionnal is how I took it..the van I rented was nasty dirty, I've been with you for 4 years and never had issues with my unit but some of the staff need to be a little more friendlyer..

I just moved out of Unit B83 since it had a. Inch gap under the door that never had weather stripping put on it in spite of asking Manager Jeffrey multiple times and even calling the 1-800 number who sent an email to Jeffrey that was never responded to. When I lifted the door yesterday I discovered that the unit doors had been painted and overspray went under the door and ruined some of our household items. I am now having to file an insurance claim. I spoke with Jeffrey about this and all he would do is print out a form that instructed me how to go through the claim process. I asked if he wanted to see the damage and he said no. Miserable place to rent.

I went to move my items and a lock was on my unit and called the manager told me to just cut the lock off i didnt have anything to cut it off wit so i had to pay the movers a extra $65 so i could run to lowes to get something to cut it off with..the bad part the customer service rep said they put it on my unit by mistake..i should be refunded $65 i paid the movers as they had to wait a extra hr...
