JAMES J | Expérience généraleI was very discouraged when our card was charged for 3 gallons of gas. Also $15 charge for insurance twice. I put $20 (5,79 gallons) worth of gas which put the gage slightly higher when we first picked up the truck. So that's 8,79 gallons of gas. If you do the math the truck get's maybe 4 miles to the gallon. I believe something isn't right. Thank You.
John HWhen I arrived at another location on a Sunday and my vehicle was unavailable, I was worried I would need to reschedule my move. The U-haul customer service team was readily available via phone and helped transfer my truck share to Colmar. At Colmar, the staff were pleasant and professional - they accommodated me at a moments notice and helped diffuse an otherwise very stressful situation. I would highly recommend U-haul and specifically this location for any moving and storage needs.
Wesley SIi ordered truck via the haul website and all that I needed to do was show up and you could access your vehicle. I would not recommend this service as I tried and tried but no go. Thank goodness an employee came in very early and helped me get my rental! She was AWESOME (I didn't get her name) she had me on the road, because of this positive great customer service, I will be a repeat customer.

Joseph BThis is not the first time i did mobile pickup with my phone. BUT, at this location, they dont always put the key in the combo box.. the app asks you to go in to the front of the line and stand to the side of the couter. 1. Its very uncomfortable walking to the front of a line of people who have been waiting; who dont know why your doing it. Someone said something to me (a patron).. 2 There is no clear marking to go to a line where it clearly identifies the person is doing a mobile pickup. 3. did go to the side of the counter, but the russian woman working the desk,, was very nice, but never looked over to me. I waited for 2 other groups who did not do the mobile pickup until i got my key (waiting in line for about 15 minutes). That was not fun, why bother to check in on the app if you have to stand inline anyway ... but.. the new Dodge Cargo VAn was a joy to drive. Thank you for upgrading it from those sticky dirty old ones

greg rThe customer service picking up the truck was indifferent even poor, unlike similar experiences renting from UHaul in South Carolina. Very disappointing. The truck itself ran very poorly. The engine was struggling during the entire trip. Very disappointing. All told, U-Haul will be my last option of choice.

EDWARD PMy U-Haul experience was not positive. I started off at one site and had to wait over 20 minutes to talk to someone only to find out that the truck wasn't set up appropriately and I either had to wait a month or go to another site. When I went to the other site (in Colmar) they didn't see the credit, the person working with me never processed a one-way trip and The truck was still in a spot that wasn't shoveled. Basically they had to call to get any answers.

Scott MCustomer service was rude. They were not understanding or reasonable about my truck return being late. I explained to them that the inclement weather (heavy rain) delayed my moving process - they experienced the same weather - yet they were rude and charged me another full day. They provided a $9 dollar fuel credit due to the truck not being at a 1/4 of a tank from the beginning of the rental and they did not apply at the return. Things happen in life and sometimes not being rude and being understanding can help the process better. Merci.

I had been paying for the storage of 2 full containers for several months but when I requested my containers be delivered, empty containers were delivered instead of my full ones. My containers were eventually found and delivered the next day. Everything arrived in good condition but it was a stressful situation for awhile.

Marshall MAt first I was disappointed to be given this location, as my original location was Telford. Came as a surprise that it was switched on me due to inventory. Colmar was a great location with wonderful service, and the vehicle was great!

COREY MI find it concerning that the utility dolly that is placed and secured in each truck cannot be removed from the vehicle by one of your staff members when advised I would not be needing it. I rented the vehicle based on the volume and measurements of the interior portion of the truck. The utility dolly takes up one square foot of that space on the floor. When I asked the employee to remove it as I would not be using it, I was told that they were unable to do so, and that if I removed it to make room for the items I was moving, I would be charged for it even though I was not using it. On some levels, this would be considered fraud as you're advertising the space within the truck when in fact, the utility dolly that you are placing in the vehicle, takes up some of that space. This is not about the money. This is merely about the principle.

Louis MCustomers service need improvement just hire new respectful people system need to be updated no assistance or worker willing to help my experience was incredibly horrible didn't even care about personal property and your thing 1760 Park Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24501 the workers are disrespectful and no kind of customer service also stole my dollie brand new that I purchase to load the truck saying they would shot someone in conversation it's what kind of place is being ran there we ended up have to picking the truck up from a location 30min away from me and then the trailer was a hr away with no warning the truck and trailer wasn't available. This was very disappointing and I will be speaking to corporate on this count on it

Access hours are inconvenient, though, specially closing at 10pm is insufficient when one is running late because the truck was made available later than originally scheduled, pushing all other work back three hours. And no, camping outside until 5am the next day is not an option, certainly not when one's home is located 80 miles away.
Carlos F | Premières impressionsThe unit I reserved was unavailable so I called customer service and talked to 3 people over the course of an hour before being forwarded to the Colmar staff. The best customer service reply I got from Colmar associates answering the phone was "yeah the website sucks for me too and messes up all the time". I said that's not a good enough solution for me and he said "I know the customer service reps on the phone are just sitting somewhere in their home out of state and don't have any idea what it's like to be sitting at a store location and have people screaming at them. I know you aren't screaming at me though". Horrendous reply when I asked for a reservation inconvenience fee. Once at the location, it took 3 workers and 15 minutes to actually get my unit. They miss billed me when I had a first month free and had to change all the paperwork again. I was as patient as I could be after an out of state move to be treated this poorly. Uhaul, do better.

I originally arrived to the Colmar Storage with a reservation, but I could not access the unit, and it was still listed as TBD. I called UHaul and was told to book a second storage reservation so that I could gain access, and that the reservations would be combined to give this unit as my free unit. The other unit was cancelled, however, the new unit was never moved to be my free monthly unit. This process took me 2 1/2 sitting outside the storage gate at UHaul in Colmar.
