I have been trying to resolve a billing issue with the management of this location for 3 days. The management staff is non responsive. I have been told on two desperate that I will be receiving a return call from management. Still nothing. Email messages have been very adversarial. Given my experience to this point, I will never use this Uhaul location again.

I was told the insurance was MANDATORY and I had to pay for a service that I did not need or want. This information was forwarded to me, not at the time of booking, but at the time of having to pickup and pay for the vehicle. I received a $11 charge that I did not want or have any intentions of taking part of. The manager was rude and stated "you either take it or leave it, no questions asked! I am giving you a $40,000 vehicle for $40 bucks so you have to play by my rules." In addition, since when do you require a reference to rent a vehicle??? In order to receive a vehicle, I needed to provide a reference stating that I was real, even though I presented to the store and offered several different types of identification. Although the van was new and clean, the staff was rude and forced me to purchase a product to rent the van, even though I did not want it

Speedy in and out. When I returned the truck, I didn't have to wait in line. The young lady came around, grabbed the keys and emailed my receipt. After moving in the most horribly hot and humid weather, all I wanted to do was go home and relax, and she made it easy to do so. Excellent staff!!!

Truck was in bad condition. Scrapes and dents everywhere. The inside of the box was dirty. It had footprints and mud in it. The moms attic part had debris and dust on it. The dolly was already uncliped and I'm worried I will be getting charged for useing it when I didn't. The staff I checked out with didn't seem to know what was going on. Had no idea where the truck was that I was suppose to get and was very disinterested if helping me locate it. She did not explain some of the charges. I still don't know what the extra $59. 90 rental charge is for. I wasn't briefed on return protocol so I parked the truck where I had found it then luckily so some met me while walking up and told me where I was suppose to park then eventually briefed me that I didn't need to do anything else besides just leave it there. Overall this was a very poor experience for me using this uhaul location.

When dropping off the equipment we were quickly rushed away, told we didn’t need to do anything. They miscalculated our mileage charging us hundreds of dollars in fees and when I called to question it, I was very rudely told it wasn’t their fault and to call the pick up location. Upon looking in to the incident further it was their mistake. They were less than helpful and I will not be using their location again.

The General Manager was very unapproachable, attitudinal and unwelcoming all together. It was so uncomfortable. He didn’t tell us we didn’t have a dolly or even offer any uhaul needs a customer with a 26’ truck would need nor did he show us the truck was located or tips on how to drive such a big truck. He just went on to the next person in line. I had to go back in and ask where is the truck located. Any questions my wife and I would ask he responded with short, no eye contact responses so we stopped asking questions. It was the hardest move I have ever experienced.

It would be nice to have more staff available at least two, a person inside at the desk and one outside with the returns and parking guidance. I had to call the desk from my cell phone to help assistance and waited over 10 minutes. It appears other customers had the same issue when they arrived as well. 1 person covering the desk and outside is not working. Also the rentals appear to not have phone charger outlets so I had to pull over during my move to buy the old school cigarette adapter to be able to access my apps on my phone especially WAZE for directions. I’d like to see the dolly’s be included with the rental packages instead of a separate price. It will help to make the moves faster and then give renters more time to return the vehicles on time. The website said this location was open 24/7 but I guess that’s not true either. Offer more parking spots for customers please.

WAited over an hour and a half for a truck when I had a reservation, was almost sent away because they didn't have anything and finally got a truck that was not checked in properly and prior person had used dolly and worker tried to tell us we used it and my husband had to argue that NO we did not touch that dolly. And after waiting all that time for the truck they did not adjust our 8 hour time window to account for the time that we did not have it. Would not recommend them to anyone after that. Made an already difficult day of moving even harder.

Arranging for our truck was easy and our contacts were very professional. My only complaint is that on the morning of the pick up, we had a long wait. It seems that there would have been more staff on hand to take care of the demand.

Waited a week for appointment. Just to be told the day of the appointment the parts were never ordered. Rescheduled. Second appointment parts still not in. Neither time did uhaul call and tell me, I had to keep calling and wait on hold. 3rd appointment I showed up, only to have had my appointment moved forward one day with no notification to me. Would never use this location again. When I wanted to pay in cash and use my card for partial payment the GM complained about having to do a bank run and was visibly irritated at me. F**k this location and f**k those lazy ass people you have working there. 3 weeks and 400$ later worse service I ever had at uhaul. Not even a basic discount for all the BS you put me through.

My original reservation was from Friday to Monday. The order was placed via a telephone call and no issues at that time. At the time of picking up the vehicle, the office manager told me the reservation was not in place for a Monday return but needed to be back Saturday afternoon/Sunday morning. If this could not be agreed, the rental would not be released. This inconvenience caused my institution additional monies for staff having to shift schedules and the entire plan was disrupted and needed to be re planned and staffed. I truly hope this was a mistake by the local branch.

I came into contact with two individuals (one being the manager), and both seemed completely uninterested in what they were doing. Pushy, apathetic and frustrated would be the words I'd use to describe these folks. It made the rental and moving process just a little more disappointing than it needed to be. I personally won't be using this location again.

They said I scrapped the damn thing and I know for a fact I never touched or dinged anything on the damn truck. They tell me to inspect it by comparing it to a small picture on my phone. I cant see the everything it wa dirty how was I suppose to know it was a scrape

I encountered very poor customer service. I was told it would take about an hour to install the hitch. I left and came back about 45 minutes later and waited in the chair near the shop. I listened and watched as the mechanic (John Paul Vargas) took a 30 minute phone call with what sounded like family problems. He was cussing the whole time. I waited and waited, and it turned into a 2 hour install. When he went to the counter to cash me out, he didn't even acknowledge me, and then stopped what he was doing to text someone. This is unacceptable behavior on any job, much less one that involves customer service.

The day before renting I had gone in to inquiry about renting there was a girl and a I think with a beard and mustache they were very friendly and kind but when I went in the very the next day and rented the van it was a different staff member. I don't think he was very nice he didn't greet me and made everything I did or asked about seemed like it was too much work there was no one else there except me so it wasn't busy he just came across as unfriendly an attitude. Yes I did think about changing my rental when I was there to maybe a trailer or I wanted the van that had seem to have the taller ceiling both times he's like well I already put it through not even taking a few moments or even asking me what I would prefer. When I tried to make the reservation on the phone I gave my cell phone number and it didn't show any of my information so I told him I just him I just wanted to use my home number and he wouldn't let me do it and he said I couldn't use an email. That was kind of upsetting to me so I called the West Springfield store to schedule my rental that day for Chicopee and she said I didn't need to use my cell phone and that I could use an email so maybe that's why he had attitude with me when I went in that day to the Chicopee store

This U-Haul location was wonderful. We'd initially booked a U-Haul with the location in Springfield, MA but upon arrival, we were told the 20-foot truck was no longer available and we'd only be given a 10-foot truck. Not ideal for a four-person family moving. At the last minute, we contacted the Chicopee location, where they had a 15-foot truck and made the last-minute arrangements a breeze.

the clerk at pickup was great. Issues began during the rental. the rental agreement noted a return date of 3/17 (Sunday) at 5:00PM. I received a call around 3:00 PM Sunday and the caller told me that the Truck I rented was due back on Saturday and was now overdue. Of course I rented a trailer not a truck and it was not overdue. When I relayed that info to the caller he rudely asked when he could expect the rental returned. I told him it was on thw way and I expected to be there within a few hours. Then I received a notice of an additional charge to my credit card, I called the rental location the next day and was told that there two charges for a total of $64. That there could be issues with my credit card company. now my statement is shoeing three charges for a total of $76. I have been on the phone for about 15 minutes with Customer Service to correct the charges..

Everyone at this location is fantastic. Friendly, helpful, funny, and most if all, caring and kind. I would never do busi ess with any other U-Haul in the area. Kyle is an exceptional manager and you can tell that his employees have a great deal of respect for him. That says everything!!!!!

Was not told I was to pick up at a different location then what I had chosen. When I got there the trailer was out of service. They had to go get it working. Customer service told me one thing about a discount store could not discount and then customer service transferred me to a women that didnt give me her name and said there was nothing she would do. I believe she was in the trafficking department or something like that. She said nope we always send out a text message. Well I didnt get one and guess what another family at this location there for the exact same reason and they had to travel farther. I had to reschedule a washer dryer delivery which now I have to take of a day off of work to be at home for a 4 hour window. Overall horrible experience on all ends. To top it off I forgot 1 box and wrapping in the back of truck and it cost me 15 dollars. That should have been explained to me when I signed paperwork. If they would have called me I would have come back and disposed of it. I'll never rent uhaul again. Which sucks because I have my daughters apartment to move coming up.

The Chicopee Office made us wait for 20 minutes before someone came over to input the numbers into a machine. This was on Friday. I received a call 4 days later asking if I still had the auto-transport because it was not in the system. I don't know what happened other than the fact that I don't have the transport though I have a receipt proving that I did return it. I do not appreciate being blamed for someone else's screw-up. I will be calling back until this is resolved, though it speaks rather poorly about the Uhaul in Chicopee as this is not the first time that they have screwed up my orders.

I didn't like that the hand truck was wire tied to the inside of the cargo area. As it turns out I had one large object to move and the hand truck was in my way but I didn't want to remove it and get charged. I think your policy should ask if this was a needed piece of equipment.

There was a mixup with the reservation.. sent us to WestSpringfield, only to be sent back to Chicopee. However, staff worked to get out it straightened out, and after that all was fine.
