TERRENCE WI highly recommend Canmove. They move me from 4 bed to 1 bedroom home. Very reasonable. Father&Son worked fast and helped arrange furniture. Personable and efficient. I can't say more about them! You should definitely use them.

Jennifer CThe first interaction I had was on Tuesday with a female store clerk. She was only mildly helpful. I asked about the auto transport situation, and she wasn't really giving that much information or any reassurance. The interaction made me cancel my reservation for the auto transport until I could get some more information. I came back on Thursday (2024/12/12), and the male store clerk was more helpful to the last one. He was able to quote how much or how it will be with the auto transport. He was also able to give a rough estimate on how much having U-Haul load the car to the auto transport along with the reassurance that they'll have these boards that will increase the elevation of the car in case the height clearance were not met. He was also able to give pertinent information on how to transport computer monitors. That was a huge help. On Friday (2024/12/13), I was able to come in and pick up the truck and auto transport. Since this was my first time, I asked a lot of questions, and the two clerks were able to answer me fully although I did have to instigate all the queries. I only wish that they could have been more preemptive in orienting their customers especially the likes of me who has never driven a truck, let alone drive one with an auto transport and driving to another state. Also, I wish there was more information given about the gasoline situation. (More on the gasoline situation later.) I did feel kind of rushed at a few portions of the interaction. I was being methodical and really thorough. I also saw no other customer, so I felt confident that I was not holding anyone up. I really appreciated the tip on taking pictures of the truck and auto transport to make sure that I would not be liable on anything. The next day when I arrived at my destination, I called the number on the contract and the number was for a Chevy dealer. I called U-Haul Moving & Storage of Chatsworth, and the male voice who answered was really helpful. He checked the information. I really appreciated the clarification on the amount of gasoline to put in the car. Because of this hint, I was able to fill the tank with the correct amount. (I wish car rental places would copy this practice.)
VINCE VI lost more than 3 hours because they sent me to the station 8 am and they were closed until 11:30 am then I had to drive to another station to pick up the truck, I lost almost half of my day and had to pay 3 guys for doing nothing.

Georgia ZI moved out, because every time I went to use my unit, I was hassled and harassed by day laborers. Often times they even block the entrance to the parking lot. Terrible experience. The staff is helpful, and other than being understaffed often, they were fine

Initially, my experience was terrible due to some extremely bad treatment I received from an employee and the manager being only somewhat helpful. I was weary every time I had to return there. Thankfully, there must've been a change in management and employees because from my third revisit onward, everyone was exceedingly friendly, helpful and polite.

Also, the lights shut off within a minute, so I hit my head because it went dark when I was retrieving things from my storage unit. Completely unsafe

He initially couldn't find my reservation and then didn't acknowledge he found it and made me feel like it was my fault and I did it all wrong. After I saw the unit, I went in to speak to him because it was too small. He initially told me that he didn't have a larger one when he had just told me that there was one bigger when he couldn't find my original booking. The reality was he was having trouble finding it but could only admit that much later. I apologize for us getting off on the wrong foot, which was glad to accept, but he did not reciprocate in any way, so I gave up pursuing that path. A few hours later, as I was unloading, his employee ignored me as I tried to ask him 3x why he was walking around my trailer. When he finally responded, he was totally disrespectful. He rudely told me he worked there, as if that gave the right to do whatever he wanted to and dismissed people who speak to him. This angered me so I called him on that and he just upped his rude attitude. I told him he must hate his job and he physically threatened me. I then told him I'd call the police but he didn't seem to care. The manager came by right then and I told him what happened and all he did was tell his employee not to talk to me. There was no apologies offered and his employee was reprimanded in any way. The manager did give me an extra day on my trailer rental for free. I needed that because all their storage units were much smaller than I expected and the only other unit available was slightly bigger than the one I'd originally rented. I thought of finding another place to storage but I had to return the trailer there so I really had no choice. I wasn't told it was on the upper level so I had to spend a lot of time negotiating what I could actually put in the space. The whole experience didn't make me feel valued as a person but as just another nameless faceless customer who clearly doesn't have feelings and shouldn't speak out their thoughts when they're being mistreated. It is also clearly a place that has a culture that promotes not admitting to doing anything wrong and never apologizing, and that offering additional days free makes up for it.

Entrance size to storage unit not listed, it was doorway sized, not the full width of the unit. Unit, even though it was taller than bottom unit, not meant for heavy boxes since the boxes would have to be carried up a ladder.... Big safety issue!

Secure building, which is great, as our storage units at Public Storage were broken into 3 times this year. Especially convenient setup when you need to rent a truck or trailer and your storage unit is right there at the same facility - and first months rent was free because we did rent a trailer - that's how we found out about their storage facility - a $150 savings! Clean facility, well lit. On a scale of 5 stars, we actually give it 10 stars. Well done u-haul!! Personal request - Please build bigger units, we'd love to move all of our storage needs to you.
