I had the worst experience with the company located in Daytona I was given a truck that broke down on me several times roadside service came a couple of times I was told I was given a day and then actually I was charged an extra day I'm calling corporate in the morning this was the worst experience of my life. They insisted I drive a truck that was not driving right at all I feared for myself and told by that company that I had to return the truck I had to drive it when two nights earlier I was told that it was getting towed nobody contacted me and said anything two days later I get a nasty message saying that I have to pay for this truck this is insane and I will be contacting the corporate office in the morning

Make your policy and procedure for returning equipment after hours a little more user friendly. It was too difficult to make it known that the equipment was returned and the time it was returned even after following the instructions printed on the rental contract

The truck leaked water inside the cabin through the seatbelt assembly. Driving from Florida in storms, my partner was soaked and unable to wear her belt at times.

This location is the central hub for the area, so it is going to be nice and was nice.

Get an entire new team of staff. The outside workers 2:00om shift are hard working individuals as I have been renting from this location for over ten years. However the customers service and overall professionalism of staff and management is lacking severely. They are rude and condescending and careless with customer reservations and concerns. Surprised that this can be a "corporate" Uhaul , as this location tends to make up their own rules every other week. I would never recommend this location to anyone. The influx of turnover's for employees sets the tone on what kind of business is actually run here.

My original reservation stated a 2 day rental with 164 miles and the contract given to me at pick up was changed to 1 day and 102 miles and I do not remember the changed amounts being brought to my attention. So I was charged extra for 1 day plus mileage. Why was reservation information changed?

In my move, I used another place closer to the house for the 26' truck and the 12' trailer. This time, for the motorcycle trailer, they didn't have one available and they rerouted me to this location. The difference in the two is that the 700 W International Speedway location was extremely helpful in getting me going. The person who took my license, etc. at the other location just told me to go out back, get the equipment, and leave. I loaded, attached the trailers, wired it, checked it out. They came out and gave a once-over to see if the lights work. This place sent me outside and said a guy would meet me, who did, and he loaded it, plugged it in, set it on the ball hitch, etc. Very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely drive the extra 10 minutes to use these guys again.

The gentleman who checked us in upon return of the truck couldn't have been more helpful. It actually took less time to pick up and return the truck than renting a car at the airport. Would definately use Daytona Beach UHaul again.

Took me an hour to get out of Daytona Beach Location with car trailer. My question is this - why use app - est. reservation over a month ago - add in all your info just to have it asked again when you get there - by a woman who at 7am wanted to be anywhere but there. I specifically made my reservation for first thing in the morning and it was still a miserable experience. Then you have Rastafarian guy come out to do hook up. Tells me I need adapter - walks away - I wait 20 mins until I get fed up - walk back around building - I ask the guy "what's going on?" He tells me "I told you you need adapter". I'm like "you are wasting my ring time". I don't expect a lot out of haul - but this location is just terrible. Haul - if you ask me to put in all this info on your app - then why does it take so long to get asked all the same questions at location. You need to look to rental car companies on how they operate. This should be much more turn key. You should have system where you get a text or email that says your equipment is parked in #XYZ spot. Text if you need assistance with hook up, etc. Rethink how you operate - est. at locations like this one. They are busy - making a ton of money. Run it better.

I had a reservation for a pickup at 8:30am and when I arrived there was not even a truck assigned to my reservation and I had to wait 30 minutes for the store to open and wait in line with a dozen other people to re book. Fortunately they did have a truck for me, but I was running almost 2 hours behind by the time I got a truck. I requested 2 utility dolly's and they only had one available, but I didn't find that out until I got down the road and decided to check the back of the truck, discovering I had to turn around because they did not put any dolly's at all in the truck. The returns line filled with trucks from the night before had not even begun to get cleared until after the store was open, which also seems a bit lackluster. I was told I would get a credit of $50 because uhaul did not honor their "guarantee" that my reservation would be staged and ready for me when agreed upon. I did not end up receiving any reimbursement after all. I also want to note that the only reason I would recommend this location, and gave 2 stars instead of 1, is because they simply have the largest inventory around, making your chances higher of actually getting a truck in the case that the staff don't do their job like on Saturday night/sunday.

The only thing I would suggest is more customer service reps to provide check-in. There were about 14 people ahead of us in line so it took some time to get checked in. Maybe have a line dedicated to those of us who utilize the online reservations so we don't have to wait behind those who come in to pick out what they want. It takes time to answer all their questions and then they are told to come back at a later time in the day because what they want isn't available yet.

the young lady helping me struggled with getting the reservation correct. had wrong pick up location didn't get trailer I wanted. was upgraded to next one, lights didn't work, upgraded again. I thank the manager for helping me get a trailer, even though it was way oversized for my use. the hook up guy did great job.

The parking is a nightmare, about 5 spaces for customers. Facility is old/outdated, needs painted, cleaned, no lights in unit working, very bad musty smell, ceiling in unit damaged from rain, looks like it would fall in.

This is a joke. The light is out on the ceiling, floor dirty, dead bugs all over.I had to ask to have it swept out, they acted as if I had 4 heads ! NO PLACE TO PARK !! THEY NEED a complete do over,remodel,etc. A few employees were pleasant, the rest were jerks.

Lied about 24 hr access, and cost us money for a hotel due to our condo not allowing us to have a trailer on the property, so we had to get a hotel to park the uhaul trailer cause we couldn’t unload into your storage unit.

Easy process, affordable unit pricing with insurance for belongings available. Moving our stuff to storage was a simple process, although I wish Uhaul had more storage units at our Location Daytona Beach. It was a challenge to fit into the only unit left! Tetris masters, fit things in like puzzle pieces! Overall I can not complain.

I was given the truck 24 miles to go for empty. I returned it with more gas than I picked it up with. I was still charged an additional $30 for fuel. Even though I had already spent $30 on fuel. I was never given any copies of the paperwork, I had to ask. I find this to be very wrong. They said they gave me a $30 fuel credit to begin with, which I see see, but it is not reflected in the original bill or anywhere. Never again with uhaul unless I feel getting ripped off again.

The gas mileage on the rental truck was wrong, I told them before I left and they said just use the app, I'm busy. Today they charged my bank account for November payment which over draft my account. Obviously I should not have been charged since this very survey says I left. I'm beyond unhappy and would like corporate to contact me.

My U-Box was given to us on the trailer backwards so we got it home, and had to take the whole thing back to have it switched around. Everything I own was in their storage, and is covered in rat poo.

I didn't go to the u-haul facility, everything was handled by phone, I had a U-Box not a moving truck, we packed it and U-haul shipped it. Few miscommunications but was able to resolve issues quickly.
