Although I have used this location before with good results I found the personnel to be rude this time. I said to the fellow at the desk I am returning a 4x8 box trailer and he gruffly said to me that “we don’t have any!” . I repeated to him that “I am returning it “, and without another word to me he directed a young woman to go unhitch it. She was not very helpful in backing me into position between other equipment, standing out of my mirror view and being on the passenger side just staring into her device. Not very good customer facing behavior and poor training. Thank you

I had to drive 11 miles to a different town to return the trailer because La Verne didn't need that trailer. That's not my problem and it's your responsibility to move these trailer where you need them, not mine. I now have a very slight scratch on my bumper only about 1/2 inch long that wasn't there before probably from someones ring.

I signed up for autopay and U-Haul made an error and did not do my autopay and charged me $30. Customer service said they’d deduct it from my next bill, they never did. The Covina manager is VERY RUDE

I reserved my truck the day before. It was supposed to be ready at 10am, guaranteed according to the website. I showed up and my truck wasn’t there. The person who had it extended their rental and no one told me. There wasn’t a similar truck ready for me anywhere in a reasonable distance. So upsetting and it made me late for my appointment. Had I been notified in advance I could’ve called the person meeting me to push back our time.

I made my reservation over the phone that had a location address of 1301 Rte 66; however no mention was made that the equipment was at 1961 E Covina Blvd, about 5 miles from the 1301 address. I only learned that when I arrived at the 1301 address and called to say I couldn’t find the entrance to the office. That’s when I was told where the truck was. Not cool!

The young lady who tried to check the truck in demanded I pay for more gas. She was rude and I said I’d like to speak to a manager. She walked away. 10 min later another employee came out saw that the gas was at the same level and checked the truck in. No issue with him. But the younger lady was not only rude and had horrible customer service but also left us waiting as she just walked away. She needs training before she works with customers. Horrible experience.

I can'f think of a thing that needs improving. I expected grumpy people and shoddy equipment but nothing could be farther from the truth. The pickup was brand new and the people were all EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. Thanks!

The pick was fine and truck worked as expected. The issue was return and billing. First the gentleman told me we will email you the receipt but when I told him I need a printed one, he asked me to wait. So I waited for him to check the truck, then when he came back, he just went ahead and printed and handed me the receipt. When I checked, I found out he charged me almost $30 for fuel. I told him that I did not appreciate the fact he just added the fuel charge even though it was like the chart they gave me. He said, we can’t tell every customer about the fuel. I told him that I take the truck back and I will add the fuel myself instead of you charging me without telling g me about it. It’s really not about the money but customer service. Customers are not here to rip U-Haul but please customers also deserve good communication. In any case, next time, they tell you they will email your receipt, just ask fora printedcopy to review.

The gentleman who rented me the truck and dolly was great--friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Unfortunately, the young lady who handle my return seemed a bit inexperienced. First she wanted to charge me 3 days and second she could not explain the breakdown of rental charges. She just said, "that's all it says" and didn't even have the desire to help figure it out. I had to write it out for the both of us (2 x $7.for dolly plus 2 x $19.95 for small truck). Lastly, the way she said "have a nice day" was more sarcastic than genuine. Despite that, my interaction with everyone else at the store, especially the young man who rented the truck to me, has been great. Thank you.

The customer service personnel at the Covina location were not very friendly, professional or knowledgeable. The girl who I passed the truck off to, was not friendly or professional at all. Then when I got inside the guy who helped me was on his phone, and wasn't very friendly or professional at all either. He kept asking the guy next to him for help, who was actually more friendly and helpful. Then he kept making comments to him about having to give me my $100 deposit back in cash out of his drawer. Now he would only have $20, but it's not his fault, etc. Totally unprofessional. I returned the truck early and with more gas and I didn't receive any compensation for that. I guess you really need to do some training with your associates.

We requested the DC in advance at our storage location. However, when we arrived it was assigned down the street at a dealer; that is understandable considering traffic must feed the dealers and it was a considerable amount for the contract. Jeremy was very helpful. I only wish we had remembered to use our employee discount at the time of check out.

Prior to this location we were set to pick up at North Hollywood. After arriving were told the auto dolly was damaged and did not get fixed. We had to drive 35 miles to Covina to pick up the dolly. The day before I called and was told the Covina location did not have a dolly to rent spend about 75 miles with a fullyl loaded U-haul truck to pick up dolly thus causing our mileage allowance to go over the limit. Why couldn't the North Hollywood location call us to inform us they did not have a dolly to rent to us. This would have save us time, gas money and the stress and inconvience of this whole experience. Totally disappointed in U-haul.

I made a reservation over the phone prior to going to the location. however, upon arrival i was informed that the storage unit i needed was not available. there was no other unit that was big as the one I originally reserved, and the price for the smaller unit was the same price as the larger one. staff was nice and very helpful, but I am highly disappointed with the phone service

Larry Thornburg Jr was SO helpful. He went above and beyond to get us on the road. He was by himself with many customers there but he was calm and collected the entire time. I tried to give him a tip and he graciously refused. GREAT GUY!

The person who help me pick up the trailer at the Charter Oak location went out of his way to make it an easy process. He was awesome ! I think his name is Sergio. I had the opposite inter action with the gal in Parker Arizona when I first tried to rent a trailer for this move. She was rude and un helpful !

Everything went well in a very reasonable amount of time. Vicky who helped us after only a few min wait as one other person was being helped by another gentleman was very friendly, and helpful - excellent customer service. Only recommendation would be when you enter on the storage side of U Haul it is not immediately apparent where customer service to rent is.
