Everything went well although the employee said a stand up dolly was missing when I returned the truck. There was never a dolly in the truck, I did not need a stand up dolly. I didn't appreciate being spoken to like I knew it was there when it was in fact not there. Maybe better examination of the truck with the customer would be a good idea.

My complaint relates more to your website than the person at this location. Setting a limit of 81 miles at no charge seems a ridiculous number, and it was never apparent to me nor explained to me that I'd be charged extra for additional miles...until I returned the truck at a different location.

The only problem was that the previous renters had left big empty boxes in the back of the truck so I had to dispose of them.

The self check in was nothing short of infuriating. They mde me walk through about 100 yards of mud to get tothe truck, only tohave to turn aroud and walk back to the beginingto get my key once I found my van. Then walk allthe way back so my shoes were gross. I then lost connection with your server even though no other app had a problem on my phone. I had to go into the office anyways where I was told by the girl :"Oh that happens every day. I was gonna call you and tell you not to do the self service, but we arent allowed to call obnce that is selected". I was beyond annoyed. I then somehow lost my drivers license in the van when I got back in. I think it slid in the huge crack above the cup holders and called the guy atthe desk who told me it wasnt his problem and nothing he could do. I hacve had a huge problem with Uhaul EVERY time I have been forced to use your company and I am done! I will be posting this review to Facebook,Yelp, and the Better Busiess Bureau in hopes that you are forcedto change your awful practices to prevent such awful service in the future.I am so mad I paid a little under $100 for this awful disgusting service.

I had a great experience overall. The Saugus, MA location didn't have the size trailer I needed. The woman agent did a search and found one at the Danvers, MA location. She did all of necessary paper work so I just had to pick up the trailer in Danvers. However I did rent the trailer a few days and had to unhitch it from my vehicle and found it very difficult without a tongue jack especially in the snow. The tongue weight exceeds more than 50lbs. Empty, and if there is cargo in it would be impossible without a tongue jack, especially in an emergency or flat tire change. I keep myself very fit. This type of condition will cause an injury sooner or later to your staff or customers. You should consult a Safety professional for guidance on this. Thanks Al

When I arrived and entered location I walked directly into a large dog laying on the floor staring at me. I was startled and frightened not knowing if the dog would bite me. I begin to back away slowly because no one else was in the showroom. I walked around to the side of the building to figure out why no one was in the showroom. As I waited, finally a gentleman walk towards me and I followed him into the showrooms. He explained that the dog was harmless. However,that doesn't dissuade the anger of having to walk into a showroom in the face of a large dog. After my contract was completed, I was directed to walk back to the rear of the building where the truck was parked on a severely muddy nasty parking lot. I got mud all over my shoes. That is ridiculous! You're charging $1,09 per mile but you don't have the money to pay the parking lot? When I returned the truck before closing, I waited for someone to come out and meet me because the building was still open. I finally walked towards the building and noticed that the attendant was in deep sleep behind the counter sitting on a chair. As I open the front door he was startled and woke up. Much to my surprise, the large dog was still there. I love animals. However, this is not Mom and Pop small business. why am I having to step over a dog in order to do business in your establishment? This is ridiculous. This experience could have been much more pleasant. ...Much more pleasant if UHaul cared enough to make it that way.

I arrived at this location without a reservation just after opening. The service I received was unmotivated and impersonal, as if I was putting the individual out by being there. In the afternoon when I returned the trailer my experience was much better. The women I dealt with was friendly and personable.

Why are you so inflexible on purchasing or renting additional items like padding/blankets for a truck when you could have just done a separate charge? It seems that getting blankets/padding has to be done with another purchase and once that purchase is closed out, there is no way to buy separately. This is wired.

First you really need to improve on customer service, specially the girl front desk I believe her name is Tatiana, she was very rude to me and my friend when we enter the store 5 min before opening time even though the door was open, instead of being welcoming and explaining the situation she basically yelled at us for going in, very bad employee to be honest.

I don't know the girls name or the gentleman working with her, but both were really friendly and made my van rental very simple. I was sitting in my car after I returned it and saw both of them wiping and cleaning a van that I left spotless. Seeing them clean a spotless van that I just returned made me very comfortable with renting from them again. Putting in the extra effort was fantastic. Great team there!! Highly recommend!!!

Overall, it was a good experience except when I was incorrectly told that I did not replace the gas I used. According to your mileage estimates for a Cargo Van, it states approximately 18 miles per gallon. I started with 607 mi on the odometer and brought it back with 652,6 miles which = 45,2 miles, so I put in 3 gallons of gas (3 x 18 mpg = 56 miles so I thought I was all set since I allowed for only 15 MPG not the 18 MPG on your website for this vehicle. The person checking me out pointed to what looked like a hand highlighted fuel gauge reading on a piece of paper that was a tiny bit higher than 1/2 a tank which is what it seemed to read when I left the rental location. I only have your mpg estimates to help me figure out how much to put so I am not happy about being charged an additional 1-gallon charge. It certainly is not a lot of money, but I still feel that this was not calculated properly and left feeling disappointed by that for what overall was a good experience. I am asking you to refund the $4,2 to my credit card or give me a good reason why my calculation was incorrect and not accepted by your worker.

The Danvers, MA (Newbury Street, US RTE 1 North) facility has always had personable managers for years, including now. I had climate controlled storage. My goods were odor free and dust free. No damage. I do move frequently and often need long term storage. I will be a repeat customer. Mark

Stafff used the computer to accesses my personal information and text me hitting on me and then later told me his girl found out that he texted me and face mad and she is the manager there. I argued with the staff about the inappropriateness of all this and now I'm afraid to go there and access my storage units because I fear running into them

I was really really upset when I got stuck in the process of moving my things from state to state to this facility because. As I am in the process of moving the elevator got stuck and did not work I could not get out my family could not come and get me out. I had to call uhaul 1800 number I kept on getting hanged up I also used the customer button and no response I have to call the fire department and police to come help me out. I think it was a set back for me and the people that came to help me waiting on someone to come get me out and get this rolling so I can finish and get the help out of there and that was not the case. There something that should be done?? I need some type of answers here.??? Some type of compensation on my lost time and others involved. Like what I'm the helll is there no system for this? Why are there no stairs set in place for such a thing to happen to anyone they can get out the building?? I mean just having to go thrue this is kind of insane. For business and repeat business it makes you double think about it or to be able to recommend somebody I don't know . Very very disappointing to have to deal with this situation while you tired and exhausted and the to add this to it it's disgusting for real!! I'm nog happy at all… actually very mad.

The office bookkeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Lost checks and harassing phone calls when the mistakes were their fault. Not worth it.

I had rented a 10ft truck for a day with the intention of moving the contents of my bedroom into my storage unit. When I arrived on site, they were closed so I used the code like instructed, however it took me an hour to be able to get the door open. I was only able to open it after someone else using a storage unit had told me that the door is broken and you need to put all of your force into it to pull the door open. There was not a single sign on the door stating this and if it hadn't been for the other customer I would have never known. After I was able to open the door, I went up to the unit, where I discovered that the unit was way too small to fit the contents of my 10ft truck. Prior to this, I had spoken to someone on the phone (who I made both the truck and storage unit reservation with) who assured me numerous times that the unit I purchased would fit all of my stuff. I had to drive to my parents house two states away to unload all of my stuff at 11pm at night and am now going to be charged over $200 for the miles I had to drive with your error.

When I went in to reserve my storage unit prices were clearly marked in several areas but when I purchased my unit I was charged a totally "higher price" when I questioned the price because it did not match I was told "oh those prices are outdated" I then said don't you think they should be updated? The girl responded we don't have the time to change them!

My only complaint is that I called to report my un-ability to cover the current month and said that I would make a double payment the following month. Since then I received 3 phone calls got 2 letters sent to my back up person about it. My first time. Enough already.

Staff was nice and friendly but took almost an hour checking us in and cost us money as we had movers which were hired by the hour waiting for the storage unit to be assigned. It should not be that difficult to locate a reservation and assign a customer a storage unit.

it was a positive ecperiance until i needed help with the move out process so i called and got a very rude and unprofesinal person who answered and basicly stated that i had to be standing in the show room to do the move out process and told me to read my contract and thats thier policy nothing in the contract that says that by the way in fact u-haul has a process for doing it on line. maybe some better training or retraining in this case because ive heard him on site being rude to other customers

Charles and Tatiana were both very friendly and helpful and patient. "Patience is a virtue" The monthly cost is high and a discount for being a first responder would help.

I've been trying for over a month to only be paying for the storage unit that I have and I am still currently paying for two storage units and they want me to do the running around canceling and starting a storage unit is a basic operation that U-Haul performs and they cannot seem to do it correctly it's been over a month and I am still paying for two storage units and I only have one

I needed storage while I was waiting to move. This was my first experience using a storage center. Beth and her team made the experience a good one. I was usually there on Saturdays and Cynthia and Charlie were friendly and attentive. Ned kept the place looking good. Sharon and Rose always had a smile. Matt and Billy were there to answer questions. If I left anyone out know that I never left UHaul Danvers without thinking, that was a good experience. If I need storage in the future I know where to go. I've told friends about UHaul too. Merci!

I had a unit for roughly 10 years and U-Haul of Danvers was consistently a quality storage service provider. They are the example of how to do storage right. I only left because I moved away from the area. Thank you for all the years of great service!

The UHaul in Danvers is always clean and the folks who work there are friendly and helpful. I moved from another storage company and have been so happy with the move. I have a couple of units and the storage fees have remained pretty stable, as well.

The questions above do not match the criteria needed for this survey I never saw the facility. employee never offered A walk through to show me the unit. The location is on rte 1 North bound. Difficult for me to get there.I was told I could rent a unit for 50$/mo for 2 years. When I brought it up she was rude saying she never said it. Then I was told I had to buy a lock from you. You kept adding charges and I was overwhelmed. I never moved in. I went the next day and cancelled.

there were 2 females working at the location that were helpful there was an older man who tried to help me but he was not well trained (not his fault) And finally there was a young man with black hair who literally sat our whole exchange with his feet up on the counter space The young man did not look anything up in the computer to verify what I asked for service with and just did not seem in the mood to look Also I had issues accessing my storage after hours more than once even though that is what I paid for, this was corrected but I did have to come back to the office during office hours several times which defeats the purpose of 24/7 access

Staff helpful but the climate control faculty was poorly controlled and smelled of must or mold. Canceled my reservation since I could not store my belongings in such a poorly maintained facility

The associates were very friendly and helpful and it was easy to get in and out of the storage unit itself (once I got there). My one complaint is that traffic flow is difficult around the facility. I'm not sure how to resolve that. We didn't have too much of a problem but I imagine during your busy times if there are a lot of people there, parking and access might be difficult. Also, the entrance is sort of hidden and easy to miss, and I was very glad to see you put a lighted sign at the entrance from route 1--that will help with visibility. The associates behind the counter were all very cheerful and helpful and this makes up for any physical difficulties of the place! Thank you very much!!

The woman in the front office was professional and extremely helpful in showing me everything I would need to know, including checking in and out of the unit, using the truck, etc. She even went so far as to help me check and adjust my rear view mirrors for safe driving. She made the process of renting a unit and a truck entirely stress-free. A+. Many thanks!
