Nobody went over the truck or trailer with me. The engine light was on and reported to 6 different people. Nobody did anything about it except to tell me I could take it somewhere and have it checked myself and asked me if I had insurance on it. Then said I would be covered if I broke down. I had AC issues, hesitation issues with the engine and then the radiator light came on as well. I am pretty angry that they put me in such a position. Absolutely disgusting.

The passenger side door does not close properly

This caused serious delays and more out of pocket for helping hands for this project. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had with a rental . Staff at this location was NO help and very inexperience.

SHANESE P.The truck was clean. However, the armrest on the pax side was missing; the back roll up door was a major struggle to open and to close. As I drove the vehicle on the interstate the unit at irregular intervals begin to decelerate. This was not due to the speed governor. This act occurred at slower speeds than the set speed of the control measure. Not to mention, being charged $20 to check the vehicle in because I didn't check it in using the mobile app. This was a one day rental which was returned during the same date. Uhaul charged me a 2nd day rental charge. I had to call customer service to get this resolved. I was likely on hold for a much longer time than it takes to check in a truck. My $20 should be returned for that reason alone. Ashley the corporate customer service rep was exceptional in addressing my concerns and refunding the over-charges, minus the $20. The whole experience feels like uhaul adds a host of nickel and dime fees to the customer. The additional fees were bad and the condition of the truck was even worse.

Juan L.I was originally at a different location and sat there for over an hr waiting for someone to open the location and give me the keys. I had to call customer service 4-7 times and was disconnected and not ever called back even though they said they would. I called one last time and asked for my 1 hr reservation to be transferred to this location and was still given a hard time because 3 people were scheduled to rent the same vehicle. The customer service person was not very helpful and had to get a manager and all of the customer service staff was so lackluster and blah. They didn't greet any customers or tell anyone where to stand in line and people behind me were asking the manager helping me why isn't the customer service up to parr and the manager ignored them and the rude lady processing a refund for a customer not present waved her hand as if to shoo the customer away. I got a different vehicle than I wanted and wasn't offered any incentive to ever come back and I probably won't.
Anna J.Driver side windshield wiper bade was bad. I ran into heavy rain and it would not wipe the rain away well enough for me to see. I had to lean over and barely look over the top of the steering wheel to find a clear spot. UHaul.com gave me a location in Chattanooga, TN, I was in Dalton. I could not drive another 30-45 minutes in heavy rain. I had a new wipe blade installed & paid myself. I asked (via text) how to file for reimbursement. No response. I also told them about my items getting wet (see below). No response. The reimbursement was handled at drop off. ALSO, as I unloaded, several items were wet. Apparently the truck box has a leak in two areas.

They had a the size truck on the lot that I reserved and was told it was an out of town truck with a reservation. I was pretty sure at this point I was tired of hearing about everyone else's reservation and not mine. After sitting for two hours they finally called someone who was late for their reservation and they weren't coming so I was able to take their truck. Then I was told you can have their reservation. I has 4 people at my house at $25 and hour for 2 hours waiting to help move me. Yeah this was absolutely terrible and cost me more than it should have. I must of heard about others and their reservations 10 times!!! Something needs to be done to make this right!

The sad thing is that they told me there was nothing they could do to help me, because I did not have Uhaul insurance,I had to beg for 1 month free rent. The sad thing was I had 2 storage units 3110 and 30101 in my name and 1 in my husband's name and we had it for almost 2 years. So now I have a bedroom set without a dresser I just emptied the unit on January 30, 2022.

There were a few things that went wrong with me trying to reserve a storage unit from not being available, wrong unit, and then to no unit being reserved. Kayla was a blessing by being able to work her magic and honor the info. provided due to a mishap after not having anything available! Staff member Madison was EXCELLENT to include her thoroughness and knowledge about the reservation and unit process, her effective communication, professionalism, and patience displayed for all the questions that I had. Upon me returning the next day after realizing I would not need a storage unit, I was helped by staff member Shauntae or Shondra (please forgive me if name or spelling is wrong), but she was just as pleasant and helpful! This is a perfect example of why Good Customer Service is so important! The treatment from the names mentioned above made up for the entire negative experience that I had with U-Haul prior to my arrival.

My daughter is severely allergic to mold and mildew we couldn't bring anything from the unit into our home. It is clean and well maintained The biggest negative was that due to the very narrow hallways and low ceiling ductwork, we had one piece of furniture that could not be maneuvered to our unit. That single piece now must be stored elsewhere. Suggest that in future customers should be alerted that their large furniture may not fit into some units, even though the unit is large enough for the furniture. Also, the overall building design is not moving friendly. Hallways should be at least 1ft wider, or designated areas should be wider

In addition, the only lock that was on my unit was that of the staff (not my original lock) after being told that my lock will remain in place. Additionally, I have called the day that I was moving out of my unit and reported the incident...sent emails and still, "no response." As an end result, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone. I have been a customer for over 17yrs and this is the first bad experience that I have had at this location.
